  I heard the carriage coming down the small road and sighed.

  “We have to go regretfully, Husband.”

  “Only if you hold my hand when we tell your mother and mine that we eloped,” he joked. “I don’t think they’re going to be too happy with us.”

  I clasped his hand in mine. “Whatever we do, we will do it together as one.”

  “As one forever, Wife.”

  We had many plans in front of us and a future that was brighter than the sun, that at the moment was beginning to rise higher and higher. As we left the small cabin behind and the castle came into view, I knew that no matter what we faced we would face it together as King and Queen of the realm of Ancora.
