He stood still at Deva looked at him, sipping his drink. "Why not. I have plenty and they are just waste to me. But leave the drugs and whatever else you have left of the alcohols. I'm enjoying the variety and tastes."
Shane resisted the urge to pump his arm.
"Of course. I have no use for them. I'll show you how to use the few you haven't tried."
An hour later Shane had shown Deva how to snort coke, smoke crack, and smoke pot. The pot, Deva loved, especially the edibles chocolate version Shane had brought. Deva duplicated a huge bar, closing his eyes in pleasure at the THC laced candy.
"This is excellent mixed with the maple whiskey. Thank you. Now go. Come back in a year and show me what you have achieved."
Shane gathered up ten full feathers that looked like you could make quills out of them they were so perfect, and sixteen tiny down ones that smelled of incense. As he lifted them and shook them, the dirt fell off revealing radiant glowing feathers.
He packed them up along with what he needed. He closed up and sealed the rest but left them in the cavern. If nothing else, it would give him a place to return if things got bad. Having an Angel as your safe house couldn't be a bad idea.
The next morning Shane left the mountain and headed out. He had a world to search, but at least now he had some idea of what he wanted to find, and what he needed to learn to make.
