ago, UNCENSORED broke exclusive Daytime Emmy Award reform news. Due to our prodding as to why web performers couldn’t submit their names in the main race because the literature doesn’t discriminate against platforms, NATAS immediately implemented a new category to temporarily rectify this murky area: Outstanding Performer in A Web Series. However, UNCENSORED has learned that NATAS has nixed the category. “We tried,” an insider says. “Maybe next year.” Whatever.

It’s A Miracle: GUIDING LIGHT Classics DVD Episode List!
With P&G apparently pulling all of its programming off of YouTube because of the controversial SOPA Bill, soap DVD sets are now more important than ever. Joining AS THE WORLD TURNS is GUIDING LIGHT, which is celebrating 75 years this month (buy SOAP OPERA DIGEST this week for a special tribute to the iconic sudser).
Here are the deets from WELOVESOAPS.NET: The Year of the Soap continues with good news for GUIDING LIGHT fans. The much-anticipated collection of 20 classic episodes on a new GUIDING LIGHT Classics DVD is finally here. You can order it now at SOAPCLASSICS.COM or click the banner at the top of the page.
Many of GUIDING LIGHT's all-time favourite actors are included like Charita Bauer, Michael Zaslow, Christopher Bernau, Mart Hulswit, Lisa Brown, Beverlee McKinsey, Jane Elliot, Peter Simon, Robert Newman, Grant Aleksander, Beth Ehlers, Cynthia Watros and Kim Zimmer. Those names just scratch the surface of the beloved actors and characters that appear on these 20 episodes.
Not only is the collection great viewing, it makes a great gift. Demand for this first release will heavily influence whether or not more episodes of GUIDING LIGHT will become available on DVD, and also improve prospects for other P&G classics.
The collection contains the same four categories that were used on the original AS THE WORLD TURNS Classics DVD, with five episodes chosen for each:
"Great Weddings"
"Secrets and Scandals"
"Villains and Vixens”
"Springfield Through the Years"
For full details of all the classic episodes included, head over to soapclassics.com.
IDIOT RATINGS
REVOLUTION TANKS IN THE RATINGS
Apparently, Tim Gunn can’t make it work! Marc Berman announced at TV Media Insights that in the 56 metered markets, THE REVOLUTION’s ratings went from a 1.6 down to a 1.3 by Thursday! Yikes. ONE LIFE normally measured a 2.0! Take that, ABC!
Meanwhile, THE CHICAGO SUN-TIMES wasn’t holding back when it reviewed the poorly executed lifestyle series. Here’s an excerpt:
“ABC’s new daytime talker, filling the time slot of the canceled ONE LIFE promises its team of lifestyle experts will help both viewers and its televised “heroes” of the week transform their bodies, minds, style, health and environment. What it actually delivers — besides one long Macy’s commercial — is a bunch of platitudes, lame tips (‘embrace color’), television’s millionth makeover and advice from the no-duh handbook.”
And if that isn’t enough to make a soap fan wet, ABC is dealing with more bad press regarding their plot to make daytime soaps extinct. Chelsea Handler skewered THE CHEW on her late-night talker, CHELSEA LATELY. That’s my gal.
Make sure you check out my interview with Handler in next week’s HELLO! CANADA.
SOAPILEAKS: This Week’s Hottest News, Gossip, and Reviews!
ALL MY CHILDREN — The Final Scene You Didn’t See!
• According to Chrishell Stause, this is how AMC would have ended had Prospect Park not got Agnes Nixon’s hopes up: “To those wanting to know the original ending vignette I filmed for AMC (we had filmed BEFORE the Prospect Park offer).... Amanda and Jake walk into Oak Haven with Trevor and their new adorable boy they adopted, where Janet greets them. You see them hug and visit. Family. Each family was gonna have their own sweet vignette and music playing over. Makes me sad only a few were filmed and none will be seen.”
THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL, CBS/CTV — Katie Kidnapped by Bill!
• Congratulations to the very fertile Jennifer Gareis, who sources report is pregnant again. Hopefully, Donna’s pregnancy will not be written into the storyline, especially since her current love interest is her sister’s true love, Nick.
• Earlier this week, SOAPS IN DEPTH reported that Brandon Beemer and Zack Conroy were taken off contract. But don’t fret Beemer-stein fans: Sources inform UNCENSORED Beemer figures into future story and is taping a Jowen scene that will make fans salivate.
As for Conroy, it looks like his character will fade off into the sunset. Let’s hope Y&R casts the talented actor as nuKyle Abbott.
• Watch out, Amber! Another soap starlet is taking Hollywood by storm. And this time, it’s Gina Rodriguez, who plays Dayzee’s BFF, Beverly. Rodriguez just signed a talent holding deal with ABC, according to DEADLINE.
The promising soap newcomer has been generating a lot of buzz out in Hollywood, thanks to her role in Sundance hit, Filly Brown. There’s a rumour Rodriguez is being considered for Marc Cherry's upcoming pilot, DEVIOUS MAIDS. Hey, at least Rodriguez isn’t playing a maid on B&B!
• Location overdose: In story 411, Bill locks up Katie when she threatens to tell Liam the truth about Steffy’s illness! B&B went on location to Brad Bell’s Malibu mansion again for the exciting series of events. Rapunzel, anyone?
DAYS OF OUR LIVES, NBC/GLOBAL — Dirty Bjorlin Back? The Truth Exposed!
• Reformed hookers are in again! Insiders confirm DAYS has asked Nadia Bjorlin to return to the series, which infamously and unfairly fired her last summer as the popular Chloe Lane. In fact, DAYS has a huge story in place for Chloe. At press time, the red-hot Bjorlin hasn’t agreed, despite premature reports, because “it’s complicated,” says an insider. “DAYS is asking her to take a drastic, almost embarrassing pay cut – and wants her on contract during pilot season.” Considering the publicity Bjorlin could generate for DAYS if DIRTY SOAP is renewed, plus major interest from Hollywood, it would be foolish for Bjorlin to undersell herself consider her incomparable popularity from VENICE to DIRTY SOAP to DAYS (almost 60K Twitter followers and growing, for instance, and major buzz). Meanwhile, NBC sources reveal the show may recast the role if Bjorlin doesn’t say yes since Chloe’s already in scripts. Can you imagine recasting the world’s most beautiful woman? Nope, neither can we. And Mama Fary Bjorlin will not be happy! Regardless, stay tuned…

While a source close to Bjorlin states she is “loyal to DAYS,” UNCENSORED has learned another show has approached the talented beauty. And it’s not VENICE!
• There’s a new super-couple in town: EJ And Will! How hot are they? Make it happen, DAYS! That is all.
• Deidre Hall is overjoyed with her DAYS comeback, the superstar enthuses to UNCENSORED. Her favourite story? “I am loving Will and Marlena’s relationship,” she says. “It’s a fabulous story. I love working with Chandler Massey. The story is really a crowd pleaser. Lucky me!” Lucky us.
• There is some concern that Shawn Christian days may be permanently numbered on DAYS. But that’s just set-side gossip. Hmmm…
• Rumour has it that executive producer Ken Corday had to write a checque to NBC out of his own pocket (like over 2 million bucks) to save DAYS from cancellation, a set insider tells UNCENSORED. Wow. Wouldn’t it have been cheaper to have fired Dena Higley ages ago?
• Best wishes go out to Tanya Boyd, who sources report suffered a stroke weeks after agreeing to return to the show. However, a spokesperson for DAYS is maintaining Boyd is being recast, as exclusively reported in last week’s UNCENSORED, “due to a scheduling conflict.” Hmmm… not sure why the secrecy. If a public figure like CSI: MIAMI’s David Caruso had a stroke and had to be recast, it would be all over the THE NY TIMES, especially if it affects his or her job. But soaps prefer to lie to the audience and
