There's no way to describe it. The voice Yogi pipes through those speakers sounds a little like the hissing of snakes, or maybe a little like the clicking and clacking of crocodile teeth. It sounds like the buzz of hornets, and like the roar of blazing fire. The best way I might have of describing it is just to say that the voice Yogi claims comes from the stars sounds nothing like anything I've heard, and that my imagination stretches to compare the noise to any found on my native planet.
I wonder why the smartman chose to share that sound with us as I sway from the cables, right smack in the middle of that buzzing noise. The noise doesn't make me feel all that proud about my work on the radio. The noise creeps the hell out of me.
I sure want to think that Yogi and has friends know what they're doing. Why else would I visit Yogi so many times for advice? Still, when that noise finally comes to an end, I wonder if we might all be better off if Yogi and his pals just left those stars alone.
