The second early draft involved Mrs. LaCroix being a much more diabolical puppet master behind the scenes while she picked and chose various girls that would bring each of the Tarots to heel, starting with none other than Emily Brennan. While I had a bit of fun brainstorming for this one, it ultimately crashed and burned.
The third draft that eventually became the final product, I just bit the bullet and wrote the first chapter. After getting a feel for the dynamic between Ambrose and Emily, I knew I was on the right track keeping this book solely focused on their relationship.
What I didn’t see coming was how badly I’d want to explore the rest of the Tarots. Four Tarots means four books since I apparently have a problem with this little thing called free time. We don’t get along.
Chrom and Megan will be stepping up to the plate next in Broken Throne. Right now that’s looking like a summertime release, but if I can get it done earlier, I’ll be the first one unleashing a victory cry. Keep flipping the page for a sneak peek at their blurb.
