With that his touch disappears, and I see the guards surrounding me being engulfed in his foxfire. Gale becomes visible, but before anyone else sees him, he changes right before my eyes to the exact image of one of the guards he just killed.
As my guys finish culling most of the guards around the room, more begin charging through the doors, including a group of archers. As the guys begin fighting with the new wave of enemies, Gabriel and his small group creep toward the back of the room out of the way. I watch as the archers begin loading their bows, letting a hail of arrows rain down in the room. My guys do their best to get out of the way on time, and even manage to knock some out of the air, but there’s just too many.
I see an arrow heading straight for Taehyung's heart, and something inside of me snaps sending a wave of power through the room. The chain holding me snaps, and in the next second I'm in front of him with the arrow buried deep in my chest. With my hair floating around me caught in the magick radiating from me. I hold my hand up in the air, clenching my fist, causing the rest of the arrows to freeze in midair, and I watch with sick satisfaction as the angels drop to their knees trying to scream past the blood bubbling from their mouths.
I turn on my heel, stalking my way towards my grandfather, watching the fear encompass his face. When I reach him, I follow my instincts, calling to something deep inside me, causing the sword from my dream to appear in my hands. I pull the arrow from my chest, dropping it to the floor beside me, and look at my hands in fascination when lightning courses over them, up my arms and straight into the wound left behind, causing it to close up. My attention is snapped back to Gabriel, when he makes a disgusted sound in the back of his throat.
My eyes switch to my tormentor beside him, reaching out my hand, cutting off his air supply, and watching with great satisfaction when he slumps to the floor. I’ll have my fun with him later, a quick death is too merciful for the likes of him. Feeling my guys surround me, I turn to them. “Thanks for coming to get me, that one there is coming home with us. I have plans for the sick fucker.” They nod their heads, grabbing him and tying him up, before dragging him away, and leaving me to deal with Gabriel however I see fit.
“I tried to warn you Gabriel, but your ego got in the way and you refused to listen. These are my men, and you hold no claim over them anymore! I would quite like to spend the next few days, showing you what it feels like to be at the mercy of someone more powerful than you, but I just got this pretty new toy, and I’d really like to see what it can do. You let that whore of a daughter, and all of her fucking conquests, make my life hell. Then you had to add to it yourself too, which is why I’m going to kill you. I had plans to sit down and talk about things like adults, but now I see how that was just wishful thinking. You have caused so many people pain and suffering, and the only way for those people to have any sort of justice, is by taking your head. I won’t even feel bad about it, because it’s exactly what someone like you deserves.”
I take one step back, giving me room to swing my sword, before calling on both my fires, and watching the blade light up with the twisting colors of my flames. I look down at Gabriel, hearing him beg, and take satisfaction in the fact I can cause him even a fraction of the suffering he has caused others. Raising the sword in the air, I close my eyes, taking a deep breath. I snap my eyes back open, as I swing the sword down, watching as Gabriel’s head rolls along the floor, and my flames begin eating away at his body.
As soon as he is nothing more than a lifeless head, and a pile of ashes, any energy I had left drains from me, and I begin to slump to the floor. Strong arms surround me, picking me up, and cradling me against a warm chest, and I don't need to open my tired eyes to know that it’s Lucien. Snuggling into his heat, I manage to whisper to him. “Please, take me home.” All of the pain fades away, with the comforting presence of my men.
