Conflict: The Queen
Page 14
The trumpet blew again and Xeg looked out of the window. The sky was clear with only some dust floating in the sunlight, high in the air.
Fuck! Enemies were near. Very near.
Xeg grumbled. Grabbing his clothes, he dressed as fast as he could. Jumping from the window, he shifted and flew towards the dust. He looked down and found the palace was silent. Not a single soldier prepared for the battle. Amazed, he roared in the air and a flame erupted from his mouth. His roar caught the attention of everyone including Kyg who was out in the garden with Sam.
Xeg flew higher to where the dust was, a thunderbolt coming from the sky struck him deep In his chest. A pair of hands moved in a circle, creating magical runes to form over Xeg’s body. Floating above a motionless Xeg, the mysterious stranger worked quickly, his lips spoke silent words of a witchcraft spell, and Xeg started falling unconscious to the ground.. A smile spread on those lewd lips, and he waited for Xeg to hit the ground, and smash into pieces.
Just a few feet above the ground, a door to a magical realm opened in the air and Xeg fell safely inside. The door closed upon itself.
KYG AND SAM, DEV AND other eyes kept watching everything happening there. No one had time to react over this unnatural incident. Kyg shifted immediately and flew in the air to search the area where Xeg disappeared. Looking around he found nothing, not even a scent lingered in the air. A clear sky, a clear horizon and a clear ground. He flew higher in the sky, soldiers joined Kyg in the search, they flew in all directions to look for Xeg, but the one who was lost in the air was never found.
Those hands receded back in the palace from the window where he stood. Slowly looking around, his breath relaxed as no one watched him and the shadow disappear into the palace .
AFTER SEARCHING ALL day and night, Kyg flew back to Sam. He needed Sam’s love to calm him. Where the hell was his brother? He was going to kill Cezzot and Solomon when he got his hands on them. Kyg’s mind was becoming twisted with hatred and fear, which he knew he had to temper down. Sam was his priority. He still had to persuade him to let Erga operate on him.
Where the fuck did Xeg fall to? These words kept going around his mind. Tomorrow he would visit every known witch, to see if they had any information on the witchcraft used to take Xeg.
Sam stood on the palace steps waiting for his lover to return. When he saw his black dragon coming in to land, Sam’s heart cried with joy. Holding out his arms, Sam welcomed his mate home.
XEG WOKE WITH A START. He began to scream, as his body fell through a dark void.....
Epilogue
SAM SAT ALONE IN HIS room enjoying the solitude, thinking about his baby, the recent past which made him think about the future of his on this planet. He definitely didn’t want the egg to be removed from his womb but he also wanted safety for it. His mind was in turmoil, he didn’t know well about the customs of the palace. What if he was a surrogate for the heir and everything happening around was drama? What if they took his baby and never allow him to meet it again? What if the operation failed? What if... and the options were endless fearing his heart.
Who kidnapped Xeg or was killed in the magic? Was that Cezzot or one of her minions or an enemy was born? What happened to the vampire’s blood contaminating Xeg? Was he able to fight with the future enemy ... if he survived?
What could do Kyg do now? Crammed between Sam and Xeg and both seeking his equal attention, where would he go now? What Kyg would to find Xeg and cure him?
Where was the King of the Byndra, Edrontar? Was he alive and safe?
What would be the next move by Cezzot?
So many questions still needed answers...
THE END
For now

Pierce Smith
PIERCE SMITH, AKA PS, has been writing since his childhood. He is a young, single, sexy author who lives alone in the countryside; somewhere on Planet Earth. He always gets lost in a fantasy/paranormal world of ghosts, shape-shifters, aliens and more. Most of the time his imagination, intuitions, dreams, and his love for them, drift him away. He is into paranormal mysteries and hot erotic scenes. PS is a lover of food, coffee, and hot people. He discovered that fantasizing is addictive and once you have a taste of it, you can't get rid of it. Thus, escaping from reality, he writes many short stories. Sadly, most of them go unpublished. He is planning to include them on his blog and share through his Newsletter. On the advice of his friends, PS started writing long epic novels and self-publishing. PS does his job seriously; does a hell of a lot of research before putting anything into his books, and interacts with the community around him. He enjoys his characters (in every possible way) before putting any of them onto paper. He lusts after them so his readers can experience the same intensity in the characters. He loves talking a lot and flirts openly, enjoying the company of others.
