Tears prick the corner of my eyes and he runs a hand over my cheek, brushing my hair back. “Don’t cry, snow bunny,” he whispers. “I got you.”

And he does. But still, the emotion filling me is overwhelming. I wrap my arms around him and hold on tight. “Don’t let go.”

“I won’t.” He kisses me footy, our lips parting and his tongue pressing to mine, both of us letting out a moan of pleasure as his cock finds his way right where it belongs.

I exhale as he fills me up. “That dildo was a piece of crap, apparently,” I say, panting. “You’re so much…”

  “Bigger?”

I nod, laughing. “Yes. Oh… yes. Yes. Ohh, Cole.”

We move together, the rhythm of our bodies as fast as our heartbeats, fast and steady and… oh god, it’s good.

“I’m so close,” I moan. “I’m gonna come. I’m… oh,” I whimper. “Another ‘Christmas Miracle.’”

“A what?” he laughs. “Fuck, my cock is so damn hard, I’m so close, baby.”

“It’s what I’ve been calling my orgasms,” I pant as his seed erupts inside of me. Filling me. Hot and creamy and heavenly.

“Damn,” he groans, thrusting deep inside me, making me whimper even more loudly. When he finishes, he rolls over, keeping me close, in his arms. “You are my dream come true, Aspyn.”

Before I can answer we hear the front door open. Douggie’s voice booming, loud as always. “Hey Cole, we’re back! Where you at man, wanna beer?”

We hear my parents laughing as they come inside the house, talking about getting some wine, and I wince. A night of fiery passion has turned into an ice-cold bath.

“Well, that changes things,” I say, hating that this is ending so damn fast. A few hours with Cole is all I get if my family has anything to do with it. It kills me because I want so much more.

I want to talk this through with him, but he’s already out of bed, getting dressed. Jeans on, his shirt too.

“Wait,” I say. “Can we talk at least—”

He smiles at me, but he doesn’t lean down to kiss me, assure me. “Not now. I’ve got to go talk to them before anything else.” And just like that, he’s gone.

I tense, wanting to know what he plans on saying. Terrified at the possibilities. Tears fill my eyes as I pull on a pair of sweats, my bra, and a hoodie. In the bathroom I wash my hands, pull my hair into a bun on the top of my head. And give myself a pep talk. I’ve competed in huge races, I’ve lived on my own for years, I’ve made tough choices and I understand sacrifice.

So I can do this too.

No matter how hard it is to face my parents after rolling around in the bed with Cole — the literal man of my dreams — I can do it.

And if Cole just wanted one night, so be it. It will have been the best night of my life. No regrets.

I put on a brave face, not knowing what might meet me on the other side of this door, but knowing I’m an adult, knowing I can face this. Face anything.

  Chapter Fourteen

  Cole

The moment I hear her family back at the chalet, I move quick. There’s no time to waste. I’m not interested in tiptoeing around the cold hard truth of what I want. I’m not gonna sneak around this chalet hiding the facts.

I’m going to man up and speak the damn truth. I dress as fast as I possibly can, knowing the sooner this conversation happens, the better.

My life is on the line. Our life.

“Dude, Cole, you okay?” Douglas asks as I enter the kitchen. Tom and Janet are pouring wine, their cheeks flushed from the night run. Douglas is grinning, and popping open a can of beer.

“I’m okay,” I say. “You guys weren’t out long, were you?”

“The winds were something fierce. We got in a few runs then decided to come back here. I’m dying for more of Aspyn’s cake.”

“Before all that, can we talk?” I ask, looking at the three of them.

“Is something wrong, Cole?” Janet asks. “You look worried.”

“Nothing’s wrong, but it is important.”

Douglas frowns but doesn’t ask questions as we sit down in the living room.

“Look, I have to be honest. I haven’t been for a long time but I can’t hide it anymore.”

“Dude, what is going on?” Douglas asks. I understand why he’s freaking out a bit. We’ve been friends since the third grade; he knows me better than anyone. Well, nearly. Truth is, I think Aspyn knows me best at this point.

“Whatever it is,” Tom says, “we’re here for you.”

I clear my throat. “Actually, maybe hold that thought. Because what I’m going to tell you might change things.”

“Oh Cole, what is it?” Janet asks.

  “It’s Aspyn.”

Their eyes narrow and heads tilt, confusion on their faces

“I am in love with her. I have been for years and there’s no way I can hide my feelings any longer. I love her. I want to be with her, support her, be her biggest fan.”

“You do?” Aspyn’s voice fills the room, hope laced with longing, and I stand, turning toward her.

  “I do.”

“Shit,” Douglas says, shaking his head. “You slept with my sister?”

I tense, looking at her family. “If you want me to go, I understand.”

“Go?” Aspyn gasps. “Why would you leave?”

“I know what I want, but what do you want, Aspyn? And what do your parents want for you?”

Tom runs a hand over his bald head. “I wasn’t expecting this. But what really matters is how Aspyn feels.”

Tears fill her eyes, she looks at her brother and mother.

“Don’t look at me, Aspyn,” Janet says. “This is your life. You’re an adult. It’s your decision.” Then she smiles softly. “But I must admit, Cole is one of my favorite humans on earth so if I have to lose you to someone, this isn’t the worst outcome.”

Douglas has his arms crossed, narrowed in on me. “If you hurt her, Cole, I swear to god you’ll wish you’d never met me.”

“I won’t,” I say, adamant. “You’re my family, and I don’t want to ruin that. But Aspyn, what do you want?” Facing her I wait, the seconds seeming long and drawn out, and I know our fate is in her hands.

The torture ends when a huge smile breaks across her face. “Cole, I’ve been in love with you for years. I just never knew you felt the same until now.”

“Thank god, you scared me half to death.” I pull her into my arms, looking into those baby blues. “I love you so much.”

She smiles up at me, her family stunned as I lean down and kiss the girl who gave the phrase “Christmas Miracles” a whole new meaning. The girl who’s more than a winter vibe, she’s my forever.

  Epilogue

  Aspyn

  One year later…

It’s a gorgeous night in Mistletoe, Montana.

Last year I skipped out on the night skiing, but this Christmas Eve I don’t want to miss out on the fun.

There’s a fresh layer of snow on the mountain, and I’m on a ski lift with Cole beside me. In the lift ahead of us, my parents sit holding hands, and behind us is Douggie and his fiancée Juniper. They haven’t been together long but they are a perfect match. She doesn’t let Douggie get away with anything and that’s exactly what my brother needs.

When we get to the top of the mountain I see my parents taking off and Cole is slightly ahead of me. I trail him and find him stopped near a few trees with my parents. Moments later Douggie and Juniper slide up next to us, and I laugh.

  “Everyone already needs a break?”

Douggie grins, the lights from the lifts shining down on us. “We aren’t all as pro as you, little sis.”

I made the US Alpine Team last spring, and I have never been so happy. If everything goes as planned I will be able to compete in the next Winter Olympics. I still feel giddy that all my dreams have come true. Cole moved to Bend after he graduated, and this last year has been incredible. I moved out of the house I shared and w
e got a place of our own.

He’s begun his freelance journalism career, and has had several pieces in print in major magazines. His flexible hours mean he has time for grocery shopping and cooking, and I do my share by baking the sweets. It’s worked out better than okay.

But the splitting of the household duties isn’t the best part of living with the guy of my dreams. The best part is sharing the bed with him each night. Or the shower. Or the kitchen table. Basically any surface, really, we aren’t picky. We were all kinds of wild the first week we were together, and I admit to being nervous. Would it last? Could the fire always burn so bright? Well, turns out I had nothing to fear. Cole and I are a freaking furnace and we don’t need the fireplace to keep us warm at night.

“We don’t need a break,” Cole says, getting down on one knee. “I wanted to be here, on the mountain, when I asked you to marry me.”

“Marry you?” I gasp, covering my mouth with my hand. Mom is in tears and Dad has his arm around her shoulder. Douggie pops open a bottle of champagne that came out of nowhere and Cole chuckles. “Dude, she hasn’t even said yes yet.”

He holds a sparkling solitaire diamond ring, offering it to me, giving me his heart.

“Yes, yes, I will marry you!” I say as he slides the ring on my finger. “This is so romantic,” I say, looking around at everyone I love, here with us for this magical moment. The moonlight and the stars, the warmth I feel overwhelms me.

  “Don’t cry, honey,” Mom says.

But they are happy tears, and everyone knows it. Douggie hands Cole the bottle. “Cheers to you, man.”

Cole takes a drink, then hands it to me; we pass the bottle around laughing and grinning, the diamond sparkling, the snow so white, the future ours.

When we finish the bottle, Douggie slides it back in his messenger bag and we all begin the trek down the mountain. Cole is right next to me and I catch his eye, going slow so he can hear me.

“This is the best Christmas gift of my life.”

He laughs, swatting my ass with a ski pole before passing me. “Don’t be so sure. There’s another gift waiting for you at the chalet.”

This Christmas, Cole and Douggie decided to rent us a chalet that was a bit bigger, and this way each couple has their own master suite with more privacy. After the night skiing, we all part ways, everyone taking a final look at the Christmas tree in the corner of the living area. Tomorrow we will wake up with hot cocoa and French toast, and have a cozy morning as a family, but now, all I want is time alone with my fiancé.

“Are you ready for your other gift?” Cole asks as I step out of the bathroom. I’m wrapped in a fluffy red bathrobe, and smile when I see him still wrapped in a towel. Good, no reason for him to get dressed only for me to take his clothes off once we get in bed.

“You won’t make me wait until morning?”

He shakes his head, taking out a slim box wrapped in bright green paper, tied with a gold bow. “No, it isn’t family-friendly.”

I lift my eyebrows, eager. For my birthday in August he gave me a pair of black lace vibrating panties. When we went out for dinner that night, he held the remote and controlled everything. It was so insanely sexy that I still get all worked up at the memory. I was sitting across from him, eating crème brûlée, and let’s just say dessert wasn’t the only creamy thing. Okay, maybe that’s a bit of an overshare, but it is the absolute truth. I had to press my knees together and bite back a moan while an orgasm ran through me as the waiter brought us the bill.

I open the package, grinning as I see what’s inside. “Oh god, it’s gorgeous Cole!” I gasp as I take in the sparkling blue and white gemstones creating a snowflake design. They cover the T-shaped base of a vibrating anal plug. We’ve been discussing anal play for months now… and we’ve looked online at toy options and fantasized about it, but we haven’t gone for it yet. “Where did you find this?”

Cole grins, wrapping his arms around my waist from behind. His towel is on the floor and he kisses my neck. “I custom-ordered it.”

“This is the most romantic thing ever.” I turn the one-inch-wide plug in my hand, licking my lips.

“More romantic than the engagement ring?” he asks and I turn to him.

I shake my head. “Okay, that was the most romantic, but this is a pretty close second.”

“Do you have any idea how sexy it is to hear my fiancée tell me a butt plug is almost more exciting than getting a diamond ring?”

“How sexy?” I ask, running my hand over his chest, dropping to my knees.

“So fucking sexy.” He exhales as I open my mouth, taking his cock fully between my lips. I love sucking him off, pleasuring him until he comes in my mouth. He runs his fingers through my hair, shoving the bathrobe off my shoulders. I let it fall away, loving being naked on my knees before him.

“I’m so damn hard, Aspyn,” he groans as I move my mouth faster, wanting him to spill his seed. I love it when his thick, milky cream slides down my throat.

I suck harder, my tits bouncing as I do, until he grips my shoulders, coming hard. I suck him off until he finishes, and when I look up into his eyes, I see nothing but love and devotion.

Licking my lips, I stand, his hands laced with mine as we move to the bed. He kisses me softly. “I can’t believe I get to marry you,” he whispers as he spreads my legs, his mouth on my bare pussy. “The girl of my goddamn dreams.”

A smile spreads across my face as he begins to lick me up and down, his scruffy beard sending shivers over my body. His fingers press inside me, against me, and I whimper as he draws a “Christmas Miracle” out from me. I’m panting as he teases my clit with the tip of his tongue, making me melt. The sensation is so intense, and I press a hand to my mouth, the pleasure more fulfilling as I see the glittering rock on my ring finger.

I still hold the vibrating plug, and I hand it to him. “You get the honors, husband-to-be,” I say, biting my bottom lip, knowing this winter vibe makes this Christmas extra special.
