  NEW BONDS

  As we sat tails wagging, tired our bodies sore. Coco looks at me waving his head from side to side with pity “You suck gurl”.

  “What da HELL you expect, IT’S BEEN 14 YRS!!”

  “hmmmmm LIES YOU TELL! your mate distracted you.” With fierce sass fierce coming through my wulf SPEAK Turning to look at Reuben & Carmen talking.

  “yup, can you blame me Cocoa, GURL LOOK AT MY MATE!!!!FUCK ME!!!” Eh, my brother’s right smiling with eyes glowing Coco responds “UH,HUUUUH I AIN’T MAD AT YA” and we laugh.

  I lick my brother’s muzzle now “Thank you my brother for always being there.” I now change my tone as I look at my mate.

  “GURL, SISTAS BEFORE MISTAS!!” I know where my brother is heading with this tone of concern in his voice.

  “Will you accept him?” My eyes beam, arching my head, puffing out my chest with pride “Sable! Do you love him?” I nod yes “ Den BITCH...did you have to ask? YES!!” both tails wag vigorously as we head embrace. Releasing, Cocoa and I both notice we’re feeling better. I see the wounds on COCOs shoulders closes. My gaze turns fixing on Carmen. Knowing it is because of her we are feeling better. She has woven healing spells, I see open bleeding wounds stop flowing, torn & shredded flesh heal and reforming, energy returning to us both.

  Coco’s eyes look to Carmen “THANKS, MAMA HAZZZZZEL!” Again the middle finger. Reuben says with a brimming smile “I LIKE HER!”. We walk off a little side by side. COCO beginning the conversation. “gurl, how much longer?”

  “That’s up to Alejandro. He must finish the bonding”

  “But you’re already bonded. I don’t understand”

  “He must push past His fear. He is not aware it holds him back...”

  “What can we do”

  “Nothing. It is in Crimson’s hands. Allow him to train him.”

  “As you wish. You have a fine mate Sable. The goddess chose well. I will be honored to call him my Alpha when the time comes and one more thing sista......I miss you” I feel my heart swell from COCOS comment. I whine low for a moment. Then lick COCO’s ear. “My beta what would I do without you” Coco wags his tail as he snaps back his head, ending the affectionate lick.

  “Lick me like that again & YOU WILL FIND OUT!! First, she calls me POODLE!! Now she Licks my Mutha fukin ear like I’m damn cat. Bitch CRAZY! Dis WAT HAPPENS WHEN A QUEEN GITS HER A MAN!!” and he heads his way back to the cabin. But not before making fun of me saying with a wulf chuckle as he tilts his head skyward swaying it left to right “LUUUNNNAAAA!!”

  Watching his theatrics I wulf laugh “I love you Cocoa.” He shoots back “What’s there not to love?? LOOK AT ALL THIS BEAUTY.” then with a tender tone “Me to my…..LUNA.”

  Not moving from my spot, continue laughing at my brother’s comments. Then I call out in wulf speak “Celeste, Bella” and they come. Bella excited runs. When she reaches me, Bella jumps up wanting to lick my face but can’t reach me. I lower my head allowing her to lick my muzzle. “Well?” The pair look towards Reuben then returns their eyes back. “We love him Luna,” Bella says, and Carmen agrees. “He is a fine mate in power & heart. His eyes are reflecting what the spirits have already informed me. Peace. He is home my luna. Because he found that which he sought to complete him.... YOU ”.

  Bella continues “Within the soul of both. The spirits have told both Carmen and myself. History, repeats itself. At last, he had found the one he has sought for centuries. His, my future Luna, is an old love. He loves you from his soul. His devotion to you is complete as a mates should be. But there is more Sable, he has longed for his mate” Carmen’s words holds pride as she speaks of my mate “My mother also told me this .. My Luna. He loves you, Sable. It is the TRUE BOND. There will be nothing to fear.” I whine a little again sitting up now I lick their heads “Thank you both.”

  RANDALL’S RESPECT

  I phase arriving to the porch where Reuben is standing. l grab a robe, put it on and sit on the floor, extending my legs in front of me, my back placed against the wall watching the trio now.

  Again, the silent conversation. I ask Randall, “What’s Happening?”

  I could not help it and respond to Reuben with my normal sass “He is talking with Family. What’s it look like?” chuckling.

  I Huff “I see that” Randall is irritating. But he is growing on me as I smile.

  l laugh a little enjoying this “nervous?”

  he is frustrating “No”

  Randall turns his gaze up eyes glowing now serious. Dropping his flare voice “he values our opinion” Reuben meets my gaze “what if one says NO” Randall’s voice turns flat now “To be with you. He would leave the pack, leaving mama Alpa as ALPHA.”

  “He...(stumped)...would?”. My eyes look to Sable now. The love for Alejandro is deepening its roots within me. becoming the sole reason, I desire life.

  I continue “Alejandro is your destined mate Reuben. But you should know this also, when Alejandro gives, it includes his soul. We know the mate bond can make mates stronger or kill them. It is also why we tested you.”

  From his tone of voice, I sensed pain. As if Randall wer speaking from experience. I started “Randall did you ever???”

  With a low growl in my tone I cut him off “Don’t ask.”For a moment, I’m reminded of a past I ended.

  I stopped, respecting “ok”. Then smile “Would you follow Alejandro?”

  I look at Reuben with a look that said it all. My reply affirms the look “you have to ask? He is my Alpha but more so he’s my brother. We would defend our pack. But, we would die without each other. That is OUR CODE. I am one of two celestial caretakers my brother has.” Reuben’s eyes turn to Alejandro. As he looked at his brother. I see a broad smile appear on his face, eyes of total love and devotion. Randall’s eyes glowing as he turns them back. “We are not littermates. But we are brothers. He and mother never felt or treated me anything other than family. He is my baby brother so Just know this Alpha. You are the only one who can hurt him now. I don’t give a fuck you’re an Alpha or a possess celestial guardian. Hurt him and I will beat the BITCH out of you.”

  Then he looks back to his pack mates. After watching COCO in battle. I know this is a threat not to take lightly. I looked for a moment more, to the wulf whose eyes returned to the Trio. How wrong my judgment of this wulf was., I thought Randall was a waste & a rude wulf. Now I see him in a different light, one commanding an elevated level of respect. I smile making a mental decision.

  While still looking to the TRIO, I can feel he is staring at me “stop staring. It’s rude. '' Reuben sits down now, next to me. “You know you’re a bitch” he says.

  I smirk “yup”.

  I grin “and you will take getting used to”

  Smiling “Who MEEEEE child BOO??” bumping shoulders with Reuben.

  Chuckling now Reuben says “and we will clash”

  Reubens drapes his arm across Randall’s shoulder. Randall does the same. They both nod together “yup”

  l close the conversation my way “by da wayyyy I also agree with Bells, You’re a dick” we Both laugh “YUP!” causing the trio to look their way. The two Wulves with Sable, walk back joining the pair on the porch.

  I HAVE ALWAYS LOVED YOU

  Watching my small family with pride. In my mind, I see Alejandro on the astral plane asleep. I speak to the sleeping form of my human soul companion “THIS. is our pack Alejandro Our Family”. My heart lifts my spirit soars and chest swells, Tail wagging I close my eyes “they accepted him, My Crimson.” My conviction further fortified with a fact. I will die protecting them. My eyes meet Reuben’s both pairs happy with a light of pure love and passion, both beings alive. Reuben remains looking at me the whole time as the pair approached the porch. Now, he approaches, and I remain seated. Yet it is the energy he releases which provide a doorway into his heart. And my hea
rt jumps.

  Sable… Walking down the two steps heading towards you, the sound of the trio conversing fades as they watch me approach. The sun’s warmth pales beneath the warmth I am feeling in your gaze. My focus only you. Your tail rises and falls before you and my eyes follow. Once in front of him, I sit on the ground my sight turning downwards like a child reflecting an emotion I have never in my life felt. Fiddling hands sweat, rubbing one over the other. When I speak my voice reveals profound soft gentleness and affection, I never thought me capable of “Your B ...Beautiful” my eyes remain downwards looking into my fidgety hands.

  I gaze at my human mate. Feeling wholeness, of peace knowing I’m home “Thank you, my mate.” At hearing my wulf speak, Reuben looks up. “You fight magnificent Sable”. Meeting my gaze, deep emerald glowing eyes grow darker by the second. Crimson is trying hard to push his way out. Deep do I gaze into his emerald eyes as they turn Forest green, searching. Finding him, the one I sought, my wulf mate. In astral form there is darkness all around him. Unlike my bond with Alejandro. They have not truly bonded as of yet. Still, I see the Forest green color emitting from his gaze. Light up, pushing back the shadows enough for me to see him. The softening glow of his gaze melts me. Soon.

  I speak to him. “My strong, handsome Crimson you found me. We will have plenty of time to run and hunt and be within the muzzles of one another. But I must ask for your patience a little longer. I must speak to Reuben for now. I love you and will never leave your side, at long last, the Goddess, Has united us. Sleep my mate for I will be here when you awaken forever more.” with those words, I see Reuben’s will and Crimson’s end, the battle is over. His eye coloration returned to emerald green. Crimson is peaceful.

  My verbal spoken tone full of emotion. I ask Sable a question I have longed to know “For years I have searched and longed for you. Can I ask you why it took so long?”

  My wulf Speak,, gentle, as I say “Alejandro loves you as I crimson. He has yet to understand why these emotions live so strongly within. Even though you and he have just met. It is his amnesia & fear from being trapped within his own mind. Which blocks his full awareness. This has kept us apart but that will end soon…..” I see Sable’s chest expand, his words said with pride. “For now we have our mate.” Reuben leans towards me & wraps his big arms around my neck, burying his face in my neck fur. “I held you for years in my heart now I can hold you for many more ... in my arms” I close my eyes my head resting across my human mates’ shoulders lowering onto his back. Peace comes over me feeling whole. As Alejandro felt in human form, I too now feel in mine.

  Reubens whispered verbal voice cracks, his emotions pouring out “you are my mate. There is no limit to what I will not do. For you Sable.” I pull back and lick his face. When I am done, I say, “I have asked Coco to allow you to train Alejandro. With your appearance now, it is only you who can help re-establish our bond. Crimson, when I thought they threatened you, I forced the phase. Putting Alejandro to sleep. When I phase back, Alejandro will not know I came. Catch him…my.. human mate. Catch my heart.” Within my gaze Sable sees, rests my response. “I will forever remain yours to command.”

  At long last, our solo journey has ended. My gaze reflects my growing love and happiness, “One more thing Reuben” Pausing. My vision turns to my pack, Carmen, Randall, Bella. They have always been there for us, Alejandro and I. THEY...ARE. MY FAMILY. Then, as if unspoken, another pull calls one I have yearned for my whole life. I return it back to my mate. “There is this which you must know. Prior to his trauma, Alejandro would talk about our mate. We always knew we would find you. One day he told me he would always love you. Even if it meant leaving our birth pack. From the onset of his trauma until this moment.”

  “Alejandro would think of you as he sat on the balcony of our home. He would wonder what you looked like, what did you enjoy eating, what your laugh would sound like, and if you snored. At other times he wondered if you could accept him being only halved, and it scared him the thought of you rejecting him. Even though I could not communicate with him, I could feel the depth of his pain and anger, as tears filled with fury. Would come down his face during his conversation with Celeste of finding his mate. Of his fear, which claimed him then. He came here to find not only his memories, but he held a hope he would find you. He never gave up hope Reuben. My wonderful Reuben......my soul companion Alejandro Maisonet always loved you. The mate whose Affliction stole his memories . But never stole his hope.“

  “Why Sable?”

  “Because in his mind. You will be the only one: who he will trust to share everything with him. The one who will be his rock.”

  Fumbling with my fingers, I look down into my hands. I am ashamed. I had almost given up, closing my heart from the people who cared about me because of it. Yet my mate had done the opposite, willing to sacrifice it all for the mate he prayed to find. Never losing hope or wavered. My mate, with amnesia, unable to remember who he truly is. Came all the way to these mountains hoping to not only find his memories; but me. I feel my shame come engulfing me in its depth. My eyes water for the third time again. This sting this time is what I deserve and I no longer restrain them.

  I, the powerful reputed fire wulf ALPHA of the MOUNTAIN CRIMSON PACK sat on the ground, tears I have never felt, coming down in streams like never in my life, my verbal tone is a croak “Sable, Alejandro he had fear yet did not falter. Alejandro, my wonderful Alejandro wondered if I would accept him??? Why? I WOULD ACCEPT HIM!! HE IS MY MATE!!! I HAVE SEARCHED THE WORLD OVER FOR HIM!!”

  My chest aching. My nerves cause my hands to tremble because now I understood. I understood how special my mate is, no…. how he will always be. Crimson speaks with a tone of a true friend “you are learning and now, mother has blessed you with the opportunity to experience.” Lifting my head, Sable rose and stood. He licks my face, cleaning away my tears. I hug Sable one more time, only hard for all he is worth which is my breath. Our foreheads touched, I kissed his muzzle, Crimson looks deeply into my eyes. Glowing Forest Green return his gaze. I hear Crimson say, “I love you SABLE” Then I stood up.

  At long last, I understand the meaning behind those words. I gaze once more at Reuben my human mate.Within the sights of my human mate, I can see him, my wulf mate and I respond, “As I, you Crimson.”

  Then my head turns toward my family, proud. Breathing in deep, my chest expands prideful. Holding my head high, my tail curled high above me, my family is complete. I blink once to my family, wulf speaking “My family” all four respond in unison “Forever”. I point my head to the sky and howl. My song for all the world to know. I, Sable lightning guardian celestial....... have a family. All four members join me. With that, I phase, and a sleeping Alejandro now emerges from the mist to fall into Reubens awaiting arms.

  FAMILY

  I catch and carry my Alejandro back up the porches two steps and inside. The door held open by Randall, who could not help adding as we enter “Awe how romantic carrying him over the threshold” batting his eyelashes folding his hands in front of his chest in prayer fashion. Then, WHACK! Carmen smacks him in the head from behind as she enters chuckling at me saying, “DAMN that felt good!” Randall rubs his head yelling “BITCH! WTF”. I half smiled half growled, saying: “He’s my Baby. ”

  I smile at Reuben, my future brother-in-law & Alpha speaking with a tender tone “I know big guy. We ALL KNOW!” Reuben smiles. I watch him this time lowering his gaze to my sleeping brother in his arms. I race past him to open the bedroom door, then pull back the sheet on the bed before returning to the door. Reuben comes upstairs and into the bedroom, placing a naked Alejandro on the bed before laying down next to him in his bathrobe. He wrapped his arm around Alejandro in peace and in bliss repeating his earlier words “MY MATE”. I can tell he is feeling the profound emotion those words hold.

  From the doorway for a moment, I watch my brother still asleep, shift, turning over. Now facing and laying his head on Reuben’s chest. I watch for a moment as Reuben
cradles him in, keeping him safe. Safe within his cradled arms. For the first time, I see the look on Alejandro’s face, the one we have all missed since it happened. My brother is at peace. My emotions swell for him. I feel a slight touch of sadness in my heart however, not knowing what awaits me. But it will not matter I and my sista Alejandro will always be brothers. As I pull to close the door, my eyes meet Reubens. Smiling, I bow my head and tell him, “Welcome home my Alpha”. Reuben returns the smile saying, “Thank you...(I have his full attention........my Beta”.

  Closing the door. Standing there afterward for a moment, my head down my eyes closed, I continue holding the knob but sigh with relief. I smile my sadness gone. Lifting my head, I am sure. Turning away, stepping downstairs with renewed confidence. I will never know this sadness again because I will not have to. I will grow old at the side of my brother Alejandro, the only family I have ever known. Thank you, Goddess. Heading into the kitchen to help Carmen with dinner, I throw my question “soooo?” her response to her “So WHAT?” responding to Randall while cutting up corn and put it in the pot with the peppers, meat, potatoes, celery, and Spanish sofrito which I don’t cook without…...beef stew is for dinner. I lean, bumping shoulder to shoulder into Carmen. “Don’t you wat me? You know what I mean Witch Hazel.” I was facing the counter my back to him cutting up more vegetables. Now I stop giving attention to cutting. embedding the knife point down into the cutting board leaving it standing hilt up.
