  Q. What inspired this story?

  A. It is heavily influenced by a lot of the short science fiction stories of the nineteen fifties, particularly those written by Isaac Asimov.

  Q. What is your favorite sci-fi book?

  A. Too many to count! Currently I'm enjoying The Hyperion Cantos by Dan Simmons. I also love the foundation series.

  Q. What's on the horizon?

  A. Well, Sci-fi wise…I am working on a story titled, 'Dying Embers' and I'm currently looking for a home for another short titled, 'Arc Racer'.
