The Portals of Tartae- the Land With the Two Moons

Page 22

by Marcia Soligo

  “SHOW YOURSELF!”

Olivia gathered all the strength she had, remembering all she had learned in Tartae. If there was anything she was proud of, it was that she was better now. A better fighter, a better witch. However, she had no idea if her magical skills would work properly in Leve. How strong she would be here.

Finally, after minutes that seemed to pass too slowly, a pale figure came out of one of the stalls. A short, muscular man, with gray hair and big, dark circles under his eyes. With him, a number of phookas bounced out. They jumped from side to side and made the water from the toilets splash all around, flooding the bathroom and making a complete mess.

Instantly, Olivia was taken by only one thought: Edmund Lars was not defeated. The Portals of Tartae were open again.
