Enthrall

I ran into the alley beside the church to escape them, and huddled there, trying to make sense of what had just happened. Then I was no longer alone. The two females I woke up with were there with me. Running their hands over me, clucking at me. ‘Mon Cherie, why did you leave without us? You are not ready to be on your own yet. You are so new. Not even finished with your transformation. Come, pet. Let us tend your needs.’”

Felicity sat up, so she could better see Enthrall. She covered her mouth with one hand, and there were tears in her eyes as she realized what he was telling her. Still, though, she clutched his hand tightly.

“They stood beside me, one on either side, and held me in their arms. Then the ground dropped from beneath my feet, and I found myself in their rooms once more.”

  “They were Vampires,” Felicity whispered.

Enthrall nodded. “And now I was, too.”

Felicity leaned closer again and ran her fingers through his hair, gently tugging his head to her so she could kiss his forehead.

Enthrall looked at her sadly. “The priest had seen my eyes glowing red in the darkness. They thought I was a demon come to carry them away.”

“Oh, Enthrall,” she said, crawling into his lap and holding him as best she could.

“I don’t remember how I became… me. Only that I woke up this way. I didn’t know what to do, I didn’t understand what was happening to me. Only that the only others I knew that had the answers were the two females. So I stayed with them. I learned all I could. They wanted a plaything, and I wanted to know how to undo what was done to me.”

After a moment of silence Enthrall whispered. “It can’t be undone.”

“It doesn't need to be. I love you as you are.”

Enthrall looked down at Felicity, curled into his lap, touching him, kissing his face. “I need you.”

“I need you, too. Not who you thought you were, not who you planned to be. You.”

  Enthrall smiled and nodded.

They sat that way, just being together until Felicity asked the question she’d been thinking since he’d told her his story. “Are they still alive?”

  “The women? No.”

She pulled back just enough to see him and watched him, waiting for him to continue.

Finally he did. “I learned all they had to teach, playing my part dutifully until they had no more to offer. Then I needed to know more. But they didn’t want to let me go. I never forgave them for making me what I was, for taking my humanity from me without asking, with no regard for my life or wants or needs. All they considered was what they wanted, what suited their needs.” He stopped talking and a sinister smile graced his face. “I’d grown stronger than even they suspected. And I took my revenge. I killed them, screaming my resentment until their ears could hear no more. Then left the only shelter I’d known since I’d become what I am. I wandered for a long time. Moving from place to place, and eventually I came to terms with what I was. I decided that if I must be what I was, I would be it to the best of my ability. I changed my name to Enthrall, and eventually tired of hiding from the humans that feared me, I found Whispers. Gradually others like me, all in search of a place to just be, found Whispers, or I found them. And I became their leader, their protector.”

  “What is Whispers?”

“It’s the community where I live. Others like me, who’ve been ostracized, or struggled to find their place, live there. It’s our home.”

“Can I see it sometime?” Felicity asked, hopeful.

Enthrall nodded. “I’d love to show it to you. I hope you’ll like it there.”

“What about your family. Did you ever contact them?” Felicity asked.

“Yes. They were happy to hear from me at first, so I went home, thinking I could hide what I was. I wasn’t as good at hiding as I thought. Eventually when they found what I’d become, they feared me. They cast me out, barred their windows and doors against me, and their hearts. Warned the whole town against me. It was then that I realized that I was much more than I thought I was. I wasn’t just different. I was a monster. And everyone, even those who were supposed to love me, feared me. I’d be alone forever. I left, and I never went back. That was the day that I changed my name — Ezekiel died that day.”

Felicity pulled his head so that she could kiss him again. Then she crawled from his lap and stood beside the bed, her fingers holding tightly to the silk belt holding the dressing gown closed around her waist.

Enthrall watched, the pulse in his throat keeping pace with his beating heart.

“You are not alone any longer. And you are most certainly not a monster.”

  “Lici…” he said huskily.

“If you want me, I’m yours. Make me yours, Enthrall.”

  Chapter 13

Enthrall watched as Felicity tugged on the end of the silken belt and the dressing gown pulled open. She shrugged it from her shoulders and let it fall to pool around her feet.

  “Will you have me, Enthrall?”

“Yes!” he managed to get out on a barely human snarl. His eyes had gone red again, and his fangs had started to protrude, he fought to control them. He reached for her pulling her into his arms and tightening his fingers in her hair to pull her head back to allow him better access to her throat.

He stepped from the bed and lifted her in his arms, kissing her throat, her ears, her lips.

Felicity lifted her legs, encircling his waist, clasping her ankles behind him and wrapped her arms around his neck, kissing him everywhere she could reach. This powerful, beautiful, dominant, yet humble male was hers. As strong and dominant as he was, he was vulnerable, too. Unsure of his worth. He needed her to show him just how much she loved and desired him, accepted him for who he was. And that was exactly what she planned to do.

Enthrall cupped Felicity’s bottom with his right hand, holding her in place, while he kept her head pulled back with his left hand wrapped in her hair. She whimpered at the loss of the ability to kiss him, but he demanded she submit to his own attentions. He walked them toward the wall opposite his bed and didn’t stop until her back was pressed against it.

  “Mine,” he whispered.

  “Yes,” she answered.

Enthrall let go of her hair so that she could raise her head and look into his eyes. “If you don’t want this, you’d best tell me now. I’m barely holding onto control. Once I let go, there will be no going back.”

He watched as a wicked look flickered across Felicity’s face. “I want this. Badly. Now, either make me yours, or lie down so that I can make you mine.”

Enthrall grinned, and gently pushed her long legs from his waist. She began to lean toward him, and he pushed her back against the wall. “Don’t move. Stand right there.” He pressed her shoulders into the wall and dropped to his knees before her. He loved that he could kneel before her and because of her height be exactly where he needed to be, to taste all the right places. He lifted her left leg and placed it over his shoulder, while staring at her with a delicious gleam in his eyes.

“Don’t move, Lici. This is exactly where I want you.”

Felicity pressed her hands back against the wall to balance herself and took a deep breath. She wasn’t going to move an inch. She knew with him kneeling in front of her, it could only mean one thing.

She looked down at him, her bottom lip caught between her teeth, her heart pounding in anticipation.

Enthrall licked his lips and looked from her face to the cleft between her legs. A slight dusting of golden blond curls hiding his long awaited feast from his eyes. He used his thumb to gently nudge her open, then, he leaned forward and flicked the swollen bud peaking from her folds with the tip of his tongue.

Felicity’s breath caught, and her right hand flew to the side of his head, twining her fingers into his hair to better hold him to her.

Enthrall smiled to himself at his female’s response to his touch. He nipped her, then soothed the slight sting with his tongue before using both hands to hold her ope
n and to run his tongue the length of her slit.

Felicity moaned and pressed her hips forward to give him better access.

He opened his mouth and covered her mound completely, flicking her with his tongue as he suckled her sex.

She began to drop the leg he’d draped around his shoulders, and he stopped at once, tapping her leg.

She looked down at him with fire in her eyes when he stopped.

“You move your leg from my shoulder, and I stop,” he warned, licking his shining lips clean of her juices.

Felicity slapped her leg back into place on his shoulder and glared at him.

“Good girl,” he said before resuming his snack. Using his hand to press against her abdomen and hold her still, he covered her with his mouth again, suckling before using his tongue to search out all her most sensitive places.

Enthrall stopped pressing her into the wall and allowed her to work her hips, rubbing herself against his mouth. He slipped a finger inside her and curled it just a bit, massaging inside her, looking for that special place. As soon as he hit it, she slammed her hand against the wall and cried out.

He inserted another finger and curled them both at the exact spot that had made her cry out and went to work suckling and nibbling on her clit.

Felicity was panting, moaning and begging please, please, please over and over again.

Enthrall refused to stop or relent at all until she shattered and was practically boneless under his touch. He increased his attentions, slowly sliding his fingers in and out of her, tonguing her clit until she was strung so tight she was ready to burst. Finally, he clamped down on her clit and she screamed, holding his head to her as her sheath tried to milk his fingers, pulling them deeper into her. Her thighs were trembling, her juices running down both her thighs and his chin.

Gradually, she came back to herself and gazed down at him where he still knelt in front of her.

“Do you want more?” he asked huskily.

“I want everything!” she answered in a daze.

In one fluid movement, he’d risen to his full height and lifted her in his arms. He spun on his heel and before she’d even realized they were moving, had tossed her to the bed. She hadn’t even stopped bouncing before he was on her again, climbing between her legs to lift himself up and over her, looming menacingly above her.

Only she wasn’t intimidated in the least. Leisurely she stretched beneath him, raising her arms above her head. “Is that all you’ve got? I thought surely I’d be getting a bit more than that.”

His chuckle grew dark, and he clamped one of his hands down on her wrists where they crossed above her head. “There’s so much more, my love.” The smile left his face and his eyes grew predatory. He slammed his thighs into the backs of hers, forcing her knees up toward her chest. Enthrall slipped his raging cock through her folds, once, twice, ensuring he was well-coated before lining himself up with her opening. He pressed forward just enough to breach her, then, he leaned down and whispered, “Have to make sure you’re ready for me. Don’t want to hurt you — too much.”

Her eyes flared as she flashed them up to meet his, but she didn’t get the chance to focus on him before he slammed home, impaling her all in one motion, immediately taking up a punishing, pounding rhythm, sending her into her second orgasm of the night. He latched onto her neck, suckling there, letting go only to release his shouts of ecstasy when his own orgasm overtook him, and he filled her with his seed. His hips only slightly slowed, continuously moving as he grew hard and heavy inside her again.

“More?” she’d asked, followed by a slight cough. He could hear a slight wheeze in her lungs from her labored breath and made a conscious effort to slow his hips until she was no longer exhibiting any signs of labored breathing.

Backing off his intensity to give her a chance to recover, he kissed her face, licked across her lips, taking her down a notch but keeping her fully aroused. “Of course, there’s more. You said you wanted everything,” he teased. He lowered his head and suckled a nipple into his mouth, making her arch her back in pleasure, while trying to lift her breasts closer to him. With his head closer to her breast he could hear her breath more clearly and suckled her, teasing her until she was ready. Then he smiled around her breast and bit down. Her responding cry only added to his fervor. His hips picked up speed again, pistoning relentlessly inside her as he drew her life’s blood into his body while he suckled at the small punctures he’d made in the soft flesh of her breast. The need to feed her his own blood, to claim her properly, ultimately make her like him rode him hard. Harder than he rode her even. But he couldn’t do it. The small amount of humanity in him remembered the resentment of having that choice taken from him. Reluctantly he released her breast, licking closed the small bite wounds he’d made there. He sat back on his heels and watched as he pushed himself in and out of her. Using his fingertip to trace the outline of her clit where it stood swollen and proud out from her swollen sex. He massaged it lightly as he continued pushing into her. “You’re mine, Felicity. Don’t ever doubt it.”

Her body trembling and shaking from the pleasure he was expertly wringing from her, she could do little more than nod her agreement.

  “Say it, Lici.”

Bosom heaving, her lips apart and panting, she finally managed, “I’m yours, Enthrall. Forever. As long as I live.”

“And I am yours, my Lici,” he answered, before pushing her legs forward again, hooking each over his shoulders and leaning over her to take once again what was his to take. Only after he’d forced a third orgasm from her, did he finally allow himself to tip over the edge once more. He filled her again, the warmth of his seed already beginning to seep out between them. Finally, when he had nothing left to give, he let up enough to allow her to catch her breath because he could hear the slight wheeze. Hopefully, allowing her to rest would prevent the ever-lingering cough from manifesting again. But she wasn’t quite ready to rest. She wanted to touch him, memorize him. Her hands found his body, and she ran them all over his flesh. Feeling him, learning him. There was no hesitation as she kissed and tasted his flesh anywhere she could reach while she murmured words of love and promises of forever.

Enthrall, satisfied that he’d loved his woman well, allowed her a few minutes to explore, then flipped onto his back and pulled her over to rest with her head on his chest, her leg draped over his.

“Still so many questions,” she mumbled.

  “I’ll answer them all.”

She snuggled even closer to him and smiled as she drifted off to sleep, groggy from the lovemaking they’d shared. He’d heard her words of love. He’d been thrilled when she promised forever. What he didn’t know was if her idea of forever was the same as his. There were no more secrets between them. She knew what he was. Now, he had only to give her time to be sure. Time to pull back if she thought better of it in the light of day. Then he’d ask her to truly join him. To make the choice to be like him. If she refused, he didn’t know what he’d do. She owned him heart and soul, but he’d be damned if he’d allow her to just waste away. Part of him wanted to just grab her and bite her, like Mamaie had said. But the rest of him insisted he do this the right way. And that was the part he was listening to — for now at least.

He turned his head and watched her sweet face as she slept on his shoulder, her limbs entwined with his. He’d never in his entire existence been so happy. He wanted to show her everything about his life. He grinned — yes, that was it. He’d take her to Whispers, let her see all the wonderful things they could share together, let her see what their lives would be like. Then he’d ask her to become like him. He’d ask her to accept his blood and live forever by his side.

  <<<<<<<>>>>>>>

Felicity woke alone. She reached out a hand to feel for Enthrall, but he wasn’t there. She cracked open an eye and looked beside her, then around the room. No, he wasn’t there. She rolled over on her back, and the crackle of paper had her scowling. Sitting up she looked beneath hersel
f and found a handwritten note. She read the first words and her heart hurt.

  “I’ve gone home...”

She didn’t even finish the sentence. Felicity crumpled the note in her hand, staring across the room in disbelief. She’d given herself to him, they’d made love, professed their forevers, and he left her? She snarled a cute, little human snarl, then, she snatched the paper up and began to read again.

“I’ve gone home for a short while.”

“Oh, well that doesn't sound quite as bad,” she mumbled to herself quietly, before continuing with the letter.

“I want to be sure that all is in place for your visit.

When you wake and find this note, rise and dress quickly.

I’ll be back for you soon.

I cannot wait to show you my home.

PS: Now! Get dressed now, my love!

  Ever yours,

  Enthrall”

Felicity grinned as she threw back the covers and jumped from his bed. She ran to the door separating their rooms in a hurry to get dressed. When she got to the door, she looked back at the bed and ran back to it, snatching his pillow from the bed so she’d have it to sleep with later. She actually giggled as she ran from Enthrall’s room into her own, tossing the pillow to her own bed before looking through all her clothes in search of something suitable to wear. She knew nothing about where he was from, so had no idea of proper clothing. In the end, she settled on a white skirt, rimmed in blue embroidered flowers and a matching top, another of Mamaie’s gifts and efforts at making her less prim and professional. She tied it together with a gold and blue sash and slipped her feet into a pair of flat sandals Oksana had talked her into buying.
