Her reflection stood, looking down at her as she sat, dumbfounded, her heart pounding in terror. Suddenly, after so many days of being addicted to the mirror, she wanted nothing more than to get away, but fear and horror now rooted her to the spot.
She stared up at herself, her mouth agape in shock. Her reflection smirked at her with a wink and turned towards the still open door out of the attic. As the edges of her vision began to fade to black, she heard a chorus of whispers say Welcome…
The attic door closed as the mirror faded out of existence once more.
