Overworked

by Dark Angel

And I'm not going to lose out now. I'm a hard worker. I deserve to be here.

Besides, when I put my charm to work, I can have any man eating out of the palm of my hand; this time will be no different.

My heels click on the floor of the marble lobby. I find the elevator and check my phone that's buzzing with a text from Lily:

Good luck today. You'll do great. Sebastian tells me they're very excited to meet you. xoxo

Oh, great. I have Sebastian and these guys judging me before I even get there.

I wonder what they're saying? The prospect of working for three power players is daunting. It's gonna be a lot of work, I know. Men like them are known for being demanding, and I will probably be put to work as their personal slave—filing documents, writing articles, and doing research.

But I swear, if any of them make me fetch them coffee, I'm out. I didn’t come this far just to be degraded to take the role of "that girl who gets Starbucks." I mean business, and they better see that.

The elevator takes me all the way to the top: the penthouse. Of course. These guys are the type to want only the best.

I breathe in deeply and try to calm my nerves. This is just the beginning. My career starts today, and I have to appear confident.

I walk out into the grand lobby where the three of them work. I've heard it's just them up here, that no other members of the staff work at the penthouse level. That all the real work begins downstairs while the three of them bask in the glory of the empire they've made.

I assume it'll be a quick interview and then to a cubicle somewhere downstairs. I imagine all the long nights that will be spent defending a cause that these three guys, Cameron, Adam, and Chase, will take credit for.

But as long as I get hired, I'm good.

I walk over to the secretary, and she looks at me knowingly.

"Nicole Ryder?" she looks at me over her trendy glasses. "They've been expecting you. Come right in."

I'm shocked. I don't have to wait? They've been expecting me? I’m a nobody! What did Sebastian tell them?

I don’t let my shock show. I simply follow her down the hall, which has an open floor plan with an airy vibe and extremely modern architecture going on. It's all stone and steel, very upscale.

I'm suddenly very anxious again, and I fidget with my pantyhose and garter belt, hoping the secretary doesn't notice. Had I known it'd be like this, I might have put more foresight into my look. I catch my reflection in the mirror and sweep up a couple loose hairs into my bun.

This is it, Nicole. Get ready for your life to change.

And suddenly, I feel two things in the pit of my stomach:

  I'm meant to be here.

And something big is about to change.

  Nicole

Walking behind the secretary, I have a few moments left to quell my nerves before arriving for my interview with the big boys. Everything about the penthouse is intimidating, and it's probably meant to be so.

The steel columns are foreboding enough, not to mention the high-end flooring materials. There are skyline views from virtually every angle and glass partitions that reflect enough sunlight to light up the space naturally.

I take in all the extravagant amenities, terraces, and fireplaces. There's more tech in here than I've ever seen elsewhere. It's not like a home that's been converted into an office—no, no, no. It's all office, all professional.

I can only imagine what future electorates think when they come in here begging for help.

"I'm Tiffany, by the way," the secretary says suddenly. She seems nice enough.

Fake tits, tiny little waist, and Louis Vuitton everything… but nice enough. I imagine she's here for more than just secretarial work but I bite my tongue.

She leads me to an office on the left, which looks to be the size of three master suites. I see through the glass that it's very modern, complete with white furnishings and textiles. The art is tasteful, if a little ostentatious.

Finally, we arrive at what seems to be the office door. Tiffany knocks.

"Hi, I'm Chase," says the man who opens up, without even asking Tiffany for confirmation about why we’re there.

Curious, I look up, and when I see him, my heart starts pounding harder than it has this whole morning.

"Hello, um," I fumble. "I'm Nicole, Nicole Ryder."

"I know," he replies confidently. A dark look crosses his eyes as he drinks me in. "Thank you, Tiffany, we'll take it from here."

I drink him in, as well. Everything about this man is sultry: sandy-colored hair and penetrating green eyes that remind me of the jungle. He's at least 6'5, and his frame is just massive. He obviously works out every day of the week.

I walk in hesitantly and peek around the corner to see the other two standing to the side. They're all lined up like fucking gladiators.

"I'm Cameron," another gorgeous man, equally as tall and built, with peppered black hair takes my hand and leads me inside.

He seems more reserved than the other two, but I can see whenever I look away that he’s sizing me up, his eyes moving up and down. I instantly take note of this. Despite my nerves, I have to make an impression, and that means sizing up my contenders.

I have to prove to them that I'm worthy.

"Hi there, I'm Adam." This one seems like the friendliest of the three. His dark brown hair flops over his dark brown eyes, and I'm toast. Adam's chiseled face and hulking body have me quivering down there.

The three of them look like they’re the most handsome men on the planet. And here I am nestled between them for a meeting.

It's too fucking much. Lily could've warned me about how hot they were. I guess Sebastian may not have thought to mention it to her.

  Fuck.

I pull down my crop top to the short, black skirt I'm wearing, not wanting to expose too much of my stomach. I close my suit jacket closer to my body and try to look professional.

Damn, I didn't even shave my legs today. What was I thinking?

To be honest, I was thinking I'd be in a room with some drab old men who looked the part of having weight in the political world for their genius—not three Amazonian models with enough testosterone pumping in them to make me go weak in the knees for days.

I didn't really think anybody would notice me or my outfit. I figured if I pulled a suit jacket on and a skirt, I'd be all set. Now I feel like a mess after an afternoon of bartending for the lunch crowd. I probably smell like the bar, too.

"Please sit down," Chase says, leading me to one of the elongated white leather sectionals. "This will be a somewhat informal interview."

I take a seat and wonder at how this will go and what I've gotten myself into.

"Yes," Cameron says sitting across from me. "We're a little bit casual around here."

"The office space says otherwise," I say, almost without thinking. I curse myself inwardly, but he just laughs, which makes me feel at ease.

"You don't like our office?" he asks lightly, and I allow myself to look into his genuine blue eyes.

I'm captured there for a moment, swimming in this man named Cameron. He seems to have a little seniority over the others. I like how he goes out of his way to make me feel comfortable, and something about him forces me to want to be honest with him.

"It not that I don't like it. It's just a little... foreboding. Probably as you intended for your political clients."

He smiles. Adam comes in with a tray of espresso and sits down next to me. "Coffee?"

  "Yes, please."

"So, Ms. Ryder,” Chase begins, cutting to the, well, chase. “You studied at Harvard?" He peruses what I can only assume is my folder, complete with evidence of all I've done wrong and right.

  "I did, sir," I say.

"I like it when you call me ‘sir’," Chase says tersely.

I clench my thighs together and wonder at his meaning. The way he said it seemed a little… out of place? I decide to keep talking.

"Well, um, I majored in Political
Science, and I, uh, made the honor roll every semester. I’m passionate about politics, and I know I could be a good asset to this firm."

Cameron hasn't taken his eyes off me since I started talking, and I want to stare back, but I don't.

To my right is Adam, who's giving me a small espresso cup, which I sorely need. I have to keep my wits about me. I wasn't expecting to get thrown into a den of hungry wolves.

I’m beginning to question what they’re all hungry for.

Their eyes feast on my streamlined body. They keep staring unabashedly at my full breasts that are peeking out over my top. I fear my bra is noticeable, too.

"So," I continue. "I know about your firm. I've researched you guys, and I really admire all you've done in the political hemisphere."

And then I say my truth.

I can't help it. When am I going to be in an office again with all three of them?

I have to say what I know. Integrity, remember?

"I know your firm, but I do have some questions about your motives for representation. According to my research, you only take on clients who can pay handsomely, and I wonder about the underprivileged candidates that have all the right intentions? Do you represent them as well?"

Cameron sucks in his breath amusedly, and Chase seems excited. He's suddenly more involved in the conversation.

But it's Adam who says, "Why, Nicole, how forward of you."

  Sorry, not sorry.

"We actually deal with a variety of clientele—from those in the grassroots movement to those at the top of the pyramid. Our company has standards, Ms. Ryder, and I think you'll find our ethics committee has it all laid out."

Adam's tone is commanding, and I like it.

"I just wanted to be sure that I'm working in the right place. My own standards are high, Mr. Shea, and I think you'll find that to be an asset, as well.

“I know you have vetted me but I am equally vetting you. I want to work for people who care about a greater cause...our country."

They all laugh, as if I'm appealing when I'm trying to be cutthroat.

  "You’re vetting us?" Adam jibes.

"I think you'll find, gentlemen, that I could work anywhere I want. I could go have an interview with your competitor, and then I'll be your enemy. You'll want me on your side, because Ryder is a name this town will not soon forget."

They seem to take my criticism in stride, and soon Adam says, "You seem to have an agenda as much as we do, Ms. Ryder."

  "Indeed, I do."

"Then I think this may be the perfect relationship... for all of us. You see we need someone like you; a spitfire," Chase says.

Does that mean I got the job?

It’s silent as I wait for more from them. You could cut the tension with a knife.

I'm dying to get this job—and to get underneath each of these men. My vibrator and I are going to have a happy time tonight. I imagine that's as close as I'll come to being with any of them: in my dreams.

"You'll hear from us." Chase says.

And that's it. In an instant, it's over. I'm gone as quickly as I went in.

I don't know if they loved me or hated me.

But for the time being, I just have to get out of this building and get some air. I practically run to the elevator. Tiffany says something but I'm already on my way down.

I feel like there's a tightness in my chest, my stomach. I was not prepared for that. I had no idea they'd be so...dominant? Hot? Fuckable?

I'm in trouble. Whether I get this job or not, I'm going to be thinking about them all the time. That in itself is a problem.

Once outside, I go to the side of the building to catch some air. I lean against the concrete and analyze what just happened in my mind.

Was I good enough? Did I say too much?

I just hope I played my cards right, because despite all my bravado inside there, I know that it may be the only hand I'm dealt for a while.

  Chase

  What the fuck was that?

She's stunning. I can't believe what just happened. I'm the one around here who's pessimistic about life, and yet Nicole has left even my mouth agape. She's petite, but curvy. Sweet, but full of fire. I couldn't stop looking at her tits, her eyes, her ass… It all took me off guard.

And then when she opened her mouth and had such scathing words to say about the firm, well, that took me over the edge.

She's everything I've been missing and didn't know I needed. She's an anomaly—which I fully intend to make mine.

"Are you guys thinking what I'm thinking?" I ask, even though I already know what they think.

Our tastes are the same, after all. We share a business, we share women, and we share a friendship. I know these guys like I know myself.

We're all looking for something special and she's it.

  She's it.

"I'm thinking it," Adam says, confirming my thoughts. "She's the one. I know it. She's the one we've been waiting for."

"Oh, yeah, right," I joke. "You've been waiting for someone, Adam? I don't think so. You're the biggest player in town."

"Yeah, but for her, I could change."

"You mean that?" Cameron is as disbelieving as I am.

"Of course. Did you see her?" he says.

Yeah, I saw her. Trust me; I saw everything.

"She's perfect," Cameron says. "Those tits, that attitude. Just what we've been looking for."

  "The perfect submissive," I declare.

The thought of breaking her down makes my cock twitch. There's nothing more rewarding than having a woman submit to you.

I'm dying to let my cock harden between her thighs. I want her on my desk, on the couch, up against the window, everywhere.

Nicole is going to be the new girl, and I'm the perfect man to show her how it's done.

Adam remarks, "She has no fear, that one."

"It's perfect," Cameron agrees. "She actually stood up to us during our first encounter. She must have known the job was on the line, but she went ahead and did it anyway."

I know we have found our match in Nicole. She took on three alpha males in her first sitting. She's what we need in the office and what we need in life.

I wonder though if she can conform to our wishes. She will need to let go and, though she has guts, that may hurt her in the end if she can't recognize what she needs.

If she can't let us be the authority so that she can unwind, then it'll be a problem.

Nicole seems like the kind of girl that has control over all areas of her life. From the paperwork, I see that she makes plenty of money to survive. She lives in a good location, works two jobs.

And yet if she exerts too much control, then we won't be able to help her. She wants someone to dominate her; she just doesn't know it yet.

And I can that tell she doesn't know, because she stood up to us. Most girls that want to be dominated spread their legs all too easily, and they play it all wrong.

Nicole's a good candidate. She could be the best. But if she can't let us own her, then she'll miss out on what she's secretly craving.

Only by giving full ownership of her body to us will she feel safe enough to find release and to achieve new heights of unexpressed pleasure.

Breaking my train of thought, Adam says, "The fact that she has zero fear is so attractive. We don't just want someone around who's a yes woman; we want someone who is strong and can stand up to us."

"You're right," Cameron says. "That girl has something special, something that I think we need to get on. She's right that they could hire her at another firm. She knows her value. She may be just a bartender now but the girl's gonna turn into something big."

I take my seat and sip some espresso from the tray. I feel pensive having seen Nicole so idealistic. It reminds me of the time that I was first starting out, and life seemed so romantic and full of possibilities. The political world was a fresh landscape to get things done.

Now, I've become sorely jaded. Seeing her reminds me of how opportunist
ic I was. Like Nicole, I would've done anything to get in the door of a big political firm.

"She's dignified, too, isn't she, you guys?" I say.

"Yeah," Cameron says "She has a lot of character, and I think we could use her. In fact, I think we can learn a lot from her. She’ll definitely fit in with the firm."

Nicole. Little does she know how bad I'm already aching at the thought of having some feisty new female in the office. I imagine getting my hands all over her and bringing her down a notch.

She needs a man like me. Like us. We can be good for each other.

She can pull me back to life and out of my sobering moods. In return, I can show her how very good it feels to be commanded and dominated. Nicole doesn't know it yet, but things are about to get very interesting around here.

Adam leans back on the leather sectional with his black espresso and asks what we're all thinking, "Do you think she'll have us, though? She's very strong-willed, and it might take a lot of doing to break her down."

"I don't know either, Adam," I say. "But I damn well would like to try."

"My God," Adam says. "She's got you hooked and you only just met her."

"Finally, someone has Chase taking an interest in," Cameron laughs.

They're having fun at my expense but I don't mind. I'm excited and that rarely happens.

I spend the rest of the day trying not to be preoccupied with Nicole, but already she's permeating my thoughts in dangerous new ways.

I can't wait to have my secretary call her and tell her she's got the job. She'll be so excited.

But I doubt she’ll be as excited as me.
