His Human Temptation

Page 9

by Lily Thomas

Jessica’s head spun with all the sensations that were overloading her system. She whimpered as his lips assaulted her, demanding her surrender. Her lips eased open, and his tongue shot into her mouth eager to explore what she had to offer.

She felt herself begin to melt against him, and she pulled away. “I ache for you.”

“And I for you,” Bruyx growled. He broke away from her, her hand slipping away from his cock as he backed up. “Take them off.” He motioned to her pants.

Jessica rushed to do his bidding. She yanked her pants down her legs and then was about to shed her underwear when he pounced.

Bruyx pushed her up against the trunk of the tree, grabbed onto her thighs and lifted her until she wrapped her legs around his waist. She wrapped her arms around his neck.

“I’m going to take you until we plummet into oblivion.” He promised darkly.

Jessica arched her back her inner thigh brushing past the head of his hard cock. “Yes. Take me.”

His hands massaged her buttocks as he positioned his cock at her entrance simply brushing her underwear to the side with a couple of fingers. “So wet.” He rubbed the head of his cock between her thick folds nudging her entrance.

“Yes,” Jessica whispered as she dug her heels into the fabric of his pants.

Slowly, he eased into her, the head of his cock spreading her entrance wide, and although he had a wide girth, she was so wet that he just slid into her effortlessly. Bruyx gripped her buttocks and thrust the rest of the way into her.

Bruyx groaned her name as she moaned his. His cock hit every sweet spot inside of her as he withdrew his cock to the head and then pounded it right back into her. The buttons on his pants dug into her skin, not painfully, but they sent a spark of desire soaring through her.

Her world shrunk as he pumped into her. He growled as she whimpered, waiting for the bliss to hit its peak. Her breasts bounced above the neckline of her shirt as he slammed into her seeking each of their climaxes.

“I’m going to fill you.” Bruyx ground out right before his movements became jerky, slamming his cock into her to the hilt.

She was sent off the cliff of pleasure, and she moaned his name to the heavens above.

“Yes!” He pumped into her, his hot seed spurting into her, and her pussy trembled and quaked around him, coaxing him and his cum deep into her body.

As the quakes slowly eased away, Bruyx continued to pump into her riding the very last wave. His head slumped down resting his forehead against hers.

What they were doing here really was stupid. They could die here on this planet at any second, and if they got off this planet, his people might just lop her head off anyways.

Bruyx withdrew from her, and she immediately missed his cock filling her. Gently, he let her back down until her feet were touching the ground.

When he pulled away, she watched him button his pants back up, and she smiled. She could see herself doing him for the rest of her life. He liked to appear rough and emotionless, but he couldn’t hide his inner self from her.

Jessica got her shirt and bra straightened out, and then grabbed her pants. She slipped each leg into the pants and tossed him a broad smile in the darkness. “Let’s get back to Bethany.”

  Chapter 9

Bruyx led his small group through the forest the very next day. They’d gotten an early start despite Bethany’s complaints that it had been too early. He planned on getting them off this planet today. He’d surveyed the Hennians for long enough to figure out their landing times before he’d met Jessica. They had to land to drop off their hunters, and he was taking his group to a planned landing.

He kept trying to keep his distance from Jessica, kept trying to remind himself that both Jessica and Bethany were expendable, but then he’d watch her interacting with the child, and his heart would hitch. She was a caring person, to a fault. But he had to admire her inner strength. She was willing to risk her own neck for that child.

“Where are we headed?” Jessica asked seeming to catch on to the excitement coursing through his veins.

“I’m hoping to catch the Hennians landing a hunting party.”

“Is that a good thing?” Her eyes widened.

“They’ve taught you to fear them. What you should be doing is thinking of them not as an enemy but as a way off this planet.” The Hennians were their ride off this damn hunting planet.

She shook her head. “I don’t think I can just push the fear out of my mind. I’ve seen them kill too many people right in front of my eyes.”

“They won’t expect us to board their ship. I haven’t seen them ever post guards.”

“I hope you’re right about this because you could get us all killed.”

Bruyx was slightly insulted she lacked faith in his ability. He had yet to guide them wrong. “You can leave whenever you want.” He glanced over at her noticing the hurt that flashed through her grey eyes.

“I figured you’d want me to stay,” Jessica whispered just under her breath.

He did his best to harden his heart, but damn her, their nights together had been something special. “I do.”

Jessica’s grey eyes turned towards him, filled to the brim with happiness and hope.

He wanted to dash those hopes here and now, but he couldn’t bring himself to do that. He was a prominent man on his world, a councilor. Someone who had duties to fulfill and he wasn’t sure a human was the right woman to stand by his side. She’d have to be strong emotionally to handle the position. His first wife had been a Sri’thaen, and even she hadn’t been able to handle it… or him.

And then there was this war that was supposedly going on. He’d have to find out more about it and find out if the information Jessica had given him was correct.

“I’m tired.” Bethany plopped down on her butt and pouted her lips.

Bruyx stopped and waited for them to figure it out. Jessica was better with the child then he was. He wasn’t a family man and had never thought about having children before. It wasn’t something he had experience with. He was an only child… and his previous wife and he hadn’t been able to have children. Just another stress that had ended their marriage.

Jessica grimaced. “I can carry you.”

“No,” he stepped in, “I’ll carry her.”

“I can do it.” Jessica insisted.

“I don’t want you to be bone tired when we get to the drop off point. I might need you for the plan to work.” He strode up beside the little girl and motioned for her to stand. “I’ll carry you the rest of the way, Bethany.”

“I don’t want to go with you.” She folded her arms in front of her chest her blue eyes sparking with defiance.

He cocked an eyebrow. “Then we’ll leave you.”

Bethany turned her blue eyes to Jessica, and he prayed she’d go along. This kid was more stubborn than Jessica, but at least she talked less.

Jessica managed to keep a straight face even though her eyes were glaring daggers over at him.

Hey, if it worked, then it worked. Sometimes a little tough love helped a child’s development, in his mind.

“Fine.” Bethany got up off the ground and let him pick her up and prop her up against his waist.

“Now, let’s get going before we miss the Hennian ship landing.” Bruyx was eager to make this drop work. Otherwise, he’d have to wait a couple more months. Time was of the essence.

Jessica’s stomach twisted in excited knots. She’d been on this planet for long enough for any hope of escape to have been dashed. But Bruyx seemed so confident that his plan would work. She couldn’t help herself but get excited about this opportunity even though she knew there was a high chance that it might not succeed.

“We’re getting close.” Bruyx looked over at her, then he spoke to Bethany. “We need you to be quiet and not make a single noise.”

  Bethany nodded her head.

Jessica prayed the girl would be able to keep quiet because there was no telling what would h
appen when she saw more Hennians, the same species that may have killed her parents.

Bruyx stopped. “Can you take the child from here?”

“Of course.” Jessica reached out and took Bethany. She propped the girl up against her hip.

“I want to make sure I can get to my weapons in case the Hennians find and come after us.”

  “Makes sense to me.”

“I’m still hoping we won’t have to fight much.”

He wasn’t the only one. After everything they’d endured on this planet, she was ready for something to go right.

The less fighting they had to do was best in her mind.

“We?” Jessica looked over at him, as they continued to creep through the forest.

“I might need your help.” He glanced back at her. “Assuming you’re up for the challenge.”

“Yeah. I’m up for helping in any way that I can.” Jessica was just surprised he was acting like they were a team. It warmed her heart that he felt like she could be an asset. They’d come such a long way since they’d first met on this planet and he’d pushed her into a river.

As they continued to creep through the forest, she took a moment to take him in. His species might be seeking her species annihilation, but he was nothing like she would’ve expected.

He was to the point and not very talkative, but she could talk for the both of them. She’d been doing her best to keep her mouth shut lest she irritate him, and it’d been working. It had to be since he hadn’t left her.

Bruyx squatted down as they neared the forest’s edge, so she followed suit, taking a second to admire his ass in those tight pants.

Slowly, they crept out of the forest taking position behind some large boulders. Bethany had her arms wrapped around Jessica’s neck and was still propped up against her hip.

There were a couple of ships right in front of them.

Jessica heard Bethany suck in a sharp breath as a Hennian strode into view. Quickly, she clamped a hand down around Bethany’s face. She wasn’t about to trust the child to keep herself quiet without a silent reminder.

Thankfully, Bethany didn’t fight her. Jessica met her blue eyes and tried to reassure the girl with just eye contact. It worked. Bethany relaxed.

Once the Hennian disappeared, Bruyx swiveled around and raised a hand in the air, motioning her back into the forest.

“What’s the plan?” Jessica asked the moment they were back in the safety of the forest.

“They will stay here for a few days before leaving. That will leave us with the ability to study them and their guard movements before we make our move.”

“I thought you said they didn’t guard their ships.” She wondered if she’d heard him wrong earlier.

Bruyx scrubbed a hand down his face as he sat on the ground and rested his back against a tree trunk. “They didn’t use to have guards. Something must have happened.”

“Like?” Hope bloomed in her chest as she placed Bethany on the ground and rummaged in her pack for another nutritional bar for the girl.

“Perhaps someone came up with the same idea I did and tried to steal a ship.” Bruyx glanced over his shoulder to the edge of the forest.

“Maybe they were successful.” More hope bloomed in her chest.

“It could be possible.” He mused.

She found a nutritional bar and handed it over to Bethany.

  “Another one?” Bethany grumped.

Jessica frowned. “It’s all we have, but if you can keep quiet and we’re successful, we’ll be off this planet in no time, and you can go back to eating all the foods you like.”

  “You promise?”

Jessica glanced over at Bruyx. “I promise.” She believed Bruyx would get them off this planet alive. That man had a drive in him that would see this through.

“You two can get settled here. We won’t be living in the trees.”

  “Why not?”

“I want to be ready the moment we need to move and carrying both of you down the tree will take too much time. When I say move, I want all of you to book it to the ships.”

She nodded. “I’ll make sure we’re ready.”

“Better be, because I’m not wasting a chance to leave this planet because I have to wait for you two.”

Jessica nodded. He sounded harsh, but she knew she’d do the same in his shoes. Living one day on this planet was one too many. She could understand how eager he would be to get off the planet and back to his old life.

That gave her a second to pause.

She wasn’t sure her old life would be something she’d want to return to once they got off the planet. Her job wouldn’t still be there. They would’ve thought she was dead or had left without giving notice and filled the position already. She wasn’t sure what her family thought, assuming they noticed her disappearance. Her family was spread throughout the galaxy, and her mother was still bitter with her over her divorce.

“What do you plan on doing once we’re off this planet?” Jessica asked wondering what his life might still hold for him.

Bruyx glanced over at her before looking back over a rock at the Hennians not too far away. They were lingering around with plasma weapons at the ready. “Returning to my old life.”

“Will your job still be available to you?”

  “Of course.”

“Why are you so sure?” It seemed unfair that Jessica knew her employer wouldn’t have kept her position open yet he knew his would still be there.

“My position can’t be simply taken away.”

  “Vague.”

He glanced over at her, his brown eyes scanning over her face. “Why does my life interest you so much?”

She shrugged. She wasn’t really sure why it interested her. Perhaps she hoped he would invite her to live with him despite the fact that it would be impossible. “You’re the only person around to talk with, I’ve never met a Sri’thaen, or I’m jealous you’ll have a job to return to, take your pick.”

“I’m a councilor on my planet.” Bruyx finally told her. “Until they have proof of my death, they can’t simply fill the position.”

  “So, it remains open?”

He continued to watch the Hennians through the trees. “Someone will fill it temporarily, but they will have to give it up when I get back.”

“So, what does a councilor do?”

Bethany watched them as she munched on the bar. Her blue eyes flickered between them as they spoke.

Jessica sent her a quick reassuring smile. She was glad this kid was doing so well and being so well behaved. Then again, there was nothing like a little fear to get people whipped into shape.

“We oversee the Sri’thaen people, enforce judgments, and lay down laws.”

“You rule the Sri’thaens?” She was impressed. No wonder his job would still be there. She’d also slept with someone high up in the Sri’thaen government. The same government that wouldn’t blink at wiping away her insignificant life.

“I don’t rule the Sri’thaens.” Bruyx corrected her. “There are many councilors who sit on the board.”

“Still… I never would’ve imagined your life would be so…” Jessica searched for the right word as she waved at hand at him, “prestigious.” It was the best word because he was nearly a king or a president. “Are you voted into office?” That would solve the king or president question.

“Slightly. My family has always held a seat on the council because the people trust us and because we have always had a seat on the council.”

“Ah.” So, somewhat of a democracy. “But they could vote you off.”

“They’d have a hard time of it.”

Not so much of a democracy then. She shook her head. Why was she even bothering to learn about his people? It wasn’t like she’d be welcomed into their society, not right now when they were seeking the extinction of her species.

“What did you do?” Bruyx asked, surprising her slightly at his interest.

  “Nothing interesting.

“No life is uninteresting.” Bruyx pried.

“I figured you wouldn’t care to know.” She eyed him confused by his questioning.

“All I’m doing,” he pointed to the ships and the Hennians in the field, “is watching them. I can talk while I do this, and I know your affinity for talking.”

“Hey!” She scowled at him. “Talking isn’t necessarily a bad thing.”

“Depends on the situation. Now, are you going tell me about yourself or not?”

“I was nothing like a councilor, but I did work in advertising. I helped companies with reaching out to their consumers.”

“I can see where your talkative side would come in handy for that.”

“I prefer to call it being friendly.” Jessica grinned at him.

“You were good at your job?”

“I like to think I was. I had my job for several years, but sadly it won’t be there when I get back.”

“Why not? If you worked there for years, surely they value you and know you’re hardworking.”

Jessica looked over at Bethany who’d fallen asleep against a tree trunk the nutritional bar half eaten and still grasped in her small hand.

“I’ve been gone too long. Advertising is a fast-paced business. Consumer needs change constantly. They would’ve replaced me by now.” She sighed. “Escaping this planet will be a mixed blessing. I won’t be hunted day in and day out, but I’ll have to rebuild my life from the ground up.”

Jessica looked up and found him still staring at the Hennians. She worried about her future. Although she could always go live with one of her siblings. It just made her feel lame for needing their help. She was a grown woman. She wanted to be independent, not needing to rely on another person.

But they had yet to make it off the planet, so she’d worry about it later. Bruyx could still get them killed.

  Chapter 10

Bruyx stood alone in the dark watching the spaceships off in the distance. Jessica and Bethany had fallen asleep long ago. He glanced over to where Jessica had her arms wrapped around Bethany.
