Only to find eight nobles. He had invited Moon, Tian, and Sisay. Huh?

“There was a requirement to join our date,” he explained, waving me over to the bed.

“Being hot?” I snickered as I went over to him still.

“No, they had to scout areas for tomorrow,” he chuckled as he laid out a map. “We’ve been strategizing how to help our princess.”

“Nice,” I purred, quickly hopping on the bed and checking it out.

“And we’re to help get you ready,” Cerdic added, holding up some more bags… Full of bullets and empty magazines for my rifle.

“Clips, they are clips,” Sisay said.

“No, clips are those rows of bullets clipped to a base,” Tian replied.

“Yeah, but those are also belts of ammo too,” I interjected. “They’re all the same and arguing about something like that or poking people for what they call them is just petty and stupid. People call all of it different things all over the place. It’s not a toe versus finger, and in the end they all clip to your belt and hold bullets, so who cares?”

“Clearly you do,” Darius muttered, blinking at me.

I sighed. “No, sorry, I—there was this group of guys who went hunting for corrupted and I caught a ride with them to the next area I needed, and the whole fucking way they were bickering about clips versus magazines and how stupid people called them the wrong names when being so anti-gun, and now guns were saving everyone—which clearly they weren’t, with so many dead.”

Sisay nodded. “You are right, it is petty and stupid. There are more important things in life.” He gestured to the map. “Like winning your fun.”

“So what is all of this?” I asked as I checked it out.

“James is plotting to go for bison because of the size and weight,” Branko told me. “But there are gobs of deer all over. Turkeys and geese add weight as well and we marked out where bears are too heavy. We’ll handle culling some of the cats so you don’t have to.”

“Thanks.” Yeah, I wouldn’t have liked that, given how close I was with my knights.

“Thank you for wearing that,” he murmured as he moved on the bed with me. “You look even more beautiful in it than I imagined.”

“Thanks,” I whispered, my face flushing. I cleared my throat and looked at the map. “So we’ve got plans to win with these?”

“Yes, we each plotted an area and put up some tree stands for you,” Branko explained. “And I got you a silencer for your rifle.”

“Nice.” I saw he had a book in his hand. “So we’re going mellow and reading while loading mags?” I smiled when he nodded. “Cool.”

  “He chose Tolkien,” Cerdic chuckled.

I didn’t get it at first, but then it hit me and I felt my face flush. “They’re long books and it’s a trilogy. That means a lot of dates like this.”

  “That’s my hope,” he admitted.

I nodded, moving the map over to the desk in the other room and grabbing a bag of bullets and magazines before getting back on the bed. He sat next to me, leaning on his left hand that was right behind my butt on the bed as he opened the book. I shivered at his deep voice reading the story, his silky timber making it that much better and his accent just so delicious.

He leaned in after the first page and kissed my shoulder before continuing. The next time he needed to turn a page I got another kiss, this time on my neck. He rotated though, not trying to progress but simply kiss a different spot on me. One time, it would be the top of my shoulder, and then my back, then my arm and so on. It was ridiculously sexy and so was he.

I turned and met his lips after the first chapter. “Thanks for asking to court me.”

“Thank you for accepting,” he murmured. “There’s more to this date than bullets and reading, I promise.”

“Do I get naked?” I teased him, figuring that was part of it.

“I meant treats are coming soon, but I would never, not ever deter you from getting naked around me.”

I flushed again but then let the strap of the nightgown fall off my shoulder, letting him see my breast and nipple fully, since he was sitting next to me. But only him.

“Perfection,” he breathed before kissing under my ear. He went back to reading, but his thumb teased my butt, since it was still behind me. I leaned in closer as I kept loading mags, finding it such an odd combination but oddly perfect, as I liked to always use time wisely.

Only the smart survived in the apocalypse.

“I’m done,” Kristof said when he took the rest from me. “You relax and I’ll keep going. We’ll go get more if you want so we’re not wasting time.”

“Do you think we should start melting down guns? We have so, so many already and—we won’t ever need that many. Bullets, fine, though maybe we should convert them into bigger bullets, as there are so many handgun bullets it’s ridiculous, but… What do you think?”

“I think it’s a good point but can wait,” he answered honestly after a few moments. “There is a lot on the docket already and we can hide it all at your coven and when there’s nothing to do—as one day there will be—you can turn all the old revolvers and whatever else into energy beads.”

I nodded, glad I brought it up so it wasn’t on my mind later. “Do you guys mind doing this?”

“It’s nice,” Moon answered. “I’ve not read Tolkien in some time and—this is nice. Calm when there hasn’t been any calm in many years.”

Yeah, I certainly didn’t remember calm. I thanked Kristof and actually laid down so my head was on Branko’s lap. We went through another chapter that way before Darius pulled me to sit up but then turned me so I was lying flat on the bed.

“Massage time,” he told me. “Our princess needs some spoiling with all she’s been doing.”

I didn’t even want to argue, his hands were so amazing and loving when they massaged me. I smiled up at Branko and snuggled into the pillow Darius had given me, putting another under my hips. Darius’s hands had oil on them and were cool as he started on my feet, but then they warmed with my body heat. I sighed, sinking into the bed as he relieved the stress my body was feeling.

My heart hurt for the hobbits though as I listened to the dark riders coming for them, looking to capture them, hurt them or kill them, knowing that fear. I knew how terrifying it was to always look over your shoulder and try to keep moving while knowing darkness stalked you.

“You’re crying,” Branko whispered, his fingers brushing my cheek and wiping tears. “No crying this date.”

I gave a soft chuckle as I sniffled. “That date didn’t count. Just this one. Sorry, I was thinking how all I knew was being chased by darkness and scared until I met Darius and then Jaxon. Then Kristof, even if he terrified me. Cerdic. Now you, and even Eddie. My knights. My life is so, so much better now, and even if things are hard I’m not all on my own, running from darkness.”

“I keep thinking there is so much I wish I could forget but then I think not knowing would drive me mad,” Sisay admitted, giving me a sad look. “Remembering isn’t easy either, but… I don’t know which is better or worse. You are a clean slate for our world, but not having knowledge of the past hurt you too. I’m sorry for what you’ve suffered.”

“Thanks.” I sniffled again. “Sorry, didn’t mean to make it all about me. I just—I empathize with Frodo. He didn’t know any of this and was thrown in the deep end.” I smiled up at Branko. “That’s why you really picked it, right?” I smiled when shock flashed in his eyes. “There are other long books or series we could have read together. You could have picked something romantic in the hopes of turning me on but you went with a quest.”

“You are so intelligent for one so young and having only five years’ memory,” he whispered, leaning over and kissing my forehead. “Yes, I thought you would want to hear of another quest of hardships, but one that must be done.”

I nodded, glad when he didn’t push and went back to reading. Darius moved up to my calves and then I realized ther
e were four hands on me. I glanced up to see Cerdic was helping with my left leg, and Darius my right.

“Shit, why is this so extra?” I moaned as they moved together.

“Symmetry and balance,” Cerdic muttered, and I wasn’t sure if he was messing with me or not. He was the Zen master for sure, but sometimes I knew he was poking fun at people.

Darius snorted when they moved to my thighs and I had the nightgown off in a flash. Someone muttered that it was good to know how to get me to take anything off fastest. I almost snarked back, but Branko shushed them. Right, calm time.

Except it really wasn’t when they massaged my ass. I kept angling to get more, Cerdic chuckling and giving my ass a light swat.

“Cut it out. We’ll get dirty in time, I promise.”

  “Don’t strike her,” Darius snapped.

“It’s fine, we’ve joked I deserve to be spanked,” I cut in, meeting his upset gaze. “Darius, I’m not made of glass. He didn’t do in front of guests or just randomly. I’d get mad if he just slapped my ass at breakfast, but this is fine.”

He gave a slow nod. “Of course.” He must have seen I was still worried because he leaned in and gave me a quick kiss. “I get it. I don’t like it if people don’t check with you, but if you’re fine with it, I am too.”

That seemed to settle it but there was something more there. I wasn’t sure what but he’d gotten really upset over that. Did he worry I’d have flashbacks to those other nobles? None of them hit me or touched me sexually. They couldn’t have.

Branko kept reading and I got lost in the story and his voice as they moved onto my back. I was a pile of mush when they reached my shoulders.

There was a knock at the door and Darius hurried to put my nightgown back on, which I thought sweet, as most of my coven had seen me naked already. I smiled when Nick came in with a cart of nummies.

“I’m supposed to spy and get whatever details I can for James, but I’m not and I hope you kick his ass,” he told me with a wink. “You let him off easy last time and we both know he won’t do the same.”

“Right, I never did claim that win, just that I would make him do what I’d said,” I muttered, having totally forgotten about it. “Seems like years ago.”

“Yes, you keep busy, but our lives have gotten so much better since meeting you.” He poured me a glass of something from a pitcher. “This is chamomile iced tea, sweetened, but it will help our princess sleep as she needs it and to be ready to win tomorrow.”

“Thanks,” I said as I accepted it. I took a sip and smacked my lips. “Nummy. Did you add mint?”

  “Of course, you love mint.”

“I woves you,” I cooed at the wolf, who I did totally adore. “Thanks, Nick.”

“Always. If your suitors want to see ways to spoil you when you go to bed, they can find a list I left in the kitchen, as I’m calling it an early night as well. And I want to know what you like best of those options.” He glanced around and chuckled. “Have a fun night.”

“Night.” He left and Branko went to hand me a plate but I just opened my mouth, holding my glass with both hands. “Oh wait, I don’t want to spill on the nightgown. It’s really pretty.” I hurried to wiggle back out of it.

“Fuck, Inez,” he breathed, eyeing me over like he wanted nothing more to eat me.

“No, but maybe on like the fifth date? That sounds like something a woman should do, yeah?”

“Uh-huh,” he murmured, cutting me a bite and feeding me heaven.

“Shit, what is that?” I moaned, my eyes about rolling back up into my head.

“The card says passion fruit mango cheesecake,” Darius muttered. “Damn, Nick is taking his role as your head chef seriously.”

“Can you write down our votes?” I asked him. “That’s a ten. At least. Yeah, awesome.” I didn’t like the banana and passion fruit soufflé as much, but it was still good.

“It’s excellent for a soufflé, but I’m not sure these flavors should be a soufflé,” Jaxon muttered.

  “I don’t know, it’s my first,” I admitted.

I did really like the different mini fruit tarts. I gave Branko a kiss for getting the fruits and then crooked my finger to Kristof, since he’d gotten the milk so we could have the butter, whipped cream, and more.

“It’s nice to see you so relaxed and at ease,” he murmured against my lips. “You are tastier than any of the treats, but trying them with you is fun.”

“It is,” I agreed, my cheeks heating at his praise. It was hard to just sit there naked for them, but I also liked their stares. I know, I was weird, but it wasn’t like I’d been having sex or used to intimacy with men for years. I think I got a pass.

There were several more nummies to try but then I was completely full, having a piece of pie with dinner. I gave my rating and fell back to the bed.

“Nope, no more, gonna get fat,” I moaned as I set down my empty glass on the nightstand. “That was so good.”

“You were too skinny when we met, but this is still a perfectly flat stomach,” Darius muttered as he moved his hand over my stomach. “These breasts are a bit bigger.”

“Are you sure?” I panted as he massaged them, oil on his hands again. “You should really check.”

“I plan to, my love,” he chuckled, giving me a heated look and smirking to my right, where I saw Cerdic come back.

I about mewled as they each took a breast and massaged it with both hands. Slicked up hands spread my legs and I saw Kristof and Jaxon had joined us on the bed, each of them taking a thigh and massaging me… While making sure to brush against my pussy.

“Get a better view,” Kristof offered his friends. He shrugged when I gave him a shocked look. “As long as they’re good to you, we’ll include them. If you’re uncomfortable or one upsets you, then we won’t.”

“But you invite them when you don’t the other nobles. It was just Branko. There are Eddie and the others.”

He shared a look with the others and I realized why—these guys were powerful and we wanted them on our side. If they fell for me then they would always be in our side. It was exactly how Jaxon and Darius had acted with Kristof and Cerdic.

“The others might want your attention as a woman, but they’ve made it clear they want to be part of your coven, not your court,” he answered though. That was fair and I’d heard the same. “No more serious tonight. Our princess needs pampering.”

“Twist my arm,” I gasped as fingers touched my clit. “I’m so not going to be able to focus on the story if you’re doing that.”

“I think we’re done reading for the night,” Branko chuckled, sipping a glass of something. I almost asked, but then I saw the bottle of whiskey Tian handed Sisay.

“So you guys just watch?” I chuckled nervously. “Is that really so enjoyable?”

  “Yes,” the answered together.

Okay then. I would have thought it frustrating or teasing, but to each their own.

I had an evil thought and a giggle slipped out. I smirked when Darius asked me what that was about. “My knights feel my orgasms if they’re near. It made me realize that we could keep James up all night with me climaxing and it just seemed so silly.”

“Another night we should try it,” Jaxon murmured. “Tonight is about our princess.”

“And it’s not just your knights,” Darius told me, frowning when I blinked at him. “I thought you knew we felt it too now.”

“No, just if you bite my knights it’s orgasmic too. Damn, that’s just… Dirty.”

“It’s not just you,” Branko admitted. “There are lots of princesses with that ability. It can fade if the noble falls out of lust with them.”

“That’s so sad,” I whispered. I had a feeling he wanted to say “love” but maybe wasn’t convinced nobles ever loved their princess. I wasn’t sure.

“No heavy tonight,” Kristof reminded me.

I nodded and enjoyed my massage as they built me up and played my body. I finished so many time
s, I didn’t think I could take anymore, but I couldn’t just go to sleep like that.

“Make love to me?” I asked Kristof as I moved to block his fingers from winding me back up. “We’ve only played today and only me. Make love to your fiancée and stay with me a bit before you guys trade off?”

“Always,” he whispered as he moved away to undress.

I smirked up at Jaxon and Darius. “Apparently you’ll both feel it as well.”

“We do when we’re with you as well,” Jaxon admitted. “It’s—there aren’t words for what it feels like.”

“Nice,” I chuckled, giving Cerdic a glance and frowning. “And I’m leaving you hanging then.”

“Oh, I had lots of fun with you earlier after tai chi,” he reminded me. “I love that time with you. Kristof’s more the exhibitionist of us, where I relish our private time.” He bounced that around. “I like all of it, but being alone with you really lights my fire.”

I nodded I understood as Kristof moved over me. Then he smirked at me and rolled us off the bed. He wrapped me around him so he was completely supporting my weight as he pushed inside me. Then he moved one hand to the bed with his feet on the floor, keeping me wrapped around him and moving me exactly how he wanted.

“This is what you wanted to try, yes? The python?”

“Yes, yes, do this,” I moaned, completely turned on how easily he held me, his strength as apparent as his need for me as he moved us. “Uh-huh, be my first like this.”

“Fuck, Inez,” he groaned, burying his face against my neck. “You’re a python virgin huh? You waited just for me?”

“Yes, wanted you to give me this,” I whimpered as he moved deeper in me. “You need me wrapped around you, don’t you? You always want me this close?”

“Yes,” he hissed, his fangs coming out and running along my neck. “Fuck, yes, and I will make love to you like this again after you accept my oath, Inez. I will take my wife, my everything so deeply she will always know I am a part of her.”
