“Angus, your brothers need you,” says Tula as she grabs my arm. “We need to get them out, and we need to get off the street before the police arrive.”

She’s right, of course, but I want so badly to hurt this bastard. To end his life.

“Angus, please,” her voice is a plea that tames the rage inside me.

Going through his pockets, I find a set of keys with a small device attached to the keychain, which I hand to Tula.

“Wow! I’ve only read about these. I didn’t realize they were on the market yet.”

  “What is it?” I ask.

“It’s called The Barrier. When it’s tripped, it sends a signal to all the locks in your home, locking everything.”

“Help me get him to the car.”

Together we drag him back and lay him across the back seat.

“He doesn’t look like a monster anymore. He looks broken.”

“Good. Remember him this way. Now, how do we get Sean and Kyle out?”

My cell phone got smashed when Tula and I collided, so I have no way of contacting them.

Tula holds up the device and points it toward the building, pressing a button. “That should do it.”

Not wanting to leave Tula alone with Locutus, I ask, “Could you go and see if they got out?”

She glances down at Locutus and nods, then runs across the street. I wait impatiently for her to return to me. Locutus doesn’t move.

Tula can’t have been gone for more than a few minutes when I’m about to leave him and make sure she’s okay. Sean bursts through the door and out onto the sidewalk with Tula and Kyle right behind him. They all jog toward me, a look of surprise goes across Sean’s face when he sees the man in the backseat.

“Meet Patrick Lau,” I say with a grin.

“What the fuck happened to his face?” asks Sean.

  “Angus happened,” replies Tula.

  Tula

We left Paris that night. Sean took great delight in hog-tying Locutus. We have smuggled him into the country, and the jet has just landed on U.S. soil, but we haven’t decided what to do with him.

We’re all tired. None of us has slept.

Sean, for the hundredth time, says, “He deserves to die. I can make it slow or quick, you choose.” His eyes flick to me, and I shiver.

In his warped sense of justice, Sean thinks I should get to be the judge of Locutus’ fate. Death is too easy a solution for me.

“He needs to pay for what he’s done, but killing him would be wrong.”

“You didn’t seem to have any qualms killing that guy in Mexico,” states Sean.

Lola smiles and nods at me. She seems to like the fact I killed somebody.

  “That was different.”

  “How?” asks Sean.

Angus scrubs a hand over his face several times and shakes his head. “It’s different because this bastard has been behind dozens of terrorist operations. We should hand him over to the FBI or the NSA. They could use him to bring down a lot of other terrorist cells.”

“You say that after you nearly killed him with your bare hands, brother. Let me finish the job.”

Angus shakes his head at Sean and looks at Kyle. It seems Kyle will get the final vote that everyone will abide by.

Kyle stands and flexes his arms above his head. He takes in a deep breath and slowly lets it out. He hasn’t weighed in on the conversation except to tell Sean to stand down repeatedly.

“The way I see it… Tula gets to decide.”

I’ve been studying the carpet as he spoke, but now my head snaps up, and I’m on my feet. “What?”

“You’re the one he’s done the most harm to. If you want him to live or die, we’ll do whatever you decide.”

I look at Sean, and he nods, then I turn to Angus. “We should hand him over.”

Angus smiles at me, and immediately, I see an idea forming behind his eyes. “Yes, to our favorite FBI agent. Maybe he’ll get a promotion and be of more use to us?”

Sean claps his hands and grins. He likes that idea.

“So, you’re happy to hand him over?” I ask, shocked he’d be won over so easily.

“Yeah, I hadn’t thought of that. Special Agent Jamieson would be more use to us if he was higher up the chain of command.”

“Do I want to know how you have control over an FBI agent?” The boys all smile at me, but no one offers to tell me. “Fine.”

“Can we go now?” asks Maddock.

“Yeah, we can,” says Kyle as he walks down the stairs into the fresh air.

“How are we going to get him off the jet?” I ask.

Sean cackles like a madman. “Leave that part to me.”

I’m alone with Angus in a hotel. The others all went to their homes, but he made excuses for wanting to bring me here. He still hasn’t told them he has to leave. The room is booked under one of my many aliases. The joys of being a hacker, you acquire people’s names and details. I’m so tired, I can barely put one foot in front of the other.

When Locutus abducted me in Paris, I froze with fear. It wasn’t until I heard Angus yell my name that I fought him. I think I’ve been running on adrenaline since that moment.

Standing, I go into the bathroom and turn on the shower. We booked the penthouse suite, which has a double shower with a shelf that’s big enough to sit on. I shut the door and take off all of my clothing. It takes only a moment for the hot water to come through. Stepping under the spray, I let the water wash away the stench of Locutus and my fears and anxiety. Lathering up a washcloth, I wipe it over my skin, being careful around my wounds.

I’m so out of it, I don’t hear the bathroom door open. It’s only when Angus puts his hands on my shoulders that I realize he’s in the room. He takes the washcloth from me and wipes it down my back, then he drops to his knees and moves it down my body. Blood pumps through my veins, turning my insides into molten lava.

When his lips caress my buttocks, an electric shock goes through me, causing me to shudder and moan. Angus rises and turns me around. He’s naked. His cock is hard and erect. I reach for it, wrapping a hand around the thick shaft.

Angus groans his approval. His lips start at my neck, and he’s maneuvering me further into the shower until my ass hits the shelf. Then in one swift movement, he lifts me and places me on it.

Automatically, my legs part to allow him to stand between them. He drops to his knees, puts his hands on my ass, and pulls me forward. As if by their own volition, my legs go over his shoulders.

Most of my lovers have taken this slowly. They pepper kisses on my inner thighs or kiss their way down my body, but not Angus. Like a man starving, his tongue dives into my folds, searching for my nub. He sucks and licks at me, my thighs burn, and my body feels like it’s on fire.

Looking down at him and the muscles of his shoulders, he’s perfect. Where his brothers are bulky, he’s wiry. The roughness of his stubble grazes my most sensitive areas, and I clutch him to me, riding his face. He inserts a finger into my vagina, and then another and another as his tongue works its magic.

The orgasm hits me hard, and I stop moving, unable to even have a conscious thought as pleasure tears its way through my body. With a final shudder and a squeal, my orgasm reaches its climax. Angus continues to work me through the aftershocks, making this the most intense orgasm I’ve ever experienced.

I pull him off me, forcing him to look at me. His eyes are filled with lust. Slowly, he rises, only to stop and pull my nipple into his mouth, running his tongue across it—first one and then the other. My body starts to burn again with desire. Abruptly, he stops his assault on my breasts and works his way up my neck, kissing and nibbling his way to my mouth. His lips feel so soft compared to the stubble that covers his face. Bending, he picks me up, turns, and sits on the bench, then impales me on his cock.

It fills me completely, and I feel my body stretch to accommodate this massive intrusion. Angus lifts me and then slams me back down onto his cock, grunting like an anim
al. I roll my hips, and his eyes roll back, so I do it again, and he growls. Knowing he likes it, I roll my hips faster. Angus has one hand on my ass, and he moves his other hand so he can apply pressure to my clit. My cries of ecstasy join his animalistic grunts as he works me into another frenzy. The orgasm that rips through me takes me by surprise, and I dig my nails into his shoulders. Angus’ grunts turn into moans when he spills his seed inside of me.

Exhausted, I rest my head on his shoulder. Both of us breathing heavily as the water from the shower falls over us. We stay like that, joined, not speaking for a few minutes.

As our breathing evens out, Angus stands, lifting me off him as he does. I gasp at the sudden loss of him. Gently, he picks up the washcloth and wipes me down, then quickly does himself.

We both reach for a towel and dry ourselves off.

Angus wraps his arms around me, his hard body pressed against my soft one, and guides me toward the bed. He pulls down the covers and lets me climb in while he goes around the other side. I wait until he’s under the covers, then mold my body to his.

It occurs to me that neither of us spoke during our lovemaking.

“Angus, I don’t think I just like you. I’m pretty sure it’s more than that.”

I wait for his response, but he says nothing. Raising slightly, I peer at him in the darkness, but he’s fast asleep with a smile on his face.

Tomorrow is as good a time as any to have this conversation.

Nestling back into his form, I close my eyes and fall into a dreamless sleep.

  Angus

I wake with Tula’s mouth wrapped around my cock, her tongue tracing the tip, teasing the nerves. My fingers entangle in her hair as I move her faster. The familiar tingle in my balls is building quickly. She flicks her tongue over the tip again, and I let go of her to grip the sheets as I blow into her mouth.

“Fuuuck!” I roar, enjoying the early morning gift.

Tula moves off me, wiping her mouth on the sheets before she straddles me. She has a look of pride on her face.

“That can’t have been any fun for you.”

“I owed you one,” she replies simply.

I shake my head. “You owe me nothing.”

Tula shrugs and moves off my body to lie next to me. “What are you going to do?”

  It’s a simple question.

  We need to leave.

My family will not like it, but Charlotte Manning isn’t going to let me go easily. To stay here puts us all in danger.

“Will you come with me?” I ask, worried she’ll say no.

I’m rewarded with a slap to my chest and a peal of laughter. “Of course, silly.”

“You don’t mind? You’ll be leaving your life behind.”

Tula flips to her stomach and rises onto her elbows, giving me an eyeful of her gorgeous breasts. “It wasn’t much of a life after Brian died. I was obsessed with finding out what happened to him.” Her lips turn down in sadness as she remembers her long-dead brother.

“Where do you want to go?”

  “We need money.”

“We have money. I have some locked away in an offshore account that no one knows about, not even my brothers.”

Tula smiles, and as always, it lights up her entire face. “I’ve always wanted to scuba dive in the Maldives, and what’s better… they have a no extradition treaty with the U.S.”

  “You scuba dive?”

“Nope, never done it, but I want to.”

I laugh, and she smiles wickedly at me. “There are lots of little islands we could get lost on.”

“Hmm…” A vision of her in a bikini and nothing else flashes through my mind. “Maldives it is.”

“When are you going to tell them?”

“I’m not. I’m going to say we’re going on a vacation.”

“That’s not fair to them.” Her smile has gone, and she’s looking at me seriously.

Sighing, I sit up. “They’ll try and fix it, and we both know they can’t. Charlotte Manning isn’t going to let me go, and my brothers won’t let me leave.” I shrug. “It’s easier this way.”

Tula rolls over and puts her feet on the floor, then stands. “For you or them?”

I watch her ass as she walks into the bathroom, and I know she’s right.

  It is easier for me.

It’s not like I haven’t disappeared before. I’ve only stayed with them this long as I wanted into the MC, but that’s an impossibility now. The NSA isn’t going to let me go. Tula and I are waiting for Kyle and Sean out at the pit. It’s an area of land with a huge shed built on it and a deep, dark well that the MC has been known to throw people into. I shudder at the thought and rub my arms.

“Are you okay?” asks Tula as she wraps her arms around me.

“Yeah, it’s just this place. Gives me the creeps.”

Tula looks around at the trees and green foliage and shrugs. She doesn’t know what goes on here. I shouldn’t know what goes on here, but I’ve been around the MC long enough to hear the whispers. This is also a place where the MC occasionally parties.

The sound of Harleys reverberates in the air, and then Sean and Kyle come into view. Sean always looks like the big bad biker with a bandanna around his face and dark glasses. They turn off their bikes and dismount.

With Tula’s hand in mine, we walk toward them.

“Hey,” grunts Sean by way of a greeting.

It’s early, so I guess he hasn’t woken up properly yet.

Kyle stretches and smiles at Tul, then me. “Why did you want to meet here?”

“No cameras out here,” I reply.

“I’m going to wait in the car.” Tula kisses my cheek and walks past my brothers, who give me a quizzical look.

“What gives?” asks Sean as he watches her walk away.

“I need to tell you something.”

Before I can elaborate, Kyle holds up his hands to silence me.

“Angus, I know we’ve been hard on you where the MC is concerned. It was out of respect to Da that we kept you out. You’re wicked smart, and we…” he pauses and shakes his head, “… no, I thought I was doing the right thing. I was trying to honor Da’s wishes and keep you safe. I can see now that you don’t need me to protect you anymore.”

Sean grins and punches me in the arm. “It was agreed that I would be your sponsor, and you’ll be our newest prospect.”

My mouth falls open. Damn! It’s all I’ve wanted for so long, but now it’s an impossibility.

Sean is grinning and nodding at me, clearly pleased with the decision, but Kyle sees my surprise. “You don’t want in?” he asks.

I shake my head. “It’s all I have ever wanted.”

Sean lets out a shout of joy and engulfs me in a bear hug. “You’re going to do great.” He lets me go and steps back, staring me in the eyes. “Why don’t you look happy?”

  “I can’t stay.”

Confusion washes across his features, and he glances at Kyle, whose eyes bore into mine.

  “The NSA?” asks Kyle.

I nod. “I might not be on any databases anymore, but they know about me. They’ll be looking.”

Sean purses his lips. “I could kill her.”

As always, Sean is the protector of the family. He’ll do anything, even murder, to keep us safe.

“It won’t do any good. Not unless you’re willing to take out everyone in the NSA?”

Sean’s lips turn down as he considers this prospect and how he could get away with actually carrying it out, and it causes me to laugh.

“What are you going to do?” asks Kyle.

I nod toward Tula and say, “We’re leaving.” I reach into my pocket and hand him a cell phone. “The only number on this is for me. If you need me, use it. They’ll get word to me, and I’ll find you.”

Sean’s head swivels between us, his face flushes red. “No. There has to be another way.”

I shake my head. Sean was always going to be the hardest to convince, so I lightly punch
him in the arm.

“I’m only a phone call away.”

“This is bullshit.” He turns to face Kyle. “Tell him he can’t go.”

Kyle’s lips turn down, and he pats Sean on the upper arm. “You know he can’t stay.”

Sean strides away from us, hands on hips, shaking his head.

  “Thanks, Kyle.”

He swallows and rubs a hand over his face. “Don’t thank me. I don’t want you to go either,” he says, his voice thick with emotion.

This isn’t what I expected. Sure, I knew Sean would be upset but Kyle, he’s usually the practical one,

“It’s not forever. I’ll drop in unexpectedly from time to time, just not for a while.”

He nods, looks at me sideways, and sucks in a deep breath. “Yeah.”

Without warning, he throws his arms around me.

  “I’ll miss you,” I say.

Kyle squeezes me harder, then pulls away, wiping at his face. “You better get going.”

Sean still has his hands on his hips, facing away from us. Standing beside him, I nudge his side with my elbow. He wipes his eyes with the palms of his hands.

“I thought we’d finally got it right. You in the MC, me as your sponsor, but we took too long, didn’t we?”

“Brother, I think things were always going to turn out this way. The life I lead, I was bound to either end up in jail or…”

“You leaving,” Sean finishes my sentence for me.

I nod, and he turns to face me. “You better keep in touch. Find a way.”

“I will.” My throat closes, and swallowing becomes hard. “I fixed your identity problem.”

Sean barks out a laugh. “Yeah?”

“Yeah. You’ll be receiving something in the mail soon. It might make you laugh.”

  “What is it?”

I shake my head. “A surprise.”

He’s thoughtful for a moment. “The canister, what did you do with it?”

  “Destroyed it.”

  “How?”

  I shrug. “Gotta go, brother.”

He punches me in the arm. “Be safe, nerd.”

I chuckle at his teasing. “That’s me.”
