Abigail looked at her friends and then back to her brother. “You are that figure brother. I mean you’re not some statue or something, but you are a hero. You are someone people look up to. But you are not alone anymore, your life isn’t boring like it used to be, and you have people that love you.Eventhough you don’t know much of your past, we are always here for you, and no one will tear us apart,” Abigail said to Lucuris as she wrapped her arms around him squishing Zee a bit between her and her brother.

Lucuris tried to hold his tears back, but he couldn’t he felt overjoyed, even in the darkest of times or events he always had his friends who just wanted him to be fine and to be happy. “Doesn’t matter if we are not blood Abigail, you’re my sister thru and thru. You are always my rock,” Lucuris said to Abigail as he hugged her tightly, just letting his tears burst right out of him. “Damn sorry I’m crying,” Lucuris said out loud as he held his sister tightly.

“Don’t be Lucuris, never be sorry for being human,” Nick said to Lucuris as he stood close to Jessica holding Amaterasu. He always envied Lucuris and Abigail’s relationship. He never really had any family, and felt kind of sad not really being that person who could see their mom or dad every day, but he was thankful for having Abigail and all his friends in his life.

Azabel walked close to Lucuris and tapped him on the back trying to get his attention. “Hey...Lucuris what do we do about these people,” Azabel said to Lucuris as he pointed towards all the unconscious bodies lying on the floor or on the stairs in a deep sleep.

“That’s a pretty good question, what do we do with them? what if demons come and attack here, we can’t just leave them here,” Lucuris said to Joey trying to look for an answer.

“I may have an idea,” Oracle said out loud as he raised his hand up. “Well I did a bit of research and well we can’t just go out and try to go fight Matius or whoever without protecting these people. Maybe I can come up with some sort of protection barrier,” Oracle said to Lucuris as he started to clean his glasses.

  Chapter 29

“Wait you can do that?” Lucuris said to Oracle looking surprised because he thought Oracle couldn’t do magic.

Oracle felt a bit nervous trying to talk with everyone staring at him, but he wanted to help his friends and he felt this was the way to do it. “it’s just a barrier I can create on the floor. We just have to get everyone close to each other and make sure they are within the circle I will draw on the floor. But I’m going to need help and I would like Azabel to help me with this task,” Oracle said out loud as he pointed to Azabel.

“Uh, sure but what do you need me to do?” Azabel said to Oracle trying to get a grasp at what was happening. He was a bit confused as to why would Oracle need him for anything, he didn't have any magic powers or whatever type of supernatural tricks.

Oracle grabbed a necklace from his pocket, and it was in the shape of a cross. He then held it tightly and it began to glow beaming with light. “I will use my own life force to try and keep a field around these people, for as long as I can.But I need you to also read from these documents that I have on my laptop to keep it sealed,” Oracle said to Azabel as he tossed his bag to the Vampire master blogger.

Lucuris and the rest of his friends looked pretty stunned at what was going on. He didn’t know what to make of it, but he saw a new kind of Oracle, as his friend stood there in full confidence. “Wait, what is all of this Oracle, I thought you couldn’t do magic?” Lucuris said to Oracle sounding like a broken record as he stood in front of him staring at the cross he held in his hand.

Oracle looked at his cross for a few moments and then looked at Lucuris. “This is no magic Luc.It is pure energy, the energy that the great one has given me when I was a young boy. The energy I hold within my hand is pure and only used for protection over evil,” Oracle said to Lucuris as he smiled.

Then Oracle looked at everyone else that was staring at him, he then put the cross away as he only meant to show it for demonstration. He looked down for a bit, and just smiled thinking of fond memories with his friends, even in school he always had fun learning and gaining more from the planet he was born on. “The longer I use this protection spell, the more energy it uses inside me. The spell itself drains my life force. It is life that I will lose forever and a risk I am willing to take” Oracle said out loud as he looked into Lucuris’s eyes, and saw sorrow start to sink in one of his best friends’ body.

“No, you are not doing this Oracle, there has to be another way, we will just leave Nick and Abigail to protect these people,” Lucuris said to Oracle as he started to plead with his friend.

Oracle then went close to Lucuris, seeing his eyes swell up, trying to beg him not to do this, and just felt nothing but happiness. “You are and will always be my one of my closest friends,” Oracle said to Lucuris hugging him.

Lucuris felt that his heart was sinking to the bottom of an ocean of dread. His lips drying out, his stomach churning and just the weight pounding down on him as he could feel fear swept over him. “If you die, I’ll never forgive you,” Lucuris said to Oracle as he slapped the back of his head. “You are always a part of us Oracle. You are always in our hearts, and you are not a loose wheel, or a burden to us,” Lucuris said while looking around just staring at the people on the floor.

Jessica placed her helmet on her head, and made her way to where everyone else was at. “Are we ready to do this thing?” Jessica said out loud as she grabbed her sword and slowly stroked the edge of it softly, ready to fight.

“Yeah, I think we are all ready, as much as we can be,” Lucuris said as he let a sigh out. He then grabbed his black crystal from one of his pockets and then reached out for his staff to show up, and awaken in front of him. As soon as he grasped the staff his Black Mage outfit started to crawl around his body, protecting him with its dark magic. “Any ideas how to call Matius out Joey?” Lucuris said to Joey as he saw that his friend was already prepared for battle.

Joey turned around from his friends, then turned towards the people laying on the floor, and stared at them, sleeping what seemed to be an endless dream. Seeing their clothes torn at different areas, some more than others. Seeing the claw marks on their bodies, and blood stains that drenched the floor from their own wounds or other people. “They didn’t deserve this...no one does,” Joey said out loud as his voice started to crack from the anger he felt by the whole event. “We’re going to get this guy. We go out from trying to hide or whatever he thinks, and we show him we aren’t afraid,” Joey said to everyone that was near him, his eyes focused, and his heart ready for a battle.

The forces of evil, and the forces of good were about to collide. Lucuris didn’t know what to expect from Matius, he didn’t know the dark Mages endgame for everything, nor did he want to know. The only thing that Lucuris needed to know was that his home was in danger and he would do anything, and everything in his power to stop it from being attacked. He knew that his life was in danger, and the ones that he loved were at a notable risk too. But he knew that he needed his teammates more than ever for fighting Matius and his dark forces. Even Though he was barely learning to be a Black Mage, he felt that he was part of the dark arts for as long as Joey was.

“At times like this, I really wish I had mom or dad here to help me figure out the best way to go about this,” Lucuris said to himself out loud as he looked at the floor just thinking about everything that was happening, and that was going to happen.

“I’m pretty sure they wouldn’t want you to feel sorry for yourself bro,” Abigail said to Lucuris as she grabbed his left shoulder and smiled at him. She knew that he had come a long way from the person she used to know. Her brother was no longer weak, and defenseless, he was strong and powerful in her eyes. To her, Lucuris looked like some sort of Superhero. “I’m pretty sure if they were here, they would say to give it your all and to fight for what you believe in,” Abigail said to Lucuris as her and the rest of the group started to walk away from Azabel and Oracle and headed ou
tside the college, to call out Matius, and to end this madness once and for all.

  Chapter 30

The sky outside of the college campus was dark and stormy. Lightning kept flashing from different areas of the city, it seemed, and rain started to pour. Being outside in the chaotic weather would give anyone goosebumps, and the chill that would drive down their spine.

“Well, well, I guess Diana didn't accomplish her Job,” A familiar dark voice said as it echoed throughout the skies. The winds were growing faster, and faster by the minute. Lucuris and his friends stood outside with their familiars, and what other weapons they had, waiting for the tide of battle to begin.

“We know you are here Matius, show yourself you coward. You want to fight, let's fight now,” Lucuris said out loud almost screaming to the skies, as he looked around searching for The Dark Warlock, to show himself.

At that moment the skies began to turn a dark purple color, as lightning continued to strike miles away from them. The sky then tore open a bit it seemed, showing nothing but darkness within the cut, but then all of a sudden demons started to pour out of the sky itself, and along with Matius behind them. “I can’t let you ruin the masters plans Lucuris.I can’t kill you, no... but I can kill your friends,” Matius said out loud as he held his staff that looked as dark and twisted as him, his fingernails tapping the top of it as blood poured out of his hands that were decayed. Hands that were almost only bone, as he stood there with his evil grin on his face, just looking at Lucuris and everyone else as tiny little bugs, just waiting to get squashed.

“What do you want with Luc?” Jessica said out loud as she grabbed her shield and pointed her sword point towards Matius and his army of demons.

Matius looked down at Jessica and smiled at her, with his wickedness seeping out of him. “I am not really sure about why the master wants this person. Personally, I would of just ate him up, and sucked on his bones,” Matius said to Jessica as he started to whistle a creepy tune. “But he just really has an eye for Lucuris, something about old times, whatever that means,” Matius said out loud as he started to head towards the ground where Lucuris, Abigail, and the rest were at, to greet them in his own way.

Lucuris saw Matius heading down towards them, and he grabbed his staff from the side of him, and pointed it towards the sky. “Winds, encasing flame, beyond light, beyond darkness,” Lucuris said out loud as a large funnel of fire shot out of his staff and swirled around Matius and his army of demons, encasing them in a large ball of fire that stood in the sky and was turning and turning with great speed.

“how long do you think you can hold them there Luc?” Nick said to Lucuris as he started to take both of his Divine Guns and pointed them towards Matius.

Lucuris still holding his staff in place, could feel his energy getting lower and lower. “I can hold them for a few more minutes, that’s about it, why do you ask Nick?” Lucuris said to Nick as he tried to focus on his Magic attack, staring deep inside the inferno and seeing nothing but flames.

“Great, that’s all I really need bro,” Nick said to Lucuris as he held both of his Divine Guns in both of his hands. He then looked down beside him at his familiar Amaterasu and nodded at her.

Abigail didn’t know what Nick was planning to do, but she didn’t want him to do it alone, by himself. “You’re not going to fight them all by yourself Nick, you are shitting me if you think that,” Abigail said to Nick as she tugged at his hair grabbing him, and pulling him to the floor.

Nick then looked up at Abigail, while rubbing his head, and just stared into her eyes and smiled. “You’re right babe, I’m not doing this alone. Amaterasu, give us flight, let us grace the winds tonight my friend,” Nick said out loud as he grabbed Abigail with one of his hands and went up into the sky close to the ball of flames with Zee and Amaterasu by their sides.

“I’m going up there with them. Lucuris and Jessica, remember work together, try not to get ahead of yourself. Let’s take down this bastard,” Joey said to Lucuris as he grabbed his staff tightly and made his way up towards Nick and Abigail. Joey didn’t know what to expect from some Warlock this powerful, commanding demons from the depths of the underworld, but he knew to just believe in his comrades, his friends.

“Thanks Joey could of really used your help keeping this fire intact...But I guess he’s right, we got to end this,” Lucuris said as he started to look at Jessica. He then let his staff down, releasing Matius and his demons from the fire that was encasing them.

“Don’t worry Hun, were going to do this together,” Jessica said to Lucuris as she looked at him and then turned and looked at Odin. She knew that it was going to be a tough fight for them all. Her thoughts were always with her friends, and how she wanted to protect them all from any danger, but she was a bit excited, she could feel the rush that people always talked to when it came to energy being presented within an area of battle. “We will guide each other this night my love,” Jessica said to Lucuris as she soft but firmly grabbed his chin with one of her hands and pulled him close so she could lay her lips upon his and taste his love as they both embraced each other and could feel the earth stand still when their lips connected as their heart beats slowed down and sounded as one.

Lucuris softly lifted his lips off of Jessica’s, and looked at her with a bit of sadness on him, but most of all he looked worried. He couldn’t help but feel like something bad was going to happen this night. But he knew that he couldn’t stop Jessica not even if he wanted to, but she was strong, all his friends were strong and fierce in their own way.

“You will not win this day Matius, not now or ever,” Lucuris said out loud as he held his staff up and started to float up into the sky where his friends were. He looked at Matius and saw the Warlock just motion one of his hands forward, smiling at Lucuris. “You can bring all the demons you want to attack us, but we have every advantage when it comes to you. You hide in the shadows, we thrive in the light,” Lucuris said out loud as hordes and hordes of demons went flying towards him, and his friends. There were several types of demons in the sky ready to fight. Some of the demons had armor around their bodies, and helmets, almost looking like some twisted knights. There were also demons who held bows made from bones, and some demons who looked to be in the same clothes as Lucuris and Joey.

In other places Lucuris would have been scared to see all these images, maybe even a month ago he would even probably be afraid and helpless and just remain in a fetal position, as his friends fought for him. But he could feel that he wasn’t weak anymore, that he didn’t doubt his actions anymore. “I’m not the same boy you met at the mall back then Matius,” Lucuris said out loud as he started to charge towards the demons.

Matius saw Lucuris charging towards his hordes of demons and couldn't help but laugh a bit. “Oh boy, you are one dumb kid. You think you can defeat us all? I have almost every type of demon in my disposal. It’s pretty easy to make deals with these abominations, all they want is a bit of blood, and to also eat you all up, some just thirst for the glory of a bloody battle” Matius said out loud as he started to laugh at the idea of Lucuris and his friends getting torn to shreds.

“You are still that boy I met so long ago it seems. You just hide behind your mask, meat. No matter how much you try to spread the light, there will always be darkness, especially in your heart. Lucuris my boy, you are full of despair, I can feel it within you. Worrying about losing this battle, the thought of your sister or girlfriend dying, and when that happens, that is when despair will take you over body and soul,” Matius said to Lucuris as he pointed his staff giving the order to his demons to attack The Black Mage.

Lucuris could feel his anger grow, as Matius just kept laughing at him, he tried to charge as fast as he could with Jessica, Nick, and his other friends trailing behind him. “You talk so much about trying to make hope run dry Matius.I don’t get why your master wants me, but if he wants to fight me or go after anyone I care about, then I will stop you and them at all cost,” Lucuris said t
o Matius as he held his staff in front of him flying towards Matius, avoiding his demons who tried to swipe at him, as he passed by. He didn’t have time to deal with the small fry, he wanted to fight Matius himself.

“You dare try and threaten my master,” Matius said to Lucuris as his temper started to grow. He then took his staff and started to twirl it in a circle chanting words in a small whisper.

As Matius kept swirling his staff it started to glow a dark purple, and had flames at both ends of the staff appeared and began to intensify. Lucuris kept flying towards Matius, and didn’t know what spell he was casting but he didn’t care. “Let it be known that you are not The Black Mages master, you may of created our kind, but it is what we do with the power that lights the path to our own lives,” Lucuris said out loud as he started to chant words of the Magi order and started to make his staff glow. With the power of his people from another dimension, and another planet Lucuris trusted them all with his life, he may have never met his people or studied the arts of The Order, but he knew as a Mage, nothing was impossible. That no matter how impossible things may be, or how hard, he would always find a way to make impossible moments, become possible. Because to him there was no failure, and no giving up.
