Michael Sims is the author of six nonfiction books: Darwin’s Orchestra: An Almanac of Nature in History and the Arts; Adam’s Navel: A Natural and Cultural History of the Human Form; Apollo’s Fire: A Day on Earth in Nature and Imagination; In the Womb: Animals; The Story of Charlotte’s Web; and The Adventures of Henry Thoreau. His previous literary collections include The Annotated Archy and Mehitabel; The Penguin Book of Gaslight Crime; Arsène Lupin; Gentleman-Thief; Dracula’s Guest; and The Dead Witness.
