“Nothing like that,” Sam replied. “Simply put, my heart belongs to another.”

Another long silence, during which Charm and I made eye contact, her anger melting. I was certain she was having the same thought I was. Sam was here. She’d lost everyone. But she’d just essentially told us she was in love—but that meant the person she loved had to have died… right? Most likely, and that was gut-wrenching.

Charm took a step toward me, took my hands and kissed me gently. Turning back, she said, “Sorry to distract from our dragon hunt.”

Sam laughed. “Not much of a hunt, but yeah. Stay focused. We’ll be there shortly.”

“How long… exactly?” Charm looked back at me, mischievously, and a glance at Shimmer and the others showed they were thinking the same thing.

“Time has lost meaning for me, for the most part.” Sam paused. “But in words that would make sense to you, about an hour.”

“Perfect!” Charm grabbed my hand, then Shimmer’s, and nodded to the other two to follow. Talking into her comms, she said, “Twitch, do what you need to do to get ready. We’ll ensure Breaker here’s as pumped up as he can be.”

“Yeah, sure,” Twitch replied, apparently already in the zone, working on something, or trying to figure something out.

“You’re sure you want me to come along?” Aegriss asked Charm, but then her eyes went to me, as did Charm’s.

“If you’d like,” I replied, not really sure how to answer this. Charm nudged me from behind, and I corrected myself. “Yes, of course.”

But it was too late, Aegriss had noticed my hesitancy. I wanted to kick myself, but at the same time wanted to shout out that she was a fucking android. All this bullshit about caring if I offended her was ridiculous. Wasn’t it? I was very confused about the whole thing.

Regardless, she put on her best smile and followed. Gale seemed unsure what to think of the matter too, at least, and gave me a look that said ‘hell if I know how to handle this.’ At least, that’s what I took her raised eyebrows to mean.

“Judging by that last bit,” Sam’s voice came back in, “I’m going to block out all audio for a bit. Um… have fun.”

Charm chuckled at that, her hand squeezing mine, and then she slid open the door to one of the rooms, leading us inside as one of her tails rose to caress my cheek while the other moved like a hand beckoning me in. There’d been a time when I might’ve found that weird, but not anymore. Now it was simply part of her touching me, and it turned me on.

Gale watched this, getting into it, and stripped, stepping up behind Charm and straddling her other tail. I hadn’t been expecting this, and judging by the surprise in Charm’s eyes, neither had she. But a second later, that tail was moving back and forth on Gale, caressing her, circling around and pulling her into us so that I could take one of her massive breasts and bend over to kiss it. I looked up to see her and Charm kissing, and had to wonder if Laurel was nearby and what she’d think of this.

I had my answer a moment later when Laurel entered, standing in the doorway, her face clearly showing her confusion.

“Charm, you… mentally called for me?”

Charm pulled away from the kiss and, top now off and breasts exposed thanks to Gale, stood there, waiting.

“I thought this would be a good time to get you involved.”

Laurel looked over at me, still dressed but unable to hide the bulge in my pants. Her eyes roamed over to Gale, then to Aegriss, and back to Charm. “I really don’t think I’m ready.”

“We’ll be gentle,” Gale said, moving a hand around Charm’s waist and down, taking her pants with it.

Charm shuddered, but didn’t look away from Laurel. “I miss you.”

  “Not like this. Sorry.”

Laurel turned and walked off, the door sliding shut behind her.

“Shit.” Charm stared after her for a moment, her face looking crestfallen.

“Do you want to go after her?” I asked.

  “Maybe you should,” Gale offered.

Aegriss pursed her lips, looking at me in a ‘let’s get onto it’ way that I found humorous, but tried not to show it.

“She’s not ready. Nothing I can do to change that,” Charm brushed her pink hair back and paused to caress one of her fox ears in thought. “Fuck, now I’m all—I don’t know, discombobulated.” With a deep breath she turned back to me. “Breaker, I need a good, hard fuck right now, got it? None of this lovey-dovey crap, save that for Gale and Aegriss. Deal?”

I chuckled, not sure if she was joking. When I saw she wasn’t and that she was in fact tearing off her the rest of her clothes, I nodded.

  “Of course. Gale, Aegriss?”

“Get it over with,” Gale chuckled. “I’m a patient woman.”

Aegriss looked let down, but shrugged, watching as Charm stormed over to me, already rubbing herself downstairs to get ready. She shoved me back, then looked down. I was only half hard.

“Dammit.” She leaned forward and pressed her breasts into my face, moving them back and forth as her tails moved over my balls and one caressed my taint. That did it.

“Come on,” I said, pulling my face away and laughing, then took her in for a kiss. She pulled back, wagged a finger, and said, “Quick fuck.”

I nodded, not sure if I emotionally liked this. Judging by the throb in my cock and the way it was so hard it seemed about to explode, it was clear my lower half had no issues.

She lowered herself onto me, closing her eyes and yelping as it went all the way in, and then she was moving, slowly for a few thrusts and then pounding against me, breasts moving back and forth with each thrust.

“Let me help you with that,” Gale said. I turned to see her starting to undress Aegriss. Whoever had designed the android had done a damn good job, taking care to think of every detail, right down to a small mole beneath her left breast. Her nipples were pink like a blonde, in spite of her dark hair upstairs and down.

Seeing that I was watching, Aegriss ran a hand up from her thigh to her breast, then turned Gale around to face me while she kissed Gale on the back of her neck. The whole time, Charm was rocking my cock like she was at a rodeo, eyes clenched and biting her lip. Then, much faster than I’d ever experienced with her, she let out a low moan, gripping onto me, and her pussy clenched a few times, pulling tight around my cock as she orgasmed.

She took a deep breath, opened her eyes, and smiled. “There we go. Thanks.”

“All I did was lie here,” I said, laughing.

“And you were wonderful at it.”

She moved aside. Now Gale was standing there, legs spread, as Aegriss licked her pussy.

“Aegriss, do you want next?” Gale nodded to my cock.

Charm sat back against the wall, hand moving along her thighs, watching as Aegriss nodded, stood, and came over to me. Her eyes roamed across my exposed body, and she smiled as she pulled me to my feet.

“Try this.” Aegriss looked into my eyes as she placed my hand between her legs. Like any regular pussy, she was wet, soft, and damn it felt good. I started caressing her, moving my fingers to find her clit.

She blinked and it was like I was inside of her—not with my cock, but mentally. I could actually feel the sensation, and as she caressed my thigh, barely brushing against the side of my balls with the inside of her hand, a shiver ran up my spine at the same time as the sensation of me rubbing her clit ran through me. I spasmed, pulling back, sure I would come way too fast at that rate.

“You didn’t like it?” she asked.

“I…” I was still trying to catch my breath.

“What? What happened?” Charm asked, eagerly watching us.

“We still have the network connection,” Aegriss explained. “So I simply let him feel what I was feeling.”

“It was intense,” I admitted. “And by that, I mean I fucking loved it. So, I mean… you feel all that?”

Aegriss nodded, then stood. “Maybe it’s… too soon.”

  Before I could
protest, she was up and out the door.

“Shit,” I said, quietly, then waited for the door to fully close. “I offended her again?”

“You can’t live your life worrying about who you’ve offended,” Gale said. Her cool fingers worked their way around my back, massaging me gently.

“Seriously?” Charm scoffed. “No way are you listening to that advice. You and Aegriss have a connection, right? I don’t mean just a sexual one, but a sort of tech one, one that makes her part of the team. She’s proven herself. Do you have to fuck everyone who joins? Of course not, none of us do. But… You’ve gone so far already, it’s like you’re just holding back because she’s not your idea of what a person should be.”

I frowned, lowering my voice. “Because… she’s not. A person, that is.”

“Wow, what the fuck.” Charm glared at me, and when I reached for her, she actually pulled away. “No. No, not after what you just said. Do you know how many supers would always say I wasn’t a person? I wasn’t one of them?”

“It’s different. I mean, you have a heart, a soul.”

“A soul?” She scoffed, standing now, her two tails wrapping around so that each hand could grab one. “I’m different, Breaker. What am I? One of these kitsune? Maybe. Maybe the second tail is just a manifestation of some powers. I don’t fucking know. But I know that when that lady looks at you, it’s with the same damn affection I felt when I first met you. When she speaks, it’s with emotion. So get over your preconceived ideas of what a person’s like, and give her a chance.”

With that, and not even dressed yet, she stormed out of the room.

The door closed and I turned to see Gale staring at me. I frowned, then shrugged. “This is nuts, right?”

“Honestly?” Gale took my hand in hers, running it up her thigh, biting her lip. “She has a point.”

  “Yeah?”

“I think so.” She put my hand on her mound, letting me explore. And I did, with pleasure. She let out a soft moan before leaning back and talking through the pleasure. “We haven’t really had much of a chance to talk, have we?”

  “I suppose we’ve been a bit busy.”

She laughed, watching my finger play with her clit. “Yeah… yeah, we have. Thing is—oh, don’t stop. Thing is, when I was young, still debating whether I’d try for the Citadel or what route I’d take in life, I didn’t know a damn thing about how the world worked. It was strange, the first time I met someone with horns, like Erupa. Totally thought this guy was a monster, maybe a demon or something like you Earthers talk about in your books. But one day, I think it was during this all-day training course, I went to take a bathroom break and found him hiding in a closet, tears on his cheeks. This guy, right? The guy I thought was a fucking demon, was crying because he didn’t fit in, because he felt so alone. Shit, I tell you he didn’t feel alone the rest of that summer… and was the second best lay I’ve ever had, after you of course.”

“A detail I don’t need.” I laughed and plunged two fingers into her to remind her what we were up to.

She licked her lips and laughed, moving her hips into it. “Right, I’m just saying… I was glad I took the time to comfort him, to be there for him. You know, he actually broke out, too. Showed those other pricks what he was made of, and was named squad leader.”

I knelt, kissing the inside of her thigh as I continued to finger her. “Then what? Where is he now?”

She was still smiling, but it faltered… and her eyes took on an intense sorrow.

“Oh, shit.” I stopped, not sure what to do at that moment, so pulled my hand out and just held her. “I’m sorry.”

She nodded. “Died in the line of duty. During one of the early confrontations with a group we later associated with Ranger. One of the groups I’m proud to say I was able to take out in my time with the Citadel military.”

I took her hand, kissed it, and stared into her eyes. “He was lucky to have you.”

She nodded, sniffled, and then smiled again. “At first I was with you on this, but… android or no, Aegriss has feelings. Maybe they were programmed into her, but you’ve seen the way Orion Corp. programs living things, to say nothing of what Twitch can do with her screens. Hell, you with the Lamb powers. It’s—”

“Actually, I’ve been thinking about that,” a voice came from the doorway. We both turned, not having realized it had even opened. Twitch stood there, looking at two pink screens in front of her, not even realizing we were nude, it seemed.

  “About what?” I asked.

“Programming people. And yes, give her a chance, Breaker. Don’t be a dickface.” She stepped in, glanced at me, then my cock, and smiled. “Rain check, but damn, looking good.”

  “Thanks?”

“Programming people?” Gale asked, wrapping her arms around me from behind. Her breasts pressed against me and it felt great—warm, unlike her hands.

“Yeah, um… Get dressed.” Twitch glanced at my cock again, took a deep breath, and then turned away. “Hurry, before I change my mind.”

“That’d be so bad?” I asked, feeling a surge of blood down there.

Gale must’ve sensed it, because she ran her hand down my stomach, her cool fingers caressing my cock as it started to grow.

“Seriously, let’s go,” Twitch said. “I want to try something, to test it out before we face the dragon. And we don’t have much time left, with the way you all fuck.”

With regret, I moved Gale’s hand from my cock, gave her voluptuous breasts another kiss and then moved up to her mouth and lingered there for a moment before saying, “I guess we should?”

“I guess so.” Gale chuckled, then she grabbed me, pulling me in for a kiss. When she released me, she said, “think we can do quicker than Charm did?”

Since I still hadn’t come and wanted this fucking bad, I nodded enthusiastically, knelt, and pushed her up against the wall. She grabbed my cock and thrust it into her, eyes going wide when it was in, and then we were fucking like rabbits.

“Fuck, fuck!” she shouted, and then pushed off the wall, pulling me down on top of her in a way that made me worry she was going to break my dick. But we landed without incident, and she had me on top, telling her to do it, to cum inside her, and fast.

I didn’t need to be told twice, and lifted her legs for better depth. Grabbing her thick thigh turned me on. Kissing it as I thrust, more so. It wasn’t that I liked my women skinny or with a bit more meat, but I appreciated the diversity. She started breathing heavy, eyes rolling back, so I went for it, in and out real fast so there would be no way that orgasm wouldn’t hit both of us, and it did.

The whole thing couldn’t have lasted more than a minute. We were lying there, caressing each other, kissing, when Twitch’s voice came from our clothes, over the comms.

  “Seriously, you two… Come on.”

We laughed and quickly got dressed, then headed back to the bridge. The others were waiting for us. Andromida glanced over at us with an amused smile, and Aegriss stared at me with large, hurt eyes. The others were right. I was at least going to make more of an effort. I felt like a real ass, but I felt like even more of a dick for the thought that still stuck in the back of my mind—the thought that she shouldn’t feel this way, and I shouldn’t have such concerns over an android. Fuck, I wanted to kick myself for that thought, even though I knew it was true. A glance at Charm reminded me why I needed to change my way of thinking on the matter though, especially with her two tails.

There was no longer really a question of whether she was human or different. Maybe there was for some, maybe it was possible for the extra tail to simply be a manifestation of her desire to be something more, cultivated through her inner core or whatever. Not for me, though. I was certain she was kitsune, whatever that meant. An alien race that had once come to Earth, long ago, leading to their appearance in some forms of pop culture and myth? I didn’t know. But if I was going to love her, which I had no doubts about in the slightest, I needed to listen to her poin
t about Aegriss, get over whatever bias I had, and make an effort.

But at the moment, I was damn curious what Twitch had to show us.

  14

“Okay,” Twitch addressed us all. “I know we agreed to wait, to not test my ability to take on other skills—”

“You didn’t.” I stood there, staring in shock. “I thought you were the one who said how risky it could be.”

“Right, sure.” She smiled, licked her lips, and then shrugged. “But I had to know. If we’re going up against a dragon and then defending Earth against an alien army and supervillains, we’re essentially already at the point where we have to try everything.”

“She’s right,” Harp said through her machine.

“Just a little something, for now,” Twitch replied. “I was thinking, if there’s a dragon, what’s the skill that would be most useful?”

“Water?” I asked, turning to Gale because of her powers with ice and the elements.

“To put out the fire?” Twitch laughed. “No, I was thinking more about protection-wise, so Andromida and I tested out her blue shield skill…”

“Again, without checking with the rest of us,” I pointed out.

Twitch rolled her eyes. “This part was easy—instead of changing my power, I was able to analyze her code and see how she did it, and sort of replicate the code in an external sense. So instead of my earlier point about rivers and moving around stones, I think I can simply add another river.”

“And again, none of that’s making sense,” Charm said, though she was looking at Laurel longingly, so in fairness to Twitch she was rather distracted.

“Put simply, I can make this happen like I do with your buffers. Instead of simply upping your defenses, I can make the blue light bubbles sort of appear over each of your bodies for a limited time.” She paused, looked at Harp, who nodded. “For example.”

Suddenly, that same blue light appeared that I’d first seen back on the space station during my very first interaction with Andromida. While then it had been a blur and formed a bubble around us, here it was more like looking at Harp standing in a room of blue light, but it formed around her like an extra layer of translucent clothes that covered her entirely.
