Baking with Magic

“Dear, sweet sister, what shall I bake? A cake too sweet, a biscuit too cheap. A pie it shall be. Made with all my love to hate. Will that be too good for him, d’ya think?” she sang out, flitting around the kitchen.
Her sister sat at the table, sipping her tea, chuckling and shaking her head.
“Now you’re rhyming? You really have it in for this guy, don’t you?”
“Rhyming makes the magic stick. The dessert will be his downfall, it will do just the trick.” She brandished a wooden mixing spoon.
“So shall it be, my sister dear.”
A.R. JOHNSTON is a small-town girl from Nova Scotia, Canada. She is known to write mostly urban fantasy, though she goes where the muses lead her and you never know where that may be. She is a lover of coffee, good tv shows, horror flicks, and a reader of good books. She pretends to be a writer when real life doesn’t get in the way. Pesky full-time job and adulting!
