Richard said there are other developments I need to bring you up to date on. We are advised the joint chiefs have ordered the mobilization of army and marine reservists. One division on the east coast another in the Louisiana area, and also the infantry division out of the Washington Oregon area. We are unable to determine the purpose of this call up. Also troop ships returning overseas units are due to start arriving Tuesday at the new York and Charleston ports on the east coast and at the san-Diego and Oakland terminals on the west coast. We must be prepared to meet this threat if the general decides to use them against us. Goldie asked what steps are being taken in other areas to meet this threat? Richard said we have set up a joint command of all our people west of the Missouri, some two million members will be placed under their command, and readied for deployment should the reservists and returning troops be used against us. Their area of operations will be to engage active and reserve units from the san-Diego Oakland port areas should they move against us.

Also, we have established an eastern command that will deploy some two million members on a line east of the Ohio, Kentucky, Tennessee, Alabama. They are preparing to meet and stop any deployment of regular troops from the new York and Charlestown ports. The objective of both commands will be to engage federal troops should they be launched against us. He added these call ups will not interfere with our plans to take control of the bases out west or your operation at the air base. Richard said the eastern and western commands will be commanded by retired generals and other senior officers and organized like any regular army units. Other forces such as yourselves and those taking the bases out west will be assigned to the central command for special operations where needed. Thus after the bases are under our control regular units will move and assume control freeing those like yourselves for special assignments.

Which leads me to this central region comprised of Tennessee, Kentucky, Alabama, Indiana, Illinois, Minnesota, Michigan, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, and Ohio. This sector will be commanded by retired general Adams. and other former senior officers. This will be a force of three million men. They are going to be alerted and moved to the northern border areas to take on the united nations forces should they be foolhardy enough to interfere in our national affairs. Also in the western and eastern sectors as well as our central region as our forces move they will no doubt encounter small national guard and reserve units with united nations advisors attached. Those units will be dispersed with the least amount of casualties possible for these are our countrymen. However, in each sector when united nations personnel are found they will be transferred to our area and interned as prisoners of war until our fight has ended.

I have been asked to continue as national director for all militia units. Our friend Col. Wallace and others will be my operations staff. I have assured the other commands that you will serve as commander of all special operational forces and will serve as our national spokesperson in any future discussions that arise. Additionally we will be responsible for the confinement and security of all detainees taken in the coming months.

Mac spoke up to ask how soon should our people expect to organize for the move north. Richard said should the UN commit their forces they will come thru the eastern Wisconsin and western Michigan borders. At this time our forces from the states of Minnesota, Wisconsin, Michigan, and Pennsylvania have been alerted. If the UN army moves, our forces from those states can be in position to meet them within hours. Goldie said Wisconsin and Michigan can meet them head on while Minnesota and Pennsylvania can flank the un forces. Exactly, Richard said, giving us ample time to move all our forces north to reinforce them if necessary.

Richard added, taking over the air base now will serve us well. It will give us air strike capability should we need it, but even more importantly the supplies of food and equipment at the base will be available for our forces. The base can become a staging point for those coming out of the southern states should we need to call them up. Also once we have the base under our control we can use the facilities here as the internment camp for our current esteemed prisoners and those to come. My thinking is once the base is secured the captain and his men will move in with sufficient numbers from our sector to maintain security for the pilots and crew members. We will have one brigade to hold the base in addition to pilots and ground crews. That will free you up to move back to your area with your men until needed somewhere else.

Goldie said that sounds good to me. If my people have to move north I want to be with them. It looks like everything has been planned and we are ready for an all out battle from coast to coast if it comes to that. Richard said we are prepared and our command personnel have the knowledge and experience necessary to lead our patriots if war can’t be avoided. My people will be in contact with General Sheridan as soon as the operations are concluded tomorrow night. He will know then what his choices are and that it is decision time. Now he said, I must return to headquarters where I will await your call from the base. He took Goldie’s hand and said yours has been the voice of reason and courage from the start, God be with you till we meet again.

After Richard and the others had departed Mac said Top lets have a Pepsi and roast a hot dog while we go over our operation again with the others. The men sat around the fire relaxed and discussed the coming operation. Goldie said regarding the operation tomorrow night, if you have any questions or concerns now is the time to bring them up. Tim, James, and Joshua all answered the same saying they have gone over the plans with their commanders, our men are well equipped with weapons and ammunition, and all are confident they will reach their objectives. Tim said my biggest problem was in convincing the drivers they had to leave the area and return home as soon as their passengers are offloaded. The boys agreed, no one wants to be left out of the mission.

Tim, James, and Joshua all said our drivers know the routes and the location to drop their men off. All said they would be in the lead vehicles and conceal the men as they arrived. Goldie told James and Joshua once all your men have arrived and are in place contact me and advise of same. Now it’s Tim’s for you men to go, meet with your commanders, and tell them it’s a go. Everyone get a good nights rest and I’ll see you at the base tomorrow. The men stood up and Goldie took Times hand then gave his sons a hug and told them, tell your families I love them, and you will be alright. As Tim and the boys got into their vehicles and pulled away Mac said we’ll get this done Goldie they’ll be ok. They sat by the fire for a while until Goldie said well old friend lets turn in and get some rest. Mac said see you in the morning top and they retired for the night.

All was quiet when he awoke so he took his toothbrush towel and soap and walked down the trail to the falls. Afterwards he walked over to the gravesite and sat for a moment. Finally he rose and walked back to the camp to find Mac and the old squad members were all seated by the fire along with Brian and the others. Mac said just in time Top for scrambled eggs and coffee.

The men all sat by the fire for some time having their morning coffee and discussing the coming operation. All were in good spirits for the hope was that their actions would make the generals realize either government must be returned to the people and a free America restored or the threat of all out war between the militia and military would become a reality.

Mac told the others this should make the Generals understand we are a united people and are willing to fight to take our government back. Goldie said the general is a smart man. I believe he will choose the side of freedom over power and prestige. We will know soon he added.

He turned to Brian and asked, are your men ready to take charge of our detainees and safeguard the camp once we depart. Brian assured him all would be taken care of as you advised, and that he had alerted his men at home to be prepared to back you up at the base if it should become necessary. I have the five thousand men and transportation on standby who can be there in an hour if needed. Mac looked at his old squad members then turned to Goldie and said Top, nothing to do now but rest up for the
job ahead.

He was awakened by Brian and told the others are all out by the fire. The cook has some vegetable soup, hamburgers, and hot chocolate fixed. He rose and walked over to the fire where the others were and Mac said dig in Top the chows great. Tim and the boys called in, they are all set and will start arriving at their drop off points as planned. I told Tim we would be there to greet him at seven. Brian advised, Richard called to say it’s a go at the other locations. After having lunch the men sat round the fire relaxing until finally Goldie stood up saying time to mount up and move out.

The men donned light packs shouldered their weapons and boarded their vehicles. Goldie and Mac’s driver pulled out onto the road followed by the other two vehicles. Passing thru the small towns along the way Mac remarked how few people were out. Yeah Goldie said, it’s six thirty and these little towns close down early. He told the driver pull in to the left just beyond the underpass coming up. You can drop us off there then return to our camp.

They dismounted their vehicles and Goldie said move quickly now into the woods where we will wait for Tim and his troops. There was probably fifty acres of wooded park set aside by the air base for their members and children to enjoy and it made an ideal staging place for their men. Dusk was beginning to set in as they waited for Tim and his men to arrive.

They didn’t have long to wait before Tim and his convoy of vehicles arrived dropping off their human cargo before departing. The process was uneventful and finally Tim said that’s the last one. They turned and walked into the woods where the men had been assembled in battalion sized elements.

As they walked past each unit Goldie and Mac stopped to talk to the commanders, shaking their hands and thanking them for their courage in responding to the call of liberty. Moral was high and the commanders knew their unit objectives and were ready to move when ordered to do so. After reviewing the troops they walked back to their position where they could observe the main base entrance. The radio operator advised James and Joshua both called in to report all is ready. Goldie looked at Tim and said our squad goes in first to clear the entrance. Give us one minute then you follow us in. He told his radio operator contact James and Joshua, advise 2100 hours is a go.

He looked at Mac and their old squad members and said it’s time follow me. They went out of the woods and moved quickly towards the guard shack at a run. The gate guard was caught by surprise and offered no resistance. He told the men leave him here Tim and his men will care for him. They were moving fast now towards the commanders headquarters and Mac said Tim and his men are in and moving towards their objectives Goldie.

Finding the command building locked Goldie placed a strip of C4 around the handle lit the fuse and moved away. As the doors were blown inward they rushed into the building where those inside were in a state of confusion. They quickly surrounded the unarmed officers tying their wrists and rendering them harmless without any real opposition. Gunfire and explosions could be heard coming from the west side of the base in the supply complex where James was moving in and now gunfire was coming from the north where Joshua was moving into the aircraft and munitions areas.

The General commanding the base demanded the meaning of this intrusion. Goldie said we are taking over this installation and we have sufficient numbers to do so. You are our prisoners. He looked at the dozen men dressed in civilian attire and asked the general who are these associates. The general responded these are representatives of the United Nations here on an informational visit. Goldie laughed and said well here is some information for them, they are my prisoners and if they want to see their families again they will do exactly as I say. Which one is the senior official, and does he speak English. The general pointed to a middle aged person and said this is the senior member.

Goldie stepped before the man and ordered, give me your identification and tell all the others to do likewise. The man started to object and found himself suddenly thrown over a table and his badges removed from his jacket. Mac said now tell the others to do as ordered and hand over their credentials. The official spoke to the others in English and advised them to furnish their identification. Goldie looked them over then told Mac, have the men tie their hands and feet and set them in those chairs along the wall.

He looked at the base commander and asked him why is an American general sleeping with these foreign bastards? Were you going to help them set up their concentration camps here? Tie them up and put them with the others until we decide what to do with them. He looked at his men and ordered, keep them here until we return and if they make one false move shoot them.

He told the radio operator come with Mac and I then went outside the building where occasional small arms fire could be heard from both the west and northern sectors. Tim’s men had set up a perimeter around the command building and all was quiet in the direction of the logistics center. The northern and western sectors were quiet now as well.

Mac said it sounds like things are under control at all locations. Goldie told the radio operator to contact Tim and the Boys and get a status report. Tim came on first reporting the communications, logistics, and medical areas are under our control. He was followed by James who reported the ammunition supply center and guard complex are under control. Joshua reported the munitions storage centers and all aircraft and hangers have been taken.

Goldie told his radio operator, advise them all to secure their areas then have a detail come with them and bring all prisoners to our location at the command center. Also advise them to transport all wounded and deceased to our location as well. Within moments he was advised all have been contacted and will be en-route to our location. Mac said well Goldie it went pretty much as you thought it would, they were not prepared for a local ground force attack. We shouldn’t have suffered many casualties.

Thirty minutes later Tim and his men arrived followed by James and Joshua a few moments later. All reported they had lost no personnel but they had a few men with minor wounds and some may need attention. Mac advised have a detail take all the injured to the base hospital and any of ours who need care as well. After they had left Goldie said now lets take the others inside where their command staff are being held. The base commander was visibly shaken at the appearance of his airmen being being marched into the building.

Once all were inside Mac ordered them to fall in for headcount and inspection, and said bring their commander here as well. After a count was taken Goldie told the general we have three hundred thirty seven of your men here and there were twenty eight others taken to the hospital for medical care. Be advised our purpose was to take command of this base and all aircraft, munitions, and supplies. We have no desire to harm anyone if it can be avoided.

He added, all your personnel who reside in quarters that are separated by fencing from the main base will be released and escorted to their housing areas. Those who reside off post will be escorted to their vehicles and permitted to leave this base under escort and return to their homes. He advised the General; you Sir, and your staff, and all UN personnel shall be held until arrangements are made for your release. He told the guard detail take charge of your prisoners then turned to Mac, Tim, and his sons and said come with me.

Outside He told them As soon as the others are released from the hospital have them brought here then all enlisted personnel and civilian workers will be allowed to return to their families. We will show them we are honorable men who keep our word. He asked them, did you post a guard detail at all the entrance gates as you moved in and was told all gates were secured. Perimeter guards have been established as well and the others have been told to stand down for the time being. Our commanders will see that things run smoothly while we occupy this base. It was now 0300 hours in the morning. The operation had taken six hours from start to finish. Mac wondered how the other operations were going and Tim said well why don’t we open the communication systems and see if its on the news.

He walked over to the large TV monitor and turned it on the public channel. A commen
tator was excitedly talking about a terrorist uprising taking place across the country. The total picture is not yet known he said, but what we do know is that organized forces have attacked air bases in Texas and New Mexico. It is reported that militia forces are in control of a New Mexico air base and heavy fighting is taking place as army troops battle militia forces trying to take over a Texas helicopter base.

Mac said He knew that base would be the toughest one to take due to the number of army personnel stationed there. Goldie agreed but added he was sure those in charge were aware of that possibility and would have planned for that by having sufficient forces to get the job done. It may take a little longer but our people will prevail.

Militia Gains Control Of Air Space

Maybe we should contact Richard and let him know things are under control here. The radio man said I’ll get him for you and in a moment Richard came on asking how are things there. He was advised the operation was successful and everything was quiet now at the base. Great job Goldie when you first raised the idea of taking the base some had concerns but you and your men came thru as I knew you would.

Mac told Richard we have a dozen UN prisoners along with the command personnel we will hold here for you. But the enlisted men are going to be escorted off base and released because They didn’t put up any resistance to speak of. Richard agreed with that decision.

He added, hold the command and UN personnel until I and the others arrive. We have five thousand men in addition to the pilots, crew members, and maintenance personnel who will be coming to take charge of the base and prisoners. But we have twenty thousand more who can be there within an hour if they are needed. This will free up you and your people if needed elsewhere.
