Club Zombie 1-4

Then what? What if he didn’t accept the mating bond?
“Hey, Uli. Geez, I’m sorry I didn’t want to make you jump out of your skin.” How did Uli’s cousin, Kai, sneak up on him while on horseback?
Uli collected himself. “Hey, Kai. Jaz.”
“Hi, Ulrich. Kai, how about if I take your horse back to the stable? You have a couple of hours before your class.” Damn, Kai’s mate could double as a mind reader. Jaz’s intuition paid off, because he always seemed to know when Uli needed to speak to his cousin alone.
“You sure?” Kai tilted his head to the side and kissed Jasper.
Ah, that completeness was what Uli longed for; why couldn’t he have it? Why didn’t he have that? It made no sense.
“Of course. I can even drive you in. I have some errands to do in town and we can eat dinner at the café you like.”
“Cool.” Kai leaned in for another kiss, slid off the saddle, and handed the reins back to Jasper. “Love you. See you soon.”
“Love you too.” Jasper nodded to Uli and said, “Catch you later.”
Kai meandered over and sat. He watched Jasper go the entire way back to the stables.
“I see you’re still goo-goo eyes for him,” Uli teased.
Shrugging, Kai smirked. Uli refused to guess what put the smile on his cousin. When he turned his attention back to Uli, the grin left his face. “What’s up with you?”
Uli considered denying he was a mess, but his cousin wasn’t stupid and he needed to talk. “Cut’s my mate.”
“Yeah, you’ve said.” Kai never said much about the revelation except the first time. He’d expressed his shock over Alex not being his mate. Apparently, everyone believed there was something going on between the two of them. Kai adored Alex and had mentioned more than once he’d wished Ulrich and Alex had been mates. Uli kept his yearning to himself.
If wishes came true, Uli would have been mated to his apartment-mate as soon as they’d met. Alex took Uli’s breath away on every level possible, and he was the best friend anyone ever had. Guilt slashed cut across Uli like a physical wound. He needed to put his crush for Alex on ice. It was time.
“Are you sure?” Kai frowned in disappointment that was echoed in his tone.
“Well, as of last night… I’m positive.” Uli’s words died in his mouth. He didn’t want to go into specifics with his cousin.
“Oh. Right. Okay.” Kai nodded but stared at the pond. Several ducks made attempts at enticing Kai to throw nonexistent food to them. “Does Alex know?”
“Is that really your first concern? Alex?” Being mad at Kai was safe and easy. Arguing with his cousin felt like slipping into a comforting bit of the past when things seemed simpler and he knew which end was up.
“Isn’t it yours?” his cousin countered.
“Yes. No. I mean… I have a mate. Cutter is my mate.” Perhaps if he said it enough he’d erase what happened with Alex last night. No wonder Alex didn’t want to speak to him this morning. He’d verified Cutter was his mate, and then he’d rubbed off on Alex, acting like a dog in heat. Who did that?
“Why are you upset?” Kai’s even voice made him pissed.
He inhaled. When he blew out the air sounding exactly like a tire deflating. The only anger left focused on himself.
“You’re going to tell me sooner or later.” Kai jerked his head around. “Did Cutter or that thundercloud kid hurt you? I swear to God, I’ll—”
“No, nothing like that.”
Kai squinted and frowned. “Then what?”
“How did you feel when you figured out Jaz was your mate?”
“Um….” Kai blushed, coughed, and stared out at the pond. “Overwhelmed. Thrilled. Connected. At peace. And a whole lot of other things we don’t need to discuss.”
Exactly how Ulrich imagined it would be.
After a pause, Kai turned toward him. The examination became too close for comfort. “Why? How do you feel?”
“I.…” A million emotions and thoughts ran through him, but one floated to the top. “Incomplete.”
“Incomplete?” Kai asked like that would be impossible.
He ignored Kai’s bugged-eyed, openmouthed expression. “Shouldn’t I be whole?”
“You haven’t done the blood exchange yet, right?”
“Right.”
“So, um, that’s got to be it.”
Still, it wasn’t normal to be in love with Alex and totally drawn to Storm at the same time while he was falling in love with Cutter. Nothing made sense.
“Does Cutter know about the whole zombie-mate thing?”
“Nope.” Somehow, he’d bet anything the exchange wasn’t the issue.
“You’re probably worried about that.” Great, now even Kai grasped at straws.
He shrugged.
All Uli wanted right now was to go to Alex. No! He had to get away from here.
He stood and ended the discussion. “Hey, don’t you have to get ready for class?”
Checking his phone, Kai replied, “Shit! You’re right. Are you okay?”
“Yeah, yeah, I’ll be fine.” His lie rolled off his tongue.
“Oh, make sure you see Cutter soon. Usually until the exchange you need the medicine more often.”
Uli cracked up. He might make the worst mate in the history of mates and his world crumbled around him, but his cousin was a riot! “You do know referring to essence as medicine is beyond ridiculous.”
“Don’t give me shit!” Kai chuckled. “See Cutter soon.”
“I will.” Uli accepted a warm hug, and for a moment, daydreamed they were back in Germany in the vineyard. His thoughts tripped to his father, and he decided being here was better for both of them.
Uli almost sat back down, but opted instead to trudge across the manicured lawn to a wooded area. The shade lowered the temperature, and even though it was warm for fall it was getting chilly.
He walked without a destination. When lethargy struck, he found a big tree and sat against the scratchy bark. Exhaustion claimed him, barely able to hold up his head. He’d rest for a bit.
Uli didn’t know when the day had gotten dark. The shadows were no longer cast by the sun but by the glow of the moon. He should head back, but he didn’t have the energy to move. Maybe if he rested a bit longer. He’d put his head against the tree trunk and close his eyes… just for a minute or so.
“Uli! Uli!” Something shook him, and his pocket buzzed.
He groaned. “Stop.”
Uli tried to push away whatever was disturbing him, but failed. He inhaled to gather strength and went hard from the delicious scent. Hoping for mercy, he scrambled toward the familiar warmth. “Mmmm,” he whimpered.
“Uli, it’s me—Alex.” The delicious-smelling heat source talked. His voice sounded deeper than usual, but his arms belonged wrapped around Uli.
“It is you.” He opened his eyes to see his stunning best friend. Uli might be drunk. “So pretty…. King of the Fae. I didn’t think any real person could look so beautiful.” Uli didn’t stop himself from pushing his face into the longish, reddish hair and inhaling.
“Red? Wrong color, but I like it. You mad at me?” He yawned.
“No, Uli.” Alex’s voice was deep.
Alex’s smell ignited an internal drive. Uli wanted to do things.
He squirmed around in the strong arms cradling him until he was face first in Alex’s lap. Heaven.
Forcing his heavy arms to move his hands, Uli’s fingers shook with effort as he eased down Alex’s zipper. Those metal teeth were what separated him from what he craved. Needed. Alex wasn’t a want but a necessity.
Alex moaned as his cock came popping out of his jeans. He might have been talking; Uli didn’t mind, even if he couldn’t understand the words.
Alex could talk. Uli would suck. This seemed to be a logical compromise in his lust-addled mind. He reached out and took Alex’s dick in his hand.
The cock of his dreams, so velvety hard and right in front of h
im. A bead of precome slipped out of the opening. Uli hesitated and peeked up at Alex. “Okay?”
Alex nodded and guided Uli’s mouth forward.
Uli licked at the tip and sweetness exploded on his tongue. “Mmmm.” Another drop appeared, so he licked at the slit, hoping for more.
He didn’t want to take this slow; he desired Alex this instant. He took slipped over the tip, and lapped his tongue around the length. Lavishing the flesh with flicks of his tongue, he savored Alex’s flavor. Guided by instinct and internet porn, he sucked Alex’s cock.
Shifting, he found a tree root sticking half out of the ground, and rubbed across the rough bark. It wasn’t much, but the friction stimulated him through his jeans.
His entire core revolved around tending to Alex and drinking his essence. He required Alex.
Uli bobbed his head as fast as his uncoordinated movements allowed.
Long fingers wrapped in Uli’s hair. Alex cried out and filled Uli’s mouth.
As soon as the Alex’s taste touched his tongue, Uli’s entire body trembled. He hollowed his cheeks and gave long sucking pulls. He ingested Alex’s fluids, and his own left his body in a joyful orgasm.
Uli swallowed and he came.
Energy flooded him. Confusion and exhaustion fled, leaving him invigorated and with Alex still in his mouth. When Alex was finished, Uli pulled back licked his lips for any escape drops.
He glanced up at Alex, who was outlined in the moon’s glow, and the question that came out of his mouth was “Why is your hair red?”
It was gorgeous on him, but why did he color his hair?
Alex grinned, ignoring his irrelevant question. “You know we’re mates, right?”
Uli hesitated. He reviewed the evidence. He loved Alex, he orgasmed when he tasted Alex’s essence, and now he sensed the same bonds that tied him to Cutter linking him to Alex.
“Yes.” Elation spread through Uli. “Yes, we are!”
“I love you.” Soft and low, Alex’s declaration made him overjoyed.
Every impossible thing Uli had hoped for now was within reach.
Ulrich grabbed Alex around his waist to hug him tight. He tucked his head into Alex’s torso. His position made him instantly aware of his mate’s naked parts. Uli tried to ignore the still-hard dick now inches from his mouth. “I love you too.”
Alex tipped Uli’s chin up. “Hey, eyes up here when you say that.”
Uli giggled. “I love you. I do. I always have, and I am glad you’re my mate.” A weight lifted off him that he hadn’t betrayed Cutter.
Alex didn’t need an invitation to give him a kiss. His lips were soft yet demanding and they satisfied something inside of Uli. Alex was dominant yet amazingly loving. Uli got swept away.
Eventually, Uli drew back to ask, “So Cut’s your mate too.” The thought of sharing didn’t bother him at all. Sharing a mate with Alex would be perfect.
He nodded.
Was it too much to hope for— “What about Storm?”
“Storm’s ours too.”
Fucking A… being a zombie was awesome! That boy was smoking hot. “Now I don’t have to feel guilty about ogling his ass. Have you seen it?”
Chuckling, Alex beamed at him. “Yes, I have. I’m glad you don’t find Storm to be a difficult burden.”
Hell no. “Not at all. But how do you know? Did you…?”
Alex shook his head. “No, we haven’t. I don’t know how to describe it, other than I know.”
“Hey, maybe you’re a better psychic than me. One of us needs to figure out what we should do.” Uli tried to get off the hard ground, but when he moved, he got reminded where his sticky satisfaction ended up. “Ew!”
Alex smiled but didn’t laugh at Uli’s predicament. “Let me text Kai so he knows I found you. I should’ve told them you were okay before….” Alex zipped himself back in his jeans and held out a packet of tissues.
“Thanks.” Uli took tissues, stood up, and cleaned what he could. “You were a little busy with my mouth.”
He licked his lips yet again, hoping for a bit more of Alex, but sadly found none.
He was glad they were in the shadows because he was positive his face heated when Alex inhaled and groaned. Alex must have been reacting to male essence all over Uli. Two buzzes interrupted what Alex was going to say, making him laugh.
“What?” Uli shoved the soiled tissue wad in his pocket. He hoped the distraction allowed him to go soft, otherwise walking back would be rather uncomfortable.
“Your cousin is thrilled. But he’s less than thrilled to find out Storm will be a permanent fixture.”
“Yeah, well, he’ll deal.” He’d get used to the guy.
“Does he always call him Raincloud?”
Uli giggled. “On good days.”
“Kai will adjust. I love you very much.” Alex pacified him with another one of his magical kisses.
Uli never tired of hearing that proclamation. Standing next to him, something appeared different. “Wait…. Are you taller?” Alex stood at least seven inches taller than he’d been. Wow, he was even muscular. How did these changes happen overnight? “What’s going on?”
As Alex explained, Uli didn’t try to understand the whole secondary dominant zombie transition thing. He just accepted what Alex told him. Clearly, there was a logical explanation for an illogical situation, but he’d learn to accept the crazy. He was a zombie, after all.
Studying his mate proved to Uli that Alex was the same—only alpha intensified. He touched the newly sculpted muscles of Alex’s arm. His arms had doubled in mass from yesterday. “So when you woke up this morning, you’d grown to this size?”
Alex nodded. Pushing his glossy red mane over his shoulder, he smiled at Uli in the same way he always had. “My clothing from last night got shredded.”
“And your hair? I mean, I like it and all, but did all your hair turn red?” Ulrich dropped his gaze to Alex’s pants. He didn’t remember noticing any hair down there when his mouth was occupied.
Alex may have been bigger, more dominant, but the moon’s shine showed he still blushed virginal red. “No longer there.”
“Like, as in, just gone?”
“Yeah,” Alex squeaked.
Uli loved when his best friend got embarrassed. But when bigger alpha Alex got flustered it was even cuter. He pushed to clarify. “Smooth.”
“Uli!” Alex’s deep rumbling voice excited Uli.
“When you say my name, all dominant and shit—”
Alex shoved him against a tree and captured his lips. No longer flustered, he seemed to be hell-bent on teaching Uli exactly what he meant when he said, dominant zombie.
The kiss threatened to delay them further, but Uli allowed himself to enjoy his mate kissing the hell out of him. They needed to figure out a strategy to break the news to Cutter and Storm. They should probably….
Trying to speak became useless. He melted and gave himself over. “Mmmm.”
They should…. He turned his head to break the kiss.
Alex slid his mouth along Uli’s throat. Damn, that was hot. Hungry nips led a trail to Ulrich’s shoulder. Alex sucked a mark onto his skin.
Mine! Oh, fuck! Uli wanted his mate.
Alex hauled Uli’s arms over his head, making Uli whimper.
“Keep them there,” he instructed in his toppy voice. He dropped to his knees to stare up at Uli.
Uli froze with his arms above his head, leaning back on the tree, waiting for Alex’s pleasure.
Alex busied his fingers and opened Uli’s zipper. Groaning, he rubbed his face into Ulrich’s semi-cleaned but still sticky crotch. “God, you smell good. I need you to feed me.” Alex snaked his tongue out and licked Uli’s shaft.
Hell, yes! Uli wanted his mate to drink him in, wanted to provide what Alex required. The fact he’d get off was an added benefit. Fuck! His eyes slid shut as Alex took him halfway in.
Alex trailed his hot mouth up and teased the head of Uli’s cock. He pulled back to
whisper a quick, “Mine.”
Uli dropped his hands from above his head and danced his fingers through the wealth of red strands, guiding Alex’s mouth back down over him. “Take what you need. I’m yours.”
Alex groaned around Ulrich’s cock, which sent delicious vibrations, but what followed was off the charts. He paused for a moment to growl, “Hands up.”
Uli put his hands back over his head and was rewarded with sweet suction. It was perfection, but he wouldn’t last long.
Alex tugged Ulrich’s jeans farther down his legs, then cupped Ulrich’s ass and dragged him closer, forcing him in deeper into his mouth.
Uli hit the back of Alex’s throat and felt Alex’s slight gag, followed by a swallow. Sweet mother of mercy, he couldn’t hold out. Another rise and fall of Alex’s determined lips dragging up and down on his cock made Uli cry out, filling Alex’s mouth full with his essence.
Alex’s moan of pleasure escaped around the swallow.
Uli laughed out loud and came to a joyous conclusion, knowing his orgasm brought Alex to completion with him. He probably grinned like an idiot and his pants were around his knees, because he had three mates and his cock was blessedly limp.
“Argh!” Alex complained as he stood.
When Uli pulled his pants back on, he dropped to his knees in front of Alex and stopped him from redoing his pants. “Yeah, I know the feeling.”
Uli licked him clean. He restrained his lustful groan and found every last drop Alex had spilled. “Better?” he asked as he zipped temptation away.
“Yes.” Alex reached to help him off his knees. He held Uli’s hand, leaned toward him, closed his eyes, and sighed. “We need a plan.”
“What? Oh right!” Ulrich compelled his eyes to focus on something other than Alex’s full red lips when his talented tongue swiped out to moisten them. “How can we tell Cutter and Storm they’re zombie mates?” Uli concentrated on putting one foot in front of the other as he headed back to Club Zombie.
Alex joined him. “No clue. How crazy are they going to think we are?”
“Extremely.” Uli stopped. He stood on tiptoes to press a kiss on Alex’s pursed lips. “But your transition will help them to understand.”
