  About

Tito and Ronin have always known they were destined to share a mate. Nothing is stronger than a bond between twin bear shifters. Well, except maybe a hot curvy veterinarian named Zoe.

While in a two-year-long cold streak, Zoe gets propositioned by two gorgeous bear shifters. They may be into sharing, but Zoe is a one-man kind of woman and she’s not about to change that no matter how good looking these guys are.

When they’re forced to go on separate dates, Tito and Ronin wage an epic battle full of sabotage and shenanigans in order to be the one that Zoe chooses. But after both dates go disastrously wrong, will Zoe even want either of them? And if she does, are Tito and Ronin prepared to give up on their destiny of a shared mate?

  One

  Tito

“That’s a big vagina,” I say, scrunching my nose up as I stare at it while the girl whines.

My twin brother Ronin is standing beside me, staring at it with the same twisted up face. “The biggest I’ve ever seen.”

The poor cow turns to us with a whimper as we stand behind her helplessly.

“But I hope it gets bigger than that,” Ronin says, looking at the cow with a sympathetic look on his face. “A calf has to come out of there. Those things are huge.”

I glance over my shoulder, hoping to see Dr. Hoang hurrying up the meadow, but there’s nothing there but a blanket of purple wildflowers. “Where is he?” I mutter as I walk around to the pregnant cow’s head. I stroke it, trying to calm her.

“You only called twenty minutes ago,” Ronin answers. “Give the old guy a chance to get over here.”

I’m not good with these kinds of situations. We called the old doctor as soon as the cow started showing signs of labor and I’ve been a nervous wreck ever since.

I don’t like seeing her in pain, but more than that, I don’t like seeing all of the grossness that comes along with it.

“There he is,” Ronin says as a brown car speeds onto the ranch, kicking up a cloud of dust behind it.

It’s been about two years since we’ve called Dr. Hoang. Normally, we use another veterinarian for the ranch animals, but he’s on vacation this week. So, we had no choice but to call the old man.

The car rolls to a stop and Ronin and I stare in stunned silence as the most beautiful girl steps out. The wind picks up her black hair as she looks around the ranch with the most stunning dark brown eyes imaginable.

My heartbeat is suddenly beating with the force of a sledgehammer on an anvil as she spots us where we’re standing by the barn.

“Oh, wow,” Ronin whispers under his breath as she hurries over. Her body has the perfect amount of curves and each one of them is making me breathless.

We’ve both forgotten all about the poor pregnant cow by the time she arrives.

“Who are you?” Ronin asks, staring at her like she’s hypnotizing him. I’m just shocked he was able to say anything. I can’t seem to find my voice.

“I’m Dr. Hoang,” she says in a sugary-sweet voice.

“But you’re not a little old Vietnamese man,” Ronin answers, looking confused.

“No,” she says, taken aback. “I’m his daughter.”

“Ooooh,” we both say at the same time as we stare at her.

She spots the cow and pushes her way between us. “How far into labor is she?” she asks as she drops her bag and starts pulling out equipment.

“She separated from the herd about half an hour ago,” I say, amazed that I can talk in her presence.

She’s totally focused on the cow, doing her doctor thing as I meet Ronin’s eyes for the first time. They’re as wide as mine.

There’s no one in the world I’m closer to than my twin brother, and right now I know exactly what he’s thinking: Who is this girl that just came into our lives and how the hell do we get her to stay?

“Where is the closest sink?” she asks as she turns back to us. “I have to wash my hands and arms.”

“In the barn,” we both say at the same time, both trying to be as helpful as we can.

“You’re going to have to wash your hands and arms as well,” she says as she hurries inside. “I’ll need your help.”

I glance at the cow’s gaping vagina that has a hoof sticking out of it and cringe. “But that’s why we hired you,” I mutter in horror. I don’t want to go anywhere near that thing.

Ronin grabs my arm and squeezes it. “Tito,” he says, looking half-crazed. “This could be the girl.”

We’ve been looking for her for years. The girl who will be our shared mate and complete our triad.

Shifter twins have the same DNA, so their bears always bond to the same woman. When that happens, the woman will have two mates to love and stay with forever.

It’s a bit crazy to think that she will be that girl for us when we’ve only seen her for about ninety seconds and we’ve only exchanged a few sentences—most of them about cow vaginas—but I feel it too. There’s something about her.

Even my inner grizzly bear is standing at attention and grumbling for me to go see her again.

“Let’s be smart about this,” Ronin says. “Tito, you’re the closest person in the world to me and I would do anything for you, so don’t be insulted when I say, please please be smart.”

“I’m not going to screw this up,” I say, feeling outraged. “You know I wouldn’t do anything to hurt you. Why would you think I’d screw this up?”

With a sludgy popping sound, the calf’s head pushes out of the cow’s massive vagina. “Holy, tit-fucker that’s gross!” I shout, jumping back as I start to gag.
r />   Dr. Hoang shoots me a disapproving glare as she emerges from the barn and rushes over to help the cow.

Ronin gives me an I-told-you-so look before he goes over to help her.

I guess I have to go too. Yuck.

The beautiful Dr. Hoang throws a pair of long rubber gloves to Ronin and then puts on her own pair that stretch all the way up to her elbows. I can’t help but notice that I don’t get a pair.

She slathers her gloves with a lubricant and then forces her whole hand into the cow’s vagina.

“Oh, okay,” I say, trying not to dry heave as I look away. “You’re just going for it, aren’t you?”

When I turn back, her face has a concentrated look on it and her arm is all the way in up to her shoulder.

“So far, so good,” she says as she pulls her arm out with a shlup. “I’ll just tie some calving rope around the front legs to help pull him out.”

“Okay,” I say, feeling my knees start to buckle as I watch. “I’ll just stand here.” Trying not to throw up.

Ronin is by her side, helping her with whatever she needs. I don’t know how he’s doing it. The smell alone is making my breakfast want to come back up and see what’s going on.

She ties a rope around each of the calf’s legs as I lean against the barn with my head spinning, and they start to pull. Ronin has one rope and she has the other.

“He’s about to come out,” she says as the calf’s slimy shoulders emerge. “Stabilize his head.”

She whips her head around and narrows her eyes on me when I don’t move. “Come stabilize his head!”

“Oh, you mean me?” I ask, feeling my stomach flip as I push off the barn. “But I didn’t get any gloves.”

  “Just do it!” she shouts.

I rush over and the calf turns to me, looking like he wants to be here as much as I do.

“Grab his head,” Dr. Hoang says as she pulls on the rope. His stomach slides out.

I cringe as I look at it. “But it’s all slimy.”

  “Just grab it!” she shouts.

With my stomach churning, I grab the slimy head and it feels even worse than I was afraid of. Her and Ronin give one last tug and he slides out like… well, like a wet soggy calf sliding out of a cow’s huge vagina.

He tumbles out on top of me and I’m so dizzy and nauseous—not too mention that I’m standing on some slippery fluid—that I fall to the floor.

“Watch out!” Ronin shouts with a laugh.

With horror, I look up at the cow’s vagina that’s hovering over my head just as the amniotic sack and excess fluid shoot out. Right onto my face.

Ronin bursts out laughing as it surges down like a firehose onto my cheeks, forehead, and into my mouth.

Even Dr. Hoang is laughing as I flee into the barn and head straight for the sink.

Ten minutes of furious scrubbing and rinsing later, I come back out of the barn feeling like my flesh is crawling.

The mother cow is licking the fluid off her new calf and nuzzling her nose against his exhausted body.

How can you be licking that?!? I can still taste it in my mouth, and I can’t imagine anything wanting to voluntarily taste it.

Ronin is talking to the hot doctor and I feel a sudden pang of jealousy when she smiles at something he says. I know that any girl we have, we’re going to be sharing, but I still want her to like me the best.

I know that I won’t be happy in a triad unless our mate likes me the most.

“Such a beautiful experience of nature,” I say, smiling wide as I walk over and interrupt their conversation. “A true celebration of life and of the spectacular animal kingdom. I’m so lucky to have experienced it.”

Dr. Hoang grins as she turns to me. “You have some amniotic fluid on your ear.”

I smack it off like I just felt a spider crawling on my ear.

  She laughs.

“Still happy to experience it?” she asks with a smirk.

I laugh. “Maybe next time I won’t order a front row seat.”

“This is Dr. Zoe Hoang,” Ronin says, presenting the doctor. “She took over her father’s veterinarian business.”

“Oh,” I say with a friendly nod. “Did your father finally get sick of helping cows give birth and retire?”

“He died,” she says, knocking the wind out of my lungs. “A year and a half ago.”

“Oh,” I say awkwardly as I drop my eyes to the ground. “Sorry to hear that.”

“It’s okay,” she says, waving it off. “You didn’t know. I’ll just take my payment and be on my way.”

“How much do we owe you?” Ronin asks.

  “Three hundred dollars.”

Ronin smiles—he would have smiled even if she said thirty thousand dollars—and hurries off to our cabin to get a check.

My pulse starts racing as we’re left alone. Now is the time to turn the charm on and get her to like me more than Mr. Romantic over there.

“Have you always wanted to be a veterinarian?” I ask as she cleans up her gear.

She doesn’t even look up. “Yup.”

I kneel down to help her. “Why? Because you’re as beautiful as a swan, as adorable as a chipmunk, and as sexy as a fox?”

She looks up at me with a blank face. “You smell like cow vagina.”

Well, that didn’t go as planned.

My heart starts to thump with indignation as I stare at her. She’s going to blame me for that smell? It was her fault!

“Well, maybe if you didn’t put me right in the line of fire,” I say, feeling my voice tighten, “I wouldn’t have been stuck in an afterbirth avalanche!”

“I put you there?” she says with an indignant look. “Listen, buddy. You called me to help.”

  “Tito,” I say.

  Her brow furrows. “Excuse me?”

“My name is Tito, not buddy.”

“Clearly you’re not my buddy,” she says with a roll of her eyes. “I just want my three hundred dollars and I’m gone.”

“What’s your problem?” I ask, wondering how this went so wrong. “I’m the one who should be mad.”

“Oh, you’re the one that should be mad?” she says with an annoyed laugh. “Did you go to a job site and have someone inappropriately try to pick you up?”

“I did,” I say with a serious face. “She’s right there.” I point to the cow. “What is more inappropriate than dumping her vagina onto me?”

  To my surprise, Zoe laughs.

“I think you had it coming,” she says, trying to tame her laughter so she can scowl at me again.

“I think you may be right,” I say. “I’m sorry if I came on too strong. We usually don’t have girls as beau—”

“Don’t say it,” she warns. “I’m here professionally. Treat me like it, please.”

“As brainy as you,” I say instead.

“That’s better,” she says with a cute little smile.

We stare at each other for a long moment and something passes between us. Maybe it’s just me feeling it—or maybe it’s wishful thinking—but there’s some kind of spark.

“You and your brother,” she says. “Are you bear shifters?”

I jerk my head back in surprise. That’s not something I’ve ever been asked before. Especially, not by a human.

“You know about shifters?” I ask, giving her a sideways look.

She laughs as she reaches into her pocket and pulls out a business card. “I check animals. All animals, including shifter ones.”

I take the card from her little hands and she swallows hard when our fingers touch for a moment.

“We heal pretty fast, you know?” I say, looking at the card. Dr. Zoe Hoang. Veterinarian of ‘all’ animals. “Maybe it’s not the best business model.”

“Maybe,” she says with a grin. “But some animals still need their claws cut and teeth cleaned. Stuff like that.”

“I’ll call you if I need my teeth cleaned,” I say, smiling as I slide it into my pocket. “Can I call you f
or anything else?”

“Like?” she says, daring me to ask her.

“Like for a cup of coffee,” I say with a grin. “Or dinner. Basically, any kind of date.”

Ronin will have to come too, but I don’t want to scare her off right away.

“You’re asking me out?” she says as she stares at me with a blank expression. Her face is so hard to read. I can’t tell if she’s about to slap me, run away, or say yes.

I nod as I stare back at her. “Yes. I’d like to go out with you.”

She breaks her still expression with a laugh. “I’ve never been asked out by someone who’s shirt is dripping wet with amniotic fluid.”

With one swift movement, I pull it over my head and toss it behind me. Her eyes roam over my shredded torso, and maybe I’m imagining it, but they seem to get bigger.

  “Is that better?” I ask.

She takes a deep breath and then looks at me as her cheeks start reddening. “I’ve never been asked out by a shirtless man either.”

  “Which one is better?”

She swallows hard as her eyes drop back down. “Shirtless.”

  “So, is that a yes?”

She seems to catch herself because that unamused expression is back on her face. “I think you’ll have a better chance with the cow.”

That sexy grin is back. I could stare at those lips for days. Years. Decades.

“What’s it going to take to go out with me?” I ask, feeling desperate.
