Attack of the Greyhounds

by H. Nelson Freeman

After mooring at a buoy with the AGAR, the ship’s supply officer and mail petty officer made their all-important run. When the boat returned, the mail was distributed by division, and the officers' mail then delivered to the senior officers.

“Captain, this package came for you, sir.”

“Thanks, Petty Officer James.” A big smile broke out on the young petty officer’s face. He was almost overwhelmed. The Captain not only knew his rank but his name as well.

Captain Christopher Lanner opened the neatly wrapped package. He looked at the large box of cigars, and a small note from Maggie, ‘Enjoy.’
