An Archangel's Ache

“I thought we could use some food,” she said after she kissed him lightly on the lips and walked past him into his studio apartment.

Walter speechlessly followed Lithilia with his eyes. He closed the door and relieved her of her load. He put the wine in the fridge and set the food on the counter by the sink as Lithilia surveyed his apartment.

“I like your mansion, Mr. Peabody,” Lithilia said as she lowered herself on his bed.

Lithilia wore a red sleeveless blouse tucked into a short, tan skirt, with a pair of red high-heeled sandals to compliment her outfit. She propped herself backward with her hands as she crossed her toned, firm legs. Her full bosom heaved and fell rhythmically with each breath she took. Walter’s focus zoomed in on her ample cleavage. He swallowed. He was not sure whether he was slowly walking towards her by his will or if he was under hypnosis. Either way, he would not resist.

Lithilia uncrossed her legs as Walter knelt in front of her. She parted her legs some more, welcoming him into her feminine form, as she took his face in her hands. Walter accepted her invitation. He pulled her hips closer to his. Lithilia smelled like heaven and her body, pressed against his, felt like paradise. Even before they angled their heads and locked lips, Walter knew he was a goner; and he was at peace with that! They were two people on fire with a passion that was uncanny. Their clothes disappeared as if ordered by a spell. Their oral plays were separate at first. And then they were simultaneous. Their bodies blended into one with every touch, with every kiss, and with every gentle bite. There were no inhibitions, no restraints, no doubts, and no fears.

There was no past, and no future. But in every perfect, present, fiery moment, these two were joined in ways that were alien to Walter but not unfamiliar to Lithilia. To Walter, this was not just an awakening. It was THE awakening! To Walter, these soul-infusing pleasures were what the Buddha described as the ‘end of all suffering’. This was the ecstasy of all ecstasies. Nirvana was in Lithilia and Walter never wanted to stop entering and reentering nirvana. Alas, he was only human and several combined climaxes later, a very satisfied couple finally peeled off each other. The pillow talk was brief. There was more spoken in silence and more communicated in body contact than in words uttered; until the waves of hunger struck.

“Am I the only one who’s suddenly famished?” Lithilia asked.

“I have my buffet right here,” Walter replied, sliding his fingers between her legs.

“Yes!” Lithilia moaned. “It’s yours; anytime, anywhere, anyhow!”

  Jackpot! Walter exclaimed to himself.

Walter kissed Lithilia on the lips and was about to head for the kitchen counter, or whatever passed for a kitchen counter in his tiny studio apartment, when she grabbed his hand and returned it between her thighs. Walter grinned and obliged. Several minutes later, a grinning and satisfied Lithilia collapsed into a pillow.

“I now release you into the wild, my love!” she said, waving her hand in the air.

Walter smiled and headed for the counter where the wine and food were waiting. He set the food on a tray, opened the wine and took everything to bed. Walter made to return for wine glasses, but Lithilia started drinking from the wine bottle.

“Who needs glasses!” Lithilia said. “Your syphilis is now my syphilis!”

Walter choked on a piece of General Tso’s chicken. Lithilia’s sense of humor was sick and he absolutely loved it. He kissed her even more passionately before they both wolfed down the food and wine. After they finished eating, the naked couple talked for a while about almost everything and nothing; their families, childhoods, past relationships et cetera. Actually, Walter did most of the talking. Their acts of copulation had made them one and unhindered; or so Walter felt. They learned more about each other. An hour later, Lithilia resumed telling her story about the first woman.

  ***

“I do not know that name!” the male said, surprised by Lithilia’s question. “Why do you ask me such a question?”

“Because I heard you say her name!” Lithilia replied angrily.

“Let us take a moment,” the man pleaded, trying to reason with his partner. “Could you please start by telling me what is going on?”

“Here is what is going on,” Lithilia said.

She was a little less angry as she was starting to realize that her partner may actually be ignorant of the situation.

“On two separate occasions, I have seen a woman in our bed with you!” Lithilia said.

“What?” the male was dumbfounded and shocked beyond belief. “That is impossible! There is no one else in the garden but us!”

He threw his hands in the air and shook his head. His innocence was as real as real could be. Lithilia could feel his disappointment and hurt. It was true there were no other people in the garden, yet she knew what she saw. She decided to shift her focus to her partner’s feelings, and her anger eased up even more.

“I know what I saw!” Lithilia said less aggressively.

“Alright,” the male said. “I think we should take this to Father. He may be able to help.”

  “Agreed,” Lithilia said.

So, the couple sought an audience with Father and Lithilia told Father about what she had seen. Father assessed the situation keenly.

“If what you say is true-” Father started saying.

“It IS true!” Lithilia insisted. “I am not making this up!”

“I never said you were lying, princess,” Father explained.

Father handed her a flat object and asked her to sketch the creature she saw. Lithilia did and returned the device to Father. He furrowed his eyebrows as he studied the sketch. Father then showed the sketch to the male.

“Do you recognize this creature?” Father asked the male.

Father wanted to be objective and explore every possibility. But then, the male’s eyes bulged in shock.

“It cannot be!” the male gasped.

“What do you mean by that?” Father demanded.

“It cannot be!” the male said. “No! It was a dream! It was just a dream!”

“I knew it!” Lithilia shrieked in boiling anger. “You lay with another woman! On OUR bed! You betrayed me! I hate you! I HATE YOU!”

Lithilia was wild with rage as she thrashed and clawed at the male, who did not attempt to protect himself. Father dashed around the table and placed himself between Lithilia and the male. He ordered her to cease her attacks and return to her seat. Lithilia obeyed.

“I do not know what is going on,” the male said weakly. “I swear, it was only a dream. That is all I know.”

“And I SAW your dream!” Lithilia rebutted. “I saw your dream on top of you, and I saw you give seed! I saw you enjoy everything-”

“But you never saw my eyes open, did you, my love?” the male asked, barely above a whisper.

Lithilia froze. The male had a point.

“When we bond, with you on top, are my eyes open or closed?” the male asked calmly.

Lithilia hesitated for several moments not wanting to accept the possibility that her partner was telling the truth.

“But… But you said her name,” Lithilia said weakly, as if she was unsure of herself. “You called her by name!”

“In my sleep, my love,” the male explained.

“Apparently, there is more happening here,” Father said, trying to mitigate the situation. “You saw this creature, princess” he lifted the device in his hand and set it back on the table, “and he called her name. He said it was a dream. If you want my opinion, I think both of you are correct. But I honestly do not think that he is betraying you, princess. How about you two return to you domicile while I investigate further-”

“Look at you, taking his side!” Lithilia hissed through clenched teeth. “I should have known! You two are conspiring against me!”

Then, without warning, Lithilia picked up the device from the table and struck her partner in his right temple. It drew blood, and he collapsed on the floor. Father was shocke
d at her sudden act of violence, but not as shocked and mortified as she was for what she had done to the man she truly loved. Lithilia gazed down at her partner, paralyzed by fear, confusion and self-loathe as Father rushed to her partner’s aid. He barked some quick orders, and some assistants rushed in. She silently watched as they took her unconscious partner away, not knowing what to do or say. And then, as she turned around to leave, she froze in her step. Cahen was standing by the door, and he had witnessed his mother’s act of rage on his father.

The poor child was transfixed with fear. He would not take his eyes off his mother, who was the reason for this strange emotion that had seized his being. Lithilia took a step towards him, arms outstretched, inviting her son to come to him. But he backed away from his mother. She tried to tell him everything was alright, but he curled up against the wall and held his little friend closer to his chest, both for comfort and to protect his furry friend from the foe that used to be his mother. Father walked in and called the little boy over. Seeing his grandfather, Cahen immediately leaped to his feet and ran into the protective arms of his grandfather. His grandfather picked him up and caressed his head as he spoke words of comfort and reassurance to him. Father then turned and glared at Lithilia for the first time ever, and something about the glare seemed to seal the gravity of her actions deep into her psyche.

“Return to your domicile!” Father ordered. “I will deal with this later!”

And with those words, Father turned around and walked away.

Lithilia was left alone in the empty chamber. For a few moments, she just stood there, motionless, unsure of what to do. She hated herself for hurting her lover. She hated herself for offending Father. She hated herself even more for frightening their child. Lithilia turned around and walked out of the room. She walked in a daze along the hallways until she came to the main entrance. She pressed a button on the left and the doors parted. She could see her domicile ahead. She sighed and started walking towards her home, just as Father had ordered.

Lithilia’s mind raced in every direction; at possible outcomes, at ways to make amends, and most of all, at her fear that violence may be her nature. She could fight it! She will fight it! She will make amends, no matter how long it took. She was sorry and hoped her lover and son would forgive her. Everything would go back to the way it was. Or so she hoped. But with each step she took, Lithilia became convinced that nothing would ever be the same again. She feared that if she stayed, she may hurt her partner again and worst of all, that she may hurt their son. No! She would not let that happen! She could not let that happen. As such, even when she arrived at their domicile, she kept on walking. Their domicile would no longer be her home.

Then, Lithilia broke into a trot. Her inability to control her temper was a poison that threatened to affect all those around her. She must protect the ones she loved. Lithilia broke into a run. It was best she stayed away from them. Staying away was the only guarantee she could offer them. They would be safe from her untamed wildness. The decision was painful, and it was the hardest thing she had ever done in her entire existence. Yet, she had to. She swore to reunite her family one day, no matter how long it took. She would ask for forgiveness and make things right again. And as the Garden of Aiden receded further and further behind her with each step she took, she swore to make this creature, this Lucie, pay for what she had done to her family. Even if it were the last thing Lithilia ever did! And with that final promise to herself, Lithilia did something she had never done before; she teleported away to a land that was as unknown to her as her newfound ability.

  ***

Lithilia was sobbing silently and Walter took her into his arms.

“Why are you crying?” Walter asked.

“Sorry,” Lithilia sobbed. “This part of the story always gets to me.”

“It’s a sad but beautiful story,” Walter offered as he wiped the tears from her cheeks. “If I didn’t know better, I’d say you’re telling me your story. Is that why you chose to name this character Lithilia? Do you feel a connection with her?”

Lithilia did not reply. She gazed at Walter and smiled sadly. Then, she inched closer and kissed him on the lips and their simple kiss turned to one of passion. She pushed him onto his back and straddled him, guiding him into her warm, tight wetness. He moaned and arched his back as she moved her hips slowly at first before picking up speed. She could feel him building towards a climax.

“Do you know why I cried?” Lithilia asked as she gyrated away.

“N- No!” Walter stammered as his pleasure was building up.

“Because she took my love from me,” Lithilia replied.

Walter half-opened his eyes and noticed Lithilia’s eyes glowed with a yellow-orange hue. But the feeling in his loins made him think it was just a figment of his imagination. Lithilia worked even faster.

“She took my son away from me. But later, I got him back!” Lithilia said, and her eyes shone even brighter.

This time, Walter knew his mind was not playing tricks on him. He was frightened by the sight, but he was too close to inconceivable ecstasy to do anything about it.

“And yes, I am Lithilia; the name is no coincidence, Walter,” Lithilia added, and there was something uncanny about her voice.

“I have been given many names and called many things; but I am Lithilia.,” she hissed. “And you, Walter, have a special role in my plan!”

Walter was torn between mind-numbing ecstasy and paralyzing fear at the full realization that his jackpot winnings were about to pave a path of no return to a destination that could only be Hell itself. Right before he climaxed, Lithilia leaned closer to Walter’s face and opened her mouth. A glowing orange mist rushed from her mouth into Walter’s as he moaned in soul-wrenching ecstasy. In his moment of climax, Walter was most vulnerable, and the glowing, orange mist burned his essence to nothingness. Everything he knew, and everything he was, evaporated in an esoteric blast as the life he had burned away. And, instead of giving seed, Walter’s soul was scorched.

That morning, Walter Peabody woke up a human. But now, he was reborn as a new creature; one that was neither demon nor human, luper nor chuper. Walter Peabody opened his eyes, and they burned a in bright orange hue, the color of a Sinister. Lithilia ceased her gyration as Walter became flaccid with his rebirth. She peeled herself away from him and stood beside his bed. She gazed down on Walter as one would look down on vermin with the utmost disdain.

“Welcome to the new life, Walter,” Lithilia said coldly. “Are you ready?”

Walter stripped himself from the bed and prostrated before Lithilia.

“I am at your service… my queen!” Walter replied

So much for hitting the lottery….

  CHAPTER ELEVEN

  WINGLESS

ELIEL WATCHED AS Michael, Uriel, and The Edge gradually receded into the distance. There was a feeling a weightlessness in his fall. It was an illusion. In Creation, directional ups and downs are relative to one’s physical location in Creation. However, there is higher and lower, relative to one’s current vibrational frequencies to other dimensions. ‘Moving’ to a dimension of higher vibrational frequency was considered an ascension and moving to one with a lower vibrational frequency was considered a fall. No angel or archangel had ever ascended. But many had fallen before. Some had returned. Others had not yet returned for various reasons.

The events of the few moments past still felt surreal to Eliel. One moment, he was watching over Baby JEM, and before he knew it, he was trying to stay alive as he engaged in one-on-one combat against Michael. Then Uriel had provided him with enough evidence to convince him that he was an angel of promise, and now he was falling! Oh yes! That was happening; he really was falling! Where to? Eliel was unsure; but he trusted he would end up where it was best for him.

Eliel continued falling. He was still within Lemuria’s vibrational frequency. Celestia may no longer be within eyesight, but he could feel his home in his essence. Home! Eliel was leaving
home to embark on a journey into the unknown; and in that unknown, he would have to find himself again. No! He WILL find himself again! The fate of his brothers and sisters depended on his success. He would have to return, and thus, he would have to remember. But how could he remember in amnesia?

“But even though they say there is total amnesia, there’s a part of us that never forgets. It just gets buried in the far recesses of one’s mind…”

Eliel remembered Uriel’s words and focused on something that could serve as a trigger during his journey to remembrance. He thought of Baby JEM and smiled. He missed her a lot and wondered if he would get to meet her this time as a human. But as quickly as sweet thoughts of the infant came to mind, Eliel quickly brushed them aside. They would not be helpful. Thus, as Eliel continued falling, he came up with a mantra.

Celestia is my home! I am on a mission! I am The One!

Celestia is my home! I am on a mission! I am The One!

Celestia is my home! I am on a mission! I am The One!

Celestia is my home! I am on a mission! I am The One!

Eliel screamed in pain as the edges of his wings suddenly burst aflame and burned towards his scapulae. He did not even recall summoning his wings. His wings had popped out of their own volition. He no longer resonated with his home and everywhere looked strange to him! Panic set in! He flailed wildly as he tried to douse the flames on his wings with his hands, but he was not flexible enough. The sudden drop in vibrational frequency as he fell through a different dimension sent his entire form into excruciating pain. His body’s vibrational frequency dropped until it resonated with that of the current dimension he was falling through.

Celestia is really gone! He thought. As Eliel resonated to the new vibrational frequency of the dimension, the pain in his body subsided. He stole a moment to look at a realm nearby. The realm was inhabited by creatures with spherical bodies of various sizes with five pairs of legs. Many of them pointed a pair of legs towards him and excitement was in the air. Some stretched their legs forward and lower their bodies to the ground, as if in prostration. Eliel resumed his mantra.
