Loving Liv (Chaos MC #2)

Page 9

by Cameron Heart

I know it won’t last, but I keep reminding myself to enjoy it while I can.

It’s a slow night at the bar and Stacy lets me go a little early. She has been over the moon about Carter and me. You’d think she was my mom and I just told her I got engaged to a prince or something. It’s endearing, if not a little strange to have someone be so happy just because I’m happy.

  Happy.

  Is that what this is?

I guess I do feel happy. Lighter. Prone to smiling. All very new things for me.

Carter throws his arm around me and kisses my temple, bringing me back to reality. We’re sitting in one of the booths at the back of the bar with Dom and Slash.

It’s nice talking and hanging out with them. I’ve never had brothers, but I think if I did, I’d want them to be Slash and Dom.

I offer to refill everyone’s drinks and make my way towards the bar.

On the way back, I overhear Carter and Slash talking, their tones more serious now.

When I get back to the table there’s a phone laying face up with photo on the screen of a man. Not just any man though.

  Spider.

My breath catches in my throat and my heart squeezes painfully in my chest before beating against my ribcage, pumping ice through my veins. Somewhere in the distance I hear glass shattering and liquid splashing on my legs, but I keep staring. Paralyzed.

I feel warm hands on my shoulders.

“Liv? Liv, what’s going on? Talk to me, baby.”

Carter’s soothing voice breaks through the fog and fear.

“How… you… I… How?” I stutter out, still piecing together the fragments of my world that has just been blown to shit.

A million questions race in my mind.

Do they work for him? Has this all been some sort of game? Did I walk right into the lion’s den and not know it? Is Carter in on it? Has it all been lies? Or did he threaten them? Did he find me and convince them to hand me over? How much do they know?

I’m vaguely aware of Carter guiding me to the booth and sitting me down. I feel his hands cup my face as he turns me towards him.

  “Look at me, Liv.”

I can’t. What does he know? What the fuck is going on?

He takes one of my hands in his and places it over his heart, holding it there in his large, warm hand.

“Breathe with me, baby. You’re ok.”

His strong, steady heartbeat brings me back down. I look into his soft green eyes, laced with concern. There’s no way he’s faking it with me. He wants me. He might even love me.

We breathe together and I blink back tears of confusion, of fear, of love for my man.

Yeah, my man. What the fuck am I saying?

“Are you here with me, Liv?”

  I nod.

He wraps an arm around my side and pulls me close to him.

I look up and see Dom and Slash staring at me, concern in their eyes as well.

“Can you tell me what just happened?”

“How…” I take another breath. “How do you have a picture of Spider?”

Carter’s face goes completely white. I look over at Slash and his face is bright red. He is clenching his fists on the table and looks like he’s ready to explode.

No one speaks for a minute, then finally Slash grits out, “How do you know Spider?”

Carter looks like he might throw up. Is he disgusted by me? Does he know about Spider and me? Will he finally see that I’m not worth his time?

“Please, Liv. Talk to us.” Slash’s tone is softer. I can tell he’s making an effort to calm down.

“I… um, well, he’s my ex.” I look down in my lap, I can’t meet anyone’s eyes.

“FUCK!” Slash yells, bringing both fists down on the table. I flinch and bring my hands up to cover my face. I don’t really think anyone here is going to hurt me, it’s just a reflex.

“I’m sorry, shit, Liv, I’m sorry,” Slash immediately apologizes.

I look at Carter, needing some reaction from him so I know how fucked I am. He still looks white as a sheet, but his nostrils are flaring and his jaw tenses as anger takes the place of shock.

  “Carter, I…”

He turns to me, his face changing once again from anger to sorrow.

“I’m sorry, Carter, I should have said something – “

He cuts me off by pulling me into his lap and wrapping his arms around me tightly. He buries his head in my shoulder, nuzzling my neck.

“You didn’t do anything wrong, love. I’m so sorry for what you’ve been through. So fucking sorry. I’m going to kill him, Liv. Rip his fucking balls off and feed them to him before squeezing the life out of him with my own hands. And that still will be too good of a death for him. I’ll - “

It’s my turn to cut him off. I rest my head on his and stroke my fingers in his hair.

“I’m ok, Carter. I’m ok.” I tell him over and over again until I feel some of the tension leave his muscles.

I know we still have more to talk about, so I untangle myself from Carter and slide to the seat next to him. He still squeezes me next to him with a possessive grip in my hip. His fingers slide up the side of my shirt and rest on my bare skin. I don’t think it’s supposed to be sexy, it’s more like he needs that direct contact. I need it too.

“So…” I say to break the silence. No one really knows what to say and they are all deferring to me to start things off. “It seems like you know all about Spider’s role in my life for the last three years. How about you tell me how you guys know him?”

Dom and Carter look at Slash.

“I’m so sorry, Liv. Fuck. I’m so sorry,” Slash says.

“Why? What’s going on? Are you going to tell him where I am?” Panic spreads through me.

“NO!” All three of the men at the table say at the same time. Carter tightens his grip on my side.

“Then, why are you sorry, Slash?”

He looks up at me with so much emotion it almost makes me want to cry. He looks like he’s in physical pain holding back what he needs to say.

  “Spider is my brother.”

  What. The. Fuck.

“But I swear to god I didn’t know what he was doing. I mean I knew he was a dealer a while ago, but Stacy and I left him as soon as we could. I didn’t know, I didn’t know what he’d turn into. Fuck, I’m so sorry. No wonder you don’t want to be around me, I know we look alike. I’m so sorry Liv.”

He gets up and starts to walk away, his hands scraping down his face.

I jump up and step towards Slash.

  “Wait!” I call out.

He turns towards me. The look on his face is pure agony.

  “Slash, it’s not your fault.”

He shakes his head back and forth, as if in disgust.

I take a step closer to him and give him a hug. Yeah. Me. Initiating a hug. It just felt like the right thing to do.

Slash freezes for a second but then hugs me back.

We separate, and he looks at me with confusion in his face.

“I don’t blame you for anything. You’re not responsible for his actions. And you’re not him. You’re a good man, Slash. Nothing like him.”

So many emotions flash across his face.

“Thank you,” he whispers before scrubbing his face with his hands once more and sitting down.

I return to my seat next to Carter, who promptly pulls me into him and kisses my forehead and drops his lips to me ear.

“I understand why you hugged Slash, but if you do that again I’m going to have to take you into the back room and remind you who you really belong to.”

“Promise?” I ask, giving him my best seductive smile.

  He growls.

“Kidding. You’re the only one I want, Carter.”

The words feel right and I know Carter thinks so too. The look he gives me is so sincere, so caring, so full of love, I might have to take him into the back room and show him what it means to be mine.

  Dominic
clears his throat and I can practically hear what Carter is thinking.

Dom, the interruption to all of the sweet moments between us.

We turn back towards Slash and Dom, who now look all business.

“Liv, has Spider tried to contact you at all since you’ve been here? Anything weird or suspicious at all?” Slash asks.

“He hasn’t tried to contact me, no.”

“But maybe something weird or suspicious?” He prompts.

“I mean, there’s been this black car parked outside of my apartment for a while.”

“What?!” Carter practically yells next to me. “Why didn’t you tell me?”

“Well I wasn’t sure it was anything at first, ya know? What would I say, ‘There’s a weird car outside?’ I mean who cares.”

“Yes, that’s exactly what you would say,” Carter grumbles.

I shoot him a glare. “I don’t exactly need to be patronized right now.”

“You’re right, I’m sorry,” Carter concedes. “I’m worried about you. I had no idea about any of this. How can I protect you if I don’t have all the information?”

I put my hand on his thigh in hopes to calm him down a bit. “Well, we’re talking now, aren’t we?” He nods and places his hand over mine, twining our fingers together.

I proceed to tell them about the times I saw the car, including when they seemed to follow me on the bus.

They ask a few more questions and I answer to the best of my ability. Finally, Carter stands up and takes me by the hand.

“I think she’s been through enough tonight. You guys talk to River, I’m sure he’ll want to call church tomorrow. I’m taking Liv home.”

“You sure she should go back home? He’s already got a guy watching her place.”

“Of course. I meant my home. She’s moving in.”

“What, now?” Even though this is literally what I’ve been dreaming about the last few days, I can’t quite process how and why it’s happening. “I’m right here, you know. We haven’t discussed that at all and I am not ok with it.”

Carter rubs my back. “Ok, love. We’ll talk about it.”

I grin at him, happy that I seem to have shut him down so easily.

But then he adds, “While we’re at your place, packing up your stuff.”

I roll my eyes and he laughs.

  “Good luck, man,” Slash chuckles.

We walk out to Carter’s bike and drive over to my place. Where I will be living, damnit.

  Chapter 14

  Carter

I pull up to Liv’s apartment and scan for cars or people or any perceived threat. Once we’re in the clear, I follow her up to her place.

“Carter…” She starts, but I can’t wait another second. After hearing her talk about Spider, I need to be with her, need to feel her, need to claim her and remind her she’s mine, she’s safe, and she’ll never have to worry about Spider again.

I push her back into the wall and devour her mouth. Her arms automatically go around my neck and I grab her ass, squeezing her perfect cheeks and pressing her into me. I pull back and rip her shirt in two, unwilling to wait for her to take it off. I think she might be upset, but instead, she bites her lip and a fire sparks in her eyes.

“You’re gonna pay for that,” she says.

“Promise?” I ask, giving her words right back to her.

She laughs, but it turns into a moan as I yank the cup of her bra down and suck her nipple.

“Take this off,” She says, tugging at my shirt. I step back to pull it over my head and she gets to work on my pants, after she takes her bra off. I kick off my boots and take my jeans the rest of the way off before sliding her yoga pants and panties off of her smooth, toned legs.

Not wasting another second, I back her into the wall once again and lift her up by her ass. She wraps her legs around me and grips my shoulders. I dip my head into her neck and kiss her pulse point, nibbling, and licking away the sting.

“Are you wet for me, baby? Ready for me to fuck you right here against this wall?”

  “Oh fuck, Carter. Yes!”

I slide my aching cock up and down her slit, not penetrating her, just spreading her sweet honey all over. I bump her clit with the head of my cock and she moans. I repeat the motion again and again until she’s shaking.

“Carter, please, please, I need you inside of me.”

  I chuckle. “Patience, baby girl.”

I lean down and suck on her nipple, first one, and then the other, all while continuing to stroke her throbbing pussy with my dick.

When I feel her tense, I back off.

“No!” She yells in frustration. “I’m so close!”

Without warning, I slam into her, burying myself to the hilt.

She fucking cums as soon as I’m inside of her.

  “Ah! Fuck! Carter, holy shit!”

Her hips buck, pushing me impossibly deeper into her sweet cunt. I feel the velvet walls of her pussy squeeze and pulse against me and it feels fucking amazing.

“God, Liv, I fucking love your pussy. So perfect.”

I can’t wait any longer. She’s riding out the last of her orgasm, but I have to move or else I feel like I might literally die.

I pull out and push back in, again and again, rubbing her over sensitized clit with each thrust.

  “Ah, ah, ah, oh fuck!”

She makes these hot little sounds every time I hit her clit. Her ankles cross behind my back and she digs her heels into me, urging me deeper.

I feel her nails dig into my biceps as she throws her head back against the wall.

“Careful love, you’re going to hurt yourself,” I chuckle.

She opens her mouth to say something but I slam my mouth on hers, swallowing her reply.

I speed up, fucking her hard and fast against the wall, sweat dripping off of my forehead onto her chest. I stare at one drop of sweat making its way down between the valley of her gorgeous tits. I dip my head down and lick it up before sucking on her breasts, flicking her nipple with my tongue.

  “Yes! God, Carter, shit…”

“I’m coming, baby girl, cum with me. Milk my big fat cock with your pussy, I want to feel you gush all over me.”

Her muscles tense and she pulls me closer to her with her heels digging in my back. I feel her teeth bite into the skin on my shoulder and I roar with pain and pleasure. I’m sure she drew blood and it gets me impossibly harder knowing she marked me, knowing she likes it rough and dirty. Her body bucks against me and her pussy clamps down on my cock, releasing the first wave of her orgasm. It’s so tight, spasming and contracting around me. I can’t hold back. I throw my head back and shoot my cum so forcefully into her tight pussy I think I might pass out.

I rest my head on her shoulder, panting and coming down from the best fucking orgasm I’ve ever had. My legs shake, and I carefully slide us down to the floor. We lay in a tangled heap of limbs and sweat.

“What was that?” Liv asks, almost in awe.

“If you have to ask, I don’t think I did it right. Might have to try it again.”

I roll over and kiss her forehead, nose, and cheeks before placing a chaste kiss on her lips.

Liv laughs. “No, I mean… I don’t know. Fuck, Carter. That was amazing.”

“Yeah, love. Yeah it fucking was.”

She slides out of my arms and I miss her warmth immediately.

“I have to shower, then you can shower,” she says.

“Why not save water and shower together?” I ask while standing up.

“No, sir. If we get in the shower together we’ll never leave and you know it.”

“So you agree you’ll move in with me?” I say, maybe a little too enthusiastically.

“I didn’t say that. Just that I think you’re right that this isn’t the safest place for me right now. Just until you guys deal with… with him.”

She looks away and it fucking slices me in two that she can’t even say his name.

  “L
ook at me, Liv.”

She gives me her eyes. Jesus, those eyes.

I walk over and pull her into my arms.

“You’re safe. I’m here, the club has your back. You’re safe now, ok?”

  She nods into my chest.

“Now go take a shower before I bend you over the couch and fuck you again.”

Liv raises an eyebrow and grins at me, letting me know she’s game.

  Fuck, this woman.

I smack her ass and she laughs before scurrying into the bathroom.

Ten minutes later, it’s my turn.

When I get out of the shower, I see Liv folding clothes into a small duffel bag. She’s just so fucking gorgeous. I walk up behind her and wrap my arms over tummy, kissing the top of her head.

She leans back into me and I hold her tight.

I finally let go and pull on my pants and shirt. When I turn around, Liv is on the couch. I sit next to her, trying to figure out the look on her face.

“What’s up, love? What are you thinking about?”

“I don’t know how to talk about… about it yet. About him yet. But I want you to know. I want to tell you.”

I nod, humbled that she wants to open up.

“Can I ask you questions? Maybe that would help?”

She nods and pulls her knees up to her chest, a move I’m coming to learn is a defense mechanism. Like she’s trying to make herself as small as possible.

  “When did you meet him?”

Her face scrunches up and I think she might not be ready to talk about it at all.

Finally, she says, “You remember I told you about the dealer who set the car on fire?”

  “Jesus Christ, Liv.”

“I know, I know, so stupid. I was so stupid. He was familiar, and, like, what’s that saying – the devil you know? Well, he was my devil and I just wanted someone familiar and he was nice to me back then, he kept tabs on me while in foster care. Checked in on me, sometimes gave me new clothes or shoes. Said he felt bad about me being in the car, that he didn’t know. Still, I was so dumb.”

I pull her into my side and kiss her temple. “Liv, you weren’t stupid. You were all alone. This wasn’t your fault, none of it, ok? He picked you out, he knew you were vulnerable.”
