Coven's End: Jillian (Coven's End Series Book 4)

"They’ve got a dark witch?" I was shocked. The pentagram covered the entire cabin ceiling. No demon would be able to move once under it.
"No, they have a dark witch’s grimoire."
That was a relief. Bad enough they had the book, but if they had an actual dark witch, that would’ve been catastrophic. They were rare, and as part of the now broken treaty, the pack and coven had always kept tabs on them.
I walked a few steps over to the kitchen, grabbed a hand towel, then stood on one of the chairs. In two seconds, I had the pentagram broken. The demon jumped from the bed.
Trinity had dropped to her knees, head bowed, the instant we’d entered the room. She was still there, beside the door, too scared to move a muscle. The demon had her by the throat before I could react, not that I would have stopped him.
"May I deal with her?" he asked my father.
Lucian nodded once, and the demon and Trinity disappeared. He didn’t just move fast, he disappeared.
"Wait a minute," I said loudly. My mates all protested at the same time.
With one raised hand, my father was able to shut us all up. "She won’t escape. She won’t return to torture you. This isn’t a cheesy movie. She’ll be in hell, serving me, after she endures a punishment meant to break her and bend her to Phenex’s will."
We looked at each other, unsure what else to say. He assured us she’d be punished. "Will she ever be able to come back?" I asked.
"No," he said with finality. The power in his voice was awe inspiring.
I nodded once. Okay, then.
"Now," he said in a booming tone. "Let’s get out of this cabin. Those pentagrams have no power over me, but they make me feel icky." He walked from the room while Jillian tried not to giggle.
"He said icky," she whispered as she walked past me.
Back outside, he and my mother stood side by side, staring at me. My mom stepped forward. "Kane, you have much work to do. The unification of your father’s creatures is vital. You must learn to coexist and work together."
I raised my eyebrows. "My father’s creatures? Plural?"
"Oh, yes. All but the witches belong to me. Even you, pups." He smiled fondly at the lycans. "You were a bit of an accident, a curse gone wrong, but once you were created, I just loved you. Had to keep you."
Quin and Voss looked like someone had just kicked them. Jillian looked excited.
"So, who do the witches belong to?" I asked them.
He tutted. "The witches are on their own. They are humans that have managed to get ahold of demon or angel blood along the way and it altered their DNA. I won’t claim them, and as I understand it, neither will God."
"God is real?" Jillian asked. I looked at her in surprise. Hadn’t she known?
My mother burst out laughing. "Of course he is! Kane can tell you all about him, I’m sure."
I nodded. God wasn’t who everyone thought he was, and he’d been feuding with my father since time was born, nearly.
My father stepped forward and pulled Jillian into a warm embrace. I had no idea if he had ulterior motives or was just glad she was my mate. Didn’t know him well enough to know. "Welcome to the family," he whispered. He shook Voss’s and Quin’s hands, then mine. "Son."
My mother did the same, hugging Jillian, shaking hands. When she came to me, she hugged me. "Have fun," she said with a wicked smile. "You’re going to have your hands full in several months."
With those words, they disappeared. No portal this time, just blink, they were gone.
"What did that mean?" I asked the empty air where they’d been standing.

Jillian
37 weeks later
"Well, what are they?" I craned my neck to get a good look at the triplets. We’d waited long months to find out if our children would be lycans or vampires.
"Vampire babies need to feed as soon as they’re born," Kane said as he cradled one of little dark-headed babies.
"Well, give her to me," I said. As soon as I’d pushed them out, their daddies had grabbed them and hadn’t given them back yet.
Kane nestled the tiny, beautiful baby girl he had into my arms. She turned her head and began rooting.
"She wants to eat." I smiled. I would’ve been okay if she’d been a vampire, but I was thrilled to see she wanted to nurse, not bite.
With some difficulty, we managed to get her latched onto my nipple. It wasn’t as easy as they made it seem in all the books. She suckled for about ten minutes, then began to squirm.
"She’s only getting colostrum right now," Voss said as he consulted a website on his phone. "She might not drink for long."
"I’ll try the other side." Three sets of eyes followed my progress as I shifted her and went through the harrowing process of getting her latched onto the other side.
She managed it a little bit faster the second time, giving me hope that it would get easier. Without warning, I cried out in pain. "She bit me!"
Kane laughed. "She’s a vampire." He beamed in pride.
"Do vampires nurse?" I asked as I lifted her lips to peer at her gums. She was totally latched on my nipple. Blood dripped from two tiny bite marks where her teeth had apparently descended, bit me, then went back inside her gums. Kane had warned how it worked.
"No, never. They only need blood."
"Well, she’s definitely nursing," Voss whispered as he leaned over the side of the bed to look closer.
Quin’s eyes were huge and round. "And drinking blood."
I looked at my beautiful daughter and worried about what this meant for her. How much more difficult could this make her life? "We have a hybrid."
Just then Quin made a startled sound, then Voss. I glanced at them and the baby girls they each held had bitten their hands, drinking blood from them. I laughed, my heart filling with joy. "Correction. We have triplet hybrids."
Vampires and lycans have warred since the dawn of time.
Mating between a vampire and a lycan is forbidden.
A harem is unheard of.
Until now.
Meet Kane, Voss, Quin, and Jillian.
When a new enemy threatens both the Coven and Pack, will it tear Jillian’s world apart or unite the two races, ending an ancient war?

Hell Fire
Academy’s Rise, book 1
By Lia Davis & L.A. Boruff
I’m Meda, the oldest triplet born to the King of the vampires and the High Alpha of the lycans. Heir to the Collective throne. My sisters and I are used to being in the spotlight. Unfortunately, our birth also came with a prison sentence.
Leaving the compound unguarded? Not an option.
Going to an out of state college was laughable.
My parents’ solution was to expand the Collective Academy to include a University—a whopping mile from home. My sisters and I are being allowed to live in the dorms, you know, so we’ll feel normal.
My fire magic takes a strange turn, prompting me to seek the help of an old witch friend. I haven’t seen Sterling in months and when he shows up at the dorm with his two best friends, a feral need uncurls inside me.
Sterling, Dorian, and Peter are my mates. Like true, fated mates. A complication I don’t need with my fire power on the fritz.
On top of everything else, I’m having blackouts where I lose hours, sometimes a whole day. I need to fix my magic, not worry about how to deal with new mates.
When students go missing and show up dead, the evidence points to me. Suddenly I’m beyond grateful I’ve got three intelligent men on my side as I try to prove my innocence.
