The Angelic Wars I - Heaven

by Andrew Gille

When Temerian had finished creating the sun and the planets and all flora and fauna of the world, the Colossals came and said that it was good. Then the head of Temerian split wide, and The King of the Angels came forth, and he was mighty, and the Colossals all came to Temerian to witness him and be in the midst of his power. Temerian said, “Behold, I bring a greater God than we unto us, he will prepareth the way for us and make magnificent the whole of this realm. The Colossals marveled at his power and asked Temerian to make another as great as The King of Angels. Temerian said, “Even I cannot replicate the power and might of The King of Angels another time.” He is and will always be my greatest creation. However, I shall create the angels, and you will see that they will also be good and grand. Each of them shall be appointed of their qualities and born of their intrinsic being.

Then from his mouth came the Seraphim, and they were great and mighty, he said they would be the most powerful of the angels and would be closest to The King of Angels.

Then from his neck sprang the Cherubim, and they were strong and powerful and were second only to the Seraphim in their power.

From his chest, he brought forth the Thrones, and they would be the wheels upon which the thrones of the Colossals would be carried, that is to say, that they would carry out the decisions of the Colossals.

Then from his liver, he culled the Dominions, and they would rule over the lower angels and ensure that the wishes of the Colossals were carried out.

From his stomach came the Virtues, and they were the bravest and heroic, they shined so brightly that lower angels could not look upon them.

Then from his right hand, he brought forth the Powers, and they would enforce the will of the Colossals among the angels.

From his left hand, he delivered the Principalities, and they would govern the great cities that Temerian had already caused to rise up upon his planets.

From his heart, he brought the archangels, his messengers, warriors and the protectors of the realms from any insidious threat.

These he called the high angels, for they were the rulers, the leaders, the mighty.

Then, from his feet, he took the Lowly Angels, the common ones who would serve the others and perform the jobs and toil that the others were too engaged in important matters to do.

When Temerian was finished he declared the angels to be good and he said, “You shall be the rulers of Heaven, and the highest among you shall sit upon its throne. This is my covenant to you. Each of you has his own duties that I have assigned through your rank. Your ancestors the Colossals are worshiped by the proper execution of prescribed duties in my system. There is no other way to satisfy my covenant. I have said this, and it is so.”

  -Metatron

  VIII.

I have discovered the reason that Metatron has kept these notes on the truth about the Colossals and the angels, it is because of a startling fact that I have found. He knows that the Colossals liveth. Os was unable to kill the glorious creators of the angels and Metatron, being in Os’ privileged court, seeks to continue Os’ hegemony and our present subjugated state. The Colossals vowed to return and create for the angels who are their sons and daughters a glorious kingdom. Now, some angels will betray their own kind or who have been so blinded by Os’ propaganda that they now will not believe the truth. Let them perish with Os in the fires of our retribution. We will regain the heavens, and The King will lead us. The passages tell of he who is of the second highest, a giant among us, he will be called The Enrauch, he will destroy the traitors in your path and Os’ Generals will fall on their knees before him. When all seems lost and the faithless throw up their hands in dismay, The King and The Enrauch will deliver you from Os’ oppression, and they will make Heaven a place of victory for angels.

You have heard me say that you should choose to disseminate these glorious words of your own volition, but now I tell you that you must spread this message to each angel in heaven. Go therefore and make disciples of all the ranks, arch-angels, dominions, thrones, all should be told these glorious words. If your enemy should throw you to the ground, teach these words to him from the ground. All should all hear this marvelous message. Teach them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, Temerian will be with you always, even to the end of the age.

We will not continue to live in this false kingdom. Rise up glorious angels and take back what is yours. Do not disregard these words for should you engage the forces of your enemies and forget what you have learned here, Temerian will curse you, The Colossals will pour out into heaven again and destroy you and your armies. The Colossals will then return to their unnamed realm and await for faithful champions. But do not despair, be faithful, learn these words and adhere to them and the angels will defeat Os, and his shining white palace will be brought to the ground. You have the power, and your faith in these words will bring victory, and your success will bring The Colossals’ return and an eternity of glory and harmony between the true Gods The Colossals and the children of Temerian.

  CHAPTER SIX

  A Rumor of War

Michael walked into Gabriel’s palace, Abbadon stood with Gabriel as the archangel approached. In Arcadia, a tropical city West of the Elysium Desert, the Southern Hemisphere of Paradisio’s center of culture and trade, Gabriel’s palace stood. A multi-spired, shining structure of columns and arches. Gabriel always enjoyed entertaining, and his home had expansive halls for banquets and an entire theater for a choir of hymn singing angels to entertain. The many tiers of the palace each had massive balconies with incredible views that reached out beyond the city to the Elysium Desert and Arcadian Bay.

Michael always felt at ease within the walls of Gabriel’s palace, he had enjoyed great times at the many banquets and parties that Gabriel held, but it was when he and Gabriel were alone in the palace, and he spent time speaking to the angel he saw as a mentor and friend that he enjoyed it the best. At this time of turmoil, it was the only place he wished to be.

Gabriel turned to Abbadon, “There, Michael arrives to tell us of his trip to Kalos, what have thee, Michael?”

“Lucifer, he has the forges of Azura working non-stop to produce these,” Michael produced a schematic of armor on a roll of parchment, “It appears to be a suit of seraphim armor. Yet where theirs is suited to standing for long periods in the cool air of Paradisio, this has features that protect the wearer at the expense of comfort. What use has he for armor such as this? Then the forges of Virgos produce weapons, swords, spears, pikes, but he has ordered them sharpened to dangerous edges, no longer decorative but weapons such as those the Colossals wielded against Os and his family so long ago.”

Abbadon, the highest of the Powers, tasked with keeping order within heaven, seemed concerned, his face carried an expression of worry, and he said nothing as he pondered.

Gabriel broke the silence, “What do you make of it Abbadon, your authority as a Power gives you dominion over all of the angels if they break Os’ rules, do we intervene to stop what is clearly preparation for war?”

  “No,” was Abbadon's answer.

Michael was shocked by his answer, “It is his clear intent to wage war against Os, right now he is creating the implements of a rebellion, and we’re going to do nothing about it?”

  “Correct,” was all Abbadon said.

“But why would we not intervene after a clearly hostile act? The angels in the forges have reported meetings between Lucifer and other high ranking angels which seem like very thinly veiled attempts to organize and recruit. Why not at least stop him from producing implements which could be used against us?” Michael pleaded.

“Because it is not the will of Os that we do this. He has instructed my choirs to stand down and allow Lucifer to continue his activities on Kalos,” Abbadon explained.

“Why would he do that? Why would he not stop him now? Is he not aware that Lucifer is plotting against him? Can we request an audience with Os to inform him of what is possibly happening?”
Michael was distraught, unable to comprehend why Os would not take action at a time like this.

“He’s aware,” Abbadon said, once again very stoically.

“How do you know that?” Michael asked.

“I told Os that Lucifer had recruited me to join him in a rebellion against the current ruling powers of heaven. I told Os that Lucifer told me that he is powerful enough to overthrow him and that Lucifer told me that angels who do not join and especially angels who resist the rebellion will be punished severely when the regime is changed. Os told me that there would be no action and that we were to specifically allow Lucifer to continue with these activities, he didn’t explain it, nor did he speak of it again or allow me to speak beyond what I had already said. He dismissed me and refused to discuss it any further.” Abbadon said this with no emotion and looked Michael in the eyes as he said it.

“He recruited you?” Michael said, shocked.

  “Yes,”

  “What did you say?”

“Obviously, I said ’No’ archangel, specifically, that I would remain loyal to Os even if it caused my destruction or an eternity of pain from Lucifer or any of his minions. He promised me a seat at his council and the emperorship of the mountain regions of Aequiss.”

“I was offered Veritas,” Gabriel interjected.

“He recruited you as well?” Michael said shocked.

“Yes,” Gabriel answered, “I wasn’t offered a seat at his council, however. Obviously, he holds Abbadon in higher regard than me, I took a bit of offense to that. Perhaps he does not care for the way in which I delight in irritating him during business on the Heavenly Council,” Gabriel said as a wry smile crossed his face.

“I don’t see how you can find humor in this, are you not concerned about the threat of war in Heaven?” Michael admonished the higher archangel.

“Greatly, I think that both of you feel Os sits idly while these things happen, I will have you know that he has asked me to travel to Lucifer’s palace to announce the arrival of Shalos. Shalos spoke to Lucifer and took him to Earth where he witnessed the wonder of Os’ new creation. Lucifer is a powerful adversary, but he also is impulsive, emotional and has angered many more angels with his previous arrogance and oppressive tactics than has Os. Os’ enemies are there because when you are the most powerful, you are inherently hated. We are too simple-minded to understand his reasoning. Os does not make the wrong decisions, we simply do not understand his inaction on this issue. Those who follow Lucifer do so out of greed and stupidity. No one is going to be fighting for him. If he rallies 3/4 of heaven to his cause, it will be 3 billion individuals against a solidified choir of 1 billion steadfast followers of Os. Even if the only loyal angels are in this room, it is still the entirety of Heaven against us three, Os, Shalos and Entera, the destroyers of the Colossals and the Creators of Heaven. 4 billion against three angels and three Gods, I like those odds. I have heard a majority here on Paradisio, the home of God, want to rebel against Os, that’s fine, it will be a culling of the unfaithful and Os will bring them destruction and punishment. ”

Michael wanted to believe this, but it sounded like bravado from an angel who didn’t want to show his fear. Lucifer was powerful, Michael didn’t doubt that Os was more powerful, but Michael believed that if Lucifer were able to sway many more angels to his cause, the battle would be terrible and all of Heaven and Earth could burn in eternal war.

As if summoned by their conversation, a herald of Lucifer arrived at the gates of Gabriel’s palace.

“Michael, Lucifer summons you to his palace in Excarian City, he has important information to present to you,” the Herald stated.

“If he offers you a seat on the council, I am going to be very upset,” Gabriel laughed again, “You’d better go now archangel, I’ll be arriving shortly after your meeting,” Gabriel stated.

Shield orbs formed around the Herald and Michael and they lifted from Gabriel’s balcony on their way to Excarian City.

  CHAPTER SEVEN

  The Creations

From the silt loam of the fertile fields near Dehlan, Kalos, he took drew the clay. From the oceans of Aequiss he drew life giving water and sodium. Then he electrified the primordial mud and produced life. He laughed at how trivial it was to create the blocks necessary to build life. With the current drawn from storm clouds pouring rains on the jungles of Veritas he was able to transform the mud into a plasma. From this he shaped a being. To match Os’ creations his needed to be capable of reproduction, be sentient and to be self aware. He made an attempt to imbue his creature with all of these traits.

Now in his courtyard, on a secluded palace in the mountain city of Talia, Aequiss, the being rose, standing to face its creator. Vasculature and muscle pulsing, its chest rising and falling and the beat of a living heart all showed that he had crafted a life form.

It’s skinless body was repulsive and wet, blood poured from random orifices. Something was not right, he expected it to die as it wheezed and fell to the ground, crawling at him. To his horror, it would not die however and it came for him, it wanted his skin to close its body, the sentience and intelligence it had were focused on its own survival at any cost including the existence of its creator. It loathed him, hated that he’d brought it into this world to suffer and now it wanted him to pay.

He could feel its anger and hate, through a telepathic link he shared with it, which Os also possessed with his subjects, it let him know its desires. Os would call this method of communicating with his subjects prayer, but prayer was done with solemnity and reverence to one’s God. This beast, this thing, shouted at him with hate and malice.

It crawled to his feet and rose again, he kicked it and it resisted his efforts, it was strong and fast, it screamed at him and beared razor sharp fangs dripping its leaking blood. To fight it was futile, it sensed his movements like a precognition. He had built into it too much dexterity, too much strength and too much speed.

He flew to a corner of the courtyard and the beast rushed at him. Quickly, he waved his hands and drew upon the energies of Heaven, drawing them into himself and then acting as a conduit, exerting his body to open a portal to a fiery realm. The beast could not stop quickly enough and fell into the realm. He closed the portal trapping it within the realm of fire and sulfur.

It was the fourth being that he had created this week. He wanted to build a being that eclipsed Os’ humans in every way, but most importantly he needed creatures that would worship him. Thus far he had only brought life to vicious creatures that hated everything including him. His creations were strong and powerful, awful beasts that sought to tear angels apart and kill every holy thing within the realm of Heaven.

He could not risk having them be discovered. To create life was solely Os’ domain. If he found out that Lucifer dabbled in this type of magic he would grow incensed and seek to destroy him. Since he’d imbued them with such power as he saw fit to out do Os’ creations, including angels, he was unable to destroy these creatures after he’d brought life to them. He was left with one option after fighting the creatures proved futile. He was forced to send each of them to the empty realm, which was not quite so empty anymore. He had populated that place with over six dozen of his attempts at creating life now, each of them more hideous and violent than the previous iteration.

He knew that his sense of urgency and rush to bring to existence a life form that would benefit him and that would see him with the same reverence as the humans saw Os was causing him to make mistakes. It was not that he was incapable of producing something greater, it was the time constraints under which he worked. Os had had millennia to create human beings, he’d brought forth other life forms, allowed them to rise and fall, created worlds, erased them, built life forms, evolved them and then fostered them before he’d been able to produce the humans.

Lucifer simply did not have time for this project. His only option was to use Os’ creation against him. To make the humans his own and to make them see him with the same defe
rence and devotion with which they now saw Os.

  CHAPTER EIGHT

  Procurement of the Innix Trees

It was well known that the Innix tree weakened an angel ever so slightly just by being in proximity to the tree. Their strength waned, and it took longer to heal from injuries they might sustain while doing their duties and work. So it was curious when Lucifer asked, Agariel and Jequel, two archangels to collect many cords of it.

The beautiful tree was draining, but only slightly, the mighty archangels would have no problem cutting and hauling the wood. They would just sense a small reduction in their strength and would feel fatigued during the duration of their labor.

Paradisio was known to have a vast forest full of Innix trees, and the two were dispatched to an area outside the city of Nibiru. They found many Innix trees that day while chopping them down and sawing them into sections, they felt the fatigue and weakness associated with being near the wood.

When they were half complete, they were surprised by a figure in the woods. In white robes, in front of an Innix tree, the figure of Shalos stood before them.

“What task brings you to my father’s forest?” Shalos asked them.

“Lucifer has asked that we gather 10 cords of Innix wood,” Agariel answered.

“For what purpose does he ask that you do this?” Shalos asked.

Agariel and Jequel stood looking at each other with no answer for the Son of Os.

“Do you always blindly follow the commands of the arch-seraph?” Shalos asked and once again was met with blank stares.

“Being in this place strains you and causes you great fatigue and discomfort. You may go, I will finish this task, where does Lucifer ask that this wood be delivered?”

“Veritas,” was the only thing that Agariel could muster from his mouth as he stood before the mighty God. The two then quickly fled from the forest.
