Earth's Angels: The Earth's Angels Trilogy

We watched as Hulaz glided to the front of the craft, but rather than sitting in a captain’s chair or pilot's seat, she stood facing the front glass shield.

Hulaz began to give off a strong glow, and she began to raise her arms out to her sides. It was as if her power was reaching to the craft, and the craft was starting to reach out to her.

Just like the earth healing crafts had the vines appearing beneath them, this craft had silvery, white vines growing out from the craft walls.

When the vines reached Hulaz’s fingertips, they wrapped around her finger, hands and arms. A bright shimmering light flashed as Hulaz and the craft became one.

I turned to look at James and our kids who had also been watching. James looked as if he was catching flies with his mouth agape. The kids were all looking seriously impressed and in absolute awe. When Harrison made eye contact with me, he mouthed the word ‘Wow,’ making me smile.

When the craft began to rise, it made me jump even though it was a smooth ascent. Before long, we were cruising gently and slowly towards a large opening that had appeared in the side of the main craft.

Once we were outside, the ship flashed forward at great speed. I was half expecting to feel my body being pushed back into the seat I was in, just like human astronauts and fighter pilots were, but it didn’t happen.

With no way of telling time, I had no idea how long we had been traveling for, but in less than an hour approximately, we had reached our destination. The craft gently landed on the ground, and the vines detached from Hulaz’s body.

Unwinding from her hands and arms, they melted back into the craft walls. When she stopped glowing, she turned around and used her power to open a door at the back of the craft.

Feeling our seats release their holds, we stepped out into the middle of nowhere; the earth beneath our feet was dust and stones.

“Ouch!” I gasped, as I felt the heat of the ground on the soles of my feet.

Suddenly, we were all leaping back into the craft and breathing a sigh of relief. For a moment, Christik appeared confused and then realization showed on her face.

“I am sorry everyone; we do not feel heat and cold like you do,” she said, rising a palm towards us.

With a bright light from her hand, we were all instantly wearing shoes which were as comfortable as my favorite pair of sketchers. One by one, we stepped out of the craft again, only this time we were comfortable enough in the heat to be able to look around.

As far as my eyes could see, there was nothing but dry dirt and rocks. Some rocks were standing in odd-looking circles, and some were partly buried in the dusty earth. I couldn’t see any signs of civilization anywhere. There were, however, huge collections of stones which looked man-made.

Christik started to glide forward towards some pink stone monoliths, and we all followed behind. Harrik and Hulaz moved towards the smaller stones that were scattered around while we followed Christik.

We kept our eyes on the two angels, curious as to what they were going to do while being careful not to bump into each other. Harrik stopped next to one large cluster of stones, and Hulaz stopped at another further on.

Both angels started to glow as they raised their arms slowly up at their sides. I could feel a vibration in my feet as the stones began to move before our eyes. The stones which were buried rose from the earth, moving into place alongside the others effortlessly, forming perfect circles. Some stones moved above the top of the arid soil until they were in place, and then they sunk in the earth as if the ground were as soft as butter.

“We are here; if you could stand back a little please,” Christik said.

She stopped in front of a massive slab of pink stone, which looked as if it had been carved into the side of a natural rock face. There was a deep groove down either side of what seemed to be a stone door. At the bottom was an alcove, large enough for a human to stand inside easily.

As we watched with intrigue, Christik raised her arms out and began to glow brightly. I could feel not only a vibration in my feet this time but also a strong breeze forming, blowing through my hair and thin gown.

The ground started to vibrate more strongly, and tiny glittering specks began to rise up from the ground. In a matter of minutes, we were all surrounded with a swirling and glittering wind; it was like something out of a fairy tale.

“This is so magical,” Holly shouted above the noise of the wind.

I felt a hand on my arm, and I turned to see Anthony next to me.

“What do you think she’s doing, Mom?” he asked above the din.

I was just as confused as he was and shrugged my shoulders.

“I have no idea son,” I replied loudly, but I wasn’t sure if he’d heard me.

When I looked back to Christik, she was turning her palms up towards the sky, and the glittering wind was beginning to swirl above them. She then turned her hands again, so they were facing the stone door, deflecting the glittering flecks until they started to collect in the deep grooves on the sides of the door.

As more and more flecks collected, I realized that it was gold coming up from the ground. The gold glowed as it became hotter until it was molten in the grooves.

By the time the deep grooves were full of molten gold, Harrik and Hulaz were back with us and were now standing a small distance away from Christik. Both had their glowing palms out as if waiting for something.

Christik turned her palms towards them, redirecting the gold to both waiting angels. While the gold being was transferred to the two angels, I noticed that hieroglyphs were appearing on the gold inside the grooves.

Soon Hulaz and Harrik had a massive amount of gold swirling between their hands, and in the next second, they were gone. The wind gradually died down, and Christik was no longer glowing.

We all looked windswept apart from Christik who looked immaculate as always. The girls and I had hair all over the place as if we’d been dragged through a bush.

“Where have they gone?” I asked while sweeping my hair out of my face and trying to get it under control again.

Holly and Abigail were trying to do the same thing.

“They have gone to activate the other six-star passages that are here on Earth. We will know when they are all active. This one is called Amaru Muru or Gate of the gods, as the Inca people called it. It is one of many here and around your world,” Christik told us. “There is a sacred lake between all the star passage gateways, and beneath the water is an ancient city called Titicaca, which we helped the Inca tribes build. The Inca tribes tried to protect our gateways for a very long time,” she added.

“Christik look,” Abigail said, pointing to the gateway.

We all turned to look at what she was pointing at, and the stone door was beginning to glow. Small glowing tendrils of gold were forming and moving downwards towards the alcove at the bottom. I hadn’t noticed before, but there seemed to be a circular indentation in the gateway alcove too.

The gold started to collect and swirl in the circle, and abruptly the pink stone door vanished. What replaced the stone was some kind of energy barrier, similar to the barriers the angels used at the holding room on the main craft.

When I looked behind me to see if James and the kids were watching what I was seeing, I realized that the stone circles Harrick and Hulaz created were all glowing with energy too. I was just about to speak when Harrik and Hulaz suddenly reappeared.

“It is done Christik, and the Viziers are activating the last one now,” Harrik told her with a dip of his head. Christik dipped her head in response, and all three of the angels looked up to the sky.

I didn’t know what they were looking for, but automatically we all followed suit, staring up into the clouds. I looked for anything unusual, but it all looked normal to me.

A couple of minutes later, I could feel an energy in the air; the hairs on my arms prickled and stood to attention on my skin. James and the kids ran their hands down their arms too, mirroring my own actions.

A thrum behind us made us all look around to the gateway. Lightning shot out from the top of the now open star passage, it spread up and outwards in huge arcs. We all quickly turned to face where it was heading, and in the distance, we could see more lightning coming to meet it.

In absolute wonderment, we all watched the lightning connect and spread out across the sky. In between the streaks of energy, a golden barrier was forming, encasing our planet. Who’d have thought or believed that the earth had this technology and defense system the whole time, without us even knowing? It was blowing my mind.

“It is done; we may return to the main craft,” Christik said as she began to glide back towards the smaller craft.

I think we were all still quite stunned by what we’d just witnessed, as we embarked on the small craft. We took our seats again, and Hulaz began to fly us back.

“I still can’t believe this was all here for that purpose, and we didn’t have a clue,” James said as he reached out a hand to mine.

When I turned to face him, he wore the same astonished look that the kids wore.

  Harrik smiled at James’ statement.

“The evidence has been here for thousands of your earth years. Some of your people discovered what we had built with your ancestors, but, unfortunately, the majority of your people would not believe their theories,” he told us.

“It was a great loss to us, discovering that so much knowledge was lost over time,” Christik said softly. “We taught your ancient civilizations methods of healing the body, how to use green energies, and agricultural techniques. All of which were natural, and in harmony with your planet,” she added.

“I don’t understand why all that knowledge was lost,” I told them, feeling very confused and honestly, frustrated as hell.

“You are not the only race who has erased natural knowledge for power and greed,” Christik said without judgement. “Many races we have encountered have ignored what is natural and free to procure wealth and power from others. Unfortunately, they didn’t realize how damaging it was to their planets until it was too late either.”

Christik and Harrik were definitely giving us all food for thought.

“Are you using all this knowledge to heal our planet?” James asked them.

“Yes, we can show you our natural agricultural methods when we return to our main craft, if you would like James,” Harrik replied enthusiastically.

All of us showed an interest in learning how they were healing the Earth. The angels seemed to appreciate our eagerness to learn from them.

The rest of the journey back to the main craft was full of light conversations and banter between James and the kids. It filled my heart with happiness watching my family enjoy each other’s company.

It was very different from seven years ago when the kids were so engrossed with their phones, gadgets and social media. Back then, we had to prise them away from their gadgets and ask them to put their phones away to appreciate what was around them. Now our kids were engaged in life and eager to learn as well as willing to try new things.

As sad as it was that our planet had begun to die, the silver lining was the new appreciation our younger generation now had for each other and their planet. I felt even more hopeful that our race wouldn’t make the same mistakes again.

When we arrived at the main craft, the angels arranged to collect us from our rooms after we’d eaten and freshened up. It was bliss having a shower after our trip. As I washed my body in the cleansing water, I felt as if I was washing away half of Peru. The dry, dusty soil had apparently got into every orifice, especially after Christik had generated the wind.

After we’d all freshened up and sat down for the meal the angels had provided for us, the kids and James were full of conversation, excitedly discussing what we’d learned earlier and how they’d all like to use the ancient techniques.

Before long, Harrik and Hulaz arrived, and on our way to the agricultural section of the craft, the kids asked a lot more questions.

As I watched the kids interacting with the two angels, I was again aware of a strong connection between Harrik and Hulaz. Harrik appeared mesmerized by Hulaz when she spoke to the kids, and she was in awe of him when he spoke.

Walking down the long main corridor, we soon arrived at the section where all the large rooms were for the plants. We’d walked past them a number of times before, but this was going to be our first time actually going inside.

Hulaz approached one of the large archways; the big, glass doors were wet on the inside with water droplets slowly running down. We were all excited to enter. She used her power to open the doors, and as the doors opened, I felt a small gust of moist air wash over me.

Hulaz led the way, and as we walked into the room, the scene before me took my breath away. The room was massive and extremely long, filled with various plants as far as my eyes could see.

What surprised me the most was the large tanks of water that were there, which were filled with large fish leisurely swimming around. On top of the tanks were flourishing plants with their long roots swaying in the water amongst the fish.

“Wow, Zanika told me about this?” I said to Harrik, who was following closely behind us.

He smiled at my surprise and amazement.

“This is an agricultural technique which we taught the Aztecs and Mayan civilizations. They used natural bodies of water, and man-made canals to grow their food. Unfortunately, we cannot do that until your planet has healed more.

“How does this system work?” James asked, completely in awe.

Out of the two of us, James had always been the gardener with the green thumbs. We’d had a beautiful garden, and it was all through James’ hard work. As for me, I’d kill anything green. Not on purpose of course, but I was the only person I knew who could kill a cactus.

“It is a very simple method, with the plants and fish thriving together in harmony,” Harrik told us. “We call it the Chinampas technique. The fish feed from the algae which grows on the roots, and the plants feed off the waste from the fish.

“So, the fish and the plants nourish the other?” James asked, in total awe with his eyes nearly popping out of his head.

“That is exactly how it works,” Hulaz added to the conversation.

She smiled at Harrik with so much love I just had to finally ask.

“Are you two married?” I questioned curiously, smiling at them both.

Both of the angels smiled back at me with their eyes sparkling, as they then looked adoringly at each other.

“Yes, we are what you class as married,” Hulaz said softly. “We call it pairing because we are all halves, and when we find our other half, the pair becomes a whole,” she explained.

“That’s beautiful,” Holly said, letting out a sigh.

“You are definitely my other half, my lady,” James said as he took my hand in his, lifting it to his lips and kissing the back of my hand.

“Get a room!” The kids all said in unison, making us all laugh including the angels.

“Come, we will show you around,” Hulaz said proudly, once we’d all composed ourselves again.

The angels gave us a fabulous tour of the growing room, and it was much larger than we’d first thought. There were plants from all over the world in the room, some of which were very strange.

“Many plants are not native to our country. Are you going to plant them here too?” James asked.

“Some of them, yes James. We plant what will make your planet thrive, not just the plants that are native to your specific regions,” Hulaz replied.

We carried on with the tour for another hour or so, all asking questions about their techniques and how we could learn them. By the time we got back to our rooms, we were completely worn out. We must have walked miles throughout the day, and I was personally feeling exhausted.

After eating the waiting meal, the angels had provided, and talking with the children about the strange but amazing day we’d all had, I showered and fell into b
ed. Within minutes, I was asleep with James cuddling me from behind.

The Marilians are here in their thousands, their blood red eyes darting here and there, searching for their next victim to cut and turn into one of them. I’m frozen in shock as I witness people laying on the ground, writhing in agony as they begin to turn.

Their bodies are jolting as the blood in their vein’s changes; their skin is starting to turn a dark brown, and their eyes change to blood red. I turn to our kids behind us “RUN !!” I scream into their terrified faces.

I didn’t know that I’d screamed out loud until James woke me, with his hands on my shoulders trying to shake me awake. Pushing him away from me, I sat bolt upright in the bed trying to catch my breath. For a moment, I felt as if I couldn’t breathe, my lungs struggling to take in any air. I felt a panic all through making me shake all over.

“Slow deep breaths, baby, slow and deep; it’s okay; you’re safe,” James soothed.

When my breathing started to get under control, and my heart slowed to a more regular rhythm, James wrapped his arms around me. I clung to my husband as if my life depended on it.

“They are definitely coming James; I saw them,” I whispered. “I don't understand how I know, but they are coming for us James, in their thousands.”

The look on James' face said it all!

  Chapter 15

Two months had passed, and it was the big day. The first big meeting at the angels’ holding structure, the residence of our fellow humans where we were going to find out who among the new community had what skills that we could use to help defend our planet.

It had been a very busy couple of months. The viziers had been busy building relationships with the humans in their care. Also, we had all been busy finding the families of the sleeping women in preparation of waking them up.

I should have been feeling thrilled and excited about seeing the holding structure, or the Cruiser as the kids called it for the first time. Instead, I was feeling as sick as a pig with morning sickness. ‘Oh, deep joy!’ I thought.
