Clash (The Forever Duet #2)

“Not a chance in hell, baby.”
With my bag clutched to my chest, I throw punches to his shoulder with my free hand.
“Hit me all you want, Bon. I’m not letting you go.”
We’re both soaked through from the rain when we reach his car.
“I’m gonna put you down now and you’re going to do as you're told. I can’t take not touching you any longer.” He lets go of my legs and a puddle of water splashes up my skin. I barely feel it though because the promise from the seductive and no-bullshit tone of his voice has my knickers damp in seconds. He opens the passenger door before taking my bag from me and throwing it inside closing that door and then opening the back door. “Get in,” he orders, leaving me no room to fight him on this. With my dress now clinging to me even more than it was, I climb into the back of his car and watch as he follows in behind me, slamming the door once he’s in.
“Don’t think for one minute that I don’t want you because I do. I always want you. It’s that bad that I’m now sleeping in the spare room at home.”
My jaw drops at his confession, and he takes the opportunity to mash his lips with mine. I’m too tired to fight him anymore. I want him—I want him so bad; I can feel myself falling for him.
“Fuck, Bon. Even covered in rain you taste amazing,” he says against my bruised lips.
Next, he tugs at the waist of my dress making me lift my arse off the seat so he can pull it all the way off. Throwing it over onto the front seats, his lips come back to mine and as we lose ourselves in the kiss, I remove his suit jacket before untucking his shirt so I can run my fingers over his taut abs.
“Jesus, I fucking love it when you touch me, baby,” he whispers against my lips.
There’s not much room for us to work with in this car, and I need this ache he’s created deep within me taken care of. Pushing him back so his back is against the seat, I swing my leg over him and straddle his waist. “I need you to fuck me, and I need you to do it now,” I tell him as I grip his face in my hands and look him straight in the eye so he can see how serious I am.
“For you, baby, I’m willing to do anything.” He pulls the cups of my lacy black bra down so my boobs are pushed up, practically to my chin. When his lips and tongue latch on, I almost come there and then.
My hips take on a mind of their own: those fuckers just won’t stop grinding against his length that’s still tucked in his trousers. “Shit, yes,” I moan.
Letting my nipple go with a pop, and with my head thrown back, he taps my thigh before saying, “Lift up, baby.”
Quickly doing as I’m asked, he wraps his hand around the elastic waistband of my black lacy knickers, tearing them straight from my body and causing me to gasp. With my underwear now removed, he frees himself from the confines of his trousers and his hard dick brushes against my clit.
“I can smell how much you’re turned on from here. Come here, Bon. I need to be inside you, now.”
Wordlessly, I lower myself onto him and immediately know I’m where I’m supposed to be. It feels like home. In this position I can feel him in me so much deeper than ever before, and the feeling is heavenly.
We both start to move our hips in sync, our breaths steam up the windows and we moan loudly at how fantastic it feels. Neither one of us gives two fucks if we get caught. He grips my hips, slamming me down on him further, if that's even possible.
“Fuck, shit. Yes!” I scream, my voice echoing all around his car.
“You grip me so good, baby.” One of his hands leaves my hips and he brings it between us to thumb my clit. “I want to feel you come all over my dick. Do it, Bon. Do it for me.”
His dirty words are like a direct bomb to my girl parts because without warning, my legs stiffen and my inner walls clench around his solid dick that’s still pumping in and out of me. My orgasm rips through my entire body. “Jesus, Neil. I’m coming.”
“Yeah you are, baby. I can feel you.” A few moments later he follows me over the edge, spilling himself into me, our breaths mingling into one as we ride out the epic sex that has just occurred right here on his back seat.
As our breathing regulates and he leans in to kiss me, there's a knock on the window.
“Neil, are you in there? I forgot to give you something earlier on.”
Shit.
Serena.
Chapter Sixteen
Neil
“Shit.” Bonnie's eyes are as wide as saucers. Only she could catch us like this.
Fuck!
Placing my finger against Bonnie's lips, I silence her and motion for her to lie down across the seat. Luckily, the windows are blacked out so Serena can’t see inside. Another rap comes on the window…
“Neil.” Serena calls. “I know you’re in there: the car’s moving I’m not stupid.”
Lifting my arse off the seat I pull my trousers back up and fasten them while quickly doing up the buttons on my shirt. “Are you ready to come out and tell her.”
“No.”
Reaching between the seats I grab her wet, screwed up dress and throw it onto her, smiling while my gaze greedily tracks back down her sexy body. Running my hand up her leg I reach the globes of her arse and squeeze lightly. “Wait here. I’ll see if I can sort this out first.
Stepping out from the back of my car, I’m greeted with a frowning, confused Serena.
“Why are you in the back, and why are you wet?”
Running a hand through my damp hair, I think on my feet. “I was talking to one of the guys from the office on the way out and we got caught in the downpour. I always keep a spare change of clothes in the boot. You caught me halfway through getting my clothes off, so I shoved my wet shirt back on.” The lie rolls from my tongue so easily, you’d think I always get myself into these predicaments. I’m so disappointed in myself right now, but that’s because I always do the right thing. However, I don’t regret a minute I’ve spent with Bonnie.
“Oh, shit. Sorry.” She hands me the file and I place it under my arm. ‘Erm, you haven’t seen Bonnie, have you? Only her cars over there but she’s nowhere to be found.”
“Oh yeah. She got a taxi back: her car wouldn’t start. I offered her a lift, but she refused.” I shrug. “I still don’t think she’s talking to me after the Tommy business.” There’s another lie to add to my mental list. They’re just falling out of me tonight.
I’m going to hell for this.
“Yeah, she wasn’t too happy... Okay, I’ll give her a call. I’ll let you get home then. See you tomorrow.”
Hiding my grin from Serena, I wait for her to walk away and get into her Range Rover. As she starts the engine, I hold up a hand and wave before jumping back into the back. I sigh with relief that it's over with and drop my head on the back of the seat. Bonnie sits up and tries to pull her dress over her head, but it’s so wet she can’t manage it.
“You can’t wear that. Hang on.” Getting out of the car and going around to the boot, I unzip my gym bag and pull out my joggers and T-shirt. “Put these on for now.’
“Awww, you’re such a gentleman.”
Leaning towards her I take her lips in a hard kiss. “I wouldn't say that would you?” I mumble against her lips grinning. “Get some clothes on because I can’t promise I’ll be good if I keep looking at your amazing body.” I plant another kiss on her. “Plus, you’re shivering.” Leaving her to dress, I go into the front seat and put the heating on. She comes around to the front and gets in. My clothes are about two sizes too big for her, but like with everything she wears, she makes them work.
“I’m making a severe fashion statement looking like this.” She drops her shoes to the floor of the footwell and slides her feet into them. “I totally rock this outfit.”
Giving her a grin, I sit back against the seat. “What are we going to do, Neil? Did you mean what you said earlier?”
“Which part?”
“About sleeping arrangements at home.”
/> “Yep.” Picking up her hand and placing it in mine I softly rub my thumb across her knuckles. “I promise you I’ll sort this.”
Lifting her hand to my lips, I kiss her knuckles. “I know this isn’t the perfect situation, but you can’t help what the heart wants. I’ve denied myself for so long.”
She pulls her hand from my grip and drops it in her lap. “I’d better get going.” She turns between the chairs to grab her bag and as she does her phone rings. I fish it out of the crap that I know she keeps in there and she looks at the screen mouthing, ‘Serena’ to me. She swipes across the screen and brings the phone to her ear.
“Yeah I’m just sorting my car out and I’ll call you back.”
Listening to her one-sided conversation puts me a little on edge. At some point, we’re going to have to come clean, but I'm hoping I have more time. Plus, Serena is a crazy bitch. She'll kick my ass.
Bonnie drops her phone into her bag and leans across to me, slides her hand around the back of my neck and inches me forward. As soon as our lips touch, that spark that is always there between us, ignites. Cradling her face, I lick through the seam of her lips, tangling our tongues together and use this to my advantage until she begins to pull away breaking the connection.
“I have to go.” With a small smile she pulls the handle on the door and gets out, leaving me to my thoughts. Licking my lips and savouring her taste, I watch her walk away from me yet again.
Feeling in a good mood for once, I turn my key in the door and go into the house. I put my keys on the table and head through to the kitchen, grabbing a Pepsi Max.
A door slams behind me causing me to spin around. Sarah is there with her arms folded against her chest, an angry look on her face and her foot tapping on the floor. I know this stance: she’s pissed as hell.
“What the fuck has been going on, Neil?
Pulling on the ring of my can and opening it up, I take a swig and put it down on the table. “Can we do this later? I need to get out of these clothes.”
“Why did you come back here? Why didn’t you just go to Bonnie’s. I mean that’s who you’ve been shagging isn’t it?”
The wind gets knocked out of me, and my stomach bottoms out.
Fuck!
I hadn’t wanted it to go down like this. If anything, I owe her an explanation. I respect her that much.
My arse drops down onto the settee, defeated. “Sarah, I can explain…”
“Really? Well this is all I needed.” She hangs a white piece of paper from her fingers. “I had my suspicions that you were cheating on me, but I didn’t want to believe it. More fool me.”
“What the fuck is that?” Getting up I swipe it from her fingers and open it up.
If I were you, I’d speak to your boyfriend about who he’s sleeping with…
I ball the paper up, scrunching it in my fist and throwing onto the settee.
“Are you going to deny it? At least have some dignity, Neil. I knew something was happening when you carried on sleeping in the spare room. Well, guess what, you haven’t got a bed at fucking all now. Pack your things and get out.”
She goes to storm past, but I stop her. “I’m sorry.”
“Fuck you, Neil. I thought Dylan was bad. Well, congratulations you've just earned a step up from him.” After giving me a look that could kill me on the spot, she storms away but pauses at the door. “I knew it was her, you know. I saw the way you looked at her the day I turned up at your office. You disgust me.” At that she spins around and leaves the room.
The first person on my mind, though, and who I should speak to is Bonnie. I need to let her know about the letter, but I need to tell her what’s going on with me and Sarah.
Entering the bedroom, I’m met with Sarah pulling all my clothes out of the wardrobe while I strip out of my damp and creased suit. I change into a pair of joggers and clean T-shirt and grab a hoodie.
“Going to your whore’s now are ya?”
Pulling the hoodie over my head, I step into a pair of trainers and head out the bedroom ignoring her.
“You’ve got til tomorrow to get your stuff.”
Her threat stops me in my tracks, and I slowly turn to look her in the face. “I’ll leave it for tonight, Sarah, but let's get something straight: this is my house. I bought it; you moved in with me. So, I’ll give you twenty-four hours to find somewhere else to live.” Grabbing my wallet and sliding my phone into my pocket, I leave her having a tantrum in the bedroom. It’ll cause a bigger shitstorm, and in all fairness, I just want to get out of here. I grab the balled-up piece of paper and pick up my car keys from the table, slamming the door behind me.
Pulling up outside Bonnie’s, I spend longer in the car than I should, debating whether or not I should go to Dylan’s instead. I watch as lights turn on and off, and I know I can’t put this off. Locking my car, I walk up her path, knock on the door and wait patiently.
When Bonnie opens the door, I take a second to admire her form. Her hair is wet and pulled up into a bun and she has fleecy pyjamas on.
Instead of saying anything, I step up, cradle her face in my hands and I kiss her. “God, I needed that.” With my eyes closed, loving the feeling of just having her close to me, I hear a voice asking about the takeaway. I daren’t open them because I know who that is.
“What the fuck is going on?”
Oh fuck.
“Can I run?”
Looking around Bonnie, I face the wrath that is Serena.
“Somebody had better start talking and I don’t want any bullshit.”
Fisting my hoodie, Bonnie pulls me through the door before slamming it shut and throwing me to the wolves.
Chapter Seventeen
Bonnie
Girls night in is just what I’ve needed. When Serena called me back and suggested she come over for food and wine, I jumped at the chance. I hated Neil lying to her for me, but whilst we figure all of this out, that’s just how it’s gonna have to be.
There were so many questions I’d wanted to ask him: what it is we are actually doing? Are we just fucking, or does he want more from me? He said he and Sarah are sleeping in separate rooms at home, but should I believe him? I mean, he did lie to Serena easily. It didn’t phase him one bit. My head is all kinds of fucked up over him, and I don’t know what I’m gonna do. So, for one night, I plan to not think about him or the amazing sex. I know I’m lying to myself, telling myself that I’m not going to think about the way he turns my body into jelly and my knees so weak has me squirming on the spot.
Gripping onto the kitchen counter, I squeeze my thighs together and try my hardest to rid my mind of thoughts of the things that man does to me. Just when I think I’m going to have to go upstairs and sort myself out, there’s a knock on my front door.
Serena is finally here.
Blowing out a breath, I push away from the counter and let her in.
“Hey, bitch tits. I brought wine.” She lifts both hands in the air and shakes two bottles of white in my face, which causes me to laugh.
“Fab!”
She steps over the threshold but stops in her tracks. “Neil said your car was broken down in the car park at the office?” Confusion mars her face as she looks back over her shoulder at my car parked at the curb.
Shit. Think quick, Bonnie.
“Erm, yeah. It was just a flat battery. I got someone to come and change it for me and then the mechanic dropped it off about thirty minutes ago.” I feel my cheeks flush with the lie that just rolled off my tongue, so to stop Serena from seeing straight through me, I quickly leave her at the open front door and head back into the kitchen to get some glasses. I hear the door slam shut and just as I’m placing the glasses onto my small kitchen table, Serena comes into the kitchen and goes straight for the draw, pulling out the corkscrew.
“Right, what are we eating? Because I am fucking starving.” And to drive her point forward even more and as if on cue, her stomach growls
and we both laugh. “See! I’m famished.”
“I can tell. Doesn’t Dylan feed you?” I pop the cork on the bottle and pour wine in our glasses. Just as I’m heading to the fridge and as I’m waiting for her to answer me, there’s a banging on my front door.
I look to Serena, who just shrugs her shoulders at me before saying, “Don’t look at me. I told Dylan tonight is girls’ night and that he wasn’t to crash it. Are you expecting anyone?”
My stomach drops out of my arse when I think of who it could be. He has a habit of just turning up unannounced, and I haven’t heard from him since I left him in the office car park.
He wouldn’t. Would he? If it is him then something has happened.
“Well… aren’t you going to see who it is?” Serena asks as she takes a sip of her wine.
“Yeah, I’m going.”
Fuck.
Slowly dragging my feet to the door and with my nerves shot to shit, I open it and as soon as there’s enough space between the open door and us, he takes all of me in—fleecy pyjamas and all—right before he kisses the life out of me on my doorstep, murmuring something about how he needed that kiss.
I hear Serena in the background mentioning something about the food and we both stiffen.
When I hear a gasp behind me and Serena asking, “What the fuck,” the look of fear on Neil’s face has me almost laughing. If there’s one woman he is scared of, it’s Serena. I don’t laugh at the current situation as much as I want to, though. I stop myself. I’ve been lying to my best friend, and she’s about to find out what we’ve been up to.
Nothing about this situation is funny really. I’ve become something that she despises.
Neil asks if he can run, breaking me from my thoughts, before I take a hold of the hoodie he’s wearing and pull him through the door.
Time to face the consequences of our actions.
