I would never make you happy if you stayed. Not now. You're right. You would resent me and so would I because I'd wonder if we were...if I were enough.”
Two weeks later, Lacey moved to Boston. She had second guessed herself enough. She had to find out what she really wanted. Mason was right. They wouldn't have been happy if she had stayed. She had to follow a path of her own. So did he. They stayed in touch for a while, but eventually all communication ended.
