The Lusty Librarian

“I’m so sorry you’re sick, Sam. Do you need me to come down?”
And she would do it too. “No, it’s okay, Mom. I’ll live. Um, about Cooper…”
“What? When do we get to meet him?” she interrupted.
“Soon,” Sam said. “He should be back from his conference Friday afternoon. So maybe next weekend, if he’s not too tired?”
“Perfect. I’d like to meet this man who’s stolen your heart. Do you think he’ll marry you?”
“I don’t know. We’ve only been together about a month. It’s a little soon, and I don’t know if I want to marry again anyway.”
“Still miss Jay?”
“Yeah, but being with Cooper helps.”
“Well then I’m glad you have him. I really am. Take care, honey,” her mother said, hanging up the phone.
Sam plugged it back into the charger, gulped down two aspirins and went back to bed.

Cooper got through his second day of meetings. The museum he had recently been employed to manage was a member of a clan of museums around the country. The directors he answered to insisted he do a tour and meet his counterparts. These first two days had been spent in three neighbouring cities on the west coast where the directors were based. It had been heavy going trying to negotiate a fair share of the available funding with the others more experienced and knowing the organisational ropes far better than Cooper did.
He checked his messages as soon as he was out of the building and on the street. Sam was feeling better. That was good news. He would give her a call later, but he needed food first. There was room service in his hotel across the street or a quaint little English pub he had seen only a block away.
He hurried along and found the establishment pretty full. He ordered the fish and chips to eat at the bar. The place reminded him of home. Not England, but Australia, where the older style pubs were still rather British. The big windows with ledges where you could rest your beer looking out at the street, the high set round tables and stools, the noisy bar and general cramped surrounds, the absence of any formal dining area and big greasy looking counter meals… this was perfect.
Perfect… except there was no Samantha Ericson on the stool next to him.
Cooper was finding it difficult to string two thoughts together without the notion of his new girlfriend interrupting. He had been getting into trouble losing track of the conversation at his meetings the past few days.
“Sir? Hello, sir?” Someone was waving a hand to get his attention. It was the waiter with his meal, offering a tray of condiments for him to use. He sprinkled some salt and took a few extra slices of lemon.
It had been a long time since Cooper had last been like this… unable to concentrate and constantly daydreaming about a woman. Samantha was a terrific mixture of intelligent and sweet, though. Plus she was very warm hearted, he had noticed in the way she dealt with everyone around her. And she was well thought of and respected around town, which meant she was genuine. She had been within the community for too long to be pretending. ‘Never take any notice of family’ was Cooper’s motto. If a person has the respect and admiration of their friends and colleagues, that’s a real recommendation. No… he had been burned by his last love, finding out over time she had a whole other side to her personality.
Plus Samantha is hot. No, not just hot… she’s seriously sexy. Hiding under those frumpy librarian clothes like that. Hair up in a bun like some frigid old spinster… Frumpy and frigid? Not in the least. Try hot and naughty.
Cooper chuckled. He wrote sex stories. Fantasy ones. His ideal character had stepped off the page and come to life. His new girlfriend was better than any heroine he could construct. She was sexier, and more adorable with her warm brown eyes and sweet little blush. And more than that, she was the kind of girl he would be proud to take home to meet his mum.
“Is everything alright, sir?”
“Huh? Yeah. Fine.”
The waiter moved on. Cooper had forgotten about his meal. He shook off another of those silly daydreams and tucked in.

“Hey, baby, how are you feeling?”
Cooper was back at his hotel room. He had showered and was naked except for a bath robe.
“I’m fine thanks, darling,” his girlfriend replied sweetly. “How was your day? Did you get funding for the new local history display?”
“Yeah, I think so. I’m not certain yet. It will come down to how much the Mayor is going to be able to find. The directors want fifty percent local funding.”
“Oh. Well I hope it works out… I’m missing you.”
“You are? How much?”
There was a pause. Cooper grinned. He could almost hear Samantha pouting. “A lot! Don’t you miss me too?”
“Oh, yeah, I miss you, baby.” Cooper squeezed his cock. It was already quite firm. “I’m looking at your picture right now.”
“You are? Which picture?”
“The one I took with my phone the other morning.”
“Oh, not that one! That’s terrible. My hair was a mess. I wasn’t even properly awake.”
“I know, but I can see some boob.”
There was a giggle. “You’re hopeless, Cooper!”
“I know. It’s been two days, though… what are you wearing now, sexy lady?”
“Um…” There was another pause. “I’m ready for bed actually.”
Cooper chuckled. “Perfect. Is your robe open?”
“Yes.”
“Pyjamas or one of your satin chemises?”
“Pyjamas… What are you wearing, bad boy?”
“Just my blue bath robe. Nothing under it.”
“Oh… Um… Okay. I like the sound of that.”
“My dick is really hard, baby. Are your nipples hard? Would you feel them for me… give them a little tweak?”
“Mmm, okay, I’m doing it.” Her voice had softened to a breathy whisper.
“Aw, I’m so fucking hard, sweetheart. I’m stroking right now, slow and firm. I’m starting to drip pre-come.”
“Hmm… you tease. I want to stroke you.”
“I want you to stroke me, baby. But only if your pussy’s wet. Is it wet now?”
There was another moan that became a sigh. “I don’t know. I think so.”
“Check it, sweetheart. See how wet you are.”
There was a loud knocking sound audible through the phone.
“Is that there?”
“Yes, there’s someone at the door,” Sam explained. “Oh, no, it’s my stupid brother! What on Earth does he want?”
“Oh, shit. Now I’m going to have blue balls,” Cooper whined with a chuckle.
“Well, just keep going without me.” There was another loud knock on the door. “I have to go, darling. Call me tomorrow?”
“No, let’s Skype tomorrow night, okay, baby? Say hello to your brother for me. I can’t wait to meet him.”
“Oh, you can wait. Trust me!” Sam said, laughing. “Okay, we’ll Skype tomorrow night.”
5
Sam opened the door and regarded her brother with a sour expression. Phone sex wasn’t as good as the real thing, but it was better than nothing. And now she was even more pent up than before. And why on Earth is Patrick here? He never comes here. He lives on Mom and Dad’s ranch and manages the stock sales and feeding schedules.
“Well?” the curly-haired man said, lifting one eyebrow and plucking at his reddish-brown moustache. “Are you going to invite me in, Sam, or leave me standing in the cold?”
“It’s February in Texas, Pat, and almost sixty degrees. But come on.” She sighed and stepped aside, allowing her brother into her living room.
“Jeez you’re crabby tonight, Sam,” he groused. “I might think you didn’t want to see me. What’s stuck in your craw?”
Cooper is… or rather he isn’t. And that’s the problem. I miss my boyfriend. But Patrick didn’t approve of her dating, so she only said, “Sorry. I haven’t been feeling well.
”
He grabbed her around the shoulders and tangled up her hair.
“Stop it, Pat,” she snapped, squirming. You’re not thirteen anymore. Try to act like an adult, please?”
He sighed. “Still the same old grouchy Sam aren’t you?”
“Still the same old walking adolescent, aren’t you?”
“Cool off, sis. I didn’t come to argue.”
“Why did you then?”
“I’ll tell you, but man am I dry. You ever start stocking beer? Or am I stuck with iced tea as usual?”
I’m not telling him about Cooper’s six pack in the fridge. Sam concealed a grin. “Tea it is.” She indicated the couch and walked into the kitchen.
“Hey, you bullshitter. There’s beer in here!” He grabbed a can and popped the top, taking a long swallow. Sam considered getting mad. Patrick felt a little too free to wander through her house. But in the end she just rolled her eyes. There was more beer at the grocery store and Cooper would not be home until Friday. She sank down into a high-backed wooden chair at her round kitchen table and let a breeze from the open window cool her flushed face.
Patrick grabbed a second chair, turned it around backwards, and straddled it. “Well, the official reason I’m here is to remind you that Mom is giving Dad a surprise birthday party next weekend and your royal presence is requested.”
Sam made a face at his sarcastic gibe. Patrick stroked his goatee. “But I think Mom just wanted me to check you out and see how you’re doing. You haven’t been calling enough lately, and she worries about you. Come on, Sam. Can you make time to call your aging mother once a week?”
“I call her every week,” Sam replied. “Just not always on the same day. I have a life too, you know? Sometimes I’m busy on Saturday afternoon. But I always call either Saturday night or Sunday. I haven’t missed a single week.” And he doesn’t seem to know about Cooper, thank goodness. Though she was sure her Mom was expecting her boyfriend to attend the party so she could finally meet him. Sam had to concede that it was time.
“That’s a hoot,” Patrick guffawed. “The shy little librarian has a life. What do you do? Go to meetings of the board? Attend a knitting club?”
Sam contemplated for a moment. “Well, last weekend I drove up to the city.”
“Bullshit.”
“No, it’s true. I met a man in a bar and spent the night with him.” She grinned.
“You’re a rotten liar, Sam.”
She smirked. “Why? Only one person in this family is allowed to have sex?” she asked innocently.
He gave her a dark look but didn’t answer.
Sam suddenly became aware her painkiller was wearing off. The lingering throbbing in her right temple was making itself known. “Whatever, Pat,” she said. “Stay here and drink your beer. I need a couple of Aspirin. I’ll be right back.”
She left him still straddling the kitchen chair, his face a study in confusion as he no doubt pondered whether she truly had had a one night stand last weekend. Wouldn’t he hate to know the truth? That I did… with my boyfriend. Grinning despite her growing headache, she walked down the hardwood floor of the hallway to her bedroom, past the bed where she and Cooper had made love so many times. I would love for him just to sleep there with me all the time. That would be fantastic. She entered the tiny en suite where her bottle of headache pills waited in the mirrored medicine chest over the outdated white scalloped sink, along with a collection of Dixie cups. Grabbing the bottle, she shook two into her hand and popped them in her mouth before collecting a cup and running herself a drink of the less than delicious tap water. Whatever. This was no time to be fussy.
“What the fuck is this?” Her brother’s voice roared from the bedroom. Sam choked on the water.
She knew what he was looking at. Shit.
Still coughing, she confronted her brother. “I did NOT invite you to come into my bedroom, Patrick,” she snarled.
“I asked you a question, Samantha. What is this?” He waved at her bedside table where she had placed a digital photo frame. Just as I thought. The image on the screen showed a shot of her, taken from above as she knelt. Her mouth was stretched around a thick erection. The expression in her eyes was one of utter submission. Before she could move, the picture changed to one of her, naked on the bed, her legs spread and one hand on her pussy. Cooper had brought his camera and recorded these images for her two weeks ago.
“Don’t look at that,” she cried, jamming the photo frame into her drawer. Inside was more incriminating evidence. Bottles of lube and a small collection of sexy toys.
“Well,” Patrick harrumphed. “I would never have expected my prim and proper sister to act like such a whore.”
She almost hit him. “I’m not. Cooper is my boyfriend. We’ve been dating a while. There’s nothing wrong with this, and it’s none of your business.”
“Ha,” he said. “You think it’s not? I’m your brother. It’s my job to protect you.”
“I don’t need protection from Cooper. I love him.” Where had that come from? But on further reflection, she realized it was true.
“Love?” Patrick raised his eyebrows. “Isn’t that a little disloyal?”
She closed her eyes. Her brother could be so cruel. “I don’t think so. Jay has been gone for a decade. One thing I know for sure. He would want me to be happy.”
“I doubt he would like the idea of you fucking another man.”
She swallowed hard. “He’s dead, Pat. If he were alive, it wouldn’t be an issue. But why the hell are we talking about this? You never liked Jay either. You’re a hypocrite. You cut a swath through the female population and then you dare to get onto me for having a boyfriend. You know what, this visit is over. Get out of my house. Out.” She shooed him from her bedroom down the hall and out the front door, locking him in the darkness.
Then Samantha sank onto the couch and buried her face in her hands. Her headache would no longer be fixable with a couple of Aspirin.
But think about what you said. Forget your asshole brother. He’s never going to change. Think about what you said about Cooper. “I love him,” she said it aloud.

The next morning at work, Sam had a harder time than ever concentrating on her job. Wednesday morning. Will I ever make it to Friday? Every day apart from Cooper feels like a year. At least we’ll see each other on Skype tonight.
“Miss Libwawian?” A tiny voice said from the vicinity of the check-out desk. Sam leaned over the edge to see a small child holding up a heavy picture book in both hands.
“Do you want to check this out, darling?” she asked, retrieving the volume from the little golden-haired girl, who nodded. “Do you have your library card?” The child fished in her pocket and pulled out a card which was heavily crusted with unknown food particles. Sam grimaced a bit. She actually had to scratch the crud away from the barcode to scan it. Then she quickly printed out a return-by slip and handed both items to the little tot. As the child wandered away, Sam hurried to the bathroom to wash her hands. On the way out, she popped into the media room to check on the patrons. Two kids were surfing the internet, a lady seemed to be researching rashes while she jiggled a fretful baby on her shoulder. And Chris, Cooper’s pretty-boy research assistant, seemed to be taking copious notes from a website.
“I hope you’re just killing time,” Sam told him, reading over his shoulder
“I’m researching,” he replied distractedly.
“Uh, no, actually you’re not. Wiki sources are no good for research.”
“What do you know about it?” He turned and nailed her with a narrow-eyed glare.
Unintimidated, Sam raised an eyebrow at him. “I have a master’s degree in Library Science. I know EVERYTHING about it. Wiki sources can be changed by anyone. They are not considered valid sources. If you put this information into Cooper’s book, you’ll call into question everything he’s trying to accomplish. Are you trying to put his job in jeopardy, or are you just too poor a resea
rcher to know what you’re doing?”
Chris rose from the chair and stretched himself to his full height, a towering six foot three. “You’ll be sorry you messed with me, bitch.”
All around the room heads turned to stare at them.
“You don’t scare me, Chris. And I’m not ‘messing’ with you. I’m helping you. Get it straight.”
He glared and then pushed past her, knocking her aside with his shoulder before heading on towards the door.
Sam shook her head and returned to the circulation desk. Chris had better shape up or he was going to be in serious trouble.

“Hello, baby, there you are!” Cooper had his laptop on the end of the hotel room bed. He was lying on his stomach looking at his pretty girlfriend on the screen.
She did a little finger wave. “Hi, Cooper.”
“So, how are you feeling? How’s your headache?”
“It’s better today.”
“That’s good.” Cooper looked Sam up and down on screen. “You’re looking good too, sweetheart. What’s that you’re wearing?”
“Nothing. Just a nightie.” She looked down at herself, her cheeks going pink.
“Is it short? I can’t see.” Cooper ogled the bottom of the screen, as if he could peep in through there. “Show me, baby?”
“Show you? How do you mean?”
She was sitting on her bed. The red satin garment she was wearing had spaghetti strings over her shoulders and a lacy neckline. Her nipples were poking at it quite prominently.
“Tilt the screen down, baby. Let me see?”
She blushed a bit deeper then tilted the screen. Her long slender legs were bare. The skirt of her negligee was very short. Her thighs were together but Cooper could see her slit. He squeezed his cock. “Yeah, that’s nice,” he groaned.
“Do you like?”
“Yes, I like… What happened to your panties, though?”
“I must have forgotten to put them on,” Sam replied with a giggle. “Should I put some on now?”
“Oh no. There’s no need for that. I think we should play a game.”
