Broken Deeds MC: Second Generation #1 Page 6

His head tilts slightly. “You mentioned it but not the reason why you wanted to contact people. And who do you want to call? The people connected to them or those who were on the case?”

“Mainly because I read some of the transcripts and listened to interviews where three guys claimed to be innocent of the last crime they were charged with. And I know all about the irony of prisons being filled with innocent people, but it just snagged my attention. One can happen, two might be a coincidence…but three cases where they claim to be innocent and end up dead? It might be nothing and it’s not connected with Sven or his partner, or at least I don’t think so…I just–”

“Want to satisfy your curiosity,” Wyatt finishes for me.

I nod while Archer and Wyatt exchange looks. They don’t seem to need words and are in agreement when Wyatt tells me, “Sorry to say you’re only doing behind the scenes work. Me or one of the brothers will go over the shit you want to ask. Write down notes, make a list, and we will make the calls for you.”

Safety above all. I guess I should be happy I’m not completely pulled off the case.

“Okay,” I tell both men. “A drink anyone?”

“I could use one,” Wyatt grunts and plunks down in a chair.

Archer cups the side of my face and places a kiss on my lips before he murmurs, “I’d like another beer.”

I grab my glass and head for the kitchen. Returning with drinks for everyone, I join them at the table. I get a thanks from both as they fall back into the discussion. Reaching for my notebook, I grab a pen and while I sip my drink, I start to write down the questions I have while I wonder who will be the one asking them for me.

I guess it doesn’t matter, it’s exactly what Wyatt mentioned; I just want to satisfy my curiosity. These criminals who were killed were repeated offenders and in the end, it wouldn’t make a difference since it won’t bring them back to life.

Archer’s fingers slide over my forearm and it drags my attention away from my notebook. “Come on, time for bed.”

I glance around me and now notice Wyatt has left.

“I threw Wyatt out the door a few minutes ago.” Archer chuckles. “He said goodnight but you were engrossed in your work. I’ve locked up for the night and did my round. Let’s check on Queenie before we turn in too.”

I stretch my arms out above my head before I follow Archer up the stairs. He pushes the door to Queenie’s room open and silently strolls inside to glance into her crib. Coming up behind him I do the same. She’s sleeping so peacefully with her cute button nose and pouty lips. She has Archer’s chin and eyes but my hair color; a perfect combination of the two of us.

Archer laces his fingers with mine and gives a little squeeze to make our gaze collide. The love and affection shining right at me are as bright as the sun’s warmth on a hot summer’s day.

We silently walk out of the room and leave the door slightly ajar. The both of us get ready for bed and when we slide in between the covers we snuggle close. His dick is caged in between our bodies and yet there’s only comfortable intimacy we both enjoy before crashing into a deep sleep.

Waking up to an empty bed is a stark contrast, but hearing Archer’s voice along with Queenie’s giggles is a straight arrow into my heart. Dragging my body off the bed, I stumble into the bathroom and quickly handle my business. I change into jeans and a dark blue sweatshirt and follow the sound of the two people I love the most.

I find them in the living room. Archer is holding Queenie up in the air, letting her down quickly to his face where he blows raspberries in her neck before he lifts her in the air again. I could watch these two for hours on end.

“Should we ask mommy to join? I vote for asking her to make coffee. I might seem like a cheerful person but daddy needs some caffeine, and fast.” Queenie giggles at his words and a smile spreads my face.

“Why don’t I take her and let you make us some coffee,” I tell him and take our daughter off his hands.

“You love my coffee,” Archer murmurs and places a kiss on the corner of my mouth. “Good morning.”

“I love you,” I murmur in return and kiss the top of Queenie’s head.

“I know you love me, but it’s because I’m making the coffee.”

Laughter bubbles up. “I do, but not just for the coffee.”

He shoots me a wink and heads for the kitchen, leaving me to follow. I place Queenie on my hip and help Archer by grabbing the mugs.

“I called my mom, she’s going to pick Queenie up in about half an hour. I need you in church and working with Ganza. She’ll bring Queenie either to the clubhouse or we can pick her up when we’re done. Okay?”

Going from no work to a huge pile of things to do might be a lot to deal with, and yet it seems to fit how the both of us handle things. So, I simply reply with, “okay,” and take the steaming mug of coffee as I hold it safely away from Queenie.

Archer takes our daughter. “I’m going to put her in her playpen until my mom gets here. We’ve been up and running for about an hour, she can entertain herself while we drink some coffee.”

I take the mug in both hands to let the warmth seep into my palms as I watch the man I love handle our daughter. Exactly like Archer mentioned, Lynn shows up half an hour later to take Queenie and we head to the clubhouse a few minutes after they leave.

Most of the bikers are already in church. Cora is sitting at the bar looking like she just rolled out of someone’s bed. In fact, I’m sure she did since she didn’t even bother to button up her blouse and is showing off her peekaboo bra.

I know very well this clubhouse is mainly for the bikers of this MC and most don’t have an old lady, but come on, I’m fairly sure Archer has the same rules in place as his dad before him. Lynn told me about this little fact because it was she who demanded it when the kids were born; she didn’t tolerate nakedness of stray pussy in plain sight. At least not during normal daytime. And neither do I.

It’s for this reason I stalk up to Cora and snap, “Button up your shirt.”

She lazily glances down as if now noticing she’s sitting here half-naked. She has the nerve to shrug and tell me, “Why cover up something a man is going to use in a few minutes?”

From the corner of my eye I see Archer stepping toward us, but I hold my hand up to stop him. I know he wants to help, but I need to handle this.

“Know your place,” I snap. “Tits and ass can be used and on show late at night when there isn’t a chance a kid can walk through that door. If you want to keep giving your breasts some air, you do it in someone’s room or in your own damn house, not here.”

“I haven’t heard anyone else except for you complaining about it.” She leans in and whispers, “Especially not your man. I think he likes mine better than yours since you have had a kid hanging off those long and chewed-off nipples of yours.”

For a fragment of a second there’s a buzzing sound and I mentally question myself, did she really just say that? The self-assured smirk painted on her face lets me know she did and I instantly have the craving to rip off her head and throw it across the room.

My fingers are wrapped around her throat with my next breath and I hiss in her face, “Whether or not my nipples are chewed-off by either my kid or my husband is none of your business nor would you know or see because I’m not shoving them into your face. And if my husband looks at your breasts, which is kinda hard not to do since you’re waving them around like a flag on a pole, that’s up to him because I don’t control his eyes nor his dick. You know why? Because I don’t have to: he’s mine as I’m his in a way you would never understand. There’s mutual loyalty and respect so I know he’ll never touch or cheat. And stop shooting me that fucking glare. I’m the president’s old lady, so you show respect the way I respect your presence here…as long as your tits and pussy are covered.”

I give her another squeeze and release my grip. She covers her throat with both hands and acts as if I almost ripped her head off. Crazy bitch. I’ve tole
rated her long enough with the smoldering looks she keeps giving Archer. She’s a trouble maker, but like I said; I trust Archer. Between us there’s no room for doubt with infidelity since our bond is strong.

But she got on my nerves and if she’s wise she’ll take my advice and stick to the rules. Hell, she’s seen me train and knows I can throw a punch so why goad me like she did with the whole ‘my tits are better than yours and your husband thinks so too’ insanity?

“Bee, if you’re done handling shit…can you join us in church?” Archer says, laughter mixed with pride tainting every word.

Now it’s my turn to give Cora a self-assured smirk when her face fills with disbelief at the request of me joining them in church.

“Coming,” I tell him in a sing-song voice and lift my chin to head for church, feeling better about myself with each step I take.

  CHAPTER SIX

  – ARCHER –

The way my woman is facing off with Cora shouldn’t make me hard as a rock, but I’ll be damned if I can help it. She’s standing her ground and is breathtakingly beautiful while doing so. Here I thought I needed to step in because Cora has been trying to drive a wedge between me and Bee.

No obvious stuff outsiders would pick up on, but it’s a subtle touch here, some words there, popping an extra button open on her shirt, brushing her tits against my arm, that kinda stuff. And then she repeatedly asks for a private conversation where she’s concerned about Zuri.

I’m doubting that shit too. I know very well those two are friends and hell, Zuri also came on to me the last time, but I also know for a fact Cora would be pissed if she knew because both of them have a mentality of “every cunt for themselves, and take no prisoners.”

I love the way Bee handled Cora and she’s damn right about our mutual loyalty and respect. And for sure as fuck I’ll never touch or cheat since I wouldn’t risk the perfection I have now.

Wyatt chuckles and has a grin on his face, as do I. And it’s for this reason I tell my woman with a load of pride, “Bee, if you’re done handling shit…can you join us in church?”

Another straight point to drive home the fact that Bee belongs here and Cora is merely there because we tolerate her. Though, I do have a feeling she won’t be here for much longer. It’s not that we don’t want her here but hangarounds have rules to live by and she needs to heed and respect them.

Better yet, she needs to respect the woman who will always stand beside the president no matter what.

“Coming,” Bee replies to me in a sing-song voice.

I hold out my hand and when she takes it, I pull her close and kiss the fuck out of her mouth.

“Keep it in your pants, Prez.” Wyatt smacks my back and chuckles. “We have business to discuss.”

Tearing my mouth from Bee, I take pleasure in seeing her lips all puffy and well used, along with the dazed look in her eyes.

“Come on,” I murmur and guide her into church.

We have a full table and the stack of files in front of my chair amplifies the load of work we need to discuss. Wyatt grabs an extra chair and places it next to mine. I lift my chin in thanks as Bee takes a seat.

She leans in close and whispers underneath her breath, “You have a new face sitting at your table.”

My eyes slide to the nomad Wyatt reached out to late last night. “Bee, let me introduce you to Vachs. In a few minutes he won’t be a nomad but a full member of our MC. It’s perfect timing too since we need a new face to handle the situation with Sven and Woolerton. Sven knows every member, Vachs will be able to tail them unnoticed for a few days.”

“Smart thinking,” Bee muses and gives Vachs a smile. “Nice to meet you.”

Vachs grunts. He’s never been one to talk much, more of a silent type who observes the room and everyone in it. And when the man does talk, it’s as if he weighs every word to make sure he doesn’t talk too much.

We met years ago during a mission. Vachs is a former SEAL and never wanted to settle down in one place until recently. Seeing his drive to put his skills to work we’ve been discussing his transfer here for quite some time. Wyatt suggested we give him a call last night, Vachs accepted and drove all night to get here.

“Wyatt, did you debrief everyone?” I question and everyone bobs their head. “Good. Sven is still Woolerton’s partner and we’re all aware of the possibility Woolerton might be involved in Galen’s death. It’s too much of a coincidence with Galen looking into those cases where criminals ended up dead, and as we now know Woolerton was the one who pulled up every single one of those dead men’s files before they ended up dead.”

Baton clears his throat. “And we’re also keeping the possibility open that Sven is the one while Woolerton is innocent.”

All heads swing his way. Baton shrugs. “He could have checked those files on his partner’s computer so shit wouldn’t link back to him.”

  “Agreed,” Ganza mutters.

“It would explain how Sven was there when Galen was killed, shoving the blame on a homeless man who had nothing to do with it.” Wyatt leans back and adds, “It all fits perfectly. And with the heat of Galen’s death the fucker stops for a few months and picks right back up when he knows the heat is off his fucking back.”

“There aren’t any magic tricks you can pull with cameras from the day Galen was killed, Bee?” Wyatt questions. “Because the shit you did last night made it possible to drag a fucker, who killed his son, to prison to rot for the rest of his life.”

Bee shoots him a sad look. “Sorry. We were lucky I remembered the other cameras from a news article. I checked the details of Galen’s case and Ganza already retrieved all the footage, sadly it didn’t show the mugging or killing part.”

“If anyone else is responsible for Galen’s murder, we will bring them to justice,” I growl, making everyone slap their flat hand on the table.

Ganza turns his laptop slightly to Bee and I watch how she leans toward him.

She shakes her head. “No, you have to–”

Instead of finishing her sentence she points at the screen. Ganza starts to type but Bee suddenly bats his hands away, pulls the laptop closer to her and with a few keystrokes she shoves it right back.

Ganza grins at me. “We’re allowed to keep her, huh? ’Cause I like having someone around whose fingers might be a little quicker than mine. Though I am the best…but Bee here brings some serious lady-balls to the table.”

“She’s mine,” I grunt. “I just chose to bring her in at a time we need her the most. From here on out you can all either pick Ganza or my old lady if you need some computer work done. But I want the tasks equally balanced, ya hear? And if Bee has priorities for our kid or herself, you go to Ganza without a fucking complaint.”

Agreements ring out and Wyatt takes over the meeting to double check some of the other cases we’re working on. Broken Deeds MC balances a handful of cases at the same time. Mostly we team up but there are cases where only one of us handle it. And incidentally we all get our heads together, like the Galen case.

I was the one researching it but was at a standstill until I asked Bee for help. And now it’s blown wide open with other angles, we need to handle it together. We spend another hour going through instructions before I finally end the meeting.

Bee handed Wyatt her notes and he’s going to make a few calls for her. Vachs is setting up a coincidental meeting with Sven and Woolerton later this week. But first he’s going to observe those two to get a good feel about their dynamics.

We have another meeting scheduled in a few days but for now everyone knows what to do. When I step into the main room, Cora isn’t anywhere in sight. There are however three other women sitting at the bar who come around, most times during the weekend, looking for a good time. They give Bee a smile before each of them head toward one of the brothers.

“Let’s go into my office,” I tell Bee and she follows me.

Once the door is closed, I point at the seat in front of the desk and stroll arou
nd it to sit in my own chair.

“My mom is bringing Queenie here, but I wanted to talk to you before we head home.”

“Okay.” Her forehead scrunches up and she crosses her arms in front of her chest. “Is something wrong?”

“No, I just wanted to make sure you’re okay with working full-time if needed.”

She visibly relaxes and waves off the argument. “Sure, not a problem. I used to help my mother out all the time before we got together. I like working on anything computer related. Though, it kinda hit me hard with the case where the child was involved…the case I assisted Wyatt with. But I gather there aren’t many like those being thrown at my feet.”

“From time to time,” I regretfully tell her.

Bee gives a firm nod. “I’ll be honored to be of some help in getting justice in those cases as well. And if I can’t handle anything or if it gets too much, I’d let you know. But I’m guessing the both of us will balance our jobs and taking care of Queenie, am I right?”

“The last few days have shown how we can adjust as we go. I don’t see any reasons why you would have any limitations, unless of course you have limitations yourself. If so, let me know.”

“No limitations.” She grins and it hits me straight in the chest.

“Good. Then you can handle what comes your way but the priority for now is the case I put you on. I expect Wyatt to make the calls for you today or tomorrow, let me know if you stumble onto anything else.”

I stand and stalk toward her to take her hand to pull her between my legs as I lean my ass on the desk. Pulling her down for a kiss, I let my hands roam over her body, already liking the added access I have to my wife now that she’s also working cases–which entails she’ll be around here more.

“Oh, hello. See Queenie? Mommy and Daddy are all play and no work, just like I told you.”

“Ma!” I snap. “How many times have I asked you to knock before you enter?”
