He couldn't fault her and after tossing in an oversized shirt featuring a dolphin flipping in the air and additional bottles of nail polish, he carried the bag in one hand, his other arm around her waist.

Having spent all day in the sun and walking through the Mercado, they decided to stay in and order room service. He'd chuckled when she insisted he place the order and as they waited for the food to arrive. His laughter and her giggles filled the room as she told her about the night she'd gorged.

"And was it?" he asked, pulling her to him, "better than sex?"

Her cheeks flushed and her eyes widened. "Um, I don't think any cake, no matter how good could ever really compare to being loved." He smiled and she giggled, "But, it was really, really sinfully delicious."

They sat on the patio and ate their dinner and then she sat in his lap, her head against his chest as they listened to the music playing in the distance. When he heard a soft snore, he grinned and stood, carrying her into the room. She barely protested as he removed her shorts, top, and bra and pulled the sleep-shirt he'd bought her over her head. After tucking her between the sheets, he bent and kissed her.

"Sweet dreams, little one. I love you."

  "I love you too, Daddy."

  Chapter Fourteen

On their last day, he took her sailing. They had a relaxed morning, not leaving as early as they had the previous two days. It was a surprise when the taxi arrived at the marina and he announced the activities for the day. But, it was even more surprising when she realized he would be sailing the boat he'd rented. She giggled remembering that she knew he sailed in the yacht club at home, so it shouldn't have been that unexpected.

Sunny hadn't been aware there was an art of sailing. Oh boy, but it was an art to watch Trent. She felt like she should help, but really, she couldn't do much more than watch the way his muscles rippled across his chest as he pulled this rope and that one. His chest was as mesmerizing as the tall sails that rippled in the wind, taking them further out to sea.

And his hands—his hands gliding across the ropes—she could easily imagine them gliding across her backside and down her thighs.

"Sunscreen, you need more sunscreen." He came to sit next to her. "You're looking pink already."

"Silly, it was just an hour ago that you put some on me," she said, rolling her eyes but smiling up at him. He was so protective and she adored being cared for so thoroughly.

"Are you sassing Daddy? I'm looking at you and you look pink. Even the part in your hair looks pink, and so do the tops of your ears. Come here." The look he gave her sent electricity through her veins. She couldn't make her voice work, so shook her head side to side instead. Trent started to rub the lotion on her anyway. He started on her back and worked his way around her neck and arms.

Who was she to complain? He could rub her anywhere, any way he wanted. She sighed. He was too good to be true. The perfect gentleman. His kisses turned her sex into liquid lava, but that was all they were—kisses, nothing more. Well, and love words, whispered words and endearments like baby girl, little sunshine, and angel girl. But she wanted him—wanted him physically, sexually. She had begun to worry. Did he just see her as a little girl for him to coddle and baby? Would he ever see her as a woman? Was she going to have to beg him to make love to her? Would he think her forward or it inappropriate to learn she was harboring those thoughts?

"Why are you so quiet? Are you having naughty thoughts, angel girl?" He squinted at her, as if he could peer into her mind. "Ah, you're blushing! Maybe you're not getting sunburned, your ears are getting redder as your face does. Maybe you need a spanking."

She thought he was teasing her at first, but he looked pretty serious. "No, that's all right…"

"Are you sure? Cause I can help you out with that as well." He reached for her and pulled her to sit on his lap, with her back to his chest.

"No way, that is not what they are supposed to feel like." She started giggling and wiggling when he started rubbing lotion all over her tummy.

"Spankings?" he clarified. "And what exactly is a spanking supposed to feel like?" He turned her to face him, a big cocky grin and a devilish glint in his gray eyes.

Oh God, why had she said that? Her face was flaming hot. Damn it, so were her ears. They hadn't talked a lot about that activity since he had spanked her. He had made a couple of comments that had excited her, like when they had seen another couple. The woman was telling the man off. Trent had looked at Sunny point blank and said that if she were his wife, he would blister her ass.

"Huh?" he tickled her ribs, "what is a spanking supposed to feel like?"

"Stop it!" She swatted away his hands. "Don't you have to drive this boat?"

"What?" He looked shocked and more than a little offended. "You don't drive—this." He stood up and held her hand, his other waving as he gestured to different areas of the boat. "Sunny girl, this is a sailboat, a yacht." He gave her a stern look and she swallowed hard as it morphed into the smile she adored and when he added a cocked eyebrow, she felt her knees go a bit weak.

"Never mind, insulting this outstanding vessel has got to be a spankable offense. Come here." He sat down again and pulled her across his lap.

He had already applied two swats to her bikini-clad bottom before she could get her voice to match her thoughts to call out. "Trent! You stop it. No!" But, she started laughing when she realized the swats were only slightly stingy. "Okay, okay! You are a mighty captain—a skipper? Gilligan? Is that better?"

"No, that's not better, you naughty sea wench. A captain yes. Gilligan? No, but I might be willing to let you off easy…" He pulled her to sit on his lap. "With all the hard work required to safely navigate this luxurious vessel and the strength required to keep my little smart aleck angel in line, I've worked up an appetite. Do you think you could go below deck and get our picnic lunch?" She went off with a huff, hoping he would notice and ask why she was mad. But if he noticed he didn't say a word.

Sunny had gotten so excited by the playful spanking…. And then nothing. He had cut it off way, way too early as far as she was concerned. Heck, he hadn't cut short her first spanking that seemed to go on for a lifetime. Sighing, she climbed down into the cabin and found the basket containing the lunch the hotel had packed for this outing. They ate it on deck, sitting on a blanket and her earlier angst was forgotten as he pulled her to lay her head on his lap and fed her one grape at a time. It truly had been very sweet and romantic.

They'd anchored the yacht for an hour and swum in the clear blue waters. After taking a shower in the surprising elegant bathroom, she sat on the deck, running her hands through her wet hair, her face turned up to the sun. She had to admit, she'd never seen anything like the colors of the sea as they sailed across the surface. Some spots were aqua, some cobalt, some azure but all absolutely beautiful. They changed into appropriate attire and when they got to the peaceful island which he'd told her was their ultimate destination, they had the most amazing dinner at a small, but classy, restaurant that overlooked the water. They saw huge turtles and pink flamingos.

On the way home, he anchored the boat again and then sat on the deck, pulling her down to sit in his lap, her back to his front. She sighed with contentment as they watched the final sunset of their vacation on the Caribbean Sea. She had the man of her dreams, the most romantic place imaginable, and he was holding back. What was the matter?

  "Trent."

  "Daddy."

"Daddy." Her head was pressed against his shoulder, they were sitting together in the hull of the boat. "Did I say something when I was drunk that… I should worry about?"

"When I spanked you, I told you it was over and done with." He traced his fingers up and down her bare arm, causing goosebumps to pop out along her skin. Despite that distraction, she forced herself to continue.

"No, I mean… I don't know… Something else. Like something that made you hesitant…" She sighed, trying to gather her thoughts. "I don't know. I feel like you are holding back fr
om me."

"I will tell you everything you said that night if it makes you feel better, but it will probably only embarrass you. As far as holding back, I'm not sure what you mean. I have been interested in you for a long time, and we have known each other for almost fifteen years. However, I showed up here, unexpectedly, and I didn't want to rush you." He leaned down and turned her face to his so that he could see her.

"I… think I've loved you for a long time… Daddy. And I have always remembered that night." She tugged her chin from his fingers and looked back over the water. She didn't think she could say what she needed to say if looking into his eyes.

"I always wished I would have stayed there, and maybe you would have… spanked me. I wanted you to do to me what you did with Mandy." Her words broke off.

"I should have, too. I never could get your green eyes out of my mind. The way you stared at me… as if I were a king. As if you were afraid of me, yet not afraid. It was a healthy fear, respect. You've done it here. I had to wait for you to grow up, little girl. And the waiting has been driving me crazy, angel of mine." She felt him move a bit and didn't resist as he turned her around so that she faced him. When she saw what he was holding, she shook her head. Now she knew why he'd left his sunglasses on that counter.

"Daddy, I told you I only wanted the one ring," she said, looking at the familiar white box on his palm. After all, she had three identical boxes already tucked into her suitcase. "You spoil me."

"God, I hope so," he said, bending to kiss her forehead. "Sunny, you are the one to spoil me." She smiled as his fingers came to her chin again bringing her jaw up so her lips could meet his. "I love you, Sunny. I have for a long time."

She felt her heart swell. If this is all he gave her, she knew it would be enough. It didn't really matter if he waited forever to claim her body for he'd already claimed her heart. She was about to tell him that very thing when he began to open the box. She'd already forgotten the opal ring. Smiling again, she glanced down, "Okay, if you insist."

He chuckled and her eyes lifted to his. "Baby, that's not exactly the answer I was hoping for." Her eyes lowered and she froze. Instead of a fire opal, diamonds sparkled under the starlight.

"Oh… oh…" she whispered, her entire body trembling.

"Maybe the third time is the charm," he said, his voice hoarse. "Sunny, will you make me the happiest man in the universe? Will you be the best part of my world? Sunny, will you please do me the honor of becoming my wife?"

"Yes!" she screamed, the answer echoing as it sailed across the sea. "Oh, God, yes…" Tears were streaming down her face as he slid the engagement ring onto her finger. A large solitaire was surrounded by smaller ones.

"This is our world," he said, lifting her hand to kiss the large stone. "And the others shall remind us that there are so many worlds to explore together." He spoke the words against her lips, then plunged his tongue into her mouth claiming her as his own. His lips were punishing against hers, with the promise of passion and a faint hint of the Coronas they'd shared.

He pulled away from her enough to look deeply in her eyes, reading her soul. He nibbled her lips softly, as if he hadn't just crushed them with his possession. Then sweet kisses helped him make the trek across her jawline and over to her ear while he shifted so he was under her. Soon she was straddling him as he scooted even lower.

His eyes held hers hostage while his hands tugged the tie holding her halter dress secure and then slowly drew it down until it rested beneath her breasts. When her top was gone, insecurity took over. Her arms flew across her chest.

"All your girlfriends usually have fake titties and tans. I'm skinny and white and have little bitty tit—"

"Don't you dare. Don't talk bad about my fiancée. I think you are absolutely beautiful and I never want to hear you say bad things about yourself. I love you but I will bust your ass until you believe I love you just the way you are, understand?" He gently removed her hands and pulled her down to kiss her lips.

While he was kissing her, his hands found their way beneath her skirt to cup her bottom, delightfully reminding her of the playful spanking he had given her earlier. His mouth left hers and made a trek for her nipple, latching on to one peaked tip at the same time his adventurous fingers explored the unchartered area under her white thong. He let go of her nipple long enough to seduce her with his husky words and go to the other achy nipple. "So wet."

The cool night air laid hold of the abandoned nipple and puckered it harder, if possible. Wandering fingertips below found a welcome home against her favorite little niche. But she needed those fingers to move. She wiggled, encouraging him to help her.

"Mmmm, you are such a wild woman…" he teased, as he gave in and flicked her clit. A self-satisfied smile crossed his face when she gasped. He took her one step further, plunging his finger into her well-slicked sheath. "So tight." She squeezed down on his thick finger.

"I never..." She shivered and moaned deeply.

"Sunny," Trent's brow wrinkled, "you've never?"

She bit her bottom lip softly. Was he upset? He wasn't going to want her now? She shook her head slowly left to right. His finger slipped from her. "I'm sorry."

"Sorry? God, Sunny, you have no reason to be sorry. You've given me the most precious gift a woman could offer a man." She heard him but evidently he could read her face without her having to voice her desire.

"It's all right, angel." He read her perfectly. "Daddy is not mad. I'm just not going to take you like this, on a boat for your first time." He started to sit up.

Sunny looked around at the wide open expanse around them as the yacht bobbed up and down on the water. Night had fallen and there were very few lights on the sides of the boat. The water gently splashed as it rocked them back and forth.

She took his face in her two hands and pressed her forehead to his. "Who wouldn't want to have their first time in a sailboat on the Caribbean Sea with the best and sexiest captain to ever sail? A man whom she also happens to have been secretly fantasizing about for the last eight years? A man whose ring she now wears on her finger declares their love for each other."

As if he'd been waiting for her simple declaration, he picked her up with a growl and threw the seat cushion on the floor. He lifted her dress over her head and tossed it aside before laying her down, following her and crushing her lips again with his mouth. She shivered when he growled and stood, removing his clothes as quickly as he could. She moaned at the vision of him standing gloriously naked. He didn't stay there long enough for her to imprint the picture of his silhouette, but was soon on his knees by her side.

He reached for her thong, slipping a finger underneath, and tugged her panties down, tossing them over his shoulder. He wasn't holding back anymore. She was completely overtaken by him, by his presence, by his largeness. But, she didn't want to show her fear; she was afraid he would stop.

As soon as there were no barriers between them, he opened her knees. She hesitated at first, but when she looked into his eyes, she was ready. He came to kneel there at her center and just stared at her. "So beautiful, angel of mine." He reached down to stroke her core, her jewel. Then he knelt and kissed it. His hands, his fingers were squeezing into her thighs.

"Oh no! Please don't do that. Come—" Oh, God, it felt so good but was so embarrassing...

"Hush, who is the boss here?"

  "Ahm, you,"

"Who?" he demanded. His stern voice brought out her answer immediately.

"You're the boss, Daddy." She hung on to the edges of the seat cushion as if she were afraid she was going to fall or something more dreadful was going to happen. "Ohmigosh!"

She started to wiggle, what was he doing? Oh his tongue… Oh"!

He was licking her little nub and… No, he was sticking his tongue in her… "Oh, Gosh! Oh, Trent! Daddy, please!" He was licking her clit and fingering her at the same time and she was going to explode.

He sat up, watching her, but he was still fingering her. Oh, God and hi
s thumb was rubbing and teasing her clit.

"It's okay, angel girl, just let go for Daddy."

There was an explosion, the boat, the sky—it must have been the sky. There were stars and stardust everywhere. She was hot, shivering-hot. All this time she thought she knew how an orgasm felt but she'd never felt anything like the climax he'd coaxed from her. Every muscle in her body was contracting. Pressure. Largeness. Fingers.

She opened her eyes. "Oh, Daddy." He was poised above her ready to… Oh!"

"Shhh…" His mouth closed over hers as he thrust into her, opening her up wide. It couldn't, it couldn't fit. Something was stopping it. He was pulling out, no, he plunged the rest of the way and she arched against him when something popped within her, a slight burn and then the feeling of being stretched.

"Oh!" She clawed at his back.

His lips moved to her ear. "Shhh, hold on, angel baby." He was moving slowly inch by inch, in and out.

"No… Don't move, no… get out!" she cried. It wasn't working; there was something wrong.

"Shhh, Sunny, just hold on." He kept stroking slowly in and out of her tight, hot core. Lifting up on his arms, he found one rosy nipple and licked it before he shocked her by nipping it, biting down gently. The sensation rocked through her like an earthquake.

"Oh God!" Her hips thrust up to meet his, and there was no holding back anymore. They were riding the tide together. When the waves of passion crested to overtake them, they crashed simultaneously, their lips pressed together and their souls merging into one.

  * * * * *

"That was the strangest conversation I have ever had with your sister." Sunny walked through the open doors to where her fiancé was sitting on the patio.

"Oh yeah?" He pulled her down to sit on his lap.

"Yeah, we were talking about you—about us. I mean, I called her to tell here we were getting ready to go to the airport. But of course I told her about us…"
