Riley's Reckoning

Joanna took the bra from Riley. “I could tie your hands with this but you’re going to be needing them, darling,” she announced, stuffing the bra in the pocket of her jeans, as the elevator came to rest at the penthouse floor.
“Oh, no, you don’t,” Joanna said, grabbing Riley by her shirt as she attempted to exit the elevator.
Joanna hit the close door button and once again backed Riley into the corner of the elevator.
“Jo, what are you doing?”
“It’s not what I’m doing, it’s what you’re going to do.”
Joanna reached up and undid the remaining buttons of Riley’s shirt, pulling it open and exposing her pert breasts. She grazed each of Riley’s nipples with her thumbs on the way down to her waistband, making Riley suck in a small breath. She pushed her jeans and panties to the floor with one swift motion, exposing her pussy.
Riley smiled as she saw Joanna look her up and down, very subtly licking her lips.
“Since you like touching yourself so much, I want you to show me, Riley, touch yourself until you come for me. Hopefully you can do it before we reach the ground floor, or I’ll spank you the whole way back up,” she said, hitting the button for the ground floor.
Riley’s arousal took over her fear, and she had a sideways smirk, as she watched the digital elevator screen count down the floors.
She moved her hand down between her legs and began to rub her clit with her middle finger. She tugged and teased her nipple with the other hand until she started to emit small moans.
“That’s a good girl, don’t stop until I tell you to.”
Riley continued to touch herself until she looked at the digital display that showed the seventh floor and she hesitated.
“Don’t stop!” Joanna barked.
“But Jo, the ground floor,” Riley said in a panic, pulling up her jeans and panties just before Joanna hit the button to stop the car. Joanna hit the button again and the elevator doors opened, as it touched down on the ground floor. The lobby hallway was empty, which wasn’t really surprising since the elevator that serviced the penthouses wouldn’t service tenants on other floors. Joanna hit the close door button. “Tut, tut, you can’t even follow simple directions, Riley.”
“But Jo…”
“Take them down and bend over. I want to see that lovely bottom of yours.”
Riley looked at her lover and grinned. She pushed her pants and panties down and as she bent over, the elevator lurched back to life, toward the penthouses. Her arousal was heightened with the anxiety of being in the elevator and her bottom clenched, still tender as a result of her punishment earlier that morning.
“Now, touch yourself, I want to see you make yourself come for me,” Joanna ordered, as she walked behind Riley.
Before Riley had a chance to comply, Joanna brought her hand up and connected with Riley’s bottom in glancing upward blow. The blow smarted but Riley reached up between her legs with one hand, the other on her knee steadying herself, as she stuck her bottom out a little more, inviting Joanna’s palm. Joanna continued the spanks as Riley thrummed her clit with her thumb and fingers.
They both continued in a steady rhythm, and Riley started to moan again, her arousal taking over any inhibitions about the elevator. As she licked her lips, she could taste the salty moisture that had started to form on her face from the muggy elevator.
Riley didn’t even realize the elevator had come to a stop as she continued to work her clit eagerly, complying with Joanna’s orders. She felt Joanna reach between her legs from behind. She felt one finger enter her, followed by another. Joanna kept spanking in rhythm with her fingers that were fucking Riley’s wet opening. Riley was writhing, her own fingers working faster and faster as she moaned with pleasure at the sensation.
“Fuck, Jo, don’t stop, please!”
“That’s right, my darling,” Joanna praised, as she added a third finger and thrust them deep and hard into Riley’s core, landing the hardest spanks yet to her glowing bottom.
Riley couldn’t contain herself any longer, the sensations were too much.
“Oh, fuck, Jo, I’m going to come!” Riley screamed, as she bounced frantically on Joanna’s fingers, grasping onto the elevator rail.
“Come for me, darling, I want to feel it!” Joanna replied, thrusting harder and faster with her fingers.
Riley’s pussy starting to clench involuntarily around Joanna’s fingers and as a wave of intense euphoria hit her, she lost all control and collapsed to her knees as her climax shook her.
“Oh, Jo!” Riley panted, as Joanna steadied her and brought her to stand, before taking her in another kiss. Riley had to break away to catch her breath.
Joanna reached down and drew Riley’s pants and panties back up and fastened a couple of buttons of her shirt, before hitting the elevator resume button once more. She leant in close and looked at Riley hungrily.
Riley grinned at her as the elevator doors opened. “I hope there’s more where that came from.”
“Oh, I’m so not done with you, young lady, you’re mine for the rest of the day!”
Chapter Twenty
Things had started to calm down at the firm, and Riley’s tenure in the New York office was nearing an end. She loved the hustle and bustle of New York, but she was also looking forward to returning home to the beach. It was a lazy Saturday morning and she pondered about what the future held for her as she sipped her coffee. She looked over at Joanna, who was engrossed in the paper, and smiled, closing her eyes briefly, until her cell phone startled her.
“Riley, it’s Alex, listen, I hate to bother you on a Saturday morning, I know it’s been over a month since you’ve been done with your Saturday detail, but I have a young woman here I think you may know.”
“Not likely, Alex, I don’t know too many people here in New York, but what’s her name? And when you say there, are you at the detention center?” Riley asked, looking over at Joanna with a puzzled expression on her face.
“Look, Riley, rather than tell you over the phone, is there any chance you can come down, maybe do the presentation today? I think you will want to if the young lady here is who I think it is.”
“Yeah, sure, I don’t have anything going on, I can be there in about twenty minutes?”
“Thanks, Riley, I’ll meet you in the lobby and get you signed in.”
“What is it, honey?” Joanna asked with an equally puzzled look on her face.
“I’m not sure. Alex wants me to go down to the detention center and present the class today. She says it’s someone we know. Kate’s here, right?”
“Yes, she brought the paper in this morning, you better go and see, Riley, and call me when you know what’s going on.”
“Okay, honey, I will. I better get down there,” Riley said, kissing Joanna goodbye.
“Please be careful on that bike!”
“I will, I will,” Riley replied, rolling her eyes.
Hmm, always ‘that bike,’ Riley thought to herself. She somehow needed to convince Joanna that ‘that bike’ was not the root of all evil. She had an idea, but for now that would have to wait until she found out what was going on with Alex.
Riley made it down to the detention center in no time at all. Her bike allowed her to zip through the busy Saturday morning Manhattan traffic.
When she arrived, Alex had already gotten her visitor badge. “What’s this all about, Alex? You got me a little worried,” Riley asked, as Alex ushered her through the hallway and stopped at a window that overlooked a cement outdoor yard.
“See the woman over on the bench on her own, the one smoking a cigarette, you know her?”
“Fuck, that’s AJ, she’s my intern. Why is she here, what the hell did she do?”
“Damn, I thought so. I know you’ve talked about her and when she showed up here this morning and the girls were doing introductions, I put two and two together.”
“Fuck, so what did she do? Tell me it’s not something that will mess with her vi
sa and school?” Riley replied, looking through the window at a dejected-looking AJ.
“Well, I think that’s what she’s worried about. Your little intern here got herself arrested driving under the influence and resisting arrest. She didn’t have money to pay the fine so she’s doing her time on the weekend work program for the DUI. She has another court date pending for the resisting.”
“Shit, she could have called anytime, and especially after she was arrested. We could have helped her out. Dammit, why didn’t she call!” Riley said in frustration.
“Riley, I’m sure it’s something she’s not proud of, do you really think she was going to reach out to her boss of what, a couple of months, and tell you she was arrested?”
“I see your point, but we all make mistakes and we could have made this a little easier for her.”
“Well, I’ll talk to her, and do some digging. I can’t do much about the DUI but I’ll look at the arrest record and see if there’s anything I can do.”
“Thanks, Alex, she’s a good kid. Hell of a good worker, I’d hate to see something like this affect her future. I was a little concerned though; for someone so young, she sure likes her whisky.”
“You think she has a problem?”
“Well, far be it for me to judge someone on that, but the first week she was here she practically made Duggan’s her home. I think she misses home too though, so that was part of the draw to the Irish bar, I’m sure.”
“Well, I can maybe help her there, see where she’s at. What’s this going to do to her internship?”
“Shit, no idea, I guess I’ll have to talk with Jo and Helen and see what they want to do.”
“Okay, are you okay doing the presentation? It might help her out to see a friendly face, she’s pretty scared. Or do you just want to see her later?”
“No, I think it’s a good idea, I want to see where her head is at, with all this.”
“Okay, you get set up, and I’ll bring them in five minutes.”
Riley made her way to the classroom of the detention facility. “Hey, Delores, how are you doing?” Riley asked, seeing the inmate who had given her the interview and spoken at her first four presentations. “Still doing this I see, that’s wonderful.”
“Riley, how you doing, girl, you back? I’ve gotten a little more creative with my little speech, you’ll see. I think it’s really great what this does for the women. I swear if I would have heard it the first time through, I may have not been back.”
“Well, that’s the idea, Delores,” Riley said with a smile.
Riley had a couple of minutes so she sent a quick text to Joanna. She didn’t want to alarm her or have her overreact so she left it as generic as possible until she could speak with her face to face.
It’s AJ, I’ll explain everything when I get home. Don’t worry, she’s okay. See you in a few hours, class starting.
Riley didn’t wait for a response before shutting her phone off, as the incarcerated women started to file into the classroom. She felt terrible for AJ, and when she saw the horrified look on her face as she came into the classroom and locked eyes with Riley, she wanted to just pull her into a big hug.
“Good morning, ladies, please take your seats. My name is Riley Carrington and I’m going to tell you a little about myself before we get started.”
Riley went into her introduction and presentation and every once in while she would glance over at AJ, who was looking wretched.
At the break, Riley looked over to AJ and motioned her over with a side nod of her head. Alex took her cue and ushered the rest of the women outside to the yard.
“Oh, Riley, I don’t know what to say. I really fecked things up. I was gonna tell you, but I was scared about my job and what you’d think of me. I’m really sorry,” AJ started, before breaking down into tears.
Riley pulled the young intern into a hug. “Oh, AJ, I wish you had told us, we could have helped you. Sit down, let’s talk.”
“But you and Ms. Armstrong and Ms. Klein have done so much, I knew I let you all down, I was so ashamed and too embarrassed to tell you,” AJ said miserably, sitting down at the desk and wiping her eyes with her sleeve.
Riley pulled a chair in front of the desk and regarded the sad-looking intern. “Tell me what happened, AJ.”
“Well, I should have stayed at Duggan’s but a gal I met last week told me about this other place in Queens, so I thought I’d check it out, see for me self. Then these fecking cops showed up, said they were doing bar checks. Fecking homophobic a-holes, both of them. I might have gotten a little mouthy to one of them at the bar and when I left they pulled me over right out of the alley. Then, I guess my temper got the better of me when they tried to arrest me. They said I resisted. I may have yelled and screamed a bit, I suppose. Then I had my court thing for the drinking and driving and I ended up here. I’m so sorry, Riley, I know you have every right to fire me, I still have another court date for resisting arrest.”
“We’ll deal with that later, AJ, I’m just glad you’re okay. Drinking and driving on a motorcycle on the other hand is not okay. Joanna would have busted my ass for even thinking about that.”
“I know; me mam would have too. I kind of miss her, I feel a little lost without her. She’s a little soft in the head sometimes but she always knows what to do when things like this happen. I haven’t had the nerve to tell her, you see. Small town girl like me whose been given this opportunity, and I wrecked it,” AJ said sadly.
“We’ll talk more after class, okay? They’re coming back in.”
Riley made her way through the rest of the presentation and AJ seemed a little less miserable by the time Riley finished the class.
“AJ, I need you for a few minutes, please,” Alex said at the end, as the women filed back out into the yard.
Riley regarded the young woman as she sullenly made her way up to the front of the classroom and sat down in front of her and Alex.
“AJ, can you tell me about the charges for resisting? What happened and what have you been charged with?” Alex asked her in a cool voice.
“To be honest, I didn’t really understand it all, I’m just afraid I’ll lose my visa if they do me for it.”
“Well, you’re not going to be on your own with this, AJ. We’ll figure something out, but in the meantime, I’m going home to talk to Joanna and Helen. I’m sure Kate can help too; she has a way of making people see things differently. Alex is here to help, so tell her everything you remember, okay?” Riley said, putting a reassuring hand on AJ’s shoulder. “I’ll speak with Helen and Joanna.”
“Thanks, Riley, I really understand if they don’t want to keep me on, I’ve let you all down, I know.”
“Well, they are going to want to talk about this, that’s for sure. Let me know when you get back to the apartment, okay?”
“Yeah, I will, I’ll be back after the work program.”
“Alex, I’m going to take off, let you have some time with AJ. Can I give you a call later? I know Jo and Helen will want to know the particulars.”
“Sure, Riley, no problem and thanks again for coming down on a Saturday. I can try to pull the arrest report a little later, and I’ll let you know I what find out.”
Riley went straight back to the apartment after seeing the numerous concerned texts from Joanna. When she arrived, Joanna, Helen, and Kate were already waiting for her in Joanna’s penthouse.
“Riley, what has happened?” Joanna asked, before she had a chance to take off her leather jacket.
“It’s not good. AJ got arrested for DUI and resisting arrest. She’s doing the weekend work program to pay off her fine for the DUI but she has another court date for the other charges. She mouthed off to a couple of homophobic cops and sounds like they were targeting her leaving the bar, but then she lost her cool and it sounds like there was a scuffle. Alex is getting all the details and getting a copy of the arrest report.”
“Homophobic or not, it doesn’t excuse her drinking and driving o
r her behavior. Did she actually assault the officers?” Helen asked coolly.
“She said she didn’t, but she did say she lost her temper. So, with the combination of that and being drunk, it’s hard to tell. Alex is going to fill us all in later after she does some digging.”
“What a mess,” Joanna sighed. “What do you want to do with her, Helen?”
“Oh, I know what I’d like to do with her; she wouldn’t sit for a month if she was mine! Let’s see what Alex finds out, it may not even be in our hands if her visa gets revoked.”
“Well, I think the first thing we need to do is find out exactly what happened and see how we can help her. Then we can figure out work from there.”
“Agreed, Riley, she deserves to be heard,” Helen replied.
Riley’s phone rang, temporarily halting the discussion. “It’s Alex.”
The women watched in anticipation as Riley paced the living room floor on the phone, every so often interjecting a word or phrase of understanding. “Okay, thanks, Alex, we’ll see you in a couple of hours.”
“What did she say, Riley?” Joanna asked anxiously, barely giving Riley a chance to hang up.
“She’s going to pull the arrest report and talk to her captain. It doesn’t sound good; she made a couple of calls. AJ has been charged with a felony.”
“Shit, something sounds wrong if it is DUI and resisting, they are both misdemeanors,” Kate announced with a confused look on her face.
“Guess we’ll have to wait for Alex and see what she can find out. The work program finishes at four so we can talk to AJ when she gets back,” Riley said thoughtfully.
* * *
It was late afternoon when Alex arrived at the apartment and all four women sat anxiously waiting her report.
“Please sit down, Alex, what have you learned about AJ?” Joanna asked seriously.
“Well, she wasn’t wrong when she said the officers who arrested her were homophobic. Seems they have some history making arrests outside of gay bars. AJ is being charged with aggravated assault, which in the state of New York is a class E felony. She swears she barely pulled back when they went to cuff her, and that’s when she was taken to the ground. It’s hardly assault of a peace officer, that’s the element that makes it a felony, but at this point it’s her word against theirs. She will lose her visa and resident status for sure, and she’s looking at time in the state pen if they find her guilty. I’ve already spoken to my captain, and I’m going to speak with the DA first thing Monday morning, but it will help her case if she has an attorney in her corner if it comes down to it.”
