Three of Spades

Feeling powerful and watching as he enjoyed what she was doing to him, Natalie increased her speed. Until she too, became a victim to the unbelievable friction and climax that was building. Soon the room was filled with dirty verbal directions and answers in kind. Her moans were answered by his curses. Her wants were answered by his body. As Natalie was reaching the pinnacle point, Dylan slammed her down on him and he yelled out his own completion. Natalie watched as his whole body convulsed in ecstasy. As his muscles went from ridged to relaxed in moments. His breath was choppy and coming fast, but then, so was hers. Knowing she was close but not being able to reach her own pleasure, Natalie slowly pulled off Dylan and cuddled to his side.
Within seconds, Dylan chuckled and said, “What an asshole I am. You didn’t come did you? Well, we will just have to fix that, won’t we?”
Dylan inserted a finger into her and mimicked their previous deed. Soon he added another and Natalie claimed she could not take anymore. Dylan watched as her face glowed and the orgasm took over when he applied his thumb to her clit. She begged him to stop after her spasm quieted but Dylan was newly aroused. He quickly built up her need again and when she was once again at the breaking point, he removed his fingers and pushed his hard erection into her sweet heat. One pump, two pumps, she squeezed his cock. She pulled him inward as she lifted those fabulous thighs around his hips. Natalie screamed out his name as she climaxed for the second time in a matter of minutes. This one better than the last. Dylan followed right behind her and collapsed on top of her.
Dylan was content to lay there in the quiet as he ran his fingers through Natalie’s soft hair. He looked around the room and focused on all the small things that proved Natalie’s room had not changed from the time she was a girl. There was a shelf with stuffed animals, with dust and signs of age staring down at him. Books littered every surface he could see. A small bureau stood to his right. Its mismatched draw pulls and the wooden block that stood in as its front leg showed Dylan that Natalie’s life was true to what she told him. Not that he doubted her, but seeing the evidence for himself, it saddened him to know that she and her family struggled. She should not have known about such things. As his eyes continued to roam the room, his back began to beg for its usual much softer accommodations. Dylan rolled to his side seeking a more comfortable position and the ancient bed creaked, threatening to give out from under their weight. He bent his elbow letting his headrest on his hand and looked down at Natalie. She now faced him with her soft cascades of hair flowing out from under her. Her glasses rested on the bedside table and currently her eyes were closed. If it were not for her perfectly pink tongue darting out to lick her lush lower lip, Dylan would have thought she was asleep. She looked so perfect and peaceful, but Dylan knew she wasn’t. For everything she was currently going through emotionally, Natalie continued to take sucker punch after sucker punch. It amazed him that she continued to not see her own self-worth. It infuriated him the way her family treated her but who was he to say anything more than he already had. He just had to keep telling himself that he would stick to his word and follow through with their agreement; play his part and hope that was enough to make Natalie happy. Sensing his gaze, she opened her dreamy eyes and locked on to his.
“I was afraid you passed out on me again. But then it dawned on me, there was no snoring, so you had to be awake.” He finished with a sexy smile that showed his playful side.
That smile was enough to make her ready for another round. His beautiful dark eyes wrinkled at the corners in a way that men, especially him, could carry as a sexy attribute rather than a flaw. Natalie’s eyes moved from those plainly showing his sinful thoughts eyes to his slightly crooked nose. The scruff from his need for another shave gave him even more of a rugged sexy appeal. She brought her vision back to the starting point of that wicked bad boy smile showing his beautiful white teeth. Natalie raised her hand and felt the prickly texture of his cheek and her finger traced the outline of his scar.
“What happened here?” Natalie asked quietly, as if they were whispering so not to be caught.
Deciding she deserved truth and honesty, Dylan started to tell her the story. Whenever anyone had asked, he always told them the same version, leaving out the uglier part of the tale. But he wanted to tell Natalie in its entirety.
“I was in my mid-twenties; at a hole in the wall dive bar in Burlington. I was happily swindling some hotshot fraternity boys out of their Daddy’s money playing darts, when there was a commotion from the other side of the bar. Some drunken loser was hollering at a girl who was cowering in a dark corner booth. It was the type of place that such a commotion didn’t get a lot of attention from the usual patrons. I could see the girl already had quite a shiner. Anyway, this asshole’s loud, vicious, drunken tirade continued to escalate when the prick broke his beer bottle on the edge of the table and threatened the girl with it.” Dylan closed his eyes remembering the repulsive smell that wafted off the man. It was evident he hadn’t showered in days, if not weeks, as the smell of stale cigarettes and barf poured off of him. Dylan was amazed that no one else moved but an inch as the ordeal unfolded. Knowing he would not be able to stand by as this pathetic excuse for a man took out his rage on this poor girl, Dylan did what he hoped any decent man would do. Opening his eyes, he smiled down at Natalie and continued. “So, I told him that he should leave her alone and pick on a man, one who would not be afraid to hit back. I’ll give it to the bastard; he got in a quick jab with the broken part of the bottle before I beat the shit out of him. After, as the dickhead lay in a puddle of puke and blood, I convinced the girl to get out of the booth. She was a timid little thing, but for some reason she thought I was trustworthy enough to get her out of there. I took her to a nearby coffee house where she could warm up. She told me how her boyfriend had given her the black eye because she spilled her orange soda inside his freshly cleaned car.” Dylan shook his head and felt his adrenaline build at the thought of her small face being spoiled by such a pitiful existence of a man. Dylan had to get up and walk off some of the tension building in his muscles. He paced the small space that Natalie’s room allowed. He flexed his hands wanting to feel his flesh and bones crash into something. When he felt the worst of it was over, he turned to find Natalie sitting on the bed with the sheet pulled up covering her gloriously fine body from his sight. Dylan walked back over, sat on the side of the bed and used a finger to brush her hair behind her ear. “Her boyfriend, after smashing his fist into her face, stopped the car and literally pushed her out. There she was in a shady part of Burlington, in nothing more than a slip of a dress, in January. She had no money, no phone. She wondered into the dive bar just to get out of the cold and to figure out what to do. She had the unfortunate timing to find herself being confused for some bastard drunks cheating wife. Anyway, I gave her some money and my phone number because, honestly, I didn’t know what else to do. We kept in touch and before I knew it she weaved her way into my life on a much more permanent basis.” Dylan smiled as he said the last part.
CeCe! That poor girl was CeCe. Natalie suddenly felt sadness for a younger CeCe who experienced such an ugly horrible time in her life. She was happy that Dylan found her and helped her. Her respect and love for Dylan grew so much in that moment. She knew she had completely fallen in love with him. Not only was he sexy, hot and wonderful but he was also kind and gentle.
“CeCe is very lucky to have you,” Natalie said, as she leaned in and gave him a gentle kiss that she hoped showed how much his story touched her.
Happy that Natalie fit all the pieces of the puzzle together, he smiled and said, “Yeah, well, I don’t know about that, but I sure am damn proud of her. She’s really made something of herself and has built a phenomenal business. She can be a pain in the ass, but what can I say, I’m a sucker for a pretty girl.”
Natalie smiled, knowing his compliment of CeCe’s appearance was meant in a completely benign way.

; “Anyway, that’s how my dream of modeling came to end, when I got my perfect face marred,” Dylan said with such sarcasm that he actually went about pretending to dry a tear from his eye. Natalie playfully shoved at him and Dylan found this to be a challenge. Soon, the room was filled with giggles and laughter as well as empty playful threats. They wrestled and tussled around and Natalie found herself pinned beneath Dylan.
Having her beneath him in such a primal and timeless position, gave Dylan the little help he needed to become completely aroused and ready to ravage her. Soon, before Dylan knew it, his blood pumped, adrenaline pulsated, and sexual need thundered through his body. He needed to feel her, the part of her that only he had. Like how animals mark their territory and mates with their scent. That is how Dylan felt, as if he was warding off other males.
After he applied the required shield, he entered her. There was nothing sweet or gentle about this. This was about lust; straight up and a double at that. He rocked into her at such a pace that the ancient bed rocked, banging into the wall with every thrust. Dylan didn’t care. He didn’t care if the whole thing went right through the wall; as long as he and Natalie were still connected as one. As his pelvis slammed into her welcoming center, Dylan knew his climax was within sight.
Natalie’s body happily received each and every plunge. He could not get closer or deeper inside her, but she wanted him to. Natalie sought to turn inside out from the sensations he was teaching her body to crave. The hell with her head, or her heart, her own body would betray her, taking what it required and desired, above all else. She needed this man to feel this explosive response. The only relief was to shatter from the fiery awareness that her body felt was its entitlement.
Their cores touched and ignited leaving them both to call out their completions together. The earth moved and the heavens sang. Here in this room, Dylan tried to ignore the knowledge that he would never again be the same.
~THIRTEEN~
Natalie’s day was typical in what it entailed, however, anything but typical with how she felt. After going their separate ways, Dylan told her he had a business meeting that night but asked her to go with him to Cal’s the next night for the soft opening of the extended building. Happy that he asked and wanting to go, Natalie agreed. She told him that she would meet him at Cal’s around eight o’clock. She fulfilled her promise to bring her mother the things she requested after class and was concerned to find that her mother didn’t want her to stay and visit. She claimed she wasn’t feeling well and needed to rest, but she expected Natalie’s attendance at a dinner the upcoming weekend at Sam’s house. With nothing to do and no desire to go home, Natalie found herself heading toward CeCe’s store. When she got there, CeCe had a couple of customers, so Natalie browsed a new display in the front window.
CeCe was ecstatic to see Natalie. After finishing up with her customers and bidding them farewell, she walked over to Natalie.
“Good Afternoon, Natalie. How are you? Is there anything wrong with your purchases?” she asked, suddenly concerned that could be the case.
Natalie insisted that all the items she bought were perfect and greatly appreciated. After some idle chit chat, both ladies agreed to grab a bite to eat since the store was currently quiet. CeCe called out for delivery and both sat down and began getting better acquainted. Soon, with a now empty container of Moo Goo Gai Pan as well as two empty diet soda bottles, both ladies continued their uncontrollable belly laughing after CeCe recanted the story of how she confused her current landlord for her then boyfriends overbearing mother.
Natalie could not remember laughing so hard. The more time she spent with CeCe, the more she liked her. With a few interruptions of customers, it was just about closing time when Natalie realized what time it was.
“CeCe, I’m so sorry for monopolizing your evening. I’m sure you had things to do for usual end of business,” Natalie spoke, as she watched the other woman close out the register and prepare her bank deposit.
Speaking as she pressed calculator buttons at a fast pace, CeCe answered, “No. The only thing I would have done was some more sketches and maybe a couple of passes on the sewing machine. As much as I enjoy designing, this was a much more pleasant way to pass the time.”
“You design and make clothes?” Natalie inquired.
“Yes, I dabble.” CeCe looked up as she answered. “Someday I’d like to carry strictly my designs, but for now, I’m happy with the handful of designers I carry.”
Wow. Where did she find the time? Natalie had learned, with the exception of a couple of seasonal part timers and one full time employee, it was pretty much CeCe who manned the store. It was just another added quality that Natalie would envy her new friend for. After asking Natalie if she would like to see some pieces, CeCe locked the front door and shut off the lights. Natalie followed her into the other back space next to the dressing room. This area wasn’t as big but still was roomy enough for the small desk area, as well as shelves and mobile hanging racks that housed CeCe’s design supplies and pieces.
Each piece was more exquisite than the one before. CeCe used bold colors in traditional pieces but made them new and modern using her wonderful talent of different cuts, slits and lengths. Natalie could not help but run the different fabrics between her fingers and for the first time wished she was better endowed to be able to wear such pieces. Natalie turned to face a lone antique metal wire dress form that was draped with the most beautiful colored charmeuse material. To call it blush was an injustice, the metallic hue gave the impression of richness and wealth. The fabric was quite lightweight; shimmery and soft, contouring to the form as if they were one in the same. The short one shoulder design was embellished with a wide chunky rhinestone brooch that twinkled like they were tiny little diamonds.
“This is beautiful! CeCe, this dress is incredible.”
“Thank you! The only thing to make it perfect would be a small body to let the fabric do its magic,” CeCe answered, eyeing Natalie’s perfectly pliable compact body that flowed in clean lines and had an air of virtuousness.
Turning and seeing CeCe staring at her, Natalie was concerned she missed something. CeCe just winked and laughed.
The ladies talked some more and soon it was time to leave for the evening.
“Are you going to Cal’s tomorrow?” CeCe asked.
“Yes, I’m meeting Dylan there at 8pm. Are you?”
“Planning on it; I’ll probably head over earlier so I’ll keep an eye out for you.” After an exchange of cheek kisses, Natalie headed home. She entered the house, clicking the firm and strong deadbolt, she decided to turn in for the night. When she pulled back the covers and sat down on the mattress, it squeaked reminding Natalie of all the sounds the old mattress and bedframe made as she and Dylan made love. She smiled as image after image flooded her memory. Natalie reached over for her recent novel and as she opened the page, she decided she didn’t want to read and dream of fictional characters doing fictional deeds. She’d much rather dream of what she had done with Dylan. Natalie slept with a smile on her face and deeply dreaming of what if’s and maybe’s.
Dylan pulled into his garage and cracked his neck as he climbed down from the truck. What a day. With the new development planned and orders now placed, Dylan spent most of his day in the office looking over price quotes, balance sheets, and material requests. It was the least enjoyable part of his job, but he was proud of the company that he and Seth built. As much as he liked being hands on at the sites and building something beautiful out of raw materials, the pains of being owner and boss meant sometimes you had to do things that you didn’t want to.
Jeez, his back was killing him. Leaning over the desk and sitting in his swivel chair all day probably was contributing to his current discomfort, however, he was sure he was brittle from spending the night in Natalie’s bed. He planned to tell her that their future nights together would be at his place be
cause his old body could not take that poor excuse for a bed again. Knowing he told her he would not be able to see her tonight because of his late meeting was the right thing to do, but God how he wanted to see her and feel her, specifically, engulfing his cock in her warm satin inner muscles. Just thinking about her and that tightness had Dylan needing to readjust his pants. He headed in to change so he could come out and install the new arrivals for the Cuda.
At 2am, Dylan knew he needed to call it a night, but he just could not bring himself to do it. The car was finished. Tomorrow, Alex would be coming to pick it up for its paint job. Dylan couldn’t wait to see the glossy lime green color on the body. The hood and trunk would have wide black racing stripes; Dylan could see them already in his mind. He could not wait to burn up some asphalt and see what this baby could do.
Dylan took a quick shower and slid into bed. He tossed and turned, unable to find the right position. As he stared up through the enormous custom-made skylight, he looked at the clear blue sky and the hundreds of stars he could see. He loved looking at the night sky. There was something peaceful and simplistic in feeling and understanding your place in the world. No matter how much you do or give, in the big picture you were temporary, insignificant even. Dylan felt sorry for people that didn’t understand that. When push came to shove, when your time was over, no matter how much you think you counted, you’ll be gone but the stars would still be there.
Dylan wondered if Natalie liked to look at the night sky. He would make it a point of asking her tomorrow night when he saw her. When he did finally get his hands on her, he’d be sure to make his fleeting insignificant existence find carnal pleasure in the most imperative of ways. With that thought, Dylan had no trouble finding sleep at last.
