Assistant & Boss Daddy

We arrived in six hours, both eager to get off the plane and stretch our legs. We’d eaten a small lunch on the plane, but I could eat something a little bigger. We weren’t due to work until the following morning. We got our luggage and made our way out to the car rental agency strip. I reserved a Jeep after seeing hers and longing to drive it, and she laughed at the bright red vehicle. “I didn’t want you to be homesick that bad,” I told her as we loaded the back. “Want to drive?”
“I’ll leave that to you,” Brenna told me, getting into the passenger side. “This is a few years newer than mine is, but wow. Look at her.”
“I’ve been thinking of getting an SUV,” I told her, pushing the button to start the engine.
“What do you drive now?” Brenna asked and gasped when I told her that my car was a Tesla.
We made our way into the downtown area and hotel, parking in the lot before checking in. Our rooms were on the top floor with a fantastic view, and I watched as Brenna entered hers. I looked around the large room with the bed against the wall, a small table, and the fridge and bar. I set the luggage on the bed, looking out over the Inner Harbor and the water. I knew how beautiful it would be at night, wondering if I should take Brenna out to see it if we got the chance. I managed to unpack some and changed into fresh jeans and a Henley, saving the dress clothes for work.
I knocked on Brenna’s door, hearing her voice before she opened the door. She was dressed in jeans and a soft pink sweater and grinned at me. “This view is amazing.”
“It is. I was wondering if you wanted to grab some lunch and wander a little bit. I could use it after that long flight.”
“That would be great,” she agreed, going to get her purse and room key.
Chapter 10
Brenna
We took the elevator to the lobby, asking one of the clerks where we should eat lunch. They recommended a small seafood place if we liked that kind of thing, and I laughed softly as Seth assured the man that we did.
We walked outside into the cool air, following the directions. It was small, with ten tables and not at all like some of the popular chain restaurants we saw all around us. We walked to the counter and ordered a couple of platters with beer, taking the table closest to the window.
“How often have you traveled for work?” I asked Seth as he smiled.
“Several times over the last few years. I got to know some of the clients well and prefer to work for them. I know that I am manager to the tech staff, but I like to do some of the work myself,” he replied, sipping his beer. “Is that what you’re looking to do? Travel?”
“I suppose that comes with the job, so sure. You’re my first paid job after college, so it’s been a learning experience.” I smiled at Seth as he stood to get our food. “Do you eat at places like this a lot?”
“I often ask someone local where to eat since they know better than me what’s good. I could have chosen ten different chains, but we could eat at most of those everywhere,” Seth said as I nodded. I bit into one of the fried shrimps, moaning into it.
“Oh, God. This is good,” I said as he smirked.
“I could tell. That’s quite a reaction,” Seth told me, making me blush. I wasn’t used to this with him, just Jack, on the occasion that he flirted with me. I wasn’t sure if this was flirting, but it felt a lot different from Jack's. I chose to eat quietly from then on, even though everything was amazing, and the tone of the afternoon changed.
We walked around to the stores and the water’s edge, and I took some pictures with my phone. It wasn’t as pretty as my Seattle, but I could spend some time out here and enjoy myself. We ended up being outside when the sun set over the horizon, and I shot several pictures of that, taking in the lights once that was done.
We made our way back to the hotel, tired from the time change. I didn’t think I’d want dinner, but there was room service if that changed. I wanted a bath and bed, pausing in front of my door. “What time tomorrow?”
“I’ll come to get you at eight, and we can grab breakfast?” Seth asked as I nodded, turning to unlock my door. “Sleep well, Brenna.”
I leaned against my door once it closed, locking it from the inside. I checked that the adjoining door was also locked before going to the window, amazed by the incredible view. I tried to shoot a photo, knowing it wouldn’t be as good as the real thing.
From there, I ran a bath and tied my hair on top of my head before stripping, sliding into the hot water with a happy sigh. Candles and wine would make this perfect, but I had neither. I just left the light dim and closed my eyes. It might just be eight here, but it was five at home. I woke up early, and the nap on the plane wasn’t that long.
I dragged myself out of the bath, drying off and wrapping myself in the robe before I washed my face and brushed my teeth. I propped up the pillows, leaving the curtains open as I found the remote to the TV. It was quiet here, and I found peace, but it felt strange to be so far away from home. I found a movie on TV, relaxing as I watched it idly.
I played back my day with my boss. He was lightening up a bit, even flirting if I wasn’t mistaken. I didn’t know what to make of that but pursuing it was wrong. Dating at work alone was a bad idea, much less your boss. He just made me feel things, and I shifted on the bed. I knew that he was more than the cold shell of a man that most saw, and it turned me on a little bit.
God, I was stupid.
I closed my eyes as the TV droned on, turning to my side as I started to drift off to sleep. I fell into a hard rest and woke up on my other side in the middle of a sex dream about Seth. I gasped as I realized that my robe was open, and I’d been touching myself. “I don’t do this. What’s wrong with me?” I whispered as I blinked in the dim light from the TV. I dated guys in the past, and it was fine, but I never dreamed about them.
I thought about the man in the room beside mine, wondering where his bed was. Was it against the same wall, and did he hear the noises that woke me up? Oh, my God.
I had a restless sleep from there, worried that he heard me. I even thought I heard a moan from the other side of the wall, embarrassed that I listened to something so private.
I rose before the alarm, showering, and getting ready for the day. I applied some makeup, choosing neutral shades and a pale pink gloss to match the pale pink skirt and cream blouse that I picked to wear today. I decided to braid my hair to keep it out of my face, hearing a knock at the door. “It’s cold outside. Bring a jacket,” Seth told me as I opened it, inviting him in as I finished up. I slipped heels on and grabbed my jacket, bundling up before we left the hotel.
We chose a chain restaurant for a leisurely breakfast, and I drank a lot of coffee. I needed to be awake today when we headed to the office. Once there, everyone seemed excited to see Seth even though he went into business mode right away. I smiled as I shook hands with the small staff and pulled out my tablet if I needed to take notes.
Seth was patient as he taught me, and I made a note of what he was doing. I did want to do this on my own, enjoying the traveling and adrenaline of solving a problem. It was a big issue with their connection problem that controlled all of their programs, and we’d be here for more than a day.
We grabbed a quick lunch in the building and dinner once we were finished for the night. We ended up at the same place for more seafood, and I sipped the beer gratefully. “What a day. They’re in a real mess.”
“Yes, they are. That’s why I wanted to be here personally. It’s going to take some time, but did you learn anything?” he asked as I nodded with a smile.
“So much. They’re so into what you’re doing, though their business does depend on it.” I bit into my crab sandwich, pleased by the different flavors that filled my mouth. “So good.”
“It seems like seafood is our thing,” Seth said softly as I gazed at him.
“Our thing?” I repeated, and he nodded. “I’m glad that you like it as I do. Not many do.”
“That’s true,” he replied, and I frowned
for a moment.
“What made you choose the place that night we worked late? I was supposed to eat there that same night,” I said, and he took a slow breath before shrugging.
“You wanted seafood, and it’s my favorite place, next to this one.” Seth bit into a shrimp, and I grabbed a french fry.
My phone rang on the way back to the hotel, and I saw Jack’s name. “Hey,” I said as Seth answered his phone.
“I didn’t see you at work for the last two days. Is everything okay?” Jack asked, and I frowned. Didn’t he know that we were traveling for work with the gossip in the office?
“We’re in Maryland for work, Jack. I assumed that you knew,” I replied, seeing Seth turn his head to look at me.
“You’re with Seth Morgan?” he asked, and I rolled my eyes.
“I am,” I replied, hearing the soft tone in Seth’s voice. “Are you okay?”
“Shelby told me that she’s pregnant,” he said as my mouth fell open.
“Is that possible this quickly?” I asked as he sighed at the other end.
“I’ve been with her before this time around, so yes. She swears it’s mine. What the fuck am I supposed to do now?” he asked as I walked into the lobby of the hotel.
“Man up and be there. It takes two, you know.”
“I just accept that it’s mine? I don’t want to be together with Shelby forever just because of a baby,” Jack whined, and I started to hate him.
“Then don’t be with her, but you have to be there if the baby is yours. Do one of those tests if you really need to, but she seems to like you a lot.” Why was he calling to tell me this after telling me that he wanted to date me?
“I love you, baby girl,” Seth said into his phone as he leaned against the wall.
“I have to go, Jack. We’re back at the hotel, and I need some sleep. Take responsibility for this.” I ended the call, pushing the button for the elevator. I should be pissed at Jack, but it was Seth I felt more concerned about right now. Who was this baby girl?
He stepped on the empty car with me, still talking. Now, he sounded like he was talking to someone else, and I closed my eyes, trying to ignore it. My phone vibrated in my hand, and I looked down at it to see that it was jack.
Jack: I want you, Brenna.
Brenna: I think you’ve got yourself in enough of a situation, Jack.
My phone was pulled from my hand, and I stared at Seth in shock as he read the messages. “The fuck?” he asked before stepping closer to me. “Do you want him?”
“No,” I said, wanting to tell Seth that I wanted him until he told someone that he loved them. He moved even closer, and I felt his body heat through our clothes. “I wanted you.”
“You can have me,” he told me, leaning into me as he brushed his lips over mine. I gasped, slipping an arm around his neck to pull him down again, deepening the kiss as I moaned against him. My entire body ached as he slid his arms under the jacket to pull me closer.
The door dinged, and we pulled apart to stumble to our rooms. Seth pulled his key out to open his door, tugging me inside to force me against the wall for another deep kiss. I returned it, losing all of my senses but need. I moved to slide the coat off, feeling his hand at the back of my skirt to slide down the zipper. Once that was off, he slipped his hands around my thighs to lift me, carrying me to the bed.
I felt the mattress, trying to find my logic as he spread my thighs apart. “Seth. Should we do this?” I panted as he dropped my shoes to the floor. I’d been cold but his mouth kissing up my legs made me hot and achy all over my body.
He tugged my underwear down, tossing them to the side before he stroked me slowly. I moaned, dropping to the bed as I arched against him. “More, please,” I told him, as he slid his finger inside of me. “Oh, God.”
“You’re so tight, Brenna,” Seth told me as I felt him pull out of me. “Do you want this?”
“I want you,” I repeated as I watched him stand to shed his clothes. He returned to me, taking off my shirt and bra before leaning down to suck one of my nipples into his mouth. I arched into him, feeling his hand circling my clit as I went over the edge. There was no turning back, and I shamelessly rocked against him, feeling his teeth drag over my skin. I knew I was close, knew that I was going to lose all control with this man.
He moved his hand harder, moving to the other breast to lavish attention on it. I moaned, remembering coming around his cock in the dream the night before. He slid a finger inside of me, still thumbing my clit as I cried out his name. “That’s it, baby,” he said as I came for him, arching my back with the force of it. “I am going to taste you now.”
No man had ever spent a lot of time down there on me, and I opened my eyes as he covered me with his mouth. I kept coming on his tongue as he dragged the orgasm out, drawing my clit into his mouth as he drank me in.
Is this how it was supposed to feel?
I came one more time, weaker this round. Seth hovered over me, kissing my mouth as I tasted myself on him. “You’re so sweet. Like honey,” he said as I ate away at his lips. I felt him hard against my stomach, reaching down to touch him. Seth hissed as I did, telling me that he wanted to come inside of me.
Chapter 11
Seth
“Are you on birth control?” I asked her as she stroked my cock with her hot little hand. “I always use condoms, and I’m clean. I swear to you. I need to feel you around me.”
“Clean and on the pill,” Brenna gasped, and I stared into her eyes.
“You’re mine,” I said as I settled between her legs, sliding into her tight heat. She cried out, holding me close as our hot skin slid together. She was so wet and tight around me as I took her again, needing this woman in my life. Her nipples were hard, pressing against me and her pussy squeezed me like a vice. I gazed into her eyes, kissing her as I took her a little harder, needing that.
She moved with me, fucking me back as we found a rhythm. “Seth. Oh, God,” Brenna moaned, losing all inhibitions as she jerked into me. I knew that she was close for the third time and fucked it right out of her, pleased to hear her scream. Brenna stilled, and I kept moving to come as soon as I could. I jerked as I spilled inside of her, hearing her moan as my heat filled her.
Eventually, I rolled off of her, breathing deeply. I rose and went to the bathroom to get a cloth to clean her, watching her smile into my eyes. “I’ve never had anyone do that for me,” she said as I smiled.
“I need to make sure you’re clean. I came a lot,” he said as she blushed and laughed.
“I felt it,” Brenna whispered as I dropped the cloth to the floor and pulled her against me. I glanced at the window to see snow falling, pulling her over me to show her.
“Look at that,” I told her as she rested her head against my chest.
“Maybe we can stay in the room,” Brenna joked as I longed for a blizzard to make that happen. “Can I ask you something, Seth?”
“What’s that?” I stroked her back, loving the feel of her soft skin against my fingers.
“Who were you talking to earlier?”
I was so pissed that she was talking to Jack that I forgot about my call. It helped some to hear that he fucked up and got my employee pregnant, but why the fuck did he have to call Brenna about it?
“I have a daughter, Brenna.”
She fell silent for few minutes, and I closed my eyes, hoping I didn’t just mess this entire thing up.
“I love you, Seth.” She said looking deep into my eyes and my heart melted as I could feel the warmth of her love.
“I love you too Brenna.” I said as leaned in to shower kisses to her beautiful face.
I didn’t know when I fell in love with her deeply and madly. And now she was in my arms and I knew we were going to be there for each other forever.
