“That’s good, ok here is the deal. That particular property 360 acres, you can only homestead 160. The winery area is 45 acres and it has a pretty large pond on it about 30 acres. Nobody has surveyed to see how many fish might be left in it, David you can do the survey but not for a few weeks.
“If Boudreaux and Lowbuck sign the lease as a co-op agricultural business I will let them have it based on farming and distilling know how and that will bump Pastor John out based on lack of experience. Don’t get excited yet there are a few caveats that come with that property. First off one third of the food crops raised must be sold to the government food stores at their set market price. “Candice said and LowBuck agreed.
“The CDC has prioritized getting grapes back into production because they contain flavonoids they need to create syrup to help fight the latest flu pandemic. They are going to want a large percentage of any grapes you grow so I don’t know if you will have any left for wine making but it seems to me I heard somewhere you can get flavonoids as a by product of wine making. That’s not my thing you will have to talk to their representative because grapes are considered a strategic resource at the moment. Since David hasn’t signed his paperwork yet, technically he doesn’t work for us yet so we can get you signed up for the property as a leased defense contractor. You will have to file paperwork for your homestead the same as anyone else and have the committee vote on it. Pastor John might still file on it if he wants to buy seeing that I am giving you boys a two year lease on it I doubt he will but you can never tell.” Candice advised telling them the means of loop holing Lowbuck in if he didn’t mind being a government contractor versus a homesteader.
“That’s fine by me but Boudreaux is not with us on this trip. He is still back at the lake. I know he will agree but I am going to have a hard time getting him back over here to sign anything.” LowBuck said stroking his beard contemplating how he could go retrieve Boudreaux.
“I will get you a driver tomorrow and you can go get him.” Candice replied
“Now since you ruined my relaxing evening I think you guys owe me some drinks!” Candice said back to her charming self.
“I think we owe you both lots of drinks! Bartender set the bar up a round its time to party!” David declared beaming a smile at Jack and Candice.
