Chapter 139

  Dragonic Prestige, Invincible Jing Mingyun!

Achilly wind swept across the airborne battlefield bringing with it the thick scent of death that formed from the surroundings, as this wind moved the sounds of a vicious combat continued to resound from a distance with shockwaves formed from energy collisions and massive explosions formed from joint attacks.

Currently, at a different section of this battlefield was a region filled with pure silence as no fiend or natives in this region even bothered to battle, they paid close attention to four individuals gathered at their central position.

The winds rustling their robes which made ‘flapping’ noises, as their hairs playfully danced around with the gales.

A beautiful white-haired female whose body glowed with a unique kind of aura stood calmly before a handsome red-haired youth that stood on top of a strange flying artifact, her face carrying an indifferent expression as she gazed towards the seductive looking female aqua nymph before her with eyes that gleamed with sharp killing intent.

“You’ve come, good! good!” Titana said, her eyes grew redder by the second, as her state of madness only got more intense upon seeing another source for her hatred. She pulled her arm from Jing Mingyun’s grasp placing it by her side as she puffed out her voluptuous chest which was now only a few centimeters apart from Jing Mingyun’s well-endowed mountains.

Their faces right before each other with Jing Mingyun looking upwards as Titana looked downwards due to their differences in height, Feng Yu seeing this standoff slowly dismissed himself as the Void Disk glided in the air backward edging away from this region that was bound to transform into a new brutal battlefield.

As he slowly escaped their range, he couldn’t help but send a message to Jing Mingyun, “Be careful, the shadow elder is also here and judging by their confidence in leading this army, I feel that they have something more to rely on other than their strength...”

Jing Mingyun hearing his words couldn’t help but glance towards the silent Dark Supreme Elder whose expression remained indifferent and unexplainable as if everything was in his control. She then nodded her head as the corners of her lips rose into a confident smile before she replied, “Um. I understand, but regardless of what they bring out I shall be fine...”

Feng Yu hearing her words no longer commented as he felt her self-confidence come from something he currently didn’t possess, true strength... grasping his fists tightly he quickly moved away from the battle zone as he said to himself, “I must grow even stronger... strong enough to be the vanguard for all I want to protect!”

Swish! His figure quickly turned into a ray of light as he rushed towards the location of Zyne and Demetria, skilfully making his way through the chaotic battles occurring in the regions, as his figure was about to vanish from this region the silent Dark Supreme Elder finally smiled, ready to make his move.

“Small human brat, did I say you could leave?” As the Dark Supreme Elder said this, his eyes glowed in a sinister light as he lifted his hand pointing it towards the distant Feng Yu. Instantly, a dark power arose from his body shooting a dark string that moved no different from a beam of light towards Feng Yu.

Titana seeing this also smiled as her eyes glowed in a bright scarlet hue, she looked Jing Mingyun in her eyes as she mocked, “Hehe! I don’t even have to kill that brat myself, as lord gloomy over there can easily handle him. Now then, do you remember our last battle? How you ran away like a dog as I killed those weak companions of yours? How did it feel to---?”

Titana was about to speak out her long-prepared reunion speech, but before she could finish, she was interrupted by Jing Mingyun’s indifferent voice.

“It seems that you don’t know who you're dealing with... you stand before my presence without my command and dare to speak...” As Jing Mingyun said this, her aura instantly rose by a tremendous scale as her face began to synchronize with a form whose legend had long since vanished from these realms.

The moment she synchronized with the figure of the elusive figure, they both spoke in a commanding voice filled with an ancient type of dignity that could only come from a higher class being. “You shall kneel!”

Buzzz! Following her voice, the world rippled with a sharp buzzing energy as if the void itself could do nothing but listen to her command.

Instantly, the beam-like string that traveled towards Feng Yu broke to pieces while the figures of both the Dark Supreme Elder and Titania sunk down in the air pushing them onto their knees as if they were on the ground.

Feeling this oppressive energy, both Titana and the Dark Supreme Elder became shocked as they struggled to move their bodies from their current position.

“Argh! Dammit! This... this is dragon prestige! How did she recover to such an extent?” The Shadow Elder exclaimed as he gritted his teeth, his dark energies completely shrouded his figure which after a fair amount of time allowed him to resist the terrifying will.

Titana also managed to resist the strange will sent by Jing Mingyun after a while of struggling. She used her strange source energies which called upon an unusual set of musical notes from the surroundings allowing her to stand upright once again.

“Tsk! I don’t know how you recovered, but so what you are no match for both us at the same time!” Titana said with a shout as she flipped her hands summoning her strange but magical conch shell.

The Dark Supreme Elder also had a similar opinion, but he didn’t dare to underestimate her strengths, he spoke solemnly, “Titana, she is of pure dragon birth if her powers and source energies have truly recovered to an optimal state, we will stand no grounds against it. Don’t underestimate her strengths...” As he said this, his body began to fade into the surroundings soon after vanishing from the world as only his voice was left behind, “Dark World...”

Immediately following his words, the world became dark as the figure of Titana also vanished within, this darkness spread outwards fully occupying a region of 5 kilometers.

As Jing Mingyun saw this change, she didn’t react in any way of surprise, her expression still indifferent as she spoke as if speaking to the void itself, “Your manipulation of the Darkness Dao Strand is pretty good, in fact, they are so good that I’m starting to believe you didn’t learn these tricks by yourself... humph! Still, your attempts to obscure my vision is futile...”

After finishing her words, she lightly gripped her palms into a fist which caused the strange energies around her form to increase even more.

Bang! These energies then swept across the darkness in an uncontrolled manner crushing all traces which it swept across. After a short while, the power had utterly engulfed the darkness turning the area in a region of pure white.

Eventually, these energies faded revealing only two figures being that of the calm Jing Mingyun who now had her palms clasped together, and the slightly injured Titana whose hands were currently shaking as she gripped her conch shell.

A barrier made of musical notes wrapped her entire body, but it soon broke to pieces as the corner of her mouth began to flow with her fiendish blood, she looked towards Jing Mingyun with a hint of fear.

“Cough! She’s far more powerful than I’d imagine. If, if I didn’t instinctively play my Dao Notes, I… I would have...” As she thought to herself, her fear grew even more, not willing to give Jing Mingyun another change she opened her mouth and yelled, “How long are you going to wait? We must use our cards and strike her down together!”

“Cough!” Suddenly, a coughing sound was heard as the Dark Supreme elder appeared from the void, his countenance slightly pale as the corner of his mouth had bloodstains seeming to have received some sort of backlash.

The Dark Supreme Elder then looked towards Titana and spoke in a cold tone, “Humph! I don’t need you to tell me that Titana...” After he said this, the world changed once again as he lifted his hand that now held an unusual looking black paper towards Jing Mingyun as he spoke, “Dark Curtain...”

  Immediately after his
words, they ripped this back paper into the two causing a section of the world for no more than 5 kilometers to once again become no different from night, as the darkness descended from the void almost like it was peeling itself from the sky. The darkness moved quickly as it swiftly wrapped around the form of the silently standing Jing Mingyun who looked at both the Dark Supreme Elder and Titana with indifference.

As Titana saw this, she smiled recovering a bit of her usual seductive manner and confidence as she spoke, “Prepare to die you wretch!”

After she said this, the magic conch in her hands began to glow in a bright blue light as she placed the end of the conch shell in her mouth and started to play a strange tune. “♫♩♫♩♫♩♫♩♫♫♩♩♫♫♩♩♫”

The very moment this tune sounded, the will of her mind resounded throughout the area as it spoke to the world, “Melody of Frost...”

As if they were acting in compliance to this tune, a string of odd blue musical notes soon after rushed towards Jing Mingyun seeping through the sheet of darkness that wrapped around her form as they attached themselves to her skin soon after releasing a frost like energy as if trying to seal her from existence.

After playing the tune successfully, Titana started to wipe her sweat as a layer of exhaustion could be seen on her face. She looked at the trapped and freezing figure of Jing Mingyun before glancing at the Dark Elder and asking, “What do you think? Is this enough to finish her?”

The Dark Supreme Elder remained silent as he heard her words, his eyes peering into the layers upon layers of curtains formed from the darkness that suppressed Jing Mingyun seeking to understand her current situation.

He frowned while muttering, “Hrm? Even if she were a dragon, there is no way she can directly avoid the effects of two Dao Strands, wait, her Dao if I remember correctly it was...” As if answering his question, the voice of Jing Mingyun could once again be heard from the curtain of darkness.

“Eternal Fate Wheel...” The moment this was said, a massive white wheel with many complex runes formed within the area around the curtains of darkness along with the musical notes that surrounded Jing Mingyun.

Quickly, they started to fade away as if they were fated to vanish from all including time. After this happened, the figure of Jing Mingyun once again appeared still looking at the two before indifferently as she spoke, “You two have already wasted enough of my time. Now, allow me to show you what it means to battle an early stage 5 dragon, this is true dragon prestige...”

As she said this, she gripped both of her palms tightly as the energies emitted from her body started to change. The moment this happened the heavens itself grew chaotic as the thunders within the clouds streaked about in a frenzy as if panicking due to the power that was unfolding.

Zap! Bang! Following the streak of a massive thunderbolt which flashed behind Jing Mingyun, there came the real change. Her hair rose slightly above her head as a pure white aura surrounded her figure as this aura continued to expand reaching an expanse of 1000 meters before forming a cyclone of energies that spun around Jing Mingyun’s figure that floated at its direct center.

The instant this cyclone formed, it was as if the entire space became unstable, all fiends that were within the 5-kilometer radius were sucked into the cyclone of energies soon after turning into dust.

Titana and the Dark Supreme Elder seeing this scene became surprised, but soon, their expression became bitter as they looked towards Jing Mingyun with a regretful gaze.

“These dragons... so powerful, no matter which era they are born... sigh!” The Dark Supreme Elder said as he looked at the domineering Jing Mingyun shrouded by energies, Titana remained silent as she gritted her teeth, the killing intent in her eyes growing stronger.

Having fully unleashed her auras, Jing Mingyun finally spoke once more to the two, “It is time for our battle to come to an end...”

After saying this, she then lifted her hand pointing her fingers towards the Dark Shadow Elder, and Titana as groups of her overwhelming energies swirled around her finger, quickly they formed a small white ball that pulsated with an even more terrifying prestige.

The Shadow Elder and Titana seeing this ball of light felt as if their worlds came to an end, as they both exclaimed, “Not good! It’s a true Draconic Art, we must fall---” A pity though; before they could even finish, Jing Mingyun had already completed preparations for her attack.

Her face still indifferent, she spoke in a cold tone, “Dragonic Arts: Flick of the Dragon’s Finger!”

As she yelled, her finger that condensed the ball of pulsating energies bent touching her thumb for a short moment before flicking outwards.

Piiiiiiiiiiii! Instantly, the ball of light the ball transformed into a ray which beamed outwards in a cone-like shape blanketing all things within its path.

The Dark Supreme Elder and Titana who were caught within this beam didn’t even have a chance to react as their bodies started to fade away into nothingness leaving behind only their pitiful wails, “Nooooooo!”

The conical-ray carried their fading bodies into the distance beaming through the distant rainy skies soon after colliding with a faraway group of mountains.

BOOOOM! A massive mushroom cloud quickly formed sending clusters of chaotic energies across the region as it lit up the distant horizon filling any onlookers with an apocalyptic kind of dread.

The fiends who were battling the native each paused as even Troop Commander Vandus who was battling Myria and Leon, along with the 1st Tier leaders such as Ulan, Kiria, and the others looked towards the distant mushroom cloud with a solemn look on their faces. The alliance army of natives having seen this each lifted their hands yelled at the peak of their voices.

“His heiress has claimed victory over the enemy’s leaders! Uwwaaaaaaaaaaa!” Their shouts echoing across the void as the morals of each native rose to its peak, they looked at the fiends before them like wolves were ready to pounce on their injured prey.

“Kill them all!” A natural looking dwarfin said standing at the forefront of the alliance armies; he was the newly recovered Elder Jisk from the dwarfin clan.

  Swish! Swish! Swish! Spuff! Spuff!

Like swarms of blurry shades, the army swept through the disordered fiends ruthlessly harvesting all of the fiends, as this happened, the distant Feng Yu who was now approaching the region of Zyne and Demetria could’t help but grip the hilt of Black Lightning as even his blood boiled with excitement for this war's closing act.

“Everyone fall back! We have lost this battle; leave the rest to lord Kefalas!” Ulan said in a loud voice, the fiend army hearing his words quickly recovered as they started to gather together in an attempt to retreat.

Troop Commander Vandus who had halted his battle with both Leon and Myria frowned as he heard these words, he lifted his head and shouted, “Where are you all going?! The Palace Lord had not given the orders to retreat. The battle isn’t over, stay in your positions!”

His voice quickly resounding across the entire region, the retreating fiends hearing this faltered for a moment, but after looking at the retreating forms of Ulan and Kiria they continued to escape.

Vandus seeing this frowned even more, as he cursed under his breath, “Dammit! You two bastards when I get my hands on...”

“You dare to ignore us while in battle? You are truly courting death!!!” Leon yelled as his figure abruptly appeared within the Troop Commander’s blind spot, he swiftly launched a series of fists assaults which turned into many after images of punches, “Chiseling Fists!”

Swish! Swish! Swish! Each of his fist attacks was rather strange as if they had transformed into a sharp blade that could carve away anything they swept across.

Vandus having sensed the danger instantly reacted; he skilfully twisted his body narrowly avoiding the deadly chisel-like fists of Leon. However, in the end, it was futile for Leon’s attack was only the prelude...

“Aqua Slicer!” The voice of Myria could now be heard coming from ab
ove, quickly a series of extremely thin water whips that gleamed in a sharp light flashed across his with incredible speeds.

Feeling the even more severe threat from Myria’s attacks, Vandus quickly responded once more as he gave up avoiding Leon’s attacks using one of his hands to grab Leon by the throat. As this happened, both of Leon’s chisel-like fist plunged deeply into Vandus's chest causing his blood to rush out like an endless stream.

“Chet!” Gritting his teeth to bear the pain, Vandus did not have any time to try and remove Leon’s fists, he could only tighten his grip around his neck in an attempt to break his neck while his other hand moved.

He jerked his spear with a slight movement of his wrists, causing his spear to become illusive bending around like a snake due to the extreme hand motions.

Swish! Swish! Swish! Ping! Ping! Ping!

The spear tip and aqua blade like whips each collided back and forth for some time before the spear finally overwhelmed the whip attacks immediately causing them to disperse. The moment this happened, the Vandus could finally heave a sigh of relief as his expression became one of pure confidence once more.

Still, he now found it strange that the struggling Leon whose neck was being crushed by his palms and the distant airborne Myria who seemed to have received a backlash due her previous attack had strangely mocking smiles on their faces.

Vandus seeing this began to ponder, “What’s going on here? Chet! I bet they are only trying to bait me into believing they are in control... hmph! I will start by killing this bastard then I’ll see if they can still sneer...”

Upon saying this, the corner of his lips rose into a wicked smile as he prepared to fully exert the gripping force in his hand around Leon’s neck. Oddly enough, however, he soon came to realize that was not only his fingers, but his body could not move...

“What the---” Vandus was about to complain, but his words instantly halted as his mouth opened in pure surprise. Currently, his view of the word began to change, as his arms, torso, legs, and head were now wholly separated. A few nearly invisible strands of aqua whips were now slowly dissipating from his now diced up body.
