  “You... you...” Vandus tried to speak, but his blood soon began to overflow his mouth causing him to choke, as his body fell to pieces torrents upon torrents of blood soon stained the grounds at the base of the crater.

  Leon had now finally become free from the loosened hand that wrapped around his neck. He sat on the floor as he tried to recover his breath having narrowly escaped the jaws or rather, the hands of death looked towards Myria with a gaze of acknowledgment.

  Myria seeing this felt smug even though she was exhausted having used a trump card version of her best killing attack, she proudly stuck out her tiny body’s chest as she spoke, “Humph! Only an arrogant fool, this is the price for underestimating this princess!”

  Leon, hearing this, frowned as he spoke up, “You speak as if you were the only one in this battle...”

  “Well, I was the one who finished him!” Myria said in a matter of fact tone, as she no longer paid attention to Leon but focused on the scene above.

  Leon gritted his teeth as he heard her words; he cricked his neck and shook his shoulder trying to recover to his top form before inspecting the corpse of the Vandus.

  “The mechanism for controlling those nets should still be on his person...” Leon said as he slowly made his way over to the corpse, Myria who had now taken her gaze from the scene above also flapped her wings and flew over to the body, but before they could both reach him, there was a sudden change...

  “Huhuhuhu...” A burst of sinister laughter sounded, one that seemed to be filled with grieve but ruthless decisiveness at the same time.

  Leon and Myria were shocked as they looked at the floating head that now rose up, its mouth still full of blood, with its eyes turned over as only a dark fiendish energy kept emitting from it.

  After this happened, Vandus once again continued to speak with his mind, “To think I’d fall to my own carelessness, still it’s no matter for if I die here, I won’t die alone. Ulan, Kiria, you dare to betray me, you dare to not listen to my commands! Good! Good! HELLION!!!!!”

  “HELLION!... HELLION!... HELLION!” His shout echoing across the battlefield traveling all the way to a distant battle between the Hellionfiend and the Gia Brambles, as if it was calmly playing around and waiting for this chance, the Hellionfiend paused its motions moving his gaze towards the distant crater as if it could see the headless Troop Commander.

  “Chuckle! So, you’re finally ready to accept my aid, tell me, what do you offer?” The Hellionfiend said in a dark tone, its deep red eyes glowing in a sinister light as his nefarious auras started to change.

  Zyne and Demetria who noticed this change became solemn as they didn’t expect for the Hellionfiend to act so soon as they still didn’t find a decent solution with regard to dealing with its hidden strength.

  The distant Jing Mingyun who had dispatched the enemy leaders finally shifted her vision towards the Hellionfiend, a frown now visible on her face as she spoke, “This will be quite troublesome...”

  Piiiii! A beam of light had only now arrived at the location of Zyne, and Demetria reforming into Feng Yu who rode on top of his Void Disk, after arriving he didn’t even have the luxury to greet them instead, he looked towards the Hellionfiend while asking, “This... what’s going now?”

  Zyne and Demetra shook their heads as they heard his words, after a very short while Zyne looked towards Feng Yu before speaking in a solemn tone, “This is no Hellionfiend, it is a top-class fiend... a creature merely posing as a rare archetype Hellionfiend, known as... Illusroy Hellfiend

  Feng Yu hearing this term was stunned as she recalled something from long ago, a rumor passed around in his old world, “A fiend whose illusions are capable of shrouding in the heavens, good heavens! Aren’t they supposed to be sealed in here, where did they get such a creature from a simple summoning formation?”

  Immediately after Feng Yu said this, a voice quickly sounded from behind him, “They have helpers... and the worse possible kind at that...”

  Feng Yu hearing this felt confused, but the faces of Demetria and Zyne instantly sunk as they knew full well what this meant. Jing Mingyun once more continued as her eyes gazed towards the Hellionfiend with a deep hatred, one that seemed to be melded at the depths of her soul as she slowly opened her mouth to speak, “They are a kind not of this world, a terrifying set of beings from a realm that is far beyond our reach...”

  Her voice trailing with the wind which was traveling once more towards the depths of the crater below their feet, before the ominous floating head of Vandus which gave off an eerie smile as it spoke…

  “I accept...”

  Chapter 140

  The Illusory Hellfiend Andronamus!

  The world grew gloomy, as even the relentless rains couldn’t drown this new mood. The environment was now taking on a tone of gray as if it had lost all colors in the world. Suddenly, the panicked fiends who were busy escaping from the army of natives became stuck in place, as if some strange kind of force was binding their movements.

  Quickly, a dark kind of energy permeated the world as the voice belonging to Hellionfiend sounded to the minds of all individuals, “The deal shall be done, but your debts must first be paid, come!”

  As the fiend said this, his body began to change quickly reshaping into a humanoid form from the previous beast-like appearance. His body was dark, with deep purplish eyes and two long sets of curved horns on his forehead, as he wore a strange black robe which was shredded at its hems with dark looking chains that made ‘clink-clink’ noises as they shook back and forth.

  He then promptly opened his mouth, revealing a vicious set of teeth before taking in a deep breath.

  Swooosssh! Instantly, a cold wind blew, pulling with it the blood essence of all fiends within the armies, leaving not a single bit behind. Vandus knowing full well that he could not escape his destiny smiled cruelly as he looked at Myria and Leon before leaving behind his last words while fading into the winds that traveled towards the entity.

  “You shall all die!”

  Swish! Swish! Quickly, the bodies of even the mightiest leaders such as Ulan, Kiria, and the rest were exploding, not even given a chance to scream in pain as they were all swept toward the mouth of the Hellionfiend.

  After a short moment, all of the fiends vanished leaving behind a single dark entity that stood proudly above everyone, as it looked towards them with a grin on its face. It moved its eyes across the natives before narrowing his gaze on Jing Mingyun and Feng Yu.

  "So, they wanted me to kill you both... heh, this should be rather entertaining..." It thought to itself with a smile, it then glanced at the Gia Brambles, Zyne, and Demetria before speaking once more.

  “Your resistance is futile...” After saying this, he lifted his head and spoke as if proclaiming the end of all beings.

  “I am the Illusory Hellfiend, the 5th disciple of Devil Lord Rashaman from Hell’s 3rd ring. You may call me, Andronamus, the Dream Slayer. Prepare yourselves, for your time, has come...”

  As he said this, his arms that were placed by his side slowly rose as a shocking energy erupted from his body. Yet, while his power was no different from an early 1st cycle True Soul realm expert, his fearfulness came from an entirely different class of battle strength.

  “Dreams of the End...” Andronamus said, as his strange power started to seep into the bodies of all individuals in the region. In a few short seconds, everyone had fallen into a deep sleep unable to react or do anything to extricate themselves.

  As the figures of Zyne, Demetria, Myria, and Leon fell into a slumber, only the powerful Jing Mingyun who relied on her dragonic powers, as well as Feng Yu who relied on his bloodline and unusually powerful soul force, remained awakened.

  Andronamus seeing these two frowned, but he quickly recovered his expression as he spoke with a sneer on his face, “Well, it’s no wonder that you're both on my priority list. Hmm, it would have certainly been an interesting scene to see what you would become in this day and age, but sadly, it
doesn’t look like a certain force wishes for that to occur...”

  After saying this, his eyes glowed in an even stranger light as the strange energies that permeated the surroundings increased by another fold.

  Feng Yu gritted his teeth as he struggled to resist the sleeping energies, his body in a drowsy state as he thought to himself, “Damn!"

  “Yu'er, this is the inborn ability of this Hellfiend, and while it is far inferior to my clan’s Dragonic Transformation, it excels an area that supersedes it, being one of the top rank abilities that directly target one's soul...” Jing Mingyun said as she looked towards Andronamus with a serious gaze.

  “How do we overcome it?” Feng Yu asked while struggling to keep his fading consciousness.

  Jing Mingyun hearing his words continued, “Like all things in life, special races and bloodline lifeforms despite being born with overwhelming abilities each have their own weaknesses. This kind of Hellfiend has one very significant setback, that being his soul... to power this kind of attack he would need to utilize every ounce of his soul energies to keep everyone inside of his dream realm. However, if you can overcome his dream realm with your own consciousness, you will be able to give his soul a direct blow in its extremely weakened state immobilizing him for a short period.” Jing Mingyun said.

  Feng Yu hearing this understood what had to be done; he glanced at Jing Mingyun once more before speaking, “Fine! I will do it, no matter what kind of dream it is I will overcome it with sheer willpower, because if there is anything in this world that I am most confident in...”

  After speaking to hear, the corner of his lips rose into a smile before he continued, “It is my soul...”

  As Jing Mingyun heard this, she couldn’t help but recall the scene of back when they were escaping the Dark Palace when Feng Yu broke Myria’s illusions with a strange Soul Dao Technique.

  She looked towards him for a moment before focusing on the silent Andronamus who seemed as if he was watching a show as he calmly observed them from a distance. She then spoke, “Although I’m currently not able to use my dragon form, I should be able to fight him on the same almost on the plane preventing him from causing harm to the outside... as long as you break his dream realm, I will be able to use that chance to finish him with a powerful technique.”

  Feng Yu hearing this finally nodded his head, after struggling to lift his head to give her one last look, he spoke, “Be... careful...” Immediately, after saying this, he gave up resisting the strange energies which instantly placed him to sleep.

  Andronamus who had been observing their actions seeing this sneered, “How foolish! Do you think I don’t know what you’d been talking about? Let me guess; you want to use him to break my illusions? An excellent idea, but that would have worked only if I had used a standard illusion. The enemy of this dream is no one but himself, hahaha!”

  “Are you only capable of talking, or can you actually fight...” Jing Mingyun said in a proud tone as her energies rose to its peak once more.

  “Without your dragon form, how can you fight me?” Andronamus said in a mocking tone, he took a step forward instantly arrived a few meters distance in front of Jing Mingyun his fiendish energies surrounding his body and oppressing everything within his range.

  As she heard his words, Jing Mingyun only smiled for a short moment before replying, “While I don’t have my dragon form, I’m still more than capable of preventing you from doing any sort of major damages... and, you seemed to have forgotten something...”

  After pausing her speech, the wind in the area started to blow once again as the stillness seemed to have come to an end. Suddenly, three individuals abruptly awoke from their state of dreams with solemn looks on their faces as their energies rose to its peak.

  Jing Mingyun looking at these three individuals finally spoke once again, “I never said that I was alone, now did I...”

  “Hahaha! My old bones have grown rusty, to think I almost fell into a brat like your dream realm...” Zyne said in a hearty manner, as he floated on his bright hammer.

  “An Illusory Hellfiend’s method is vast indeed, but you are not at a level where we will need to feel despair...” Queen Demetria said in a calm voice.

  Crack-crack! Suddenly, clusters upon clusters of massive thorns materialized from the void pulling all of the sleeping alliance members into its grasp separating them from this battlefield by a few kilometers. The figure of the humanoid female Gia Bramble finally appeared once more standing behind the figures of Jing Mingyun, Zyne, and Demetria as it completed their battle formation.

  “Hmph!” Andronamus snorted as he saw their attempt to resist him, he lifted his arm pointing towards the newly formed squad before him as his energies shrouded his form before speaking. “I’d like to see how you resist my strength! Prepare yourself, for I will be taking you all to Hell!!!”

  “Sleeping Fiend’s Claw!” He roared as an illusory claw formed above his head, this claw was huge being no smaller than a mountain which descended at speed far greater than any meteor from space.

  Swwwooooossssh! The claw instantly arrived before Jing Mingyun and the others seeming to not be willing to give them any time to react, but it was a pity, for the moment Andronamus attacked they had already reacted.

  Piiiiii! A beam of white light shot towards the oncoming claws with an invincible prestige, quickly this light collided with claws instantly creating a massive boom.

  Bang! The shockwave scattered out for a 10-kilometer radius, as the figure Jing Mingyun could be seen standing at the back directly before the claw attack, her slender looking palms grasping the humongous claw as if it was nothing more than a toy.

  Andronamus knitted his brows as he saw this, he thought to himself, “Her strength is still at a monstrous degree... hmm, this must be due to her rich dragonic--” However, before he could even finish his line of thoughts, the corner of his eyes shifted as he looked towards his right side.

  “Bright---!” A voice said, immediately following the voice a bright light soon covered the area causing Andronamus to squint his eyes for a moment. As this happened, the figure of Zyne soon after appeared from the clusters of bright light, his arms firmly gripping a long handle which seemed to be connecting to the source of blinding bright lights.

  “Hammer Smash!!!!” Zyne yelled once again as he swung the Bright Hammer forwards, its radiant lights growing even more intense as the gigantic hammer-head smashed towards Andronamus with full force.

  Whoosh! The winds grew chaotic as they were swept into disarray due to the hammers swinging force, in mere moments the glowing hammer-head finally collided with the still squinting Andronamus.

  Bang! Another shocking boom erupted soon after sending a great shockwave across the area, moments later the bright lights from the hammer faded, revealing the scene hidden beneath it.

  The figures of both Zyne and Andronamus could now be seen a few meters distance from each other; Zyne’s hands were currently trembling as they held the constantly vibrating handle of his Bright Hammer which was stopped by a single hand of Andronamus.

  “Is that it? How disappointing...” Andronamus said with a look of disappointment in his eyes, he lifted his free hand which was previously used to launch the claw attack and pointed it towards Zyne in preparation to use another claw attack.

  However, before he could do anything there was another change.

  “Aqua Binding Ring!” The resonant voice of Demetria said as the entire region became an aquatic blue, streams of water formed out of nothingness which then sent strands upon strands of water currents to form glowing cyan-colored rings around Andronamus body.

  As these streams of water wrapped around him, his body soon felt as if it became heavy as if he was now carrying the weight of the world. He looked at a different location of the sky to see the distant figure of Demetria who currently overflowed with magical energies.

  “Fairies, each of your kind’s magic are troublesome, but that is only against ordinary fiends...�
�� After saying this, the body of Andronamus began to emit another wave of nefarious energies, expanding outwards covering a majority of the region as it destroyed the Aqua Binding rings.

  Puff! Demetria having lost her magic attack coughed out a mouthful of blood due to the backlash, as Andronamus saw this he changed the direction of his finger from Zyne to Demetria as she spoke with a sneer on his face, “While you are the weakest... you are still the most troublesome due to your magic. Now die, Dreamer's Arrow!”

  As he said this, an illusory arrow shot towards Demetria at a speed even faster than his previous claw attack, but the moment it was about to strike through her forehead, a group of red vines wrapped around Demetria pulling her towards a distant location.

  Swoosh! The illusory arrow shot towards the distance having missed its target creating a massive explosion in the far distance.

  Swish! Swish! Swish! Swish!

  Suddenly, three figures appeared in a circular formation around the body of Andronamus. The noble and indifferent Jing Mingyun, gentle and calm Demetria who had slightly pale countenance as well as the silent Gia Brambles.

  “You are right that individually, as we stand now we are not your match, but, when we work together even you would find it hard to do anything to us...” Zyne said as his hands that were previously shaking while holding the hammers had become still, his mouth rising into a sneer as she spoke once more, “Bright! Domain!”

  “Eternity Fate Lock!"

  “Aquatic Seal!”

  “Gia’s Fury!”

  Instantly, a series of powerful attacks were launched towards Andronamus who stood at their epicenter. His eyes gleaming in sharply as he spoke, “It seems I will have to take you a lot more seriously than I’d initially thought, fine then. I too shall also go all out...”

  Bang! The world shook as a more outstanding energy emitted from his body, clashing with the techniques of the Jing Mingyun and the others.
