“Uwwaaaa!” The army of fiends yelled in unison as they heard the words from their respected Zone Commanders, their morale rising to its peak as the atmosphere for battle had risen.

As this happened, the descending Feng Clan mansion seemed to have become influenced by an unusual force as it abruptly came to halt a few kilometers above the fiend armies of the northern walls.

Inside of the mansion, within the central command room was a congregation of the all of the Feng Clan’s leading members. Feng Yunlong, Feng Junling, and Feng Xingyu along with Dai Lin, Miren Fei, and other core members were positioned around the central table looking at a projection of the scene with the well-prepared fiends below the mansion.

As she saw this scene, Miren Fei couldn’t help but grow nervous as she didn’t think it would be so overwhelming, beads of sweat trickling down her forehead as she started trembling.

“Are they really going to face this?” She muttered in a soft voice, Dai Lin who was by her side smiled at her words and replied, “Miss Miren, your worry is for naught, this is the family of our Young Master after all…”

As Miren Fei heard this she couldn’t help but recall Feng Yu’s previous feats as well as they Feng Clan’s overwhelming display of force during the battle against the Soul Eater Ghostfiends. She gripped her fists tightly and looked around at the faces of the members in the room only to discover that despite carrying a serious expression, each of the members had a confident smile on their faces.

As if wanting to relieve her worries Feng Yunlong spoke, “Their defenses are as expected… as such, we shall go with the steps as planned previously, all clansmen prepare for battle!”

“Yes, Clan Leader!” The elders and core members replied at the top of their voices, as soon as they did this a strange scene occurred.

Buzz! Following a loud noise, the scene outside of the floating mansion began to change as the barrier covering the surface vanished revealing the members who were shrouded by its covering.

  Swoosh! Swoosh! Swoosh!

Instantly, a series of blurs swept towards the outside of the room standing at the edge of the mansion before the army of crimson-masked and hawk-masked individuals. Their auras rising to the peak causing their robes to flutter back and forth wildly as they gazed towards their enemies below them with fiery eyes.

Inside of the central room were the forms of Feng Yunlong, Feng Junling, Feng Xingyu, Dai Lin and Miren Fei, Feng Yunlong nodded as he saw the elders prompt response, he then looked towards Dai Lin and spoke.

“Don’t worry about Yu’er as he should be able to handle himself… this war will be tricky but if all goes well, we may be able to gain the advantage. I want you both to meet up with the batch from those influences as we commence phase two of the plan once the time has arrived.”

Dai Lin and Miren Fei hearing his cupped their hands together and replied, “As the Clan Leader wishes!”

Feng Yunlong seeing this smiled before waving his hand and sending them off, “Go now!”

Whoosh! A formless energy wrapped over their bodies quickly sending them away towards the distance away from the battlefield, Feng Junling upon seeing this finally walked forward with light steps as he spoke to both Feng Yunlong and the somewhat distracted Feng Xingyu. “Yunlong, Xingyu, let us begin!”

Feng Yunlong hearing this nodded as he clutched his fists while Feng Xingyu merely nodded her head and muttered, “Um.” She lifted her head as eyes glowed in a strange light as she peered at the beings below the mansion, a strange mood now emitting from entirety…

  Chapter 150

The Boundless Sky Zone, An Unusual Entity?

It is a place filled with an endless sight of clouds that stretched beyond the horizon, a sight filled with endlessly tall trees whose trunks and branches reached out to limits of vast skies as a cool wind blew across the space, giving one a sense of freedom as if they could soar through these boundless heavens.

“Caww!!!” A loud majestic cry sounded across the void rumbling the clouds while stirring the branches of the humongous tall ancient trees as if it couldn’t wait to let its presence be known as the source of the cry finally made its move.

Swoooosh! Suddenly, a large patch of pure white clouds scattered apart for many thousands of meters as it revealed the grand creature that soared above these skies. Its metallic black feathers falling along its path creating a wondrous scene as it gracefully flapped its massive wings propelling itself towards the limits of the skies.

A creature with a sharp beak and profound looking eyes which scanned both the clouds and the world below it with indifference as if all things beneath the sky where well below its league, this creature is known as…

“The Primal Emperor Crow…” A soothing voice said followed by the form of a gorgeous white-haired female whose beautiful silver eyes that shone like stars, seeming to hold a deep layer of mystery as if could ponder the truths of the universe.

“To think it would still be here even after so many years…” Jing Mingyun said as she looked at the now distant bird.

“Such a majestic creature, I have never seen a bird of this size just by looking at its stature I can already imagine the dreadful amount of power hidden within it.” Feng Yu muttered as he walked towards Jing Mingyun’s side, after saying this he then looked at the wondrous scene before him with awe.

As his words trailed away with the wind, a set of heavy steps along with the flapping of small wings could be heard as a few individuals appeared by their sides. They were Queen Demetria, Zyne, and Lyon along with Myria, behind them were the sounds of many footsteps as a multitude of well-armed individuals belonging to different races slowly began to appear from the massive portal that formed on the surface of the trunk of this ancient tree.

They marched on the branches of this tree as if it was no different from common land as its sheer size was no inferior to any landmass, after a good while the marching stopped as all the elites of the allied army had finally arrived in full, they then started to organize themselves for their battles to come.

Queen Demetria smiled as she saw this scene, she then looked at both Feng Yu and Jing Mingyun as she spoke, “Chosen Yu, Heiress Jing, we should now be at the base of these World Trees, our target for this zone is the central command nest of the Dark Birdmen. It is located at the largest nest within this region and as they are a type of Avan Fiend race, their combat abilities are highly advantageous especially in these types of airborne region.”

As she spoke, she pointed her slender finger towards a massive tree trunk within the distant sky, its entirety shrouded by many layers of clouds as it continually stretched towards the heavens. Feng Yu hearing her words and seeing this sight couldn’t help but exclaim, “Such a large tree!”

He admiringly gazed at it for a bit before he reigned in on his emotions and asked Demetria, “So these powerful Dark Birdmen build their nests at the summits of these trees then, what makes these trees so special for them to build their nests on them? Shouldn’t there be a base area below these endless sights of clouds?”

Demetria hearing this shook her head, she was about to reply but someone else decided to speak for her, “Chosen Yu is incorrect, for you see the region beneath this sea of clouds is nothing more than another type of sea, a strange sea in which nothing exists as it has no true form nor base, this region is called, the Sea of Nothingness….”

As his voice faded, his figure slowly appeared from the group of Ancient Hawkmen, a figure with the head of a hawk and the body of a humanoid being, clad in armors made of a feather as a broad wind was currently folded behind his back.

A few individuals upon seeing this figure didn’t say anything, but from the looks in their eyes one could tell that they didn’t look at him in any sort of good light, especially so for the leader of the Tree People, Treantous muttered, “Felman…”

Feng Yu hearing the name of the sea below clouds grew curious as he pondered to himself, “The Sea of Nothingness, such an interesting name…

Yet, while he revealed an expression of interest, the faces of Jing Mingyun, Zyne, Demetria, Myria, and the others remained calm and indifferent as if it was old knowledge.

Felman seeing Feng Yu’s curious expression once more continued, he pointed his hand towards the tall trees scattered about the endless sea of clouds as and spoke, “These trees are a rather unique breed, they are born from the Principles of Nothingness which are birthed from the sea beneath these clouds, carrying a unique kind of energy which allowed for the tree's inhabitants to cultivate and grow stronger, even more so for those of birdkind. These trees are called, Titan World Trees… at the crown of these trees is a myriad of nodes which contain a saturated amount of these tree’s energies, my kind had originally utilized this energy to control a few artifacts as well as constructs that were engineered for the betterhood of our race.”

“So that’s how it is…” Feng Yu muttered while staring at the trees with a deep look in his eyes, Jing Mingyun who was by his side finally teasing him with a smile on her face, “You seemed to be enjoying the scenery, have you already forgotten our purpose here?”

“I wish, where do we go to find these hawks?” Feng Yu asked with a sharp look in his eyes, Zyne who was playing with his hammer finally speaking as he heard their words, “This is something that only someone who knows his way around these clouds can assist in…”

“It is as Zyne said, Felman! Lead the way!” Queen Demetria said as she looked towards the Ancient Hawktribe Leader and gestured towards the army who was now in complete formation behind them.

“As the Fairy Queen wishes!” Felman replied courteously with an odd smile on his face, he then flapped his wings and moved towards the lower section of the massive branches, the members of his tribe quickly following in suite.

Demetria, Zyne, Leon, Myria, along with Feng Yu and Jing Mingyun upon noticing something said nothing as they glanced towards Treantous who shook his head silently; quickly they then started to make their way down Titan word trees, heir figures soon after vanishing beneath the sea of clouds along with the massive army of natives…

  ∞ ∞ ∞

The world beneath the sea of clouds was a peculiar one indeed as a scenery of dense amounts of clouds could be seen, between these clouds were many branches that stretched beyond what one's eyes could see.

If one looked further downwards, they would notice an even more unusual scene of an area filled with nothingness. A strange kind of darkness filled this region as it flowed back and forth like the waves seen at deep sea. The trunks of these Titan World trees could now be seen growing from this dark sea with their depths remaining an unknown mystery

As Feng Yu and the allied native army marched down the spiraling branches while trailing behind the Ancient Hawkmen, they would occasionally take in their surroundings with a layer of caution as no one knew if the enemy was patrolling this region.

Feng Yu feeling a bit puzzled by this asked Zyne, “If the enemies could easily patrol these areas why would the remnants of the hawkmen build their hidden nest here?”

Zyne hearing this continued to play with his hammer while responding, “It’s simple, just like the classic saying of olden times - he who seeks safety finds danger as he who seeks danger finds safety…”

Feng Yu hearing this furrowed his brows for a bit as he murmured, “Safety to danger, danger to safety…”

Zyne seeing Feng Yu’s expression laughed as he replied, “Haha! Don’t overthink it for it simply means that only by going to a place filled with immense danger one would inadvertently find safety from their enemies.”

Feng Yu hearing this frowned as he spoke, “Doesn’t this mean that this area is too threatening to survive then?”

As hearing his words, the scene grew quiet as a stifling tension began to rise within the air, a chilly wind blowing across the necks of each of the natives as well as Feng Yu who started to sweat slightly.

Felman who had been moving with his group ahead of everybody finally turned his head and looked at Feng Yu before replying, “Chosen Yu is correct, the dangers here originate from the Sea of Nothingness. This sea is capable of breeding new life, some becoming powerful entities while others being as docile and calm as any average lifeform, we call these creatures…”

“It a Void Spawn!!” One of the hawkmen yelled as his eyes were fixated towards a section of the tall branches.

Suddenly, a strange scene occurred, a mass of strange energy from the Sea of Nothingness collected, creating together a ferocious looking silhouette, with bright silver eyes, sharp looking claws, and tall and slender looking physique.

Feng Yu seeing this creature became shocked once again as he couldn’t feel anything from it, not even its presence as if this creature, a little distance away from them, didn’t even exist.

The usually calm and collected Jing Mingyun along with Zyne, Myria, Demetria, and others becoming serious as they knew how dangerous these creatures could be after fully forming. The Void Spawn swept its gaze across the army of natives beneath it with a cold look in its eyes. It clenched its fists together causing the atmosphere to change as the winds and space itself began to grow chaotic.

Buzzz! A terrifying pressure spread out giving all beings a feeling of immense danger, however, right before this Void Spawn could attack it suddenly halted its assault as it lowered its head and gazed towards Sea of Nothingness.

As Feng Yu and the others saw this, they couldn't help but show looks of confusion as they wondered what it was it did.

Not long after, it swiped its eyes across the members of the allied army fixing its gaze upon Jing Mingyun before finally stopping on Feng Yu. An ominous looking red line soon after forming on its face looking like a mouth curved into a dark smile as a voice that only Feng Yu could hear resonated within his mind.

“When the dark descends your destiny will end, tell me human, once that time comes on what shall you use to depend? Hahahahaha!”

Its voice fading into the void as it vanished away from existence leaving only the strange laughter that lingered in the area for a short moment.

Jing Mingyun looked at this scene in surprise as she muttered, “How strange? Why would a Void Spawn leave on its own accord, weren’t they creatures with no intelligence? While its strength was roughly the same as ours, it was more than strong enough to hold its own against our combined might for some time…”

Queen Demetria and Zyne also had a similar expression on their faces as they revealed looks of pondering, Myria and Leon spoke under their breaths, “It’s been ages since I’ve entered here, and these creatures are as odd as I can remember…”

As the others revealed a questioning look seeing this, Felman along with the members of the Ancient Hawkman Tribe each carried a strange expression as their eyes glowed on a dim light. Still, this scene only lasted for a short moment before they returned to their usual selves.

Feng Yu who had been the target of this creature remained silent, as an in-depth look flickered in his eyes as he pondered the Void Spawns words, “I don’t know what your intention is for telling me such a thing, but what I do know is that destiny will always be what I make it...”

A firmer light was now in his eyes as his body gave off an even more determined aura, Jing Mingyun who was nearby looked at Feng Yu curiously as she asked, “Are you ok?”

“Um. I’m fine… we should continue before another scene like this occurs.” Feng Yu replied.

Felman and the others who heard his words nodded their heads and spoke, “That’s right! It isn’t safe to stay here. We don’t know what could happen next especially after this unusual occurrence! The old hideaway nest of my kind should be a quite bit farther. We should arrive there after a bit of time...”

“That’s right! We don’t have time to sit here, our enemies could have already found out about our motions!” Queen Demetria said in a deep tone, as Felman heard this he responded, “Let us proceed!”

After finishing his words, Felman motion
ed his hand towards his group of Hawkmen which then continued their march down the spiraling branching.

If one looked closely, they would notice something bizarre, as a dark and cruel smile was now placed upon Felman’s beak along with his eyes that gleamed in a cunning light. Still, all of these promptly faded away as their figures vanished beneath even more layers of clouds…

  Chapter 151

The Chaotic Cloud Sea, An Unexpected Betrayal!

At the peak of the largest Titan World Tree was a nest made purely of crystal-like twigs with a surface area that was engraved with strange glowing runes, a collection of egg-like chairs was arranged around a few pillars which had screens displaying the surrounding regions of the Boundless Sky Zone.

Currently, a group of fierce-looking Dark Birdmen who wore dark feather armor stood at guard within this area as those who wore more special kind of feather armor sat around on the chairs and inspected the information being shown on the various pillars display screens. Seated at the direct center of these individuals was Dark Birdmen who wore exquisite purple-gold feathers, his head held high with a long golden beak facing the sky and his eyes were closed as if he was imitating the personality of the Zone Commander Falcoy.

As the powerful looking birdmen elders seated around him and observed the projected scene shown before them, they each carried a calm look on their faces. If one were to look closely, they would find that the scene shown was precisely that of the native army which soon after descended into the sea of clouds.

As Feng Yu and the others completely vanished below the cloud sea, the eyes of the purple feathered birdman opened slowly as it revealed a set of cunning looking eyes to the world, he gazed at the scene displayed before the elders and spoke to the elders with a deep tone of voice.
