This book is dedicated to Megan, my partner-in-crime in so many of my adventures: a five-day race across Iceland carrying backpacks and MREs (wait…why does that sound familiar??), hiking to Mt. Everest Base Camp, not to mention the multiple 200-mile relay races we’ve done all over the world…
Like I said in the dedication, it takes a special kind of stupid to do the things we do. I’m glad I’ve got a bestie who’s as dumb as me.
The adventure part of the book was easy to write, but the parts dealing with multiple sclerosis were much more difficult. A special thanks to Susan Frank who was willing to share some of her MS journey with me and offer readings and suggestions.
Susan, you’re an inspiration to me. I so enjoy watching your adventures with Harry and the love you two have for each other. You two are what I envision the future Boy & Girl Riley looking like. A life that includes MS, but includes so much more: love, adventure, fulfillment. ALL THE THINGS. They just come with a set of wheels.
