“Bren,” she gasped, not entirely sure if she was comfortable with this.

“Shh.” He shoved the tip of his cock into her. “I’ve got you.”

Wow, she was turning out to be one twisted individual. Brennan had mentioned before that nothing could be taboo with them, but she had assumed that they would still have limits… So, why was the threat of him choking the life out of her so enticing?

“Jesus, you’re tight.” His eyes made contact with hers. “Cin, relax. You know I’ll never hurt you.”

She breathed deeply through her nose. “Okay, do it.”

He had to work his way inside. Not only was she stressed, but her flesh was swollen from his earlier punishment. Every time he retreated, he managed to go a bit deeper, his piercing nudging her inner walls.

“Yes,” she hissed once he hit home, tilting her hips up and hoping for more friction. She temporarily forgot about his hands on her neck. “Move!”

Brennan pivoted into her, placing most of his weight in his hips to add to his motion, his pubic bone grazing her clit. His fingers tightened fractionally, causing Cinnia to jolt against him. “Jesus,” he grunted.

“I love that,” she realized out loud, digging her heels into his ass and reaching up to clutch his hair. “Brennan, harder!”

He gave her exactly what she wanted, pounding into her, over and over again. All the while, his grip on her air supply became firmer. He didn’t make her fear for her life, not for a moment. He had total control in this position, literally held her trust in his hands, and he didn’t let her down.

Her orgasm came out of nowhere, rattling her with its intensity. She gasped for breath and exclaimed his name, quivering around his dick. Her back bowed as she shuddered. “Oh my God,” she breathed.

His hands went down to cup her breasts, tweaking her nipples. “You’re so beautiful when you cum like that.”

She didn’t know if she was blushing: she was so red already. “Your turn.”

“Oh yes,” he agreed, rocking her tenderly to his own completion. He buried his face in her neck and shoved inside one more time, hitting her cervix as he exploded. “Christ, Cin. You drive me mad.”

Giggling, she embraced him and kissed his shoulder. “And you, apparently, get to do anything you want with me.”

  “I’m a lucky guy.”

She softly scraped her nails down his back. “I’m sorry about my stupid bet.”

“I’m just glad I didn’t give in first.” His chuckle vibrated her body everywhere their skin touched. “I hate losing. I was so happy when you said you wanted to fuck me tonight.”

“Welcome back to the candy store,” she joked.

“I’ll eat every single piece,” he vowed. He lifted his head and gazed at her. “I know what you did for Piper. I’m so proud to have you, Cin.”

This time, she was sure she was blushing. “I’m glad you approve.”

“I can’t wait to get married.”

“What, so you can scale back on your sexual appetite?”

He rolled his eyes and sat back on his hunches, slipping out of her in the process. “Fat chance, lass. We’ll be seventy and fucking like wild horses.”

She barked a laugh. “Lovely mental image, thanks.”

“Come on,” he said, taking her hand in his. “Let’s go take a bath. I want to be down your throat within the hour.” He scooped her up and she giggled as he carried her upstairs.

“Brennan, I love you,” she murmured, nuzzling his neck.

He grinned at her. “That’s a relief. Now I just have to make an honest woman out of you.”

The more he said it, the more she wanted that. Maybe we shouldn’t wait a year, she thought madly. Maybe we should just elope…

  Interlude—1—Piper

  “Just go fuck Brennan already!”

Piper bit her bottom lip to stop her giggle, turning back to her new closet. Teagan has been on edge ever since he’d collected her from Dawn’s baby shower, though she had no clue why. The only thing she knew for certain was that, if she looked at him for too long, he would know how infatuated she was with him.

He probably thinks you’re a little girl. She sighed and added another folded T-shirt to the pile in the closet that used to belong to Cinnia. She hadn’t grown up with much, not like Cinnia, so her clothes were less glamorous than the designer labels her friend owned. He’ll never take you seriously.

“Everything okay?” his voice rumbled behind her.

“Yeah,” she replied quickly. “You don’t have to stay, Teagan. I can take it from here, so if you want to go back to your party—”

“Better get used to me, Piper. I’m not taking my eyes off you for even one second.”

Goose bumps covered her skin and she cleared her throat before she began fantasizing about him. Again. She might be young, but she had an overly active imagination, especially where Teagan Sloane was concerned. “That seems like an awful lot of trouble to go through for me. You must have something better to do with your time.”

  “You’d be surprised.”

She finished with her T-shirts and shut the closet door, glancing at him before she moved on to her jeans. “Well, I could always go with you. I just feel bad for keeping you here.”

“Piper, I agreed to this to keep you safe.” He handed her a hanger. “You’re my responsibility now, but I don’t mind.”

He’s doing his duty as a Raptor, she reminded herself, squashing the little voice that wanted to rejoice at what he’s just said. It’s got nothing to do with feelings. “You must’ve pulled the shortest stick,” she joked.

“Would you believe me if I said I volunteered?”

She blinked at him, momentarily sidetracked. The muscles in his arms flexed as he went to work hanging up another pair of her tattered jeans. He was wearing a baggy wife beater, revealing quite a bit of his ripped physique, and she caught glimpses of the Raptors tattoo on his left shoulder. She had this urge to rip his shirt off to get a better look at the lines of ink, as well as the rest of him…

Focus, dammit! “No, I wouldn’t. Cinnia made you do it.” She smiled fondly. “She can be very persuasive, so I don’t blame you.”

“Piper, no one makes me do anything I don’t want to do.” His green eyes—identical to the ones Cinnia had—pinned her to the spot. “Why didn’t you tell me about your father?”

She dropped her gaze to the denim in her grasp and exhaled slowly. “It doesn’t matter.”

“Someone dares to lay their hands on you, you tell me about it,” he said in a tone that brooked no argument. “You deserve so much better than that.”

“Well, now that you’re here, that part of my life is over.” She briefly made eye-contact. “Thank you, by the way. I feel much safer already.”

The corners of his lush mouth tilted up. “You’re welcome.”

They stared at each other for a moment, making Piper acutely aware of his masculinity. She’s had a crush on him for months, but ever since Cinnia got back from the city, Piper has been in Teagan’s proximity more frequently. She wasn’t sure whether this was a good or bad thing yet.

Coughing to break the silence, Piper fished the last pair of jeans out of the black bag she’d stuffed it in a few hours before. “So, how come I never see you with girls?”

“I have my eye on someone.”

Lucky bitch. Piper picked a box up and the bottom caved in, effectively dumping every set of underwear she owned on the floor. “You’ve got to be fucking kidding me!” she exclaimed, feeling her cheeks go red.

Teagan couldn’t seem to look away from the battlefield, the oddest expression on his face.

“I’m so sorry,” she mumbled, shoving the box to the side and dropping to her knees to collect her lingerie. She was just going to stuff them in a drawer and forget this ever happened. At the very least, she’ll attempt the latter.

He bent and hooked his finger around the band of a particularly skimpy, translucent G-string. “You wear this?” he ask
ed.

Her blush intensified exponentially. “Uhm, yeah. I like splurging on underwear.” She got most of it in the drawer. Bracing herself, she grabbed for the piece he was holding but, like the clumsy girl she was, she tripped over her own feet in her rush to get this embarrassing situation over and done with. If it weren’t for his arms, she would’ve face-planted on the carpet.

  “Steady,” he murmured.

Face smooshed to his chest, she stayed there for a while, breathing his leathery, spicy scent in. She’s never been this close to him, so she was going to savor every second. Who knew when she’d get the chance again?

  “Piper, you okay?”

  “Hmm,” she responded.

Slowly, he held her at arm’s length, dangling the offending G-string in front of her. His jaw was clenched. “Has anyone seen you in this?”

  “That one in particular?”

He shut his eyes. “So help me… Has another man seen you in your underwear?”

“Are you…” She trailed off, confused. “Are you asking me if I’m a virgin?”

  “Yes.”

“None of your beeswax,” she muttered, snagging the G-string out of his hand now that he was distracted. She dropped it in the drawer and closed it firmly. Breathing deeply to compose herself, she crossed her arms over her chest protectively. “So, do you want to go out?”

“Piper, you better start being honest with me.” He stuffed his hands in the front pockets of his jeans, drawing her attention to his crotch. Was she imagining the bulge behind his zip? “Are you a virgin?”

She couldn’t look away from his groin, no matter how much she mentally reprimanded herself. How long has she dreamt of sucking him off? Of taking him in her hands and leading him to her core? Of locking her ankles behind his back as he—

  “Piper.”

“What’s it to you?” she asked bitingly, snapping back to the present and away from her dirty, disgusting thoughts.

  “More than you know.”

  “Teagan—”

  “Answer my question.”

“Yes, okay?” She threw her hands in the air, at her wit’s end. “Yes, I’m a virgin. Happy?”

There was something in his eyes that she couldn’t identify. Logic informed her that he was relieved, but that made no sense. Besides, she’s always had a warped way of rationalizing things. She wouldn’t be surprised if she had this one wrong.

“More than you know,” he repeated. He cleared his throat and ran a hand through his black hair. “You want to go for a few drinks?”

“I don’t drink.” The helpless look on his face made her chew on a smile, wondering why he was so nervous. He was the hottest, most confident man she’s ever seen, but he was edgy around her? It made no sense. “But we could go dancing.”

“Okay. Be ready in half an hour?”

She nodded. “Can I invite some friends along?”

“Sure, but let them meet us at Club Vex.” He waggled his eyebrows. “We’re going on the Harley.”

He left the room and shut the door behind her, while she tried to figure out what the hell was going on. Had he had a boner for her? Impossible! It was because of her underwear, surely. And now he was willing to take her to a club?

“Shit,” she muttered, realizing she only had thirty minutes to look as mind-blowing as possible. Teagan might not see her as anything more than a girl he had to protect against an abusive father, but that didn’t mean that she couldn’t hook up with someone else. Not that anyone compared, but… That didn’t matter.

She quickly sent a text to Elise and Tonya. Both of them replied with an exuberant confirmation, so at least she’ll have the girls to distract her from Teagan’s yumminess. Piper was a virgin, yes, but she was no prude. She wouldn’t mind riding him like a cowgirl.

  “Stop it,” she sighed.

Piper opened her closet and decided on a knee-length yellow dress with a high neckline and a large cut-out on the back. At least she had the olive complexion that worked perfectly with this color. She grabbed a set of nude, silk underwear and stripped to put her new outfit on. She stepped into her favorite pair of platform heels that would make her as tall as Teagan.

A thrill went through her as she imagined him kissing her like his life depended on it, pushing her against a wall, hiking her dress up and—

“Stop it,” she hissed at herself, going to the vanity table to apply a quick layer of makeup. She chose a shade of coral for her lips and swiped eye-liner on her top lid only, before thickening her lashes with mascara. She loved her naturally curly hair, so she simply braided it over one shoulder, letting loose tendrils fall around her face.

For someone who lived on a tight budget, she took great pride in looking like a million bucks.

She stuffed her phone and a couple of banknotes into a small gold clutch she’d received for her eighteenth birthday, just as there was a knock on the door. “Come on in,” she called, choosing a cardigan in case it got cold.

“Oh wow, you look so beautiful, Piper.”

Smiling, she went over to Teagan’s mother. “Mrs. Sloane, thank you so much for letting me stay here,” she said, hugging Loraine.

“You’re welcome, honey.” Loraine patted her back. “I’m just happy you’re safe. You should never be afraid to ask any of us for help, okay?”

  “Cin made that pretty clear.”

“My daughter has her brilliant moments,” Loraine teased. She leaned over to whisper in Piper’s ear. “And my son couldn’t be happier that you’re here.”

Piper frowned at Loraine. “What do you mean?”

“You’re not going to make me do all the work for the two of you, are you?” Loraine winked. “That’ll take the fun out of it.”

“Okay,” Piper said shakily. “How was date night?”

“Let’s just say that Jim and I are glad you guys are going out tonight, and leave it at that.”

Piper shifted on her feet. “I’ll have to invest in some earplugs, it seems.”

Loraine sniggered. “I’m sure Cin left a pair behind. She kept it in her night stand.”

  “Thanks.”

“Have a good time tonight, honey. Oh, and don’t be afraid to make Teagan a little jealous.”

Piper gaped as her gaze followed Loraine down the hallway. Then, deciding that the woman was clearly delusional, Piper headed to the front of the house. Teagan was waiting at the door, his eyes going all funny when she stopped in front of him.

Frankly, sometimes she hated how attractive he was. His hair was short at the back but longer on the top of his head, his bangs falling into his green eyes. He was wearing a formal shirt under his leather cut, his skinny jeans perfectly accentuating his long, toned legs. His biker boots rounded the picture off, and Piper could already see that he was going to have a mass of females descending on him tonight.

  Fucking whores, she thought.

“You look good,” he commented, “although that dress might make it difficult on the back of the bike.”

“I didn’t think of that.” She glanced down at her outfit and sighed. “I guess I can go change—”

“You don’t have to. Come on, let’s go.”

She walked out first, frowning at him once she heard him gasp. “Something wrong?”

“I didn’t realize your dress was so revealing.”

“I tried to look sexy, but classy.”

He coughed. “It’s working.” He presented her with his spare helmet. “I’m glad you didn’t do anything with your hair, or this would’ve ruined it.”

“What can I say,” she teased, “I think I’m getting the hang of this biker lifestyle.”

Teagan mounted his Harley. “Do you like it?”

“Are you kidding me? I love it. I wish I was born into it, like you and Cin.” She began folding the hem of her dress.

  “Uh, what’re you doing?”

“I don’t want to crease it too badly.” She stopped just before she exposed her underwear. “There, that’s better.

  “Jesus, Piper.”

She sent him a quizzical glance. “What?”

“You should, ah…” He put his night glasses on. “Wear your cardigan. It might get cold.”

Somehow, she was convinced that was not what he really wanted to say. Shrugging, she did as she was told, donning her helmet as well. “Hey, will you teach me how to ride?” she asked, holding his waist as she swung her one leg over the motorcycle.

  “Sure.”

His voice sounded strained, so she eased up on her grip. “Sorry, didn’t know I was choking you.”

  “You weren’t.”

She was attempting to ignore the tingles exploding all over her skin at how close he was to her. When he ignited the engine, it added to the sensations tormenting her over-sensitized body. What she wouldn’t do to have him in her bed by the end of the night…

Teagan handled his machine beautifully as they headed to Club Vex, the only decent nightclub in town. The others were riddled with violence and drug busts, but Vex—one of the Raptors’ members was the owner—was the safest bet. The bikers didn’t allow dodgy shit to go down around the patrons that frequented the place.

He parked next to a few other Harleys, all bearing the Raptors’ crest, and turned to speak to her. “Don’t get off yet. I’ll block the view while you straighten your dress.”

How thoughtful, she smiled, waiting for him to stand in front of her. She’d assumed that he would look the other way, but he was facing her. Choosing not to see anything odd about that, she dismounted and pulled her dress down.

  “Does it look okay?”

  “You look perfect,” he answered.

  “Piper!”

She was grinning even before she spotted Elise. “Hey!” she yelled, sauntering over to her friends, who were waiting at the front of the queue. She hugged them both. “You guys look amazing!”

They’d gone for the sluttier approach, and Piper felt overdressed in comparison. If it hadn’t been for Teagan’s strange behavior, she might have had the guts to opt for a shorter dress, but it was too late for regrets when they were already here.
