  “Louise, you know they want you in the interviewing room when they finally bring Matt’s guys in. I don’t know the reason but that’s all they told me. I never expected you to want a good outcome for these assholes.” Her response really made me angry, they all should pay for what Matt and the others did to her. She shouldn’t want this, no one should.

  “That’s not your decision to make, I want them to have better lives and I will do everything in my power to make that happen. If that’s finding this agency without you, then so be it.” She gets up off the couch and starts to walk away from me. This won’t do.

  “Louise, sit your ass back down on this couch!” I hate raising my voice at her but we aren’t done.

  She doesn’t look at me when she turns around and takes the seat.

  “Now, I still have a few things to talk to you about. There should be another question you want to ask me that I do have the answer to.” I wait for her to connect the dots.

  “Yes, you’re right Alex. I do have two more questions that you might have the answers to.” She finally looks at me and she is pissed.

  “First, tell me why those men are following me and why I had to find out from my therapist. Secondly, have you uncovered who the mole is yet? I do have a feeling it’s one of Matt’s men but I can’t put my finger on who it could be.” Yep, I knew those questions were coming. I knew I had to tell her before now but I couldn’t.

  “We haven’t had a chance to look into who the mole could be, we have been busy with Matt’s member's location. Those men are following you because you are in danger. They are there to protect you from your stalker and today I finally uncovered who it is. She used to work for my father as a receptionist and we went out a few times. I cut her off because I didn’t want to fuck her again. Instead I hit the gym hard with Reece and passed out that night dreaming of you.” It seems so long ago now but I won’t forget about that day. My father warned me about her and I’m so fucking glad I listened.

  “Oh, but why is she stalking me and how is she connected to Matt?” I’m worried about telling her the next part.

  “He found her, and reports have been saying that they are lovers. He has brainwashed her and she wants to get back at me by stalking you. She hasn’t made a violent move against you yet but that’s why you have men following you so that doesn’t happen. So nothing can happen to you.” Watching her face drop has knocked the wind out of me. I hope she isn’t jealous about Matt finding a new plaything.

  “Are you okay?” I hope it’s just the news about her stalker.

  “Yeah I am, I feel bad for this girl. Matt is a horrible person and now she is ruined.” Thank fucking God.

  “Yeah her name is Holly. She was sweet but kinky and I guess that’s why he is keeping her around.” She makes a face of disgust, that’s my girl.

  “Now that’s everything I had to keep from you, I really do hope you forgive me because I can’t bare the thought of losing you.” I plead with her with my eyes, hoping she forgives me.

  She moves closer to me and places her hand on my face.

  “Yes Alex, I do forgive you.” She leans in and kisses me.

  “Now please tell me about your day, you seemed like you had a busy day with wearing a suit. Which you look handsome in.” She wiggles her eyebrows at me. I think she’s hinting at something, the little minx.

  I wink at her and bring her closer to me. I hate not touching her, whenever I can.

  “Well I visited the agency and learned about the information I just told you. There isn’t anything new there but that’s not out of the ordinary. These people are too weak to make a move but I guess they are cautious because their main Captain died in the field when he tried to save you. I did go see my mom and that’s a long story.”

  I walked through the door to my parent’s house and I haven’t been back there since my father died. It was a strange feeling going there and not seeing my dad walking in the halls. I don’t think I will ever get used to that feeling, it felt cold and empty.

  “Alex! It’s so good to see you, I wasn’t sure I would ever see you again,” My mom came out from the shadows.

  “My boy.” She brought me in for a hug; it lasted longer than it should have.

  “I’m sorry it took me longer than expected to visit but I’ve had a lot on my plate recently.” I knew that was no excuse not to visit her but I just couldn’t.

  “Let's take a seat so you can catch me up to speed with your life.” I let her lead us down the hall and into my father’s office. It felt weird being in that office, knowing my father would never step foot in there. I felt a sudden sadness at that thought but I shook it off. My mother and I had a lot of decisions to make and I wanted to make them with 100% certainty.

  “Now tell me what has been going on? Big Bill called and told me you haven’t been to work in a few months.” I knew she would start with those questions first.

  “I’ve been looking after Louise and I haven’t had a chance to go back to work. I have been going into the agency a lot recently. I want to help them bring down those horrible men that hurt Louise and so many other people. I still haven’t decided if I want to be a paramedic again, just work in the agency or take over dad’s company. That’s why I’m here; I want to look over the terms and conditions to his will and the company’s contracts. I want to look at the bigger picture before I decide on anything.” I could see she was proud of my decision even if it hurt her.

  “You do have a lot going on and I’m glad you’re here now but before you look over the contracts I should warn you…” She didn’t finish her sentence when I turned around and saw Damon standing there.

  “What the fuck is he doing here?” I looked back at my mother, how could she let this asshole into the house. She just shrugged and got up out of her chair. I watched her walk past Damon and she squeezed his shoulder. What the fuck?

  “Damon.” I turned back around and faced the desk.

  “Alex, I know me being here is a shock but I didn’t want to tell you I was in town. I’ve been staying with mom for a few days now.” I couldn’t believe my ears.

  A few fucking days!

  “Why are you even here Damon?” I don’t want to hear anything he has to say but I stayed.

  “I’m here because I left things with my family on the rocks and I want to try and be a part of dad’s company. Just please hear me out with the ideas I’ve come up with.” Damon walked towards the opposite of the desk to where I’m sitting. He took dad’s seat and looked down at a pile of papers on the desk.

  “Here are the contracts and dad’s will, I’ve looked over them and my lawyers have as well. They have found a loophole where I can be part owner of the company as long as it’s with you.” He wasn’t serious; at least I hoped he wasn’t.

  “So you want to be a partner in dad’s company?” I decided to give him the benefit of the doubt.

  “Okay, tell me your plan but I’m warning you, don’t waste my time.” He picked up a piece of paper and began reading it.

  “Thank you, my team of lawyers and I have concluded a proposal you won’t regret. We will both have 50% shares in the company but our roles will be slightly different. While I’m living in England, I will be doing all the international deals for the business and since you are living here you will deal with the in-house business deals. I also wrote that neither one of us will make a decision without the others input. If one can’t reach the other then it gets pushed back until we both have agreed to go ahead with it.” Seemed like a good idea, I was all for it but there were a few things that were concerning me.

  “Okay, that sounds like a great deal but what if we come to a stand still with a decision? If we both have half of the company, who will out rule the other and make the final decision?” I had to know; it wouldn’t be fair on either of us to out rule out the other.

  “Our mother has agreed to be our third person involved, she won’t own any shares but she is willing to be that th
ird person. She will be there every step with us to make sure we don’t screw up. Mom knows this business better than we do but in dad’s will he wanted his son to take over and that’s when I found the loophole.” He had thought of everything, I had to give him credit for it.

  “I’m very impressed but will the company name change since two Knight’s will be owning it?” I had no intention of changing the name. My father built that company with his bare hands and I ‘ll be damned if it changed.

  “No, it stays the same but once you sign this contract, an email will be sent out to every employee that there are two Knights owning the company. It will have both our details on there. It will also have our location on there for clients to contact the right Knight.” He had this all planned out, he’s done well. Our father would be so proud of him.

  “Okay Damon, you have a deal.” I got up from my seat and leaned across the desk to shake his hand. It was a firm but proud handshake.

  “Alright, you just have to sign a few documents and I’ll send them off to our lawyers.” He pulled a pen from his suit jacket and passed it to me. I signed the papers and handed the pen back.

  “Thank you Alex, I promise I won’t let you down.”

  “So that’s what happened to me today, I am now working at my father's… I mean my half company.” I look across to Lou and she has tears in her eyes.

  “I am so proud of you.” Louise moved closer to me and straddled my lap. She is now sitting on my thighs facing me, I can smell her floral perfume and she’s smiling. That smile means everything to me.

  “You are beautiful.” I lean towards her and press my lips against hers. After the day I’ve had there isn’t a thought that isn’t filled with just her.

  Louise

  I WAKE UP SO sore, last night was incredible between Alex and me, I’ve never had sex like that well I mean not the sex position but I’ve never had it with so much emotion and it scared me a little bit.   “Just that I think it’s time to look at houses for us to move into. I’ve had enough of this small room.” I hear Alex chuckle under his breath “That ass.”

  “Alright, how about in the next few hours we go to look at houses and if we both decide on one. We will buy it?” I can’t believe my ears, did he just agree with me on this. I’ve been asking for this for a while now and he decides this in a heartbeat. Something is going on and I plan to find out.

  “Are you sure? I thought you didn’t want to move.” I roll over and see Alex wide-awake. He has one arm under his head and the other resting on his bare chest.

  “Well, I think it’s time and a lot of women know where I live. I just want a place where you are the only woman to be inside the house. Just me and you.” Best morning ever.
