advocated in one of his most famous quotes. This would be the first of the blood spilled that day of the tyrants, along with his VEEP who was fortunately still within the Oval Office with him.
Kelly inhaled slowly and quietly and then released his breath just as slowly as he turned toward the door that led into the most honored office of the free world. His hand pushed the door open as he entered and closed it behind him. Outside that door the other agents would be wondering why he had entered, but they would all suspect nothing out of the ordinary, perhaps believing POTUS had instructed him to enter once everyone other than VEEP had left the meeting. Soon they would all understand why he had entered this room and they would come running in as well. Then he would become the other part of Jefferson's quote as his blood was spilled that day, the blood of the patriot who spilled that of the tyrants.
In one swift motion Kelly reached within his jacket and withdrew the weapon issued to him by the Secret Service itself. He pointed it directly toward the other two occupants of the room before either could react and two shots rang out.
