PARTMENT #413
Richardson and Walker enter and lock the door behind them.
RICHARDSON
Some of my father's clothes are in the back bedroom. You two are about the same height, so you should be able to find something.
(she points to room)
They're hanging in the closet.
WALKER
Is your father here?
RICHARDSON
...No, he lived with me when he got sick...Cancer...He passed a few months ago...I haven't cleaned out his room yet.
WALKER
...Sorry.
After a moment, he walks into the bedroom.
INT. STEALTH HELO ONE
The helicopter, still in stealth mode, is hovering outside Richardson's apartment.
PILOT #1
Sir, this is Helo-one, they're inside her apartment, what are your orders?
TYSON (O.S.)
...Drop the Strike Team at the complex and have them take up position outside her apartment. We'll be there in about five minutes.
PILOT #1
Roger that. Team deployed.
EXT. STEALTH HELO ONE
The helicopter flies up over the roof and hovers twenty feet above it.
The side door opens and the Strike Team rappels down onto the roof and then they quickly make their way to the stairwell.
The side door closes and the helicopter moves back into position outside of Richardson's apartment.
INT. SPARE BEDROOM
Walker has put on a pair of pants, shoes and a t-shirt when he hears the FAINT SOUNDS of footsteps above.
Richardson runs in.
RICHARDSON
I think someone's on the roof!
WALKER
Sounds like it. Probably the backup team.
Walker opens the sliding door and walks out onto the balcony.
EXT. BALCONY/BUILDING
Walker looks up, but SEES nothing. When he looks down at the street, he SEES several marked and unmarked police cars driving up to the building from all directions. They all stop just outside of the apartment complex.
WALKER
Yep, we got company. A lot of company.
He searches for an escape route when he SEES the slight SHIMMER of the Stealth Helicopter.
Richardson walks out onto the balcony beside him and SEES all the police cars.
RICHARDSON
How could they have found us so soon?!
WALKER
We were followed...
RICHARDSON
But there was no one following us, you said so yourself.
WALKER
Do you know much about helicopters?
RICHARDSON
A lot actually. I flew a Typhoon Mark Three for six years in the Army.
WALKER
Did you ever hear talk of stealth technology that makes an aircraft nearly invisible to the naked eye?
RICHARDSON
Just rumors. Why?
She SEES him staring, so she glances in the direction that he is looking.
WALKER
Because I think I'm looking at one right now...See it?
She squints her eyes, and after a moment she SEES the slight SHIMMER of the Stealth Helicopter.
RICHARDSON
...Yeah, I see it.
INT. STEALTH HELO ONE
The Pilot knows she has been spotted. She flips a switch on her comlink and speaks into her microphone.
PILOT #1
Sir, I've been made. Requesting permission to open fire.
EXT. BALCONY
Walker hasn't taken his eyes off the helicopter. He steps in front of Richardson and places his arms on the balcony railing.
WALKER
I'm gonna need your gun. Without them seeing take it out and slide it into my waistband near the middle of my back, then walk into the apartment.
She does what he says.
RICHARDSON
I hope you know what you're doing.
INT. STEALTH HELO ONE
The Pilot locks the weapon system onto Walker.
TYSON (O.S.)
...This is Tyson, permission to open fire granted. We'll be there in three minutes.
PILOT #1
Target locked and proceeding to fire.
EXT. BALCONY
Walker draws the gun from his waistband.
WALKER
(to Richardson)
Susan, run! Run!
He quickly FIRES the entire fifteen round clip at the SHIMMERING helicopter.
INT. STEALTH HELO ONE
The Pilot instinctively ducks when SEVERAL ROUNDS HIT her bulletproof windshield, making her lose her aim.
Walker turns and runs back into the apartment.
WALKER
We're gonna get lit up! Find some cover!
