Twice the Pups: Paranormal SEAL Second Chance Surprise Baby Romance (Shifter Squad Nine Book 4)

Though they didn't want to show it, Amy could see how the Renard twins held their heads a little bit higher after that.
"And not a word to anyone about He Who Shall Not Be Named being here today, alright?" Dice added, before Shifter Squad Nine piled out one after another, leaving Amy alone with Price and Prowler.
"So what next?" Amy asked, after a silence had hung between them for nearly a minute, all of them lost in the plethora of thoughts and questions that seemed to plague each and every one of them.
It wasn't like there was a lack of things that had happened lately to keep them busy and occupied, after all.
"The rest of our lives," Prowler said, the tension lifting from his expression as he smiled at her.
He took her hand and Price took the other one and for the first time of her life, Amy felt completely at ease, even though she should have probably been a bundle of nerves.
Like she'd thought before and like the men had confirmed to her - together they could handle anything.
Epilogue
Prowler
“Are we ready?" Prowler yelled, looking around him and seeing mayhem everywhere.
He felt like he was in the middle of the most intense battle of his life, when in all actuality, it was just preparations for a wedding. His wedding.
Our wedding, he corrected in his head with not a small hint of pride, basking in the warmth of the thought.
"We're gettin' there," Thor said with a furrowed brow, studying the seating plan he was set in charge of.
The sigh of relief when his mate Nia came and snatched it from his hands to help him out was audible to everyone around.
Prowler grinned, shaking his head.
So far, Shifter Squad Nine hadn’t been one for big weddings. In fact, they had barely been present at all for one another’s ceremonies. At best, they’d hear about it a few weeks later and then have an awkward beer together.
Yet, as time had gone by, the dysfunctional and at times highly volatile group of men that made up Shifter Squad Nine had come to… well, actually like one another. No one was more surprised by this than they themselves.
Though I bet Spade knew, that motherfucker, Prowler thought with a grim smirk, vowing that it would be the last time that day that he would think of their former boss.
The wily dark ops agent had completely disappeared from everyone’s radar, including Dice’s. Whereas Prowler would have been the first one to doubt his squad lead’s word a year ago, now when Dice said that he had had no news of Spade, Prowler believed him. Dice wouldn’t lie to him.
Not anymore, anyway.
“How’ it looking?” Price asked, coming up behind Prowler and clapping a hand on his shoulder.
Giving his brother a quick once-over, Prowler had to give an appreciative nod. Both of them apparently cleaned up well, if the occasion called for it, anyway. And their wedding day was certainly an occasion that they wanted to look at least semi-presentable for.
They were both dressed in black tuxes. The wedding wasn’t going to be big, with only twenty or so guests altogether and most of them being Shifter Squad Nine and their spouses or mates, but it was enough to get Prowler all jittery. By the looks of his brother, the nerves weren’t exactly bypassing Price either.
“We’re getting there,” Prowler said, trying to sound as confident as he possibly could.
What could go wrong with a ceremony consisting of less than thirty people anyway?
Still, despite knowing better, Prowler couldn’t help but glance around every now and then, as if expecting the heavens to part and doom and death to rain down on him and everyone else involved in the preparations. That was how it went, right? They couldn’t possibly be happy for more than a few weeks without the heavens falling on them!
“You two need to stop worrying. I can practically hear the both of you quaking in your dress shoes all the way in my dressing room,” the most beautiful voice in the world said from behind them.
Prowler turned around immediately and so did Price. Amy was looking up at both of them, absolutely glowing, dressed in a blood-red gown that strained over her belly. She was only a few days away from her due date and it wasn’t the easiest thing in the world, finding something classy and fitting for a woman that far gone into carrying twins.
As far as Prowler was concerned, she had never looked better. In fact, every time he saw her, she looked a tiny bit better than last time. He was beginning to fear that she might actually be a witch, because that was some sort of magic right there.
“We’re just being conscientious,” Price said, stepping up to her and giving her a quick peck on the lips.
“Can’t be too careful,” Prowler confirmed, mirroring the kiss his brother had given their bride.
Amy beamed a smile at both of them, slipping a hand into both big palms. Prowler squeezed her delicate fingers gently, before releasing her hand and putting his arm around her shoulders.
“It’s shaping up nicely, I think,” he said, as they watched Dice and Ryker in a deep argument over how to set up the twenty-ish chairs that they needed for the ceremony altogether.
You’d think they were planning the invasion of Normandy with how seriously they seemed to be taking it.
“Should we go help?” Amy asked with a laugh, her warmth pleasant and safe next to Prowler.
He wasn’t entirely sure what it was, but he felt like the sun was constantly out, now that Amy was in his and Price’s life. Everything was, in a word, better. Food tasted more flavorful, the days went by faster when they were dull, and slower when they were fun, and he constantly had something to work for, something to fight for. It was a feeling he hadn’t known he’d been missing and yet he couldn’t imagine his life without it now.
“They’re grown men, soldiers, special ops warriors… you’d think they could follow a small seating plan,” Price said with a playful scoff, his pale green eyes glancing at Prowler before returning to their bride.
“Say, how long do we have until the ceremony?” he asked, undoing the top button of his shirt with a casual move.
“About an hour. Why?” Amy queried, frowning ever so slightly, the tiny crease on her forehead inviting Prowler to kiss it just to clear it away.
He loved her equally when she was in a bad mood and when she was in a good mood, whether she was smiling or frowning, and he’d never felt quite so connected to both himself, his brother and the Alpha powers that hid within him. Now that the triad was complete, to be confirmed with the ceremony today, Prowler felt like he could truly take on anything that the world had to throw at him, no questions asked.
“Because we have ideas on how to spend it,” Prowler said with a grin that only widened as both he and Price started moving at the same time, veering Amy away from the preparations for the outdoor ceremony and towards the small mansion that acted as a hub for the wedding.
If one thing had become clear, then it was that he’d always been in tune with his brother, but he just hadn’t been ‘listening’ hard enough. Now, it was like second nature to him, and he could practically read Price’s mind on the go.
One of the many perks of being an Alpha wolf with his life moving at an upward trajectory.
“You can’t be serious,” Amy laughed, but not too surprisingly, she didn’t hesitate for a moment to walk away from the buzz of preparations right along with them.
While Prowler had taken decades to begin to read and understand his own twin, Amy seemed to understand them both without question, as if it were second nature to her.
Prowler had never felt more at home. Wherever Amy and Price were, that was where he would lay his hat – or gun and computer, in Prowler’s case – and he knew it would only get better with the additions they were expecting to welcome into their little family.
A family of my own… one that I promise will never be broken.
It had taken so much to accomplish so little – the happiness of three people. Yet to Prowler, it seemed like the greatest feat, and the bigges
t treasure, in the world.

The Darkest Dragon Excerpt
Considering his impossible size, one would have imagined the large black dragon to be of a lumbering sort, slow and unwieldy. This was the furthest thing from the truth. He was up on his feet immediately, his golden, slitted eyes pointed in the direction of the noise that had irritated him, the eternal dragonfire already swirling in the pit of his stomach.
As he laid his eyes on what had dared interrupt his slumber, ready to destroy any enemy, he found himself dumbfounded.
What in the name of seven ancestors…
For a moment that seemed to last forever, Donovan Silvertip, in his dragon form, and Sabrina Corrolie, in the only form she had – that of a shockingly sexy journalist – stared at one another. In the closest motion possible for a dragon, Donovan’s mouth fell slightly agape. Instead of being quite the comical sight it could have been, it drove Sabrina to a bellowing scream.
It scratched at Donovan’s ears and made something stir in him so violently that it very nearly floored him. Without realizing it, he must have given her a sight of the fire pluming in the back of his throat. With one breath, he could have reduced her to nothing but a smoking crisp, a husk of a person instead of the intoxicating being that stood before him.
Or, well, screamed before him.
