“You found comfort in someone else?” Carmen asked, her voice growing higher pitched with every question. “I knew something was different about you when you hugged me tightly at the airport. So what about the shower?”
“Rock came into my shower,” Kira said. “He just walked in, we talked, he asked if I needed a Master. Just like that. I did. I wanted one so bad. I knew he had the edge but you know that some guys don’t know how to use it. Anyway, I washed him.”
Kira blushed. “Sorry, Master commanded me to wash him and then he washed me. But he didn’t stop touching me. He wouldn’t stop. I knew that I couldn’t stop him. The orgasm was ferocious.”
Carmen was breathing faster and she motioned for Kira to continue.
“Then he held me,” Kira said. “The water was still on and I was sitting, cradled in his lap, completely safe and protected by him. Then I felt that lump in my throat, the tight chest, all the normal reactions and then I saw that he saw me want to cry. When I didn’t cry he looked sad and disappointed. Like I was hiding from him. Everything just let go. I let go and cried.”
“You gave up control,” Carmen whispered as she leaned over and hugged her friend.
“She surrendered,” Rock said softly. “Giving up control is not surrendering.”
“Explain please?” Carmen asked and then added, “Sir.”
“A man gets tired of the channels his girl is watching and isn’t happy,” Rock said. “The girl gives up control of the remote right? But she doesn’t surrender it, never to use it again. She just gives up control. A country invades another and the enemy surrenders. They have said that they will never fight for that again. They have surrendered to the enemy and given up the territory completely.”
“That is pretty profound,” Carmen admitted.
“So I surrendered my crying to you?” Kira asked.
Rock chuckled. “I think it’s more like I overwhelmed your emotions and you decided you had no choice but to trust me not to go too far. It’s still surrendering and not giving up control because you again surrendered that emotion today.”
“Nasty Dom,” Carmen said smiling.
Rock smiled at being called a name by Carmen and then his heart ached when Kira spoke.
“Master,” Kira corrected her teasing friend.
Carmen squeezed Kira’s hand. Kira knew her friend was happy for her. Kira didn’t do the soft Dominant thing, she never intentionally topped from the bottom, and she certainly wouldn’t disrespect the man that wanted to be her Master. Carmen had always liked to play in the clubs. She needed it to get off. But Kira needed more.

Christmas morning Kira was up early due to Rock’s hardened cock hovering above her lips and poking her in the face. Kira had learned quickly that it was one of his favorite ways to wake her up. Her enthusiastic attentions had quickly paid off and Rock had slid his still hard cock between her legs.
“Beg,” Rock whispered. “Tell me what you need.”
“I need your cock inside of me,” Kira said.
“Inside of you?” Rock asked.
“Inside my pussy,” Kira replied without hesitation. She was rewarded with Rock slamming into her wetness and she lifted her hips to meet his thrusts. She thrust her hips to meet him and the sound of skin smacking filled the air.
“Yes, keep doing that,” Rock said. “Ride me from there. Work for it little flower.”
Just at Kira’s legs gave out Rock grabbed them and wrapped them around his waist. She clung to him as he reached down and massaged her clit. When he commanded her to do so she gave into the waves of euphoria and let the bliss combine with the pain of his touch.
Kira screamed his name over and over as he said sweet things to her and thanked her for being so giving of herself and sharing herself with him. Kira welcomed his strong arms around her as he pulled her close and with calloused hands rubbed her back so gently she shivered.
Kira had finally pulled away and Rock had let her. She changed into the clothes that he had chosen and accepted his kiss before she went into the kitchen grinning from ear to ear.
When Carmen woke, she helped Kira in the kitchen, and by the time Rock wandered in to eat breakfast, the whole house smelled of delicious baked goods.
Kira set his breakfast in front of him and smiled as if she had done something wrong.
Rock glanced around at the kitchen that was now in a complete state of disarray. It was obvious from the flour stains on each of the girls’ clothing and the egg shells scattered all over the floor that a food fight had happened earlier. Judging from the state of the clothes and mussed hair, Rock wasn’t sure which of the women had won.
Rock ate his breakfast and left the kitchen. After he left, the girls started scrubbing the cabinets and he could hear them arguing with one another about who should clean what. He wasn’t surprised in the least when he heard Kira yell about cleaning up her friend and then heard water sloshing on the tiled floor. Rock wondered how they had ever gotten their deposit back on any apartment they had rented if they had done this while they were roommates.
When Rock came back into the kitchen for a refill of his coffee he was surprised that, despite both of the girls having waterlogged hair and clothes, the kitchen was spotless.
The girls changed, presents were opened, and Kira was pleased with Rocks reaction when he opened the iPad she had given him.
“I don’t think that landlords are supposed to give tenants gifts,” Rock commented as he started registering the device.
“I didn’t think that landlords were supposed to receive maid outfits with holes in the breasts,” Kira smirked as she held up the sexy maid outfit. She knew what she was wearing to clean the morning after Carmen went back to Florida.
Christmas dinner was prime rib, twice-baked potatoes, asparagus, several salads, meat and cheese trays, and also sweets trays. Rock wasn’t sure how the three of them were going to eat all of it. Rock, Kira and Carmen had finished eating when Miles’ dilapidated vehicle choked to a halt in the driveway. Gunner appeared shortly after Miles. Not to be left out Abe Long Feather also made his appearance.
Abe slapped Rock on the back as he looked at the tree. “She never does anything halfway does she?” Abe asked.
Rock shook his head and smiled. The little elf had done everything perfectly. Rock helped Abe carry the donated tied-blankets out to Abe’s SUV. Each blanket was wrapped in shiny tissue paper then placed in over-the-top decorative bags. Rock handed Abe a list that said which bag should go with which age and which gender. He knew that Kira didn’t want a fifteen-year-old-boy ending up with a pink and purple blanket.
“Her attention to detail is amazing,” Abe said as he followed Rock back to the house.
“There’s more,” Rock said as he shrugged his shoulders. “Kira bought a whole bunch of New Town Eagle sweatshirts and sweatpants in various sizes. She wrapped them and labeled them as well.” Rock pointed to two boxes full of shiny gifts with a plethora of bows.
“Is that the last of it?” Abe asked.
Rock noticed that Abe looked doubtful.
“She also has a thing called a box…” Rock started, forgetting what Kira had called it. Then he realized what he had said and laughed. “Well of course she has a box.”
Abe laughed hard. “Christmas chest,” Abe corrected. “I’m sure she has a chest as well.”
“She does.” Rock was laughing hard. He could hear Kira giggling with him from the other room. “Christmas chest and what you said.” Rock looked at Abe, still laughing and then threw a peace sign at Kira as she poked her head around the corner of the kitchen and smiled at Rock. He loved the way that she laughed when he laughed.
Kira reciprocated the peace sign and went back to the living room.
“I’m glad I brought the SUV,” Abe said when he looked at the large cardboard box full of packing material and wrapped presents. “Are these games and stuff?”
“Games, nail polish, hair things, toy cars, stickers, flash card
s, anything and everything she could grab to fill a cart,” Rock said. “I made her stop at one cart because I didn’t have room in the truck for any more than that.”
“I understand.” Abe smiled. “She is really a giving person. I wish she’d show her true side a little more.”
“I’m working on that,” Rock said. His smile was smirking, remembering the surrender he had received earlier in the morning before Carmen had woke.
“I can tell,” Abe said as they hauled the Christmas chest out to the SUV. “She seems very relaxed and very happy. Content. It’s more than just having Carmen here. It’s you as well.”
“Good,” Rock said as he slid the box into the SUV and waited for Abe to lower the back seat. “I like her. She’s good for me, too.”
“Good for you, too,” Abe repeated Rock’s words. “I can see that as well.”

Kira heard Rock laughing in the kitchen again and she didn’t see Abe in the living room. Obviously the two were getting along well so she didn’t worry but she couldn’t help but smile when she heard Rock laugh again. Vibrating deep into her chest. She felt so content.
“That laugh,” Carmen said smiling at Kira as Carmen looked toward the kitchen. “It itches you doesn’t it?”
“In all the right places,” Kira admitted, blushing.
“Drink up, girl,” Carmen said, handing Kira a glass of dark wine. “Maybe later tonight we can start on the barn or better yet, make naked snow angels and then jump in the Jacuzzi.”
“Naked snow angels sounds like a blast.” Kira grinned. Carmen could talk her into anything. “You know that you are a bad influence on me.”
“Please,” Carmen scoffed. “I’d never enjoyed exhibition until all of us danced naked in your front lawn. Now I can’t get enough of it. So who is the bad influence?”
“I’ve never been an exhibitionist,” Kira defended herself.
“Okay.” Carmen held her hand up. “So you don’t like public sex.”
Kira nodded her head.
“But when it comes to wearing the sexiest clothes ever you are like a store window mannequin and you don’t care what you are wearing and who sees you wearing it,” Carmen said, huffing a little.
Kira laughed and then tilted her head. That was usually the case. When she was in Florida, Colorado, Arizona, Texas, she hadn’t cared. So why did she care so much now? She frowned. Perhaps Carmen needed to look into that area of her psyche and help her out in there. Kira smiled again as she heard Rock start laughing. That deep belly laugh pulled at her heart and she couldn’t imagine never being able to not hear it or his deep voice.
“You are in love,” Carmen said.
Kira glanced up. “Probably, and I am so sorry for saying that you fall in love too quickly.”
“Maybe it’s that he demands more attention and services than any one you have been with before,” Carmen suggested. “You’ve never lived full time with anyone that wanted to be full time. You’ve never even lived full time with someone that didn’t want to be full time.”
Kira nodded her head. It was all that she could do.
“He’s a great guy,” Carmen said. “I’d love him, too. But you know me.”
Kira nodded her head again.
“Just be careful okay?”
Kira finally broke her silence. “It’s a little late for that.”
“I figured as much,” Carmen said and hugged her friend. “Well in the words of my best friend just let me say ‘It’s all good.’”
Kira laughed then and downed her glass of wine. She happily went into the kitchen for a refill and noticed that Rock and Abe had again stepped outside. She frowned. She just wanted to catch a glimpse of him again in the red t-shirt. He looked so handsome. She was glad that he had gone with the red and not the green. The green would’ve brought out the color of his left eye and it would’ve been more than she could handle.
Kira was struggling with the cork on the new bottle of wine when she was completely engulfed with a very strong set of arms.
“Need help with that, little flower?” Rock’s voice tingle from her back through her chest and made Kira’s nipples stand at full attention.
“I do, actually,” Kira said as she wrestled with the bottle. How did he do this to her? With just his voice? She was in trouble. She knew it and couldn’t help but like the dangerous side of the edge with which she was flirting.
Rock easily uncorked the bottle and leaned down to nip Kira’s ear as he refilled her glass. “Later. You and me under the mistletoe.”
Kira laughed hard and felt the blush going to her face. Anticipation ran through her. Carmen wouldn’t mind if they made a little noise upstairs as long as she didn’t hear it above her headphones. That had been their rule while roommates. Kira was sure that the same rules still applied.
“You are so pretty, Kira,” Rock said. He buried his nose in her hair and inhaled, loving the way that she smelled fresh and clean. Never fruity. He didn’t like fruit scents on women. He liked the natural smell of soap and feminine softness. Kira seemed to like lavender and rose the best. Both scents suited her perfectly.
“Thank you, Master,” Kira said softly. She glowed from the compliment. She quickly filled Carmen’s glass with the wine and left the room before she ended up naked on the kitchen island. Again.
When the guests had left, Kira and Carmen had busied themselves with cleaning up and putting away the leftovers. Rock had wanted another helping of food and Kira gladly served him, cleaning up his plate afterward as he retired to his room upstairs.
“You really are into the serving part of it huh?” Carmen asked. “He’s not just a bedroom Master is he?”
“I like it and no, his command extends past the bedroom,” Kira admitted.
“I always knew that you were more than just a bedroom type of girl,” Carmen said. “I just want the bedroom. Maybe a little punishment if I get sassy outside the bedroom but that’s it. I need to have my life, too.”
“I have my life,” Kira replied. “I work, do exactly what I was doing before he came but I just feel more grounded and happier when I am helping him. Doing his laundry even makes me happy.”
“Why?”
“Because he always is grateful that it’s done and put away just like he wants.” Kira blushed. “He likes the way it smells and thanks me for taking care of him. I mean I had to learn that he wants his long sleeves folded a certain way, pants hung on hangers, and stuff like that, but he was never mean while he told me how he preferred it. He even said that he liked the way I folded his underwear since he usually just stuffed them in a drawer.”
“So you are his slave then,” Carmen said.
“I-I don’t think so. I really don’t know,” Kira said, confused. “He doesn’t want me to kneel when he enters the room. I get to pick the music in the living room. I plan the meals, he makes requests but I make my own decisions.”
“Do you pick out your clothes?” Carmen asked.
“Sometimes,” Kira admitted. “I have to tell him where I am going.”
“Well that’s just common sense.” Carmen tapped her temple. “We did that as roommates. It’s for safety.”
“Has he been a Master before? Not the just ‘call me Master’ type of Dom but the ‘I am a Master’ type of Master?” Carmen asked.
“He’s been married twice and neither of the women did the submissive thing,” Kira admitted. “He has two adult boys, twin grandsons and kind of came into the dominant thing after his divorces. The divorces happened shortly after the kids were born.”
“So he doesn’t find women attractive once they have had babies?” Carmen asked.
“He was cheated on by both of them,” Kira said, lowering her eyes. She felt a little guilty spilling all of Rock’s secrets without his consent but this was her best friend and there were some things that had to be shared with a best friend. Especially a best friend who knew the lifestyle and knew what Kira may or may not be dealing with in a Dominant.
r /> “Subs helping subs,” Carmen said, patting Kira’s arm.
Kira smiled knowing that Carmen could read her emotions just as easily as the best Dominant.
“He’s been in relationships before that were healthy D/s relationships but never took it to this level,” Kira said. “We kind of just fell into it. I mean, I’m home during the day, can easily do the laundry, cook and get all the supplies. He in turn has plowed the driveway, helped carry things in from the store and he will be here when the clients come to look at the merchandise.”
“He seems very kind, but he also has that storm under those eyes,” Carmen said.
“That’s the edge, Carmen,” Kira explained. “I’ve never once seen him lose his cool. He is in control of his emotions at all times. It’s probably the first time that I have been completely terrified and felt protected at the same time. He’s scary but reassuring. Demanding yet teaching. Brute force but with a gentle hand.”
“You’ve got it bad.” Carmen sighed.
“I know.” Kira smiled and laughed. “Is there something wrong with me?”
“Not at all,” Carmen said and then cleared her throat. “We need cage time.”
“Oh God.” Kira rolled her eyes and felt her nerves go on end. Cage time meant brutal honesty with both of them locked in the cage and they couldn’t escape. It meant one person telling the truth, no matter how much the ears of the other didn’t want to hear it.
“You owe me,” Carmen said softly.
“I do,” Kira agreed as she steeled her nerves. This couldn’t be good. The last time that they had done cage time it had been Kira finally telling Carmen that she needed to stop falling in love with every Dominant. Carmen mistook control for love and Kira had called her on it. It hadn’t been pretty. Luckily the cage prohibited Carmen from drawing her fist back too far and Kira had received only superficial abrasions on her face, forearms and shins.
It hadn’t been a real fight. Carmen knew how to fight. She had grown up fighting. It had been more a sobbing slap fest that ended with Carmen admitting that Kira was right.
“When shall we do said cage time?” Kira asked. She was hoping that it would happen when she was way more intoxicated.
