So Hot MC Boxset

She was way off. “I don’t want any of that crap, Sarah. I want you.”
Smiling, she nodded. “And I want you too.”
“No, you didn’t let me finish.” I leaned over her, whispering into her ear, “I want you to have my baby, Mrs. Rush. I want to make you a mother.”
I’d been ready for her reaction. I’d imagined her moaning low, sexily saying yes to me. But I hadn’t counted on how she really reacted. Her body shook, then she let out a loud sob, “Oh, Axel!”
Pushing my top half up off of her, I didn’t know what to think. “You’re crying? What does that mean?”
She smacked me in the chest as tears ran down her red cheeks. “I was going to tell you on our ride today.”
“Tell me what?” She made no sense. I should’ve already been used to her reactions making no sense to me.
“I’m pregnant. I took a test last night. We’re about a month pregnant. Congrats, Daddy.” She wiped the tears away from her shimmering eyes.
So, there we were, living happily ever after with a family on its way. I bet no one saw that coming.

Chapter One
Carl
“Her name is Brittany Kelly. She’s thirty-five, works at Shenanigans Massage Parlor, and is the daughter of Arthur Kelly – the president of the Irish Reapers MC.” I’d seen the woman from a distance. Even from far away, she’d proven to be a total knockout. Long dark hair, silky, shiny, and bone straight, it served to accent her naturally tan skin and dark eyes. Eyes I had found haunting as they’d stared back into mine. “If we’re to gain some hold on this group, we’ve got to get some leverage. I think she’d make the best leverage we could have.”
Sitting at our round table, my council and I had to find a way to end the tyranny our most fierce MC rival had begun to rain down on us. Leo, the vice-president who sat to my right, drummed his thick fingers on the carved wooden table. “Kidnapping? I know you’re the president and the man in charge, Carl. But I’m not sure that kidnapping the daughter of the man who’s at the head of the MC who seems set on taking us down is the best idea.”
Our secretary, James looked at Leo with an expression of concern. “Am I to write that down, Leo? Are you wanting to state a disagreement with our president formerly?”
“No, not formerly. I do want to discuss other options though.” Leo wasn’t a man who made hasty decisions, we all knew that about him.
Lucas Hoss, our chaplain offered some sage advice, “Joe Shanklin is in jail, Leo. And Joe’s bar has been shut down permanently by the FBI. It’s no coincidence that three of the Irish Reapers had just started coming into the place only days before the raid. And all three of them were seeking cocaine. Which Joe sold them.”
The sergeant at arms, Clyde, added, “We know the Reapers are behind this sudden interest the FBI has in our establishments. They’ve been spotted in every single one of them throughout this last month, asking to purchase cocaine. It’s no coincidence that only a week after the deaths of three of their riders, that they’ve turned on us. With our rider, Ralph missing they alone knew of his relations with their MC. They’re not a bunch of stupid men. They know we’re behind all of that.”
Leo nodded, looking grim. “But I’m not much for kidnapping innocent women. I know that taking a woman from rivals is pretty much fair play in the world of MCs, but I don’t care much for that aspect of our culture.”
I couldn’t let his new-found sympathy get in the way of putting the Irish Reapers back into their own space and leaving ours alone. “Leo, you can look at it this way. Those men are brutal animals and we all are well aware of that fact. So, taking her away from them will only make her life better. We can keep her at Johnny’s vacation house. I’ve already made sure it was alright with him to do that. She’ll have a comfortable bed to sleep in and television to watch to keep her occupied. There’s even a bathroom attached to the master bedroom.”
“Sounds like a vacation to me,” our enforcer, Lyle said as he chuckled. “He’s right, Leo. We won’t treat her badly. She’ll merely be chained in the room, giving her enough length in the chain for her to move around, get to the bathroom and such.” He sounded like he’d been practicing the whole kidnapping scheme. When he winked, I knew I’d been right. “My old lady don’t mind it all when I play kidnapper with her. You can trust me to set her up right, Leo. We’ve gotta get to these bastards somehow and these sons of bitches don’t have much they hold dear. Kelly’s daughter is about all we can find to hold over their heads to get them to back the fuck off.”
I’d noticed that Steve, our treasurer hadn’t weighed in with his opinion yet. “Steve, do you have anything to say about this?”
Being a methodical man, he ran his hand over his long greying beard as he contemplated my idea. “The Irish Reapers have lost three of their own. We’ve lost one of ours, but he wasn’t really our brother anyway, it seems. And now, we’ve got the Reapers on our ass, trying to end our way of making money. Losing Joe’s Bar means losing thousands of dollars each week in our cocaine trade. If they somehow manage to get even one more of our legit businesses shut down, we’re going to start getting into financial difficulties.”
I was glad I’d brought our treasurer into the discussion. “We can’t afford to sit back and hope the Reapers will decide to back off on their own then, can we, Steve?”
“No, we have to act and act fast,” he agreed with a slow nod. “But is kidnapping the best way to do that? That’s my question, Carl. Is she going to really be worth enough to get their leader to call off their FBI hound dogs?”
Danny, the road captain looked at me. “What else do you know about this woman, other than her age, where she works, and what her name is?”
I didn’t know a hell of a lot. But I did know one more vital thing about her. “She is his only daughter. He’s got one son who has nothing to do with him. Brittany seems to be the only family member who has a thing to do with her father. The massage parlor is owned by a Haden Murphy, the sergeant at arms for their MC. She’s worked at that place since she was only 15. I had my daughter, Sarah, find that information out for us. She went in to get a massage and got the woman to divulge all we now know about her.”
Leo shifted in his seat, uneasily. “How would we do the actual kidnapping? We’ve got the FBI all over us, Carl. If we get caught doing something like that, then we might all be sent to the pen.”
Since it had been my revenge on our rivals that had caused their retaliation, I was prepared to take all the responsibility in the kidnaping if it came down to it. “I’ll do it, Leo. I’ll kidnap her. And if we get caught, I alone will take the blame. We all won’t go to the pen, only I would.”
Leo had done his time for our MC. The Iron Cobras had asked him to take the blame in a drug-running charge ten years back. He’d spent three years in prison for that. It wasn’t that he’d had it so much harder than anyone else, but he’d found out that he had terrible claustrophobia. Those years had been hell on him.
James, the youngest of us at only twenty-nine looked at Leo with worry. “Hey, Leo, you’re not afraid of going to jail, right?”
“Hell, yeah I am.” Leo drummed his fingers harder on the table as he stared at it. “I need wide open spaces, James. You wouldn’t understand. It’s tight in that place. There are men all around you all the damn time. And you’ve got to share a tiny-ass cell with one of them. I mean tiny too. When you can stretch out your arms and your fingertips touch each wall, that’s too fucking small.”
James looked at me with a bit of confusion on his face. “Boss, isn’t that like
a weakness?”
I wasn’t about to label Leo as weak. “James, to some it might be a weakness that would put them out of the Iron Cobras. But Leo has done so much for this club, that we overlook his phobia. And he did his time and will do more if it becomes necessary. He’s vowed that much to us.” Turning my attention to Leo, I raised my brows. “Isn’t that right, Leo?”
“Yes, it’s right.” He looked from one man to the next. “My phobia has made it so that I thoroughly think things through before acting on them. This is the main reason I was voted in as vice-president – to put reality into the spin of things we do. And the reality is that kidnapping carries a stiff penalty. It’s not a thing to be taken lightly. If you think paying the price for selling drugs is bad, you have no idea what stealing a person can cost you.”
Danny leaned forward, placing his arms on the table, clasping his hands as he wore a serious expression. “Let’s hammer out all the details, Carl. How long would you keep her?”
“I think we could give the Irish Reapers a month to be on good behavior before she is to be released. As long as the FBI stops snooping around our establishments for that amount of time, we should declare a truce. I have taken my vengeance for the murder of my wife. That’s all I care to take from that MC. Once we have them understanding that what’s done is done and there will be no more retaliation, we should be good. At least until they pull some other shit. Which they most likely will.”
Lucas put his hands together in prayer form. “I would like to put an end to our rivalry if at all possible. This is my mission as the chaplain of the Iron Cobras. I want to be the man who ended the rivalry that has cost us men, women, and in some terrible and tragic cases, children.”
We all bowed our heads and took a moment of silence as we paid tribute to one of our lost brothers. David Cook and his family of four had been on a family outing when six members of the Irish Reapers came upon them. David’s old lady was of Irish descent and one of the Reapers had taken a liking to her years earlier.
From what we had gathered the man who’d once sought her affection lost his mind when he saw her with an Iron Cobra. And to have procreated with the man was just too much for him to bear. So, he ordered the men with him to take them all out.
We lost one of our brothers and his entire family in a matter of a few minutes. Sure, we’d gotten revenge on the bastards. But we lost people that no amount of vengeance could give back to us.
The bad blood between our MCs ran deep and had been running for such a long time that most didn’t think things would ever truly get better between us. I thought Lucas needed to be reminded of that. “Lucas, while that is an admirable thing to have as a mission, I do fear you will not live to see the day when our two MCs can actually get along. Too much has happened.”
Nodding in agreement, he went on, “I know we’ll never be shaking hands, patting backs, exchanging hugs. But I think that we can exist in a way where none of us are watching our backs for what might come at him. A truce is what I’m talking about, Carl. I would be happy with that. And if we can work hard enough at it, I think we can achieve that goal.”
Lyle looked grim as his jaw clenched. “Chaplain, I admire your heart. But I ain’t about to get soft where those bastards are concerned. They’ve done too much to hurt our brothers in the past. If I’m going to be perfectly honest, it wouldn’t upset me a bit if they all fell off the planet. As a matter of fact, I think our whole world would be better if that happened.”
Eyeing our chaplain, I hoped he knew his mission might not be a thing every one of our brothers would be willing to see happen. “But if we do come to a truce, Lyle, you will follow that.”
“I would.” He wasn’t a stupid man. “I am an Iron Cobra and I will do as my president says to.”
“But you wouldn’t like it.” I knew he wouldn’t.
He nodded. “I have a right to my opinion. I just don’t have the right to act on it when a direct order is in place.”
“On another note, has anyone talked to Joe’s old lady?” Lucas asked. “We need to be sure she’s taken care of while he’s vacationing with the state.”
I’d already talked to Joe’s running buddy about her. “Our rider, Blaine Roberts is seeing to her needs. She’s in good hands.” I wanted to get the vote done, so I could get to making my plans. “So, are we ready to take a vote, or does anyone have any more questions to ask?”
“I have everything I need to know to make my vote,” Leo said a bit too quickly to make me feel secure in a yes vote from him.
“So, you know that I will be taking sole responsibility for this?” I asked him. “And you will not be asked to watch over her at any time. You have expressed your disinterest to be involved in this and I respect that. I won’t involve you unless there is no other way around it. You have my word, Leo.”
“Thank you, Carl. You are a fair man and I respect that about you.” He looked at Clyde who sat next to him. “And what about you, Clyde? Are you ready to make your vote?”
“I am.”
We went all the way around the table of Iron Cobra council members and each man was ready to make their vote. I was more than ready to get the answer I hoped was a yes.
To put the Irish Reapers in their place had to be done quickly. We’d just dished out a hell of a lot of our money to open a new strip club a few months back, we couldn’t take this financial hit right now. I was sure the Reapers knew that too and that was precisely the reason they’d gone that route to repay us for the loss of their brothers.
Keeping that woman with us until her father caved, might be a bit of an inconvenience but I was sure it would be well worth it in the end. She was all the family he had really. If anyone had ever taken my daughter away from me, I would’ve agreed to anything. Sarah was my life now that my wife was gone. She was all the family I had left and felt sure that Arthur Kelly had to have thought at least some of the same ways I did about my daughter.
“Yes,” came Leo’s vote.
One after another, my brothers and fellow council members voted yes to my proposal of kidnapping Brittany Kelly for the matter of one month or until the Reapers agreed to back off and rein in their FBI Pitbulls.
But with a kidnapping came the responsibility of taking care of that person for an extended amount of time.
God, I hope this woman isn’t a raging bitch.
Chapter Two
Brittany
“It’s five already, Kiko. You can take off now. I’ll close up at six. I can handle things if anyone comes in this last hour.” I looked in the full-length mirror, inspecting myself from head to toe. Being Friday, I was planning to head out after closing up the massage parlor I worked at. What I was going to do was still up in the air, but I was going to do something, that was for sure.
Pulling my hair into a high ponytail, I pouted as Kiko came up behind me. “Brittany, what are you doing?”
“Just trying to see if I should put my hair up or not.” Releasing my hair, it fell like a curtain around my shoulders. “It’s so straight and I can’t ever do anything with it.”
Her dark eyes rolled as she headed toward the door. “You’re so crazy. You have amazing hair. People kill for that kind of hair. Have a nice weekend off. See you, Monday.”
“Yeah, you too.” I sighed as she left me alone. The last hour of Fridays always seemed to go on and on forever. We never got tons of actual massage business. My father’s MC, the Irish Reapers, owned the massage parlor. It was a front for illegal activities. Sometimes we laundered cash. Sometimes we rented out hookers. Sometimes we were asked to leave for a little while when other things we weren’t meant to see went on.
I’d grown up within the MC. My father had become the president a few years back. Not that it made me any more special. I’d been put to work at the massage parlor when I was fifteen and had sprouted boobs. The only thing my father wouldn’t allow them to do to me was prostitute me. I guess that was his way of saying, I love you. The real words had never passed his
lips in my entire life.
The sound of the bell tinkling over the door made me look up and there stood a mountain of a man. “Hi,” I whispered. Silver hair lit up around his ruggedly handsome face. Ice-blue eyes stared back at me. “You here for a massage?” I wanted to pound myself in the head.
Of course, he’s here for a massage, you idiot. Why else would he have come in here?
He ran one big hand over the beard that matched the thick mop of silver that cascaded down his shoulders. It was wavy and I had the idea he’d had it in a braid before. “Yep.”
“Right this way.” I gestured for him to follow me. I felt his eyes on my body as I walked in front of him. His purely masculine presence wasn’t a thing I could ignore. “I’m Brittany. What should I call you?”
Silence was all I heard for a long moment, then he said with a deep gravelly voice, “You can call me anything you’d like, Brittany.”
So, another man who doesn’t want me to know his name - typical.
This often meant that he was there, seeking a massage with a happy ending. Which I didn’t do happy endings. First of all, one has to have experienced at least one happy ending and I had not. My endings had all been sad, disastrous, or cruel.
Opening the door to the legit massage room, I pointed at the table. “You can undress behind that curtain, put the towel on the vanity around your waist, then lie facedown on the bed, making sure to put your face in the opening at the top.” It might’ve sounded like something that didn’t need to be said, but I’d let it slide a time or two before and what I walked back in on wasn’t something I desired to witness again.
“Got it.” He moved passed me, our bodies nearly touching.
I held my breath as my body heated. The reaction wasn’t typical of me at all. But the man hit all my buttons in the attraction department, so I guessed my reaction was to be expected. “I’ll be right back, sir.”
